Took my truck in for an alignment. I had previously taken it to two other shops that were unable to align it within specs. John was able to get it aligned perfectly and in under 2 hours. Great business experience and service. Definitely recommend them.

I just got charged twice any place is ever charged me just to look at a noise, he told me that all they had to do was put a crowbar under the tire but then when I asked why I was being charged so much he said because they had to pay for two hours worth of labor absolute full of lies do not go to this place on my suspension and the quote that was given to me was nearly twice as much as City garage pep boys or Christian Brothers has ever quoted me for the exact same job they have absolutely tried to start robbing people. I would love a response to this you know you guys just robbed me

James at the front desk is very knowledgeable, he will go through all the options and be honest on the work that needs to be done.I have taken both my personal vehicles and company truck to be worked on. When i was provided a time frame for the work to be completed it was always meet, the one time it took a day longer he called me and apologized, asked if it was okay to get the car back to me mid next day.I had absolutely no problem giving them that extra time, since to that point everything has always gone smoothly.The crew really knows what they are doing and will get it done right the first time. There was some simple things that really made me trust them, when i asked if they can do certain work, they said they could but mentioned because of the mechanics qualifications, they are compensated more, (which is a great thing) but something as simple as a alignment or a oil change would cost me more, as opposed to a shop that does that more specifically, they suggested to me to take it there if i was just looking at better pricing with the same quality.At this point of working with them for a couple years now, for mayor repairs, Bens is the only shop i would ever consider taking it to.Bens Auto Repair, Keep up the great honest work!Thank you!

Also seeing what had to be perfect looking cars in the shop being worked on as Bens personal projects gives me a good idea of just how great work they must do. Cant wait to deliver here again!!!

What do you do when you are stuck with a broken down car in Dallas when you are 4 1/2 miles from home? You take your car to Bens Auto repair!Seriously, I was freaked out that my car broke down and I dont know anything about Dallas. I looked up auto repair on my Foursquare App and found Bens. Cross referenced on Google...good reviews...so I called. Ben gave me great directions to his shop and took a look at my car 30 minutes before they closed. Ben gave me great advice. Unfortunately my car wasnt going to make it home, so Ben gave me a ride to a motel. First thing in the morning I got a call from Ben with an estimated time to completion. It was done in 3 hours, earlier than he thought. I was in a situation where I really could have been ripped off. But I paid a fair price and I was on my way home.I found Ben to be trustworthy and honest. Have no doubts... go to Bens.

Ive known James Bess for 7 years, and trustworthy mechanics are hard to find but look no further. Hell tell you exactly whats going on with your vehicle, what needs to be done and what can wait. This guy is to cars what the horse whisperer is to horses. Would definitely recommend this shop to anyone who appreciates honesty and quality work. A+++I also heard a rumor he can do a four wheel alignment on a moped. (Joking of course)

Fixed my car, also stole a part out of it because I had to do my own work on it. Not an expensive piece but still. Called to ask if they still had it a couple days after I realized.They didn’t offer to look for it. I was told to come up there, they also said they weren’t responsible and I needed to prove to them that I had it. I mean really!? I pay y’all to fix my car but they only did part of the job. Thank you guys so much!

I have been going to Ben for a year now for regular repairs and hes always been honest and fair. When my car got damaged in the hail storm a few months ago my car was totalled by insurance. Since I couldnt afford to replace the car, I took the salvage and the payout, and went to Ben. His price was over $1000 cheaper than the insurance body shop, and he even fixed a few extras that they wouldnt have done! The car turned out absolutely perfect and I am so happy with it! It looks brand new, and as always Ben and his staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout the lengthy repair.

To people suspicious of five star reviews: No, seriously, this was a five star experience! I first took my Camry, after a moderate fender bender, to Toyota Irving, but they were dismissive (not quite rude) and tried hard to total the vehicle, expecting a bonus from State Farm, instead of giving a fair estimate of damages and vehicle value. They put repairs at 4000. But then I called Bens after seeing the great reviews and they didnt disappoint, with a final cost of 2500. They were very polite on the phone and gave me more info than I asked for, rather than trying to rush through the call. Bens was one of only two shops I called willing to do a free visual and written estimate for me before bringing out an adjustor from state farm. When I brought in the vehicle, Ben looked at it, and even though it was the end of the work day, he took the initiative and time to help me tie on my bumper with a tighter knot than the previous knot. This was especially nice since he had other things to do and I wasnt even a paying customer yet. I was determined to go with Bens auto repair so I left the vehicle with them. When they heard that my insurance wasnt covering a rental car, they showed awesome concern for me and went out of their way to bump me up the line past other drivers who did have rentals. Not a very typical way of treating customers now a days! And like I said, the price was way better than my first estimate. The repairs looked as good as expected, so I didnt get the feeling they were cutting corners to hit that low price. I have no complaints about the experience, besides that they have virtually no room to park. However, thats just because its a well reviewed and popular place with a lot of vehicles waiting to be fixed. Thanks guys for your great work! I hope i dont have another accident, but I would definitely come back.

