So happy to get service from Susan (hair color) and Nina (hair cut). Both have done extremely good work and did exactly how I wanted it. My hair is till waist level and even though it was exhausting for them to work on it, they didn’t compromise. Would definitely recommend this place and ask for these two ladies.

She is a talented professional and has a super kind disposition. Under the current Phase 3 quarantine I saw 4 hair salon seats open to clients. Everyone is practicing social guidelines for safety. Masks are mandatory to get into the salon. Give them a call and see whether they have an appointment for you.

I just got a 60-minute custom massage with Margarita and I have to say I was blown away! I feel relaxed and rejuvenated. She is so professional and really takes the time to understand your needs. I will definitely be returning to her.

Stella did my microdermabrasion facial and Brazilian. She always makes the latter a nearly painless process! My face looks like I’m wearing foundation; super clear❤️ For what it’s worth, I have normally good skin but she made it look so much better.

Took my wife here to get her hair done. Nothing of what she initially wanted to get done was done. My wifes hair looks horrible. The service was terrible. My wife said when they shampooed her hair the lady that did it was extra rough with hair. Not once did she asked if the temperature was ok. No attempt to make my wife feel comfortable. Zero communication. The whole time my wife was there, the lady that did her hair barely even spoke to her. All and all I will never visit this business. Dont bring your money here.

The BEST salon I have ever been to in my life. The owner, Nordine, makes a point to personally greet me each time I go. Marina is my hair stylist and she specializes in blonde hair. She does the BEST job, plus she’s personable and super sweet. I love my hair and I love my experience each time I go there. Plus, the shampooers put in so much effort to give you the best experience all the way down to a full head massage. Love this place and love these people. 10 out of 10 recommend!

I love Salon Nordine and the amazingly talented Marina! As an extremely particular person when it comes to my hair, I completely put my trust in Marina and her exceptional hands. She is very considerate and always remembers exactly how I like to have my bangs cut: straight, without shaping, and under my eyebrows, please! I have very long hair and Marina keeps it healthy with periodic trims that are ALWAYS straight! I have been going to her soley for the last 4 years and highly recommend her. I have been going to the same hair dresser for many years because I dont trust many people with my hair but she got too expensive so I had to find somewhere else. I went to Nordine Salon for a partial highlight, cut and blowdry and my hair looks AMAZING. I highly recommend Fa! I was so worried before going but after I was done I was so happy with the result!! SUPER affordable too, I might add (especially for Northern VA)!

Beautiful, serene decor, yet not lacking in energy. The receptionist is attentive and efficient. I have seen only Julia to have my hair cut (perfectly every time) so I cant speak to the other stylists. And a hair wash by Sue is as relaxing as any massage. Only wish I had found this place sooner!

Eric Sabine is masterful with hair! I have been going to him for many years. He highlights, cuts and styles my hair to perfection . (And if he does the shampoo I never want it to be over.) Eric is always cheerful, a good listener, and truly gifted working with hair.

Alicia is amazing! I have curly hair and have always struggled to find someone who knows how to cut curly hair. Ive been seeing Alicia for the last 2.5 years, and she always does an incredible job. Not only is she great with curly hair, but she really understands color and what works with your hair.

I have a business around the area and Im pretty close to the salon, I have visited the Merrifield location at least 4 times, Marcy has always been available and tries to accommodate me every time even if I just show up with out calling because I dont have a very flexible schedule. I brought my best friend who was visiting from New Jersey and also loved the service and the outcome. Will stay loyal to this place as long as Marcy stays there. Thanks guys. Front desk is somewhat friendly but not all the time. :)

I had a problem with a gift card I had received, but Nordine himself went over and beyond to reach out to me to sort it out. As for the facial, I would give that more than 5 stars. Naz was amazing!

Used the wrong wax on my lip and instead of just using a strip and pulling it off, she used rubbing alcohol all over my lip and smothered me in the process making me and he’ll all of the alcohol fumes. Then instead of using the hard wax like she said she was using to remove instead, she uses strip wax again and essentially pulled either side of my mouth. Then she proceeded to use more rubbing alcohol on my open cuts. And I have a date tonight. Awesome. Never go here.

