I just finished my 6 week challenge and I have so much to say!! This place is incredible. To say I don’t have an athletic bone in my body is an understatement. I am not the best at anything physical, but even within 6 weeks I feel so much stronger, agile, and fit. They really make you feel like you can do anything here. (The secret is you truly can do anything) I went from 188lbs to 165.6lbs and I have so much confidence back. I have been sleeping better, my mood has been better, and I am so proud of myself for completing this. If I can do it anyone can, and everyone here makes it 100% possible. The staff care so much about you too! You come in and they treat you like an old friend they’ve known for years. I am always so excited to come in and get a good workout in. I just completed my 6-week challenge. Elite Edge Transformation Center South Des Moines is a great place to jump start your exercise routine. Lauren is amazing. She is truly there to help people be the best version of themselves. She was able to adjust some exercises to meet my limitations, which really helped me to keep moving and to get stronger each week. The workouts are varied enough to keep it interesting and the atmosphere is fun and upbeat. The hour passes very quickly. I would recommend checking it out. Find a challenge that meets your lifestyle and see how amazed you can be by the things you CAN do.
I took Elite Edge’s 6-Week Challenge. I did it. I have always been active, but my fitness routine had lulled into leisurely walks around the block with my elderly dog and a few floor exercises. And, almost daily Happy Hours. I needed a good butt kicking! The Challenge was “simple:” follow the instructions and check-in on Facebook for accountability. Yikes! Each workout was tough and different than the day before. Thank you, Coach Lauren, for your patience and 1:1 instruction, for making sure each of us got the most out of every workout. Each day required discipline to stick to the plan and the eating schedule. Six weeks, 13 lbs., 7% body fat, and a new path forward – ALL WORTH IT!

I just completed the 6 week challenge and was successful in meeting the goal of 20 pound weight loss. I went from 181.5 lbs to 160.3 I feel very proud of myself! The coaches, Lauren, Trevor and Hannah were all very motivational and very helpful. Everyone you meet in the gym are very welcoming. At first I thought six weeks was a long time, but it went by so fast! I really liked all the different exercises and the different hours options. I highly recommends this program to anyone who is planning to change their eating habit and wanting to loose weight
Personally, I had a phenomenal experience here! The people, the workouts, and the diet are all very easy to do as long as you just push through and do it. Lauren is a powerhouse of motivation and is truly inspiring. She’s goes above and beyond what is expected. Hannah who coordinates everything is also great. She is very detailed when talking about the expectations of the program and not only that but she attends the class with you sometimes. Elite Edge overall is an amazing program and I would recommend it to anyone! Especially someone who needs that extra push and accountability partners!
I just completed the 6 week challenge and was successful in meeting the goal of a 20 pound weight loss. The coaches were all motivational and helpful with making sure I met my goals. The workouts varied and it did not feel like you were doing the same thing over and over. The toughest part for me was the nutrition plan but once I got it dialed in I had good results. I liked the numerous class options provided so there was never an excuse to miss a day of the program. I would highly recommend this program as a jump start to any fitness goals.
So I just finished my six week challenge today, ended up losing close to 25lbs in 6 weeks, so I’m pretty proud of my self, I have done the challenge twice already once in 2017 and then this year, so I have highly recommended the challenge to many family members and friends, some of them have already done it or are doing it right now! I would love to say that the gym and the coaches are AMAZING, they help you and guide you through all the workouts, so your able to meet your goal.. the elite edge gym south side is phenomenal
I started going to Elite Edge 6 weeks ago and at 54 years old had not worked out in 25 years. Lauren was my main instructor and enouraged me and help me do alternate workout moves till I became stronger and was able to do the do the routines each day perfectly. In week 4 I noticed my strength and flexibility increased to levels I had not seen in years. I went from waist size 36 to waist size 33 and moved up 3 notch holes on my belts. My arms got stronger and I firmed up my abs. I was able to go from XL in shirts back to larges. I went from being on blood ptessure medicine to reducing sDise by 75%. My cholesterol went from 215 to 132. I am off that now. Thanks to Lauren and Elite Edge I am completely transformed.
Im proud to say I just completed the 6 week challenge! I was always pretty big into fitness and sports in highschool and college but once I got a little older I started getting lazy and eating more and getting bad habits. Or I would go to the gym consistently but not fix my eating habits and just say I was dirty bulking as a excuse. I would always be stronger but cardiovascular wise I was very out of shape and did not feel healthy.The reason I chose to give elite edge a try is because the have a very good mix of lifting weights and cardio. Also I would say Im a pretty experienced in lifting but alot of times Trevor and Lauren would correct my form to make things easier and more efficient Theyre both very knowledgeable and help motivate everyone to be there best! Every time I go to class it feels like a family and everyone is very helpful. I recommend Elite edge to everyone!
I would highly recommend this place if your really motivated and dedicated to put all the work in along with the sacrifices you will have to endure. They give you all the essentials tools to put you on a path for success and they will push you and motivate you to your best, also huge shout out to coach Lauren she really helps out a lot on pushing you and teaching you how to do the work outs the correct way. Elite edge really puts you on correct path for you to succeed. Day 1 - Confused, Intimidated, self-conscious.. and thinking maybe it wasnt for me. By the end of the week, I knew I was going to commit. Ive done other programs and the different workout routines every day make it hard to get bored. 6 weeks in.. major changes in the way I feel mentally and physically. Elite is my morning coffee now and Id recommend it to anyone looking to commit to a lifestyle change. If not for weight loss.. do it for mental health!
