When you move to a different area, its so difficult to find a good nail salon that you can trust. I think I found mine. Joanne is one of the best nail salons in town 👍 I always get gel manicure and pedicure, and they last at least 3 weeks.Young does my nails, and shes VERY meticulous and soooo sweet. ♡♡♡

They do amazing nail designs here. You bring anything to their table they will make it happen. Love this place!

Honestly was super disappointed with my experience with this salon. I come from a family that does nails and used to work at my moms salon so I know what to look for in a good pedicure. Ill provide a short summary of my experience and the full story below for anyone who wants to read more:Short Summary:-Refused to provide gel services and callus removal because of lack of time even though I made an appointment-Tech was rushing the entire time and did a terrible job shaping my nails and cleaning up my cuticles. She also kept checking the time when she was working-Tech used a dremel on my toenails and actually went too far and ended up nicking my cuticle-No menu was provided for the types of pedicure they offered. I wanted a full spa service that day to treat myself, but she just gave me their most basic pedicure-Towels were very stiff and coarse which didnt feel good when she was drying my legs-Im never coming backFull story:I made an appointment for a pedicure so they knew I was coming in (they didnt ask me what type of pedicure or anything. Just said okay and what time to come). I get there and ask for a gel pedi. The lady starts to look at her calendar and tells me that they do not do gel pedicures. And here I am thinking that shes lying because I read reviews before coming in and seen that people have gotten it before. Wanting to give them a chance, I said fine ill just do a regular polish. I get to the seat and she doesnt even offer me choices of pedicures or anything. Just goes straight into cutting my nails. Not only did she hit my cuticle with the dremel and cause it to bleed, she also did a horrible job cleaning up my cuticles. At this point I was kind of upset and told her I didnt want to get my polish done anymore and then asked if I could just get a callus removal and be done. She then looks at the clock and stares at it and I flat out then ask her if she has no time for it either. She really said No sorry. At this point im just super fed up with my experience and decide to just end the session and leave. I really tried giving them a chance because there were so many great reviews, but it was apparent to me that they didnt want my presence around. I drove to another nail salon after and got the services I needed done there.

I love Joanne’s Nail Design! They are very detailed and neat in what they do. I have done my nails and pedicure with Joanne and Amber, they very professional. I Highly recommend this place.

Came here for a full set and my nails have never looked better. The salon is clean and inviting and I was able to be seen immediately.

Very upset. I been getting my nails done for 2 years here. Every time I call for an appointment, they are booked.I just called to make an appointment to cut/file shorts my nails. A year ago, I would have given this place 5 stars. In fact, I might have. Fast forward a year and its just not that great anymore. When we first started here 2+ years ago, there were many employees. Enough that they could take take walk-ins. For a year now, however, theyve only had 3 employees (including the owner) & rarely take walk-ins on the weekends. Weve always made appointments but thats getting impossible anymore. Even two weeks out they cannot accommodate the two of us. And this is easily the 4th time thats happened. We are now looking for another regular salon. One thing: Amber is awesome!

I walked in without an appointment (which I understand I may not get service). However, they only had one client. Employee (or owner, not sure) didnt even greet me when I walked in. She just stared at me. I explained I didnt have an appointment and she looked the other way, checked something I guess and then told me that sorry, they couldnt, bye. Place was completely empty. Only one and one employee. Not very welcoming either.

This is my new go to salon. The nail techs are up to date with new trends, and the manicures last a very long time. It is a little pricier then most but it is definitely worth the cost !

Ive been here a two times.Due to my occupation, I cannot get my nails done frequently.But when I have vacations coming up I get it done.I came here once last year and Judy did a excellent job on my nails.The gel polish stayed on for over 3 months. But sadly Judy was not there anymore.Recently, when I visited, I got deep French gel nails by Amber she did a very nice job. She did not talk much but she was friendly. I asked her can you do this like this and she was like yes of course.Amber asked me if I wanted the French to be thicker and asked if it was okay. Which I liked because I wanted it to look pretty.I also kept asking her questions about like glass nails and she answered everything really nicely. It has been a month now and my gel nails have not chipped.But now my problem is.I went with one of my friend to get our nails done together at the same.My friend got her nails done by Joanne. (Im guessing she is the owner)Joanne was keep telling my friend to relax your hand, stop putting so much tension/power in your hand, its difficult for me when you do that. you have to have a good posture blah blah Which was really annoying for me to hear, since I was right next to my friend, because she didnt go there to get nagged at. And Joanne kept telling her relax your hand stop putting so much power.I mean LADY! She is a customer. You have to make her comfortable while she is getting her nails done. COME ON.(this was all in Korean)Oh and one nice thing she said to my friend was that she has pretty nails and friends.Also, my friend did not know that the the led light turns off and you have to tap your hand for it to turn on. SO she didnt do it. So I guess my friends nails didnt dry completely for the next coat. andJoanne : was like you have to tap it so it dries completely, it didnt dry well (sighing)andmy friend : was like, Its okay dont worry about it since it was my fault.andJoanne : was like (sighing again) I cant redo it for you because If I have to redo this nail I have to take everything off.(VERY RUDE tone).My friend said it was okay and it was her fault. I do not understand why Joanne had to say it like that.After getting our nails done we went to get coffee and we were like should we write a review our not? because they are good at nails, butJoanne is extremely rude. And after thinking about it, we were really annoyed.They are really skilled at doing nails. At first I was extremely happy about my nails, they looked wonderful. However, not only was I charged $130 without being provided a copy of what exactly I was paying for, two of my nail’s paint have already chipped off. Which has left me horribly upset given it hasn’t even been over a week since getting them done.