I’ve had a facial, massage and now my hair done at Nordine Salon and each visit has been wonderful! I was seeing the same hair stylist for the past couple of years and when she moved closer to home I panicked. Panic no more because I found Marina and she is amazing! Best my hair has ever looked, healthiest my hair has ever looked and I’m platinum blonde! She’s super personable, you feel right at home and she takes care of you the way she would want to be taken care of. Totally recommend!

In response to the owners response to Jessicas complaint- no, actually, you dont list general prices for anything related to hair services. A list of hair services offered and a range of prices for each service would be helpful for new customers trying to get a feel for what they can afford at your salon. Calling to get a general estimate is not unreasonable.

Great staff

Went in for root touch up with Eric, to stay with dark blonde with copper tones. Ended up with dark brown almost black hair. Salon acknowledged the mistake but still tried to charge me for the conditioning treatment that had to be washed out immediately in failed attempt to fix the color and the highlights to try to fix it.

Federico did an excellent job with my hair! It is always a pleasure to have time to relax, have a good conversation with Fede, and renew my look. I definitely recommend Federico if you are up for a great experience!

The staff there was very friendly. However, when I went to get my bangs cut, the lady who cut them kept cutting them shorter and shorter when I said I wanted long bangs and left hair all over my face then left. She even charged me $100+ saying it was more expensive cause it was my first time cutting bangs.

I am so happy with my hair by Fabiola! She was so amazing and knew exactly what I wanted. It’s been a very very long time since I loved my hair and thanks to her I’m lovingly it again. She did an amazing job although my hair has been through a lot of bad experiences with stylists and different colors, she corrected it perfectly! She did a full head of highlights and took great care with each stroke of hair and did an amazing job of fixing my multicolored blonde/orange hair. The color couldn’t be more on point and is sooooo soft. Right on point.💓

I had a wonderful time at Salon Nordine a couple months ago, and have been pretty busy since, but I finally have chance to share what a great experience it was. I had a facial with Quy, who was very friendly, experienced, and wise! It was a truly refreshing and relaxing experience, and I had compliments for many weeks after on how refreshed, bright, and younger my face looked! I will be returning for more!

I got the nail service and it was nice. They even give you accompaniments as you wait. The ladies were really friendly. I’ll definitely be going back for a full body massage.

I recently moved to the area and was referred to Salon Nordine. I am pretty particular about my hair, and chose a stylist to go to. It took forever (my hair typically does) and I felt rushed. When I called to book my appointment I specifically told them that I had long, curly hair and that it was my first time at the salon. The stylist I went to didnt really care to get to know me, she was just worried about getting through the appointment. The stylist I went to was more concerned about the client that was after me than what she was doing on my hair. She didnt even style me, just kind-of blow-dried me and that was it. I paid for a cut, color, and a style. The color turned out fine, but my cut is very choppy and Im not impressed. I was hopeful with this salon, but I wont be back for the price I paid and service I received. Ill find a different salon to be my salon in the NOVA area.

I scheduled a massage with JB. He called out the day of my massage. They called me a few hours before to ask me to reschedule, or if I would see Kandy for a massage. I needed one really bad so I took a chance. It was for 90 min. She wouldnt stop talking. She was sucking on candy, and burped during my massage. The last 30 min of the massage was on the top of my head because I think she got tired. Definitely wont be back.

I had to wait 25 minutes after my appointment time to be seen, and even then, my stylist was largely distracted by a second client whose hair she was coloring.I told the stylist to be mindful to clean up the hair around my ears. When I got home and looked in the mirror, the hair there was uneven and overlapping my ears.The haircut was relatively expensive ($45), especially when you take tips into account.I went back the next day to have her clean up the hair around my ears and I had to wait 15 minutes to be seen for 5 minutes of work. Both sides still arent even.

I took my mom here on her birthday last week. She loved the place. She’s not really into spas and massages, so she didn’t look to excited when we pulled over at this place, but when she came out of the massage room, she had never looked happier.

