I took my 2018, GMC Sierra1500 pickup for a front end suspension level, new brakes and tires. They were prompt, professional and very reasonable with the pricing. I’m very happy with how the truck turned out and will go back for future work.

They are very affordable, quick, and actually care. I’ve taken my vehicle to several shops and each time they just made me aware of a leak. BOB Auto actually took the time to investigate the source of the leaks, tell me what’s leaking and where, and gave me an estimate for the work that needs to be done.

The work is always done when they say it will be. They have four bays, maybe five, and they even do four wheel alignment, as well as front end only.

This shop takes good care of all my personal and business cars. Good and fast service. I highly recommend.

I took my Honda into the dealership and walked away with an estimate of $8,996.79. Honda dealership said it was a transmission along with airbag control unit, spark plugs and some other maintenance that needed to be done. Since I dont know much about cars wasnt sure what to do. I got online and started searching for local repair shops with best ratings. I found BOB Auto Repair, and took my car to have them check it out. Within minutes not only did they figure out the transmission was fine, but they figured out the real issue. It ended up being a VTEC pressure switch which ended up costing $725 total. Less than 10% of the cost Honda quoted me. Its hard to find a shop that you can trust, but I can say without a doubt that BOB Auto Repair guys are trustworthy!Thank you for everything you have done for me and for doing business the right way! I have been going to this place since 2009. I have never had a problem and never found anything but friendliness. The service is fast, usually the same day, the prices are reasonable.I have noticed that most of the reviews are positive, but the computer has flagged them and hidden them, even though they are obviously not a spam.I have always had a really wonderful experience at BOBs. Truelly the best automotive repair shop in the area.

I have been taking our cars to Bobs for 6 years. I have always been happy with their service and prices. They have a great work ethic and are prompt with their estimates. We have had muffler replacements, brake work, tire rotations and alignments. I have also had them get us tuned up for state testing. They are quick and polite. Best place I have been to in the Downers Grove area by far.

Since I know nothing about cars, I am always nervous about inspection time each year. After literally bleeding money to Lexus for years, I decided it’s time to find a new mechanic. My friends recommended BOB Auto Repair. They had really great reviews from many of my friends, so I decided to stop by.Upon arriving to BOB’s, I immediately felt like my car would be in good hands. The staff was welcoming and courteous. They took my car in the same afternoon and said it would be ready the next day. The following day, I received a call stating my car pass the inspection and was ready for pick up. Since my car has over 100k miles, they recommended services for upcoming visits and provided me with quotes. However, they did not pressure me into any unnecessary services or repairs, as had been my experience at Lexus.The staff at BOB’s is professional and honest. I highly recommend the team at BOBs and I will absolutely return for future work on my car.

Damaged every single wheel when dismounting tires. Over torqued the wheel bolts to the point where few snapped when trying to unbolt again. If you are not capable of completing such simple tasks, dont offer such services.

My seat belt locked. The part has been on backorder from G.M. for months. I took to BOB. They said they would try to fix but even if they could not fix I would be responsible for 65.00 in labor costs. I agreed to this thinking they would try to fix other than just trying to jiggle it like any 6 year old could easily do. I knew in advance they might not fix it, but to be told afterwards that they can not try to fix it because it is a safety issue is outrageous. To make matters worst they agreed in advance to reinstall it if it could not be fixed but after removing it they were unable to reinstall it, whiche is something I should have been told in advance. I had previously been to this shop and had brake work done without problems. I had also asked to have brakes checked and for an estimate on struts and shocks which I know are needed. They refused to put car up on lift like any normal American shop does. Instead Dave just pounces on all 4 sides and tells me its fine. Sorry Dave auto mechanics in America just doesnt work this way as we are not in the third world.