I used to never have any motivation to go workout or eat better before I did my 6 week challenge. I watched my mom be so happy with her results from her challenge so I was like why shouldn’t I give it a shot?I highly recommend doing this challenge or even just working out here because it changes you mentally and physically!! I started at 203lbs and dropped down to 180lbs in only SIX WEEKS! I also feel like the diet helped me the most with losing all of this weight. My first week I lost 7 pounds due to cutting out coffee!Working out here is never a dull moment either, the music is awesome, the workouts make you feel really good, and the trainers are absolutely amazing and push you to do your best! This is a super awesome place to workout and get healthier! You should check it out, you won’t regret it!!
My name is Josue, i just finished the 6 week challenge I loved everything about the challenge if you take it serious you lose the weight i was down my 20 pounds in 5 weeks, the coaching I received during the challenge was amazing as well, i had struggled with other diets and gyms but once coming to Elite all of that changed, The work outs were definitely tough but most definitely worth it working in a group setting with a couch there to help and push you made a big difference would recommend Elite to anyone i will never forget the great experience Thank you!
I had a great time pushing myself at this location. Hannah, Lauren, and Trevor are the absolute best. I did most of my classes in the morning with Lauren and she is a great coach who really cares about you and your goals, and works very hard at helping you push yourself. The coaches are very knowledgeable in helping you prepare your body for the challenges that it will go through while you are pushing yourself to achieve the results you want. The workouts have tons of variety to keep things from being boring or repetitive, and the pump up jams are top notch! Above all, this fitness center is a family. I would recommend this place to anyone in the DSM Metro and beyond!
The staff here are truly amazing! The environment is second to none! Music choice some days are spot on and others are very interesting but thats part of it to keep the spirits up and to keep you motivated. Once you get past the first week it gets easier dont let that get to you the plan works its just a matter of following it. theyre providing the tools necessary to make you successful so keep that in mind when you feel like youre not going to make it they will be right there to help you get through it and help you reach your goal.
I totally recommend Elite Edge Transformation Center.I just completed the six week challenge and I am so proud of what I have achieved during the challenge. Losing 20 pounds was and is a great feeling, and is just the beginning.I am so thankful with the coaches/trainers, as well as the great environment in the gym. Today was my last day after six weeks and I managed to lose my 20 pounds, this place has a motivating team I felt confident and happy they have the best schedules they give you very good information about food they give you many healthy tips I recommend this place because I could not say nothing negative, I was very happy to have been part of your team.
From all places I have attended before this is the best. Especially because our coach Lauren is amazing, it is clear that she does care about us and she helps up reaching our goal, she is also extremelyknowledgeable. She is dedicated and she is always happy to help with any questions. I am really happy that she takes the time to have us warm up prior the workouts and after we do stretching, that helps us to be 100% doing the workouts and prevent aches after. I completed back to back 6 week 20 pound challenges and saw great results! I let my fitness get out of control after graduating college and Elite Edge helped me get back into a routine and was the perfect challenge I was looking for! I was nervous I wouldn’t make the second challenge, but Lauren and Hannah helped push me in every way to ensure I made it! They even provided at home workouts for me when I had to travel across the country!! Everyone I encountered during the classes were so warm and welcoming and very supportive! The check-ins and changing your profile picture on Facebook almost stopped me from doing these challenges all together, but I am so glad I got over that and decided to give it a go! I am going to continue my time at Elite Edge as it is such a great workout where results are seen!! I am very excited to continue to see results and make lifestyle changes. I just finished the 6 week challenge with my husbandand we did it!! I did the 7%body fat and I accomplished my goal. The gym is very clean, the environment is very positive and not judgmental, but most of all very friendly. I started this challenge with no condition at all but trainers are the best, patience and understands the conditions of every person. Trevor, Lauren and Hannah make it fun and make sure you are on track. Follow your diet, no cheating, if you try your best and follow the instructions you are set up for sucess. If you are thinking about joing wheter that is for the 6 week challenge or the gym, Do it you wont regret it I end up the challenge and I can tell you my eating habits changed, my energy changed, my body changed and I havent feel like this in a very long time. When I had started at Elite Edge, I had gained so much weight during the pandemic I hated taking pictures. I felt some consequences of all the lack of movement and my leg muscles were slowly becoming weaker. I decided this year I wanted to slowly get back to my baseline and make the active choice to choose healthier living every day. I was able to do the 20 pound challenge and even from just the first week I felt the difference. I was slowly gaining more energy and with every sit up I felt my stomach shrinking. Now I feel so much more comfortable in my own skin. The support and the trainers really work with you to meet you goals, and I am so happy I had the opportunity to do this 20 pound challenge to kickstart a healthier year.
If you are thinking about joining or signing up for the six week challenge DO IT! I just completed my six week challenge, I had to lose 7% Body Fat and ended up losing 7.9%. When I signed up I didn’t think it was achievable but clearly it is. The workouts are amazing and never get boring, old or repetitive. Lauren was an awesome coach, she was always pushing me and motivating me to keep at it in the gym. She would also check in on a regular basis to make sure I was sticking with the diet and seeing results. I’m a picky eater and didn’t think I would be able to stick with the diet, but I was able to get creative and make it through the six weeks sticking to the FTDI diet. You will not regret this one but if you join.
