They are so nice and knowledgable here! Front office staff is great. They always explain the service well and do what they can to make it as cost effective as possible. I always come here for oil changes, and would bring my car here for other things as needed.

I made an appointment to have them check car with their diagnostic tool. They called me 3 hours later and said that they did not do that they just looked at the service requested light on dash and said it was a tire problem. And then I said I can see that but the car is dying out while Im driving. The call back 30 minutes later and say theres nothing wrong with it and its not dying out when we drove it. I don’t believe they hooked it up but I will try to prove that after I take it somewhere else. I believe they treated me like somebody they did not know what they were talking about. It was insulting for them to just look at Dash and the warning light and tell me thats the only problem without hooking it up to the diagnostic tool.

I called to make an appointment for service on my car (oil change and tire rotation) to the Midas location on 1660 75th St, Downers Grove, IL 60517. I did inform the person i spoke with that i need to stay there while the car is being serviced, and could not leave. He told me the next day in the morning they would be able to take me in and i could wait in the lobby area and it would take about 30-45 minutes. I agreed and scheduled the appointment for 9:30am.I arrived there the next morning and all 3 workers were sitting in the chairs behind the desk and nobody greeted me until i said good morning (after a 10 second akward silence). i told them i am here for my 9:30 appointment to have the oil change and tire rotation. One of the techs asked if i was dropping the car off, and i told him no. I had made the appointment after speaking with them the day before and i needed to stay there. I asked if they could still finish the car within the time frame that i was told (30-45 minutes). The tech looks at the other techs and then in a very unprofessional manner says to me that he is not sure who told me that info, but it would take at least a few hours and that i could either wait there or drop the car off. There was no apology of any kind and the manner of their communication was as if i was an inconvenience to them. I know this is not typical experience as i normally visit the Midas on Roosevelt road in Lombard IL, (near my house). But i felt this was necessary to report as i am sure that other costumers are getting treated poorly by the staff at this location.I simply told the techs that i would have to come back another day, but that was just to be polite as i will never return to this location again for any services.

Ive been coming here for a few years. Steve has always gone above and beyond. And hes the reason Ive kept coming back. However, it turns out when hes gone, the place seems to fall apart.I brought in my car for two reasons, an oil change and I needed a code for my check engine light. I called the day before to make sure they would be able to check out my check engine light. I was told, not a problem.I bring in the car and explain all the problems Ive been having with the check engine light and what I think the problem might be. A few hours later I come to pick up the car and when I ask about the check engine light Im told there wasnt time. when I questioned this I was then given a different story. Its a hundred dollars. When I asked why I wasnt told about this when I dropped the car off, I was given a blank look. After I paid and had the audacity to ask for the keys to my car I was told it was in the vehicle. I didnt believe that for one second so I asked for him so go find my keys. He finally found it, with another customers paper work and keys.BEYOND disappointed as this gentleman CLEARLY listened to nothing I said and then stupidly tried to cover his piss-poor customer service.

Great service all around from the front desk, to the lifts. They always check with you prior to doing a fix. Huge shout out to Dan. Hes passionate about what he does, and hes always clear on the diagnosis. He is an honest mechanic that Id happily request every time I go into this location. Although my fixes are typically major when I need to bring my vehicles into a shop to be looked at, I find that I never have sticker shock when being told my bill cost. The pricing is fair and they break it down before diving into the project.

We had a flat tyre, and the wheel was jammed to the car. We drove over to the shop, and they quickly replaced the tyre with our spare tyre. The mechanic also gave good inputs on car maintenance. The $20 labor cost was reasonable given the good service.

