So I had went to a barber in the city & was disappointed by the cut. I googled shops who cut African American hair & came across this place. I walked in & Kat was friendly. I showed her a pic of a beard fade & trim & she was like I got you. No other person besides an African-American has ever cut my hair so I must admit I was like, “ok?!” She laid me back in the chair & went to work. Clippers, razor with cream, A GREAT FADE on the side & trimmed me GOOD! Ask for Kat. She is the bomb! I will be back!

Heather has been my stylist for the lasts 2 years, and I refuse to go to anyone else. She is great at what she does, always make me look nice and clean, and she is proud of her work, meaning she is meticulous about every detail, resulting in a flawless haircut and style. The salon is clean, organized, and well run. They sanitize their equipment and tools, wear masks/face shields, and do their best to keep everyone safe during this pandemic.

Frequent visitor of coolheads, they usually do a pretty good job and always have great staff. My visit today was very disappointing compared to what I’m used to. I had schedule my appointment the day before as I always do, confirmed I was coming when I got my confirmation text, and checked in upon arrival. About 20 minutes later, another guest showed up for his appointment (scheduled 30 minutes after mine) and he was taken back before me! I showed her my confirmation text, and she said that it was impossible because she was on break and it wouldn’t have let me schedule for that time. I was on a tight schedule for the day and ended up just leaving, and still think they deserve 3 stars because of the quality service they provide, just wanted to share my experience.

Finding a good barber is harder than finding a good primary care physician! my first time in here I had the privilege of getting my haircut and beard trim done by Lizah. It didnt take me long to know that I had found my forever home for all haircutting needs. Although I will only let Lizah cut my hair (because her attention to detail is impeccable) ive seen great haircuts every time I visit this spot. The entire staff is very friendly and fun to be around. I wish there was an option for 10 stars because this place and these ladies deserve it. Huge shoutout to Lizah though, I think she cares about my hair more than I do! Ive never cared too much about my haircuts until now. She is also an absolute artist with beards.

We love this place. Moved here in June 2020 from West Texas and needing to find a new place for haircuts. We came here once and haven’t looked for another place since. Kiki is amazing! Ive been coming to Cool Heads for about a year now and have had nothing but a positive experience each visit. The staff are all friendly, the waiting area is comfortable, and the haircuts are great. I have also never had to wait more than 10 minutes when making a reservation online.My first appointment with Lizah was on a first available basis, but I have made sure to keep my appointments with her since as she does a very thorough and detailed job. I would absolutely recommend Cool Heads, and Lizah, to anyone in need of a haircut.

I should’ve read the reviews first.Walk in and immediately notice a “discount applied to haircut if you leave positive review online”Finally get to sit in the chair an hour later as a walk in after my reservation said 0 wait time. Stylist immediately starts asking me specific questions about what I want as if I’m the one that went to cosmetology school.“Back of your head, tapered? Squared or rounded edge? How much off top? What to what fade? Is this where your old line up was?”I DON’T KNOW! I’m blind as a bat and I’m not supposed to know where my perennial line is...that’s your job as a stylist!End result? Embarrassment. Two hair parts for the price of one!!!For the price? Go somewhere else. Now to figure out what do with this tuft of hair between two parts.

I have been to every haircut establishment within 20 minutes drive of Flower Mound multiple times, and Liza is hands down the best mens hairstylist that I have ever had. Cool heads was closed during the Covid outbreak, so I went to went to another stylist in Coppell who did an amazing job and I received many compliments on my haircut. When Cool Heads opened up, I didnt even think twice about going back to the other stylist. What can I say, Liza is the best, but dont take my word for it, go and see for yourself.

They did a wonderful job! I brought my husband here to get his beard & long hair cleaned up for some job interviews. My husband isnt much of a talker and so I did most of the talking to the stylist (Trivia) when we arrived. We told her we were pretty unfamiliar with the entire beard trimming process and asked for her input and clarifications a lot. She was very kind and explained everything she was doing for us. And best of all for my husband, she didnt make chit chat with him (which he was very grateful of!) It is nice to have stylists who can distinguish when to and when not to talk to their clients. We were very pleased with our experience here!!