I have been fairly active during my adult life. I have always enjoyed a good challenge and mixing things up. Over the years I’ve done 5ks, 10ks, half marathons, marathons, and triathlons. I’ve enjoyed Cross Fit, Orange Theory and similar programs over the years. Those programs bought good workouts but limited results. Turning 50 brought weight changes. Covid 19 brought the shut down and working from home steps away from my pantry. I was lethargic and could feel my clothes tightening as I worked from home. Something needed to happen. The Elite Edge Six Week Challenge would often appear in my social media feeds. I decided it was time to do something.I enrolled in the Six Week Challenge. My first day was July 13th. I followed the simple meal plan. I hit the gym Monday through Friday with an occasional Saturday. The workouts were great. Coach Lauren Springer would always mix it up. She was great to make sure the movements where done correctly to get the optimum results. The weekly Monday morning weigh ins would see a few pounds in the first weeks and then the weight started coming off. My carb intake was adjusted in the final weeks to see more results. At my final weigh in I was down 21 lbs at 154.5 lbs. A weight I had not seen since 2012. I highly recommend Elite Edge Six Week Challenge to jump start your healthy lifestyle and long-term maintenance. I’m looking forward to continuing on at Elite Edge and onto the Back to School Challenge!

Everything about it is just motivating and is inspiring. I am happy to say that I hit my 20lb goal with the help of all the coaches, staff, and family support . Although at time it wasn’t easy, it was still a goal that I was striving to reach. Now I signed up for a membership to knock some other goals down. I was a bit skeptical in regards to the challenge, too good to be true!. From day one, our coach made it clear, FTDI, (Follow the Damn Instructions) results will follow!. Lauren you were right, I FDTI, and lost 27lbs. I have a bad wrist and she work with me on modifying some of the exercises, so I can meet my goals. Thank you Elite Edge Transformation Center South Des Moines. I would recommend this gym to anyone whom is willing to FTDI. The coaches here are great. You follow the instructions result city!
I recommend Lauren as a trainer. If you do what you told with diet plan and exercise than there is no way you will not lose weight. I started at 248 and my last weigh in date was 12 weeks Im at 198 today. I have more energy today and better earing habits to continue. I no longer have to take insulin due to weight loss which is a blessing. This has changed my confidence and if it wasnt for Lauren to keep me pushing through the hard roads I dont know if I would be where Im at on my own. I highly recommend this gym and anyone that gives there all with succeed. Never give up and follow the plan and you can do just like I did. If you want it bad enough it will happen.
I decided to join the Elite Edge Gym after being under shutdown and packing on a bunch of weight. I started the six week challenge six weeks ago with great results losing over 22 pounds. Never thought that I would be able to loose all that weight in such little time. Following the meal plan and workouts really works! I love the structure and how each day is totally different. They give you a plan and if that doesnt work for you they will tweak it ad much as they have to to give you results. The workouts are so much fun. They show you exactly what every exercise will look like so youre never lost. And they always come around to offer support if you need pointers. I will forever recommend this place!!! My husband and I joined elite edge 6 weeks ago to complete the challenge. After pregnancy, winter, and quarantine I needed something that was going to give me a push to get motivated. Elite did just that! I am not only down 21 pounds already, but have noticed several changes in my own strength. The atmosphere is great, the workouts are always intense and challenging, the instructors are awesome and always pushing you to go harder, and there is always someone to answer any questions regarding the program, nutrition, workouts or anything else you may have some concern about. It was just the push I needed to get myself back again. Although we have completed our first challenge with success, our journey is not over. We start a second challenge this Monday, with a goal of another 20lbs. Excited to get at it again, and keep going after that. I love Elite! My coach, Lauren is awesome sauce!! My sister had just completed the challenge and met her goal so that’s the reason I decided to try a challenge on my own. I also went to a friends and family week with her & instantly fell in love! I had a membership at the Y & was working out 5 days a week before I started my challenge, but I wasn’t really meeting goals or getting to where I wanted to be. There was no one to push me or help achieve my fitness goals at the Y so I had hit a plateau. I love the environment and the group workouts at Elite. The group workouts push you to work even harder. Every day you are doing something different and hitting muscles you didn’t even know you had. During my 6-week challenge, I lot 7.9% body fat and 19lbs!! #boom! One of the best things I’ve done for myself. I decided to join the gym for a year and am excited for what’s to come.
I recently stepped out of my comfort zone and signed up for the 6 week challenge at Elite Edge Grimes. The first day I walked in for a workout I loved it! I have always felt welcomed and the staff knows everyone’s name. The workouts are planned for you, music is loud (something I need for motivation), trainers demonstrate the different exercises for you and best of all coach you through the whole workout helping with correct form and pushing you to go harder. Taking the Elite Edge 6 Week Challenge has been one of the best moves I’ve made during this turbulent and challenging year.Like so many people do, I lost sight of maintaining a healthy diet and exercising over a 3 year period. I was miserable. Finally, I decided to do something about it and enrolled in the Elite Edge 6 week challenge that had always popped up in my Facebook feed. During the challenge I focused on eating clean by following the meal plan provided. I attended all the classes during the week along with some Saturdays (which is recommended, though not required). My trainer, Lauren Springer, was very patient and watched closely to ensure my form was correct and pushed me to my max.Having just completed the challenge on 8/22/20, I can honestly say that I feel rejuvenated. I am down 22 pounds as of my last weigh-in, my clothes now actually fit, and my energy level is through the roof. Happy to report that I will be continuing with Elite Edge and look forward to the next challenge they have planned.
I began my journey at Elite Edge not 100% sure of what my goal was. Yes, I wanted to lose my Covid weight (and pre-Covid weight) and I wanted to start exercising again but I wasn’t confident that I really could – especially as I approached 65. I knew that as I got older and busier, I spent less and less time taking care of myself. I had lost stamina, strength and confidence and I wasn’t at all sure I could keep up with an intense workout program. And I really didn’t want an overzealous instructor yelling at me to keep up. From my very first conversation with Hannah to the one I had today, I got nothing but encouragement. The classes are hard, especially when you haven’t worked out in awhile but everything was demonstrated and explained. Lauren was great, she paid attention, she was knowledgeable and she was my biggest cheerleader. I never had to do anything that I couldn’t and no one made me feel inadequate because I was struggling and I did struggle. I don’t know if this is true of every class but the participants in the one I attended were a big part of my success. I got words of encouragement, helpful hints and I felt a genuine feeling of welcome. I was able to accomplish my goal in the 6-week/20# challenge and I really do feel like I earned it! The real prize I earned was confidence. I won’t ever be the woman I was at 25 or 35 but I will totally rock 65. I am proud and excited to become a member of the Elite family and am looking forward to becoming a better, healthier me in the future.