This location is absolutely Awesome!! Loved that Steve and his team where so helpful and nice. Oil chance= In and out in under 15 min and the price was 40 bucks cheaper than where I was going!! The worst service ever! They were very unprofessional and tried to rip me off. Becareful, make sure you look at your receipts and ask for the pricing ahead of time! I came here because of a promotion they were having which my daughter had told me about. The promo was an 18.99 oil change. One sales associate told me one price and the other told me another. They could get their numbers straight for some reason. Neither of those prices were what my daughter paid which was cheaper than what they were telling me. I showed them her receipt which was from the countryside location. The response was that they were the same company but had a different owner. How did they go from 18.99 to 27.99? Makes no sense. My daughter paid 24 dollars. I know it’s a few bucks extra than what my daughter paid, but at this point its not even about the money. It’s the principle of the matter! This was my first and last time here.!!! Thanks for nothing Mark!

My girlfriend was stranded a couple nights ago on the side of the road because she ended up with a flat tire. When she called me I was still at work and was just about to leave, but she then told me that a lady was driving by and was going to help her. They conversed and she found out that her name was Jen and she worked at Midas which wasnt too far down the road from where she was at. Jen was amazing and made my girlfriend feel very comfortable and relaxed. She helped change her tire for her and I will be bringing my car and business to this location when needed because a stranger went out of her way to help. Thank you Jen for be a amazing person!!!!

Honest about service and fair about price. I cant ask for more. Dropped off my car overnight and received a call next day @ 1p approx. from Mark telling me the issues that needed to be resolved (air filter, oil change, and power steering flush) and how much it would be. Got a call within a few hours that the work was done.

I needed a breaklight fixed. Steve there told me there was a wait and suggested I bring my car back later that day to avoid waiting more than an hour. I brought it back and the job was done in 30 minutes. They were friendly and helpful, and got the job done

Save your time and money, do online research for part prices and you will understanding how much you overpay at MIDAS. On some parts up to ×8 times and they will sell same quality part.

I cant say enough about Steve and all of the staff at Midas in Downers Grove. Fortunately I have not had a lot of car repairs in my past which made me a bit of a rookie at the whole experience. I had called around for a problem I was having and upon calling Midas for a third opinion I was surprised to hear that the problem couldnt possibly be diagnosed over the phone, let alone quoted. From that moment I knew that the team at DG Midas were going to give me an honest diagnosis and quote. I definitely will be a returning customer.

Dropped my car off Friday afternoon to have it checked out for a transmission flush. No communication that pm at all. Received a call in the morning around 8am that was not particularly informative or helpful.I mean I get it, my beat up 2007 Ford EscapeWe know what a universal pos they are known to be. But I had the direct impression from my conversation with Steve that servicing my vehicle was neither worth their time or my money. A more informative conversation or at least a documentation of the services they expect would be needed would have lent some professionalism to the whole exchange.Came here per a recommendation. Will not return and admonish further patronage from those who did recommend them to me.

If you need uber inspection dont go. If you will pass still they will put some note ir doesnt matter u have 2019 car or not but they will find something what has nothing to do with uber inspection. But because of that note uber is not gonna accept.

Great prices and very quick if you need something done fast like an oil change. They are very professional about things as well and Ive compared process for repairs with a family friend who owns a shop, even she says theyre prices are really good.

Been here a couple times for an oil change. I had them do an alignment and they: did not check tire pressure, over filled the engine with oil, and the lower engine cover somehow got damaged. So, tire pressure was 28 psi on one side and 38 psi on the other which caused the car to pull to one side. When I turned the steering wheel to either side most of the way there was a scraping sound. I fixed these problems myself. They also recommend installing new front struts for $1300, not cheap. Actually ridiculously high price. Sloppy work, questionable pricing. I will not be back and suggest you find a better more honest place.

I have been going to Midas on 75th Street for over 20 years and have never been disappointed in their excellent service. They are able to find and repair the most difficult and unusual problems. They have always been fair and reasonable in their pricing for the work being performed.

Very trustworthy guys with quality work, excellent communication and a fair price. RECOMMENDED!

They are pretty darn bad. After they did NOT fix my car, I brought it back to let them resolve the situation and, they said nothing was wrong. I brought it to the dealer, who tightened up a loose connection for nearly nothing. Plus, one of the guys at the front desk is not suited for customer service. He was regularly argumentative or combative on the phone.