The business is new and there are times where it is very busy to where it is very easy to get right in for your cut. The entire facility is extremely clean (as expected) and well organized. There were two people working and both were very inviting and answered everything with a smile. No hard sale and instead gave up-front advice and answers to everything asked. Perhaps most importantly though – the cut was perfect! I opted for the luxury cut to compare all services and everything was great and compared to other men’s barber/salons the price was very competitive and the services relaxing and not rushed. Definitely worth my business.

Keith was the guy who cut my hair, and he did a great job. I called in an appointment about 1.5hrs in advance from when I wanted to be seated, arrived 10 minutes early and enjoyed a cold brewski while I waited for him to finish up another client. When he finished I was greeted with good customer service and got a PHENOMENAL cut, exactly what I wanted and then some. Got a great bald fade and he took care of shaping my beard as well. I immediately recommended this barber/salon to my close friends who lived nearby. I will be returning to this shop in the near future.

Cool heads. Your door says you close at 7 m-f. I had family comming in earlier and they were told 7 as well. I walk in at 6 and the lady said it was already closed. That you close at 6. I noticed there was some one waiting for her outside in a car parked using two car spaces.. Over all not a good image cool heads not for the area where you are in. If you gonna close at 6 then say that online and at your door. She already left and your online page says you are open. And finally tell your employees boyfriends/family to park properly./Update: I was just told. 2 months later by the owner to chill. Instead of saying something like my apologies for the bad experience, we will make sure we post a note on the door when out of control events cause the business to close early or... I will have a talk with my employees to make sure they communicate with their significant others how important is to respect the community.. Definitely not the first time they reject customers so cant say that covid19 was the real excuse or not.. May be yes. What about the other times? Anyways. I have never seen a chill out in a customer service training as a way to respond to a customer.

Been there twice.Service vastly differs based on the stylist I got. The recent experience was suboptimal. Ended up with an improperly done hair color and wet shirt (from the hair wash).

Before the Virus I see 2-3 poor reviews of quality, to poor value, to unprofessional and turning away customers timing. 4 mo. ago I clearly see 4-5 great reviews for a stylist named Leslie, have not seen her on the scheduled. Poor reviews keep being posted. Quality of staff clearly hasnt stayed. A clear reflection on the owner, poor reviews prove poor ownership.

Place is nice and clean. The staff is friendly enough and the cut was good.....but it is not really a guys place.Cool heads is billed as a place for men. The place is yellow....not manly. You get the requisite mens salon beer if you want, but the place does not feel like a guys place. No wood, television, etc.The cut is great, the staff is friendly.......I will be back, but if you are looking for a boys club.....this isnt it

The staff and environment is good. The haircut isnt much better then a cut at a great clips. When discussing a style thats listed on their own webpage the stylist wasnt knowledgeable of it. Instead talked about video games. And I dont want to hear how your ready to leave for the day. I want professional opinion and not video game or life complaints discussion. If your looking for anything more then a traditional mens buzz cut they dont add extra layering nor styling for your hair pattern/hair cut nir approach it in that way. I will need to keep looking for a better place they boast high quality but its not what I got. Just an average hair cut. Essentially I have seen better at cheaper places it depends on the stylists the store hires.

This is reviewed a few months after its grand opening, by a man (from a mens services point of veiw). The interior is trendy and clean. There is a large TV with console gaming for anyone interested, as well as a complimentary beverage (adult beverage and sodas) for those waiting. Check-in and payments are handled from a tablet on the welcome station. services are not pushed on you, so you may need to ask if youd like anything beyond a hot face towel and a wash.

I love this place. The staff is very friendly and gives great haircuts. I like all the hairdressers and have had very meaningful conversations with them all. I wish the place was more busy so I could spend time playing Xbox One in the waiting area.

Erika, the stylist who cut my hair was great. She did an excellent job and made it a comfortable experience.The Salon is great inside and they even offer complimentary beverages.So try CoolHeads out!