I completed the 6 week challenge here and there support was amazing. Coach Lauren is tough yet motivational. The overall mood in the gym is overwhelming positive with her presence. I am excited to continue my progress and busting through goals here! Every day in the gym is different, tough and leaves me glad I showed up. Seeing my progress though not only the physical appearance perspective but also my mood and attitude daily makes a huge difference. Feeling the change weekly in my performance completing the classes is motivation in itself.
I came to elite edge because I have seen results on people I know and I wanted that. when I started I was 215 lbs and couldnt go up my stairs without running out of breath. I was completely intimidated by all of it at first. But I kept going, and continue to go. The first week hurt. so much so I cried, alot. But the constant positive vibes and words of encouragement from everyone at elite edge made me feel better and like I was right where I was supposed to be. I was hesitant to try Elite out because of how out of shape I was, but that isnt the case whatsoever. They are for everyone and anyone, no matter how out of shape you are. I am on my second 30 day challenge and cannot wait to see my results. My first challenge I lost 26.5 lbs in just 30 days!! Elite edge is an excellent gym. The atmosphere is positive and supportive. The couches ensure that you are doing the work-out techniques correctly and push you to your limits. The gym is welcoming to different people with different body types. No matter what you look like, you will be celebrated for any achievement you make in that gym, small or big. The coaches will help to find you find the diet that best works for you in order to help you fulfill your health goals. I really enjoyed my time completing the challenge and I intend to continue working out at this gym.
Elite Edge has changed my life since I started in 2018. It has become a part of my daily routine. A workout a day helps me mentally and physically and motivates me to work hard the entire day. The atmosphere is great, the community is welcoming, and the coaches and members are extremely helpful. I had my son in February and I just knew the only way to get my baby weight off and enjoy it at the same time would be to join Elite Edge again. I started my six week challenge in June and lost 21.4 pounds. I am beginning another six week challenge in hopes that I lose another 20lbs. I have enjoyed Elite. All you have to do is wake up, show up, and work for an hour as the workouts are already prepared for you. There is no better feeling then feeling yourself improve and get stronger every day, and at Elite Edge I feel like I am doing just that. Totally worth the investment.
I am finishing up my first Elite Edge six week challenge. The program has literally been the best experience in a “gym” (accurately referred to more as a fitness family) since high school weight lifting for sports when I was part of a team! The support that the members, other challengers and coaches offer you is absolutely unbelievable. There is even a pretty cool group where people can share their struggles and questions with coaches and other members. The coaches and other people in the classes with you are very welcoming and make you feel that you fit in immediately! The classes are a lot of hard work but very effective and fun! This program is by far in my opinion the best I have been to (been to a lot).The coaches are also amazing and work hard to help you stay focused and on track! The coaches are super knowledgeable about fitness and develop workouts that are very effective, and a nutrition list for you to follow! If you are honest with them about struggles and victories they will do their best to assist you and will hold you accountable (very efficient at this).The challenge is six weeks long and you work out 5-6 days a week (minimum of 5, I do six). It is high intensity and you will lose the weight if you follow the damn instructions! One of the best parts, as long as you successfully complete the challenges your money rolls over to the next as long as you’re doing the challenges.If you want a program that is effective, fun and supportive, Elite Edge in Altoona is definitely the place to go for all your transformation goals.
I just finished the six-week challenge. I was very nervous to start a group workout since I have not done that type of exercise since high school. Everyone was very helpful and encouraging. The coaches are AWESOME! They will help you figure out a different way to move if you are unable to do a particular exercise. Hannah was a wonderful, caring leader. She was always willing to listen and to help you keep on track with not only the diet but the full program. I would recommend this program to friends and family. Just finished the Smash the scale challenge and I couldn’t be happier with my results in just 4 weeks! This program was so amazing in so many ways. The workouts were great and really pushed ya girl to her limits. I’ve never been a workout person and I needed this. The diets were so easy to follow and maintain. I’m really happy I decided to try this challenge out. I lost 6 lbs in just 4 weeks and for me that’s a lot! I even went on vacation during the 3rd week and ate a little bad and I still saw results after I came back. The coaches were all amazing and they made each workout fun coming to. I never dreaded coming to the gym and I was excited to workout! That is so big for me!! It definitely was not easy but if you follow their plan and stick to the diets and workouts you will definitely see results! I highly recommend this gym if you are a beginner and don’t know where to start, or if you need the extra push to look and feel better! They really help you and focus on your goals! I can’t wait to see what’s in store next 😆
I started with a 20 lb challenge and it led me to joining as a member. It never gets monotonous and I loved the coaches. I immediately felt at home there and would highly recommend it to anyone that wants to prioritize their health and fitness.