I have been coming to Salon Nordine religiously for the past 3 years for hair color and cuts with Marina. (I come at least once a month to get my roots touched up because I have horrible grays). The front desk staff, especially Laila, are so sweet and accommodating. Marina is incredible at her job and always makes my hair look better than I could even imagine at each and every appointment. In addition, after becoming pregnant, the salon has been able to meet my changing needs with the use of Inoa which is less harsh than what I typically use. I have always been extremely pleased with the services rendered here. I moved about 45 minutes away 6 months ago and continue to come back here for appointments.

I have had the same stylist for 12 years however Saturday I had a wedding to attend and wanted just my roots touched up last minute. I decided to try Salon Nordine at Mosaic because they had an early morning opening and I also had a gift certificate to use. Over the years, trying new stylists has never turned out in my favor and this was not the exception. The receptionist was able to get me an appointment for Saturday morning and I called on Thursday evening. That should have been a red flag; there were only 2 of us there Sat morning and I didnt find the receptionist very friendly at all. Since my appointment was with Marina I read all her reviews online and thought there would be no risk. Ugh. Just ugh. I have naturally brown hair but have maintained blonde hair for the past 12 years. I religiously go every 4 weeks to have my roots touched up. First off - she made my roots medium/dark brown!!! I left with more roots than I arrived there with. I knew it right after it was washed. Seriously brown and she said she matched it. To what? Huh? She wasnt listening to me when I said it was too dark so I said no more. Secondly - hair only grows a half an inch per month and my touch ups usually are less than ¾ inch of the hair root but I left with roots almost 2 inches long. The icing on the cake was the next day when I put my hair in a ponytail and from the front I looked brunette and from the back blonde. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt but on Sunday my friend actually asked me what on earth happened to my hair, then I knew I was not being unreasonable. With tip this cost $160 and on Tuesday I had to have my hair fixed which cost $190. I am just so so so upset that a simple roots color touch up cost me $350 in total and my hair is still not completely fixed. It will take months to get all of this dark color out. Perhaps she may be good for complete hair makeovers (hence the good reviews) but does not have a keen eye to color match for touching up highlights and matching color for roots, etc.

I have been here twice now for massages, facials, and mani/pedis. They run great special packages and everyone there is very friendly and accommodating. They all genuinely care about you’re comfort and relaxation and I have never had an unpleasant experience.

I love the work of Quy! She is a master artist for eyebrows and knows the right facial so you leave with fresh and glowing skin!

I have been a client of Le (nail tech) and Quey (esthetician) for many years, and now at Salon Nordine. Both ladies are consummate professionals, can highly recommend.

I didnt even get a chance to make an appointment. I asked for an appointment was put on hold like 3 times to be told they did not have one. Then, one magically opened up so finally when we decided on a time and date, I asked for the name and some background on the stylist - didnt have much to say. I tried to ask about pricing and could not get a clear picture. First the price for color and blowdry was $120 but the specific stylist I was getting was going to be more, never got how much more. I also asked if the price covered roots or all over color. Never got the answer and then got hung up on.Is there such a thing as ZERO stars. I am sad because I live in the area and thought this would be a great place to go.

I just had my eyebrows microbladed with Jaime - she is amazing! Im so much happier with my experience at Nordine Salon & Spa than I was with a super trendy microblading-only studio in DC.

I went here as a birthday present to myself, a fancy salon to look my best! I showed the girl a very clear picture on my phone, a simple layered cut to my shoulders with some light brown color mixed in, I even kept that picture on my phone the whole time in my lap for her to reference....2.5 hours and almost $300 later I get a bob at my chin with my hair having bleached highlights, it was terrible. I was so upset leaving that salon! I went to work and complained and since then I have had three other co-workers have the same, terrible experience there! If you are going in with a cut and color in mind DO NOT go here, I guess the staff likes to give you what they want and not what you ask for..then charge you for triple.Only giving one star because its mandatory to proceed.

My daughter loved her Ouidad haircut with Ani. It was a big decision and change for her to cut her hair, but Ani made the experience so easy and a fun memory for her. The salon is just beautiful. The parking garage exit to street was a little confusing which level to get out of elevator.