Very shady business practice.I dropped my truck off because I had a bad coolant leak. I called back in the afternoon to check if they had found the problem and to my surprise not only did they find the problem but they fixed it without my consent. So i paid $190 for a coolant reservoir that I cant find online anywhere for more than $70. I also paid $120 for labor that would have taken my 30-40 minutes of work in my own garage. All of which without even a phone call to ask if it was ok. Very disappointing.

Ive been a customer of Bens Auto Repair for over 9 years and he always gets the job done great! I do not understand the review by Amir (below) because every job Ben has done for me was far above what I expected because he is very detailed about his work. I am glad I found a neighborhood auto repair shop like Bens Auto Repair to take care of our family cars over the years: Lexus ES 300, Navigator, Mitsubishi Montero, Ford Explorer. He works on old and new cars and is great with electric work as well! Great turn around time! He is an honest business owner and he cares for his customers. I highly recommend Bens services to any car owner.

Took my car in there to have an alternator replaced---they replaced it under warranty and all I had to pay for was the labor. They also replaced my serpentine belt since it was going bad...2 weeks later, squeaking of the car occurs when I turn my car on and when I accelerate. Take it in there, they replace the serpentine belt---2 weeks later, same problem. Took it back and they replaced a bolt and nut for the idler pulley...4 weeks later, still the same problem, take it back and this time they replace the tensioner...4 weeks later, same problem. FINALLY took it to ACURA and they were cheaper, received a loaner car (I know this is a dealership but its a plus), and no squeaking anymore. They replaced the belt tensioner with the CORRECT ACURA PART that I told them I wanted and they said this would work. HORRIBLE FRONT DESK, HORRIBLE SERVICE, JAMES AT THE FRONT IS A FKN IDIOT. HAS NO IDEA ABOUT CARS AND WILL SPIT ANY BS TO YOU. TAKE IT TO YOUR DEALERSHIP.

Scam...Got my vehicle towed to this place, spent almost $500 in service, just to have to get it towed somewhere else better! After reading all the good reviews I assumed this was a trustworthy business...not so!....It wasnt the point of my vehicle not being perfect after spending this type of money, its the point of these people tell you a certain thing is wrong, charge all this money, and my car broke down on the backside of the bulding...not even 5 feet from the place!! I go back to discuss this with James, and he seemed to be the rudest person in customer service I have ever had to deal with, no remorse, no understanding, but very willing to let me know if I spend an additional $411 that my vehicle will then be running to standards...like what!! And then goes to tell one of his colleagues that he told me that my motor was shot from the beginning...so with that being said he was still willing to offer almost $1,000 worth of service for a motor he says he told me was already shot, which was a complete lie!!! I really trusted this place, had a good vibe before getting my money, but treated me as nothing afterwards...didnt offer me a ride home, to fix the problem, to even look at what was wrong, just let me sit in the back of their bulding and wait on another tow truck thats costed me as well...smh....cowards, scammers, greedy...whatever you want to call it, these people are that! Please do yourself a favor a and take your precious money elsewhere...do not support or encourage this bad business, make them pay by praying and hoping that one day they realize the consumer is the business. I will be contacting the local media regarding the bad business at this place.

Took my Nissan Murano to Ben to have my CV boot/axel repaired as I thought is was busted. However, turned out to be my motor mounts (a little more expensive). My dealership had quoted me $1,400 just for two. Knew I could get a better price at a local shop. Ben quoted me $940. I called a good friend of mine who knows about cars and told him the situation. He said thats probably about right. Ben fixed it the same day and his customer service was excellant. I recomend this auto shop for all repairs and will be back.

Bens is the place to go! If you want someone to fix your car or truck and fix it right go there. Ben always does his customers right and his worst is his bond. I have been dealing with Ben for 25 years and wouldnt go anywhere else.