Hello everyone today I want to share my own experience in elite edge.I looked at a post on Facebook, then I read the content and it seemed interesting because in the last year I still gained a lot of weight. So I decided to join this challenge.At first I was a little scared of how hard it could be, exercise, diet, six weeks.but then I deleted that from my mind, and I started working on it, and really the exercise was difficult, but never impossible, the more time passed, the more I liked to train.After my first weigh-in, I lost 6.5 pounds and that motivated me more.In the second and third weeks I got stuck in the same weight, but my trainers SHAUN AND CHICO. They helped me with that, they always answered my doubts, they were very kind and respectful.CHICO made adjustments to my diet and gave me support.The training every time seemed better andI really liked it. I also love that both coaches and ELITE EDGE members always motivate and help youthanks to CHICO who was always attentive to what I needed, and to his support, I was able to successfully complete this challenge. I highly recommend this transformation center because it worked for me, and it worked for almost everyone who took the challenge with me, just always remember FTDI
Elite Edge is THE BEST gym around! The trainers, owner and staff are all excellent. They are knowledgeable and they truly care about you and your journey. I highly recommend Elite to anyone who needs to get focused on exercise. The training times are fun and everyone trains at their own pace! Give Elite a chance and you will love it!
I tried a couple gyms before finding Elite Edge. They not only help you focus on your fitness, but your nutrition as well. They truly care about you and the goals you have set for yourself. Before signing up, they met with me for almost an hour going over all my goals and information. It really made me feel important and welcome. I would suggest this gym to anyone. Been with them 2 months and I’m already seeing results. Coach Lauren is awesome! She will work with you until you get it right and motivates you every workout. A huge thanks to her! Also a shout out to Hannah! She’s always there for you and is super helpful! Thank you guys!
This is my second time doing the 6 week challenge at elite edge, and I’m proud to say I’m here to stay (joining as a member). Elite edge is that push that I’ve always needed, and wanted in a gym. The coaches are great and push you to that limit! Which if you’re like me you need that extra push. The people I’ve met there are so amazing and friendly. I can honestly say this program works! It’s hard, and will definitely test your will power. But if you can stay strong you can do it, just like I did! I am so happy I decided to do this challenge again. I am in a better space mentally and physically and I have my coaches to thank for that. I recommend this program to anyone who really wants to change the way they look, eat and feel. Bottom line IT WORKS. :)
I joined Elite Edge back in July for their 6 week challenge, I absolutely love everything about this center! The trainers there help you push yourself for better and are always concerned about their trainees. If you have never worked out or don’t know anything about going to the gym, I recommend this transformation center! They help you with any questions you may have and they are right by your side no matter what! I struggled to get to losing my 20 lbs in the challenge but I was helped by my trainer and manager to lose the few extra pounds I had to lose in a week and I ended up losing 21 pounds!! You don’t just change physically, but you change mentally as well by always thinking positive. Anything is possible if you put your mind into it.
Being apart of this gym changed my life. I started out doing the six week challenge just to lose some weight and got hooked. The workouts are amazing and I love the people. Feels like a family and the gym feels like another home to me. I ended up getting a membership and I couldn’t be happier with that decision. Can’t wait to continue my journey here!!! If you are on the fence about changing your lifestyle this is the place to start. They even work with you on what meal plan will work for you. It’s more than just a gym membership and I’d recommend this place to anyone that’s ready to put in the work and change their life.
Where do I begin, elite edge definitely gave me my confidence back. I could have easily continued with another 6 week challenge but sadly fitting it in schedule just couldn’t work anymore. But after doing the challenge I lost 22.1 pounds. Which is more then amazing to me. I enjoy getting compliments from coworkers and family on how good and healthy I look. I couldn’t have done that without the help of all the people at elite pushing me to be a better me. Brady with all the 4am classes and of course my rock Lauren with all the night classes. They aren’t just coaches they are family. In the future I would love nothing more then to either do another 6 week challenge or even become a member. After the last couple of years I had I had no where else to turn, this was the heaviest I had ever been, I was dealing with a lot of personal issues. After finding this gym and loving the atmosphere and people I knew that, I needed to be there. Best decision i had made in the last couple of years. Thank you again for everything. I do plan on returning!
6 week challenge has been accomplished. Lauren is an awesome trainer. She helped me dig deep and talked mess to me when needed to pump my motivation which i loved! The workout sessions were hard but worth the effort and work! My sit up game is nasty now, thanks Lauren! I made a family at elite and would recommend to anyone willing to beat the challenge and lengthen their life. Love this place so much that I will continue to go even tho the challenge is over. They aint seen nothing yet. Staff was amazing. Each day there was a different routine and being able to choose the time i went was dope. I have tried other fitness joints but none by far impress me more than elite edge.
Elite Edge Transformation Center has the most amazing vibe. From the graffiti wall art, the layout, and the available equipment. The Elite Edge trainers were very knowledgeable, passionate, professional, and just overall fun to be around. I enjoyed every single workout Ive done there, mainly because of the positive approach to fitness, which made the workout go by a lot faster. You will be challenged mentally and physically all while having a great time.So, wether your goal’s to get back in shape, fit into those pair of jeans you out grown, or if you just want to look amazing for an upcoming event; Elite Edge is what you’re looking for. You will most definitely get your money’s worth and not be disappointed. That is if you FTDI. Follow the damn instructions.Oh and just a heads up, if you’re like me you just might mistaken the warm up..., for the workout.
I Recommend a edge lot because I went in couldnt even do one set up was done with the challenge could do any kind of work out its an amazing gym ready to lose the weight really get happy back with yourself get the stomach you need get the workouts you need is the number one place to be at I appreciate my trainer she pushed me to the max I am who I am now and even though I had cheat day sometimes LOL. im very proud of myself I wouldnt be able to do it without the trainer and the help ! its 100% amazing ! I love it! Going in I had weight to lose and needed the accountability and push to be successful at losing my weight. The workouts are challenging for both the novice and the experiences athlete. It is all about the amount of effort you put in to the workouts. The structure and having someone tell me what to do during the workout was what I needed most. I have found the trainers are motivating and ensure that you are doing the exercises correctly and take the time to get to know you individually. The diet is hart to get a handle on but once you get into a rhythm of meal prepping that goes pretty smoothly s well. I can see why many challengers end up getting a membership when it is over. The environment is very positive and everyone pushes each other. I lost 23.5 pounds in my first challenge and am excited to get my second one started! If you are on the fence, I say JUST DO IT! You wont regret the decision to become a healthier you!
