Jaeden is the one of the most caring stylists in this branch, and I HIGHLY recommend going to her if you have curly hair. For someone with curly hair, it is so important to treat our hair with the right products. She is the only stylist that has cared for me and explained how curly hair should be cut in contrast to how other hair stylists cut them. She is so sweet and will listen to your concerns about your hair! I have been seeing her for a year, and it always makes my day to see her warm smile!

Probably one of the worst customer service I have encountered in a long time.Hair masters has canceled 3 of the 4 appointments I ve made, and each time didnt notify. I didnt find out until I was at the salon and it was either closed due to new hours, or the booking system allegedly isnt working.The third time,There was a girl sitting at the desk, zero customers and she told me my appointment didnt book due to issues with the booking site/app, so she couldnt help me,ZERO cares

I have never had such an amazing experience going into a Hair Masters. Walk in and they require masks which is great, I am glad they are doing their part to keep everyone safe and healthy. I was assisted by young lady named Jae I am very picky with how my hair needs to be cut and right off the bat I could tell my stylist knew what she was doing. I was in and out of there in no time with the best hair cut of my life! 10/10 will do again!

Call to make appointment, do not use booking system!!I made two appointments online for the same time (myself and my child) but was told when I got there that they already had other appointments. The gal was not nice about it, she told me that she tried to call, and that they would have to do our appointments back to back instead of simultaneously. She kept telling me that they already had other appointments. When I looked at my call log, I realized that they did call, but it was a phone call earlier in the day where I picked up, said hello a few times, and heard nothing, so I hung up. They did not bother to try again. Also the only other appointment that actually showed up while we were there was for 30min after our appointment time.I originally was going to make this a one or two star review, but thankfully, another stylist was able to start my haircut while my kids was still being finished. The woman who was mildly rude to me at first was pretty patient and friendly with my kid, which I appreciated. And the stylist who did my hair (Malaika, I think) was fantastic, if I could rate her separately from the business, it would be 5-stars without a doubt.In the end, we had a good experience and we didnt actually have to wait any longer than planned because the other appointments apparently never showed up.EDIT 02/04/2021: Had a great haircut experience today with Vanessa, updating this review to 5 stars.

Just left the salon, Im so mad. The young girl with short black hair went to cut my sons hair and cut his ear. And didnt tell me she did it, she went in the back and got a bandaid. When I saw the band aid I asked if she cut him and she said yes, no apologies no nothing she just stood there. I took the cap off and we ln left. There were 2 other girls in there and no one said Im sorry. My son got to the car and was crying. The cut was long.Never will I ever go back their with my family

Says open? But the lady wont cut hair till 430? Close the place till 430 then??!. Just came in a month later for a walk in. No one in the store. Lady is outside talking on her phone. Cant take a walk in because your busy on the phone?! I WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN. YOU NEED TO CHANGE THE SIGN WALK INS ARE NOT WELCOME

Autumn did an amazing job with foils and styling my hair, and Im a very picky client when it comes to customer service and having things done correctly. The price was amazing compared to what Ive paid in the past and I left feeling amazing. My son and my hubby went to Courtney and they both left with amazing cuts. Im thankful that weve found a great place to go as a family.

Autumn is awesome. She always does her best to squeeze me in on short notice when she can and has cut my kids hair since his first haircut. She does a fantastic job every time. She always manages to go with the flow with him (almost 3 years old) and deals with his craziness in the chair with ease. Will definitely keep coming back

I am really disappointed with my stylist. The first cut was wonderful, but thats where it ended. I tried 3 more times hoping I would get the quality of the first time, but never did, plus the stylists attitude wasnt good. Last time I came back and cut my own hair, after spending $19. Not again.

Got here at 6pm. They only have 1 person working and she said she was on her last customer for the night. The cuts are good if they will take you. Being sent away when they dont close for 2 hours is BS.

I go there every other week for a hair cut. I tend to just walk in (as opposed to making an appointment) and they usually can fit me in somewhere. Never had a bad experience and been going there for a while.

I went and got my hair cut it was by far the worst one I have ever had. I will be calling tomorrow and complaining I wish i could post the pictures but there was holes cut in my hair all over us was hacked was and understatement

Autumn was pretty rude to the kid in front of me and my own son. I came in to have my sons hair cut and after listening to the way she spoke to the kid before us, I should have left. My son needed a hair cut bad and I have limited time. I should have just let it go one more day. She seems to have no patience or manners. She was pretty rude to me as well. No eye contact, barely spoke to me. Only spoke to my son to bark an order or say something borderline mean to him. I will just never go back there again.

Asked for split ends and a style for my daughter...she cut about 5 inches off and sent her out the door...will not ever be back.

I went to Mastecuts in Ferndale today and got a full head foil highlights with toner and haircut. Autumn was my stylist and let me tell you, she did an amazing job. I felt so relaxed because she listened to what I wanted and she was so confident in herself and what she does that I felt at ease from the start. I had 2 horrible experiences in the past couple of years that I was afraid to get my hair done again. I am so thrilled with how my hair looks now. Very unprofessional they messed up with our appointment 2 times I made the appointment and when I went their they said there is no appointment were made and the lady was so rude to us they just loose there 2 regular customer.Very poor customer service

Literally came here 4 times this week every time i come she out side on her phone or inside on her phone it says it welcomes walkin but i tried 4 times this week an every time theres no one there just her an her phone but she busy crazy just dont wanna drive to bham for a hair cut or get it messed up at great clips

Don’t plan on walking in without an appointment. Walked in at 10 am on a Sunday and was told the next available appointment was at 3 pm. If I wanted to wait for an appointment I’d go to a real salon. There was one employee and she said she was the only one working all day. Fail!! Took my business to Supercuts and walked in- no appointment required.

The lady who did my hair was extremely rude and didn’t even have a conversation with me. when she was washing my hair, she pulled it very hard, multiple times. also she cut it shorter than i told her to. i will never go back, and don’t recommend going there.

Poor experience. This particular branch cannot keep hairstylists so if you do find someone you like chances are they will be gone next time you visit. There is no answering machine, and staff are consistently late to work. Website says they open at 9 am, but the phone has never been answered. Ive been calling this morning (Thursday) and have yet to speak to a stylist. Its 9:40. I wont be coming back.