Love this salon. i go here for hair, pedis, eyebrow waxing, facials, and massages. everyone is top notch, they have cookies and coffee/wine and fresh fruit available, their shampooers are amazing, everyone is happy to be there, and the owner is very involved and onsite. Hes awesome and i appreciate that he treats his people well and even does a big annual party for the staff every year. It feels like they are a family, but the spa environment is posh. i also love that the massage area is back by itself where its quiet, not right next to the mani/pedi stations or the haircut areas like some salons.

Worst salon experience for me. Told the hair stylist I wanted a medium neutral brown. Ended of with black hair that looks like drugstore box dye. When I told her it was black not brown she started screaming that it was the best dye job I had ever had and it wasnt black. She continued berating me about it the entire time I was paying at the reception area. I understand color mistakes can happen but if a stylist makes such an obvious error, the way to fix it is not by claiming it didnt happen and screaming at your customer. Definitely will not be returning to the merrifield salon nordine.

I love salon nordine. I have been to mosaic district in Vienna and their reston station location. Today Soukayna did the most amazing job with blonde bayalge and colored my roots a beautiful brown. She also cut my hair. She is amazing, sweet, kind and completed my hair in a timely manner. The customer service was impeccable. I am truly amazed at what a beautiful job she did. I highly recommend seeing her. Also Marcy does amazing work as well. The owner is friendly too as well as the receptionist. Today however I am extremely pleased with @hairbysouki. I will never go to anyone else.

Hi, I would liked to explain a little background to this review. I originally went to the Reston location to have a color and cut done. It was by far the worst experience, however I emailed the salon about it and I was shocked at the response I got.Nordine, the owner himself called me, wanted to hear from me what happened and personally scheduled my appointment at the location in Merrifield. Everyone was beyond nice, Nordine greeted me and they got to work. Before I was done Nordine said to let him know how everything went when it was done.After about 2-ish hours I had a beautiful cut with one of the best coloring jobs I have ever gotten.In the end I truly appreciated Nordine bringing me in, apologizing wholeheartedly and showing me what Salon Nordine can truly do.Thank you and I will be a repeat customer at this location!

It was easy to get an appointment, the staff are very friendly and accommodating, and the services are top notch!

Let me start by saying that this salon has never steered me wrong, and Ill explain why. My hair is naturally curly (2b/2c pattern), thick, and requires a fair amount of finesse to handle it properly (especially since I wear it curly 98% of the time). Id been on the hunt for finding someone who actually KNEW how to cut curly hair, especially since all of the other salons Id gone to in the area provided very mixed results (too expensive, mediocre cut, poor service, etc). Then, I found ZiZi at Nordine Salon in Fairfax.As an aside, I had gone to ZiZi about a year and a half/two years ago for her to help fix a bad haircut I had received, and she did an amazing job. I didnt think much of it at the time because Id had such mixed results with everyone else, and I ashamedly forgotten the great service as I let my hair grow out in the coming months. In the mean time, Id gotten my hair cut twice more by two different stylists, both poorly done. Id resorted to heat styling my hair for nearly a year, which obviously ruined my hair even further. It was somewhat heartbreaking as my curly hair was somewhat of a signature for me, and the damage Id done was disappointing.Fast forward to a couple weeks ago where I was once again sitting in ZiZis chair after having a come to Jesus moment about how well she cut my hair before. She immediately identified how dry my hair felt, recommended a conditioning treatment (a little expensive, but worth it) and tweaked my haircut so that I could grow it out with far less difficulty. I never felt that she was offering up the conditioning treatment to up the cost of the appointment, it genuinely felt like she cared about the health of my hair.Now, after managing with my hair the past few weeks, it seems well on its way to being the glorious mane it once was. Im planning on following up with a couple more conditioning treatments to really help my hair heal, and I absolutely owe ZiZi a huge thank you for that. She saved my hair, and it was worth every penny.Long story short, ZiZi is phenomenal with curly hair, and the salon is absolutely worth the services they provide. Looks like Ill be a customer for a very long time to come.