I’ve brought my toddler son here three times. Each time his stylist was Trevia. She’s awesome!! He’s just a little guy but she’s super patient with him and his hair always turns out great. We like to let him wear it long but just want to keep it out of his eyes and off his ears. Trevia always does a great job listening to what we want and then delivering. We will keep coming back

Blue Hair, Sweat Pants, and Bad Hair Cutsthis is what you can expect when you come to this place. Very disorganized and no management or customer service available. Ive never been to a place where I felt more disregarded. Imagine going to a restaurant and sitting for an hour and no one acknowledges you. This was the kind of service I received. Even though I had a reservation and they said my haircut would be at 5:00, I didnt actually get to sit in the chair until 6:30. Why? Because people kept on showing up and they were taken in before me. The reason given was because they were running way behind There were only 2 stylists and finally at 6:15 after being passed up by 3 other people, I think I am next. Nope, another gentleman that had just came in went before me. Her response as to why was, well, he requested me. I was seen, finally, 15 minutes later. Blue hair, pajama pant lady proceeded to give me the worst haircut Ive had since I was 13 and going to supercuts. Not only was the work bad, I got yelled at when I asked her about my shampoo. I requested during my phone reservation as well as when I signed into their iPad. I own an inc5000 company and Dallas top 100 company, only mentioning to say that the owner did not care to reach out and find out what is going on in their establishment, but instead wanted to discredit everything without investigating. Not a good sign of a great company. Most all my reviews are 5 star to elevate and appreciate the people that take care of me but this place is beyond repair.

This was my first time coming to this barber shop. And when I came in I got right in and got my hair cut by Trevia who did an exceptional job. I would recommend her to anyone.

I will not be back. I went to this shop twice previously and had pretty good haircuts from Liza. I made an appointment today for 4:30 PM online with the Liza and showed on time for my appointment. When I entered there was another gentleman in Lizas chair, who I assumed she was just finishing up. I ended up waiting until 5 PM when Liza finished the other mans haircut. At this point I was disgruntled because I had to be somewhere by 5:15 to pick someone up. I did make other arrangements with my wife so I could still get the haircut but this was a significant inconvenience for us. After Liza finished and cleaned up her station, she announced she was ready, I told her I was ready at 4:30 and she apologized for apparently double booking the appointment time. I understand that this could happen, but when I asked her if I was going to get something free she became immediately indignant. It bothered me that she would get offended my request. Prior to my arrival at the shop I was actually thinking I would buy one of their memberships today. But it was very off-putting to me that she would be offended by an upset customer requesting compensation of some kind for their inconvenience.I decided to leave and not return and left the store but as I was leaving I heard Liza say God Bless Ya as an insult, so I returned inside to discuss that comment and explain further how she had inconvenienced me. That was when the other stylist I believe her name is Trevia began telling me to leave. This woman is extremely rude and when I asked if she was the manager she did nothing but respond with You need to leave she never answered my question. She apparently wasnt the manager and neither was Liza. So there isn’t anyone on the premises that represents the best interests of the company That’s a curious way to run a business. So I was finally able to explain to Liza how badly she had inconvenienced my entire family and it was at this point that I realized that I would never be treated fairly by these two women so I left. Liza decided to again announce God Bless ya to me as I left.I have a small service business and I completely understand appointments get fouled up, but when a customer is obviously upset you should try to make it right or at least try to find out the overall problem. Trevia could have tried to talk to me before Liza was finished with the previous man, but she seemed more concerned with cleaning the sink than helping the situation. Also, when a customer expresses their being upset, then try asking them to explain their grievance rather than argue with them. Finally dont get insulted if a customer asks for something, and definitely dont insult them as your last contact.If I were you, I’d look for somewhere else to get an expensive regular haircut.Response to owner update:The other stylist is lying, never once did she offer to cut my hair. I watched her do some cleaning while I waited. I let this woman know i had an appointment when I initially entered the shop on my way to the restroom. She never again spoke to me until after things went sour.

This place has really gone down hill. Saturdays trip to get my flattop trimmed up yielded a buzzcut that could have been done by a high school freshman. The only reason Im giving one star is because Im not allowed lower ratings. This is not a good place to go unless you are looking for a buzzcut and then I must admit you could find better elsewhere. Im looking for a different place to get my haircut!