I would highly recommend Elite Edge. I just completed a 6 week challenge and was impressed the workouts. If you are looking for an atmosphere that is encouraging, motivating, fun, & challenging, this is your place. The coaches are knowledgeable and very helpful to make sure you are doing the exercises properly. I really like that the exercises change daily so you do not get bored doing the same things over and over. I came into this challenge solely wanting to use the 6 weeks to get start on losing some weight, but loved the workouts so much that I am became a member.
I was a student athlete in high school and was in the United States Air Force. However in my late 20s to early 30s I let myself go. Heavy partying and heavy eating got me to an undesriable weight and level of fitness. At the ripe age of 31 I decided to chase my childhood dream of becoming a professional wrestler. although I have been living that dream for the past 5 years my weight and level of fitness has held me back in my performance in the ring. Elite Edge has helped me get back on track with my health and fitness. Im feeling like my old self again. The workouts are hard but the coaches are great at pushing and motivating you. 4 weeks into my six week challenge I signed up for a year. today I completed my 6 week challenge and am 21.4lbs lighter, but more importantly I feel great and have my confidence back. Im excited to see where I can go from here and feel sorry for the next guy that steps into the ring with me 💪💪
Update:I completed my second round of the six week challenge. Losing a total of 47lbs! Their program works!—————————Elite Edge hands down is the best place to start if you have zero motivation and confidence. Before I would join other gyms with little success & after 2-3 weeks I’d stop going. Here their coaches work with as if it’s one of one. The work sessions aren’t repetitive & it changes daily. They make sure every muscle is firing off! Thanks to Elites 6 week program Ive gained self discipline, motivation, confidence, and lost a total of 25.7lbs!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I love this place and I totally recommend it 100%. It has provided me with great motivation and the right direction to get my life healthy once again. I could not have done this journey on my own. It is hard work, but it is all worth it at the end. The couches are great at motivating, encouraging and reminding you, why you are there. At the beginning I was a bit lost and embarrassed because I had no clue on what I was doing regarding the workouts. However, the couches helped me a lot and were very patient with my slow learning ability. By the the way my couches are very nice and friendly . Also the other people who have been working out there for a while are very friendly which is nice. The facility has a variety of hours for their workouts which is really nice. The couches are available to answer any questions and help you out so, dont be shy in asking questions or reaching out for help. I also wanted to point out that I really like how clean it is and the restrooms always smell good. Thanks for all your help to Chico, Hanna and Brady!
If youve been looking for a way to jumpstart your healthy lifestyle, dont wait another day.I took the challenge because they promised if I followed the instructions and put in the work, I would beat the challenge - and they were right.I signed on as a member because, even through the most challenging workouts; even on the weeks where I had almost no change on the scale, coaches and other members were there to push me and keep my energy high and my form correct.My only regret was not starting the challenge 6 months ago when I first heard about it. If I had started then, Id be even further along on my fitness journey. But you can learn from my mistake! See you there!
My name is Abigail perdomo and I took the 6week challenge. Working out with Elite Edge was one of the best decisions of my life. I was in a very dark and depressed state of mind before I started. After seeing the boost of energy I gained after week one; it gave me life. I was excited for class, I was excited for a good sweat session, I was excited to start meal prepping, and most importantly I was excited about the weight loss because it works. I lost 22 pounds and felt amazing. I would recommend this challenge to everyone. Elite Edge gives you 6 weeks to focus on yourself. A huge shout out to the team who consistently reminds you why you there. Elite Edge transformation center is a fantastic gym with a great program. The trainers are great and motivate you very well. theyre personable and actually bother to learn who you are. The six week challenge is a neat program where if you follow their diet and lose twenty pounds in six weeks while working out, you get your money back. I lost a good deal of weight and fully intend to keep going all year. They offer a good deal of cardio and strength training. Their location is convenient for me (and one of there locations probably is for you as well), and their people are fantastic.
Elite Edge is amazing. Walking in the coaches greet you and make you feel very welcome, I never felt like just a number. I would not have been able to complete the six week challenge with out their amazing staff. The workouts are killer and they get better everyday. The coaches and fit family push and encouraged you. I was very grateful for all the help they gave me with the diet, any question I had was always answered quickly. I highly recommend this gym. There’s not a better fit “family” out there! Today I can happily say that I accomplished and fulfilled the 6 Week Challenge. I couldn’t have done it without all motivation from the coaches (Chico, Brady and Hannah). They pushed me to work harder than I ever thought I could. Before I started the challenge, I dont remember working out to my full potential. I have not be able to push myself like the coaches did. They always have the right words for you to keep going. I went into this challenge to better my health and feel comfortable in my body again. I dont remember the last time i have felt comfortable and confident in my clothes. Not only do I feel more comfortable in my body now but I also have way more energy and feel confident on how I look and feel. If you are looking for a great gym environment with no one judging you and always pushing you to better yourself, THIS IS THE PLACE. This challenge was not easy, but so worth it. I was able to lose 24.1 lbs in the 6 Weeks. All the sacrifices that I made these last 6 Weeks were so worth it. I loved it here!