Terrible place. I had been going there for a year and now it has been 2 months that I have been trying to make an appointment and they keep hanging up the phone. No respect for clients, they do not even care to ask how you are doing. You always feel like they are rushing to do your nails.

Went to do my mani and pedi. Got charged 67$. Amber told me my gel Manicure was 35$ so I’m assuming the rest was for my basic pedi. She didn’t give me a receipt with the details. I find it overly priced for a basic pedi. Amber was friendly but not very talkative. I asked her a few questions and I wasn’t sure if she wasn’t answering because she wasn’t listening or because she didn’t understand. I’m not sure is she speaks the language well. I originally asked for a deep powder mani and she said they didn’t do it. And because she didn’t give much eye contact I didn’t ask anything else. I didn’t walk out of that place bc I really needed to get my nails done and I was short on time. Not a very friendly place. I give them a 2 stars bc Amber did a good job with my mani. I liked the work she didn’t on my hands but I wouldn’t go back there. I’m honestly wondering what makes some of these reviews be a 5 stars.

I ended up here because my usual salon is closed on Sundays and I needed a pedicure desperately. The inside of the place is beautiful, I can absolutely say that. But the regular pedicure was overpriced and rushed.

I got a gel manicure done 5 weeks ago (exactly) and today Im going to get another. The color and pattern lasted that long! I have one tiny chip and obviously my nails have grown slightly but I still get compliments on them. I wanted to get my nails done after I got engaged and I did my research to find a salon that could do designs. I also had a couple of nails that broke so they gave me extensions so theyd all look the same. Im very rough on my nails and gel never lasts longer than 2 weeks so I definitely got my moneys worth. I drove out of my way to get to joannes even though theres a salon that is 400 ft from my house Ill be going to joannes for my gel manis from now on. With 2 extensions and polish it was just over $50 but it lasted 5 weeks so I am happy.

I went to this salon on 3/15/18 specifically to get a particular nail design done that my regular shop doesnt do.( I researched on google salons near my home and saw that they did very similar designs) I walked in and was greeted by a technician who asked me to have a seat and she would be with momentarily. A few moments later she asks me for my name. I told her, and she proceeded to look through the calendar. I told her I didnt have an appointment and I was interested in getting a fill and proceeded to show her a picture of what I wanted. She went to check with a co worker and then she asked me to have a seat in a chair at a station.We began some small talk ie how long have you been open..etc( because as a long time resident sometimes you miss on new business, because youre so use to what you known you forget that areas progress and update!). She proceeded to ask me about my nails. I told her that it was a gel powder. She then asked me if it was my natural nail. I told her no (I needed a fill! You could definitely tell they werent mine) She then proceeds to tell me that they dont do acrylic. I said ok thats fine so then what do you? do you do Gel? Technician says yes, but its more expensive I said ok, thats fine She said it is $65 I said ok... money is not a problem She goes are you sure at that point I was done. Continuing to push the cost of the service after I told you its fine is really rude, suspect and discriminatory and as a result I left. No need for outburst or conversation. They showed me enough. Based on that its easy for me to conclude that the customer service at this place is really piss poor. You have no idea what is in my pocket to continue to push the issue of money, especially after I told you IT WAS FINE.To be fair, I wrote specifically to the business on facebook messenger and someone replied back. The response was sarcastic and wasnt very apologetic. Explaining to me that she is new doesnt excuse her behavior. So I say this to say that although this may not be a common occurrence at this salon. It happened to me and people should be aware that there is potential of this happening to you.

There is only ONE person who knows how to do the uv gel sculpture nails in the entire salon (or maybe she was lying to me). Its harder to book an appointment wanting that service done since shes the only person who has the ability to do it and is most likely always booked up since the uv gel nails are most popular now.Dont let these other 5 star reviews fool you. This establishment shouldnt advertise a particular service on their price list when only ONE person knows how to do them. Ellada nail studio in Reston only starts off charging $70 for uv gel sculpture nails (which is $10 cheaper) and their establishment has a full staff who knows how to do them.

Wasted 30 minutes in traffic to arrive and get turned away. While all nail techs had clients, I said I would Wait... I was Told they would not be available to do my nails and it’s barely 5:30pm so they will be open for another 2 hours, I guess I didnt have the look they desire.

Maniaure was mediocre. The technician barely took any of my cuticles off. Totally disappointed and was hoping to love this place based on reviews. Overpriced, overhyped, and totally felt rushed.

Scheduled an appointment for a full set with amber. I got to the salon and the owner told me that amber could not do a full set, she isn’t trained to do that. Apparently the owner is the only technician that can do a full set. I drove all the way from Arlington. Really unprofessional.