It quickly moved to the awesome energy and knowledge that you get from the coach here, they are guide to help and will to take time with you. Also they understand what you are striving for and they WILL get you there and further. I finished my first 6 weeks challege and I lose 22.3 lbs. thank to coach Lauren for push me to that limit!!! Coaches are great and they help you out. First of all i want to say thank you to coach Lauren and Brady for pushing me everyday I was at the gym. Elite is a great place to join and put in work. Everyone there is very friendly and the coaches are amazing. All the coaches we’ll help you out in anything you need and they will definitely push you to the limit to the get the result you want. I recommend this to anyone that wants to join. When I started the challenge I didn’t know if I could get through it, but the coaches help and make it easier, the workouts are great and you will definitely break a sweat. I decided to try this Elite Edge 6 Week Challenge and paid the fee 2 days before everything was shut down due to Covid-19. 4 Months later, I have just finished the “6 Week” Challenge and am 22.2 pounds lighter. Here is a brief review of my experience with Elite Edge South Des Moines and their 6 Week Challenge.First off, they have classes to choose from all day. It was easy to find a time that worked perfectly for my schedule. I chose the 6am time slot because I just don’t wake up early enough for work… Lauren is my trainer and my experiences with her have shown me that she loves helping others improve their health and life. She makes a priority out of hard work and accountability. She achieved that with me through a positive, personal, and disciplined approach. The workouts were fast paced and she pushed me very hard. I liked the structure Lauren created in the workouts.Next we have the FTDI meal plan. I found it to be very restrictive in regard to what I could eat. But I never felt hungry. It definitely worked for me though. An interesting side effect to the meal plan is that I became a better cook. There were so few things I could eat (for six weeks), it forced me to get creative with the spices and combinations. I actually enjoyed this about the challenge quite a bit.Overall, I believe the program works. I have a lot more energy and I like the people they have in place to help me achieve my personal health goals. I even joined Elite Edge after the 6 Week Challenge was over.This program is very hard. But with a positive and committed attitude, even more rewarding.
Best place to begin a journey if brand new to getting yourself back together! Everyone is helpful and set you up for tools for success. Go check it out!! The coaches come to help modify those exercises that you may not be ready for. And I love that each day is different but yet challenging And great playlist!!! I was not sure I would be able to do it or was a skeptic that it would actually work but it does! And it made me feel so much more energy and I cant wait to go each day! I lost 22lbs in my first challenge. I can’t say enough about Elite Edge. I lost over 26 pounds in the 6 week challenge. I loved the workouts and found myself looking forward to them and never did I not want to go. Not only did I lose weight but I felt great. I had more energy and fewer back issues. They kept me motivated. I have never had this much success on my own. Great place and great people
Hi my name is Ivan, I decided to do the six week Elite Edge challenge. I have a couple more weeks too go. The experience has been amazing so far, the trainers are very helpful Lauren Springer is my trainer she pushes you, motivates you and is always there to help if you have any questions. It hasn’t been easy but once you start you get motivated to keep going until you meet you goal. My goal is to lose 20 pounds. The workouts are fun and engaging, as long as you do them the way. There is no doubt that you will meet your goal. I definitely recommend Elite Edge to anyone who is determined to lose weight and live a healthy life.
I absolutely love this place! The coaches and other members are awesome. Everyone is so supportive and encouraging. I have just completed my first 6 week challenge. I lost 22lbs! I was so nervous my first day. I really had no idea what to expect, I was completely surprised at how much I really enjoy the class. Plus they have a 4am class (only one I could realistically make it to). Ill be started a second 6 week challenge in a couple of days and then Ill most definitely be joining the gym. The coaches are so knowledgeable and actually care about your success. They help you when you need it and push you to give it your all. I am no where close to where I want to be, but after just 6 short weeks i have seen a difference. I have lost mot only the 22lbs l, but so many inches. I am so much stronger than I was and with the help of Elite Edge Im confident Ill get where I want to be.
I have never enjoyed going to the gym until I started going to Elite Edge South Side. I just completed my first 6 week challenge and lost 24 pounds by following the nutrition plan and working out at least 5 times a week. About halfway through, I started going on Saturdays as well! I feel better than I have in a LONG time and cant wait to start the next challenge. Huge thanks to Brady, Lauren and Hannah for supporting me every step of the way. Do not be afraid if you are completely out of shape and are scared to death of going to a “boot camp”. The trainers and coaches will give you alternate movements any time you need them. It’s a judgment free zone and every one wants to see you succeed! Once you get through that first week, you will be hooked!
I have had a wonderful experience here. I did the six week challenge and finished it with great success. I am not going to say it is not difficult because it is but I will say it was completely worth it. I lost 24.3lbs but also gained muscle and confidence.The staff is absolutely amazing. They are supporting, caring and completely non judgmental. They want you to succeed and believe in you! They push you but are understanding. I would recommend anyone that truly wants a change in their health to do the challenge. All you need to do is go in with an open mind, a willingness to push yourself and to follow the damn instructions (FTDI).
Starting the 20 pound challenge I was really nervous, as I was already at a healthy weight for my height. But with persistence and determination, here I am 20 pounds down! I would be lying if I told you this was a super easy challenge because the coaches really do push you to be a better version of yourself! Typically, it would be a business move to try and get your deposit and keep it, however, the coaches will do anything in their power for you to succeed in this challenge. The workouts are fun and engaging and as long as you FTDI, there shouldnt be any doubt that you will be 20 pounds lighter after this challenge! I would highly recommend the 20 pound challenge at Elite Edge South Side to anyone who is willing to make a positive change not only with their physical health but also with their mental health.
What an experience! It started out really hard. Meal prepping is a LOT of work, the workouts were exhausting (my body was sore everywhere), and drinking a gallon of water left me peeing every half an hour. It got easier though!! It helped that I actually loved everything on the diet and that I really enjoy working out. And that’s the reason I took this journey... to get my spark back and to push and challenge myself again. Plus I started seeing results (not really until the end though). Just like everything, it’s different for everyone and you might need some adjustments and that’s what the coaches are for. More than anything it’s possible if you just hold yourself accountable. I made it!! And I have this program to thank for giving me back that dedication, drive, pride, and overall spark I was searching for! Great people, great program, and great experience!

Where do I start? I came to EE during buddy week and loved it. I decided that I needed to do something for myself instead of putting everyone before me. I did the 21 day challenge to detox and LOVED it! I loved it so much I just finished my 1st 6week transformation and I lost 22.4lbs!! After seeing results, I am doing another 6week challenge right now!!!!! I never thought I could be where I am at now if it was not for the coaches and their encouragement. I want to give a shout out to Elite Edge Transformation Center South Side Des Moines for the great atmosphere and motivation!
The 6-week challenge at Elite Edge was exactly what I needed. I have always been active and eaten healthy-ish, but I had let my weight creep up and it got to the point I finally admitted I didn’t have the tools to help myself. The clear routine and accountability measures built into both the workout program and nutrition plan kept me motivated. While it was challenging at times, both physically and mentally, it was fun and energizing and ultimately I came away with amazing results. I lost 21.4 pounds, look great, feel great, and now have the tools and confidence that I need to maintain this healthier lifestyle.
Made me fall in love with working out again. Instructors are so friendly and helpful and made me feel comfortable right off that bat. I used to work out from home and i had a partner that would do it with me every night. When she moved, it was so hard to keep up the motivation. Elite Edge has helped tremendously with that. I’m so thankful I bit the bullet and joined this gym.

So I finished my first 6 week challenge ever. I lost 12 lbs, not the 20 I was hoping for but I feel amazing. This is the first time in many years that I dont hurt everywhere all the time. I love the trainers and all the staff. I was very nervous starting out because I weighed 283 lbs. Havent worked out in years & ate fast food all the time. I thought the working out would be the hardest but it was actually the diet. I managed though. Im proud that I stuck with this even when I felt like giving up. Ive gone down 2 dress sizes and all my pants are too big now. My blood sugar levels have gone from Mid 200s to low 100s. Thank you to the amazing trainers Lauren & Brady. Also to Hannah & Chico. If you are even considering doing this take the leap and do it. I decided to get a membership & so excited to see where this journey takes me.
I just finished my first six week challenge on Saturday July 13, 2019 and it was fun. I have never done anything like this before so the whole this was brand new to me. I wasnt overly exhausting myself to make it to the workouts. Luckily there are many times to choose from if I wasnt able to make it in the mornings before I went to work. This was a great experience. The coaches are helpful and so are the gym members! I would recommend this gym due to the fact that they are beyond helpful and help you reach your goal
I have been a member for awhile now, and don’t think any gym will compare to Elite Edge. I love that we never do the same work out, and the trainers are awesome! I look forward to workouts now, and hate to miss! I have toned and learned so much in the few months I have been a member. Thanks Elite for being awesome!
I just finished my 6 week challenge 2 days ago. And I will say, it is called a challenge for a reason. It is not easy, but it is very worth it. I know some people arent comfortable working out with a room full of other people, but one thing I can say and it may sound cliche; is that everyone in the gym wants the same thing.. To better themselves everyday. I can confidently say that Elite Edge is a judge-free zone! If you are willing to put in the work and stick to the plan the coaches will do EVERYTHING in their power to make sure you hit your goals. I became a member of the gym about halfway through the challenge because I loved the energy and genuine care from the coaches to the other members, and everyone involved. I recommend 5/5, and I promise itll be one of the better decisions of your adult life!
EliteEdge has changed my life. I had been a member at the Y for years but was always to scared to go lift in the weight area. I had fears of lifting wrong and not knowing what exercises to do correctly. The trainers at Elite are awesome and walk you through all the exercises! If your doing it wrong they teach you the right way. No judgements from others. I always felt very encouraged and was looking forward to seeing what the next day brought. I did the 6 week challenge and lost 22.5 pounds. The toughest part is getting through the first week and getting adjusting to the meal plan. I will never regret the decision to give EliteEdge a try. I will be rolling into another a challenge. After that I will be looking into a membership so that I can maintain my new lifestyle!
Elite Edge Transformation Center is more than a gym, it is a different way of getting fit and feeling good physically. I did the 6 week- 20lb challenge that offered all the workout classes I wanted to go to plus a nutrition guide and weekly accountability to keep me on track. I wont lie, it was hard, the end was really rough, bit I did it, I beat it and now I feel more confident and comfortable in the gym, in my skin, and in my ability to have self control and discipline. All of this due to Elite Edge. They are truely a new kind of gym, a family atmosphere, a fun place to workout, an awesome place to make new friends, and an amazing place to step up your fitness and wellness no matter where you currently are or where you wanna go. Highly highly recommend.
I loved Elite Edge. I started the six week challenge and I really didnt know what to expect. All of the trainers were amazing. The workouts were different every day so you never got bored. We were always learning new things. The trainers were all amazing. They were constantly pushing us to be better and to do more. I didnt think I would ever be able to do half of the workouts, but with a little help from the trainers I was able to accomplish so much. Every week I saw improvement and the trainers kept pushing. I was able to successfully complete this challenge. I didnt think it was possible to lose 20 pounds in just six weeks. I would highly recommend Elite Edge to anyone who is serious about wanting to lose weight or live a more fit lifestyle. It was definitely a hard 6 weeks, but it was worth it in the end.
The gym is hands down the best around from the staff, to the workouts and the members. I just completed the 6 week challenge and have to thank Lauren and Chico for all of the grueling workouts and motivation (coach’s Brady teaches AM classes so I never got to have him). All of the coaches are certified and are great with helping everyone perform exercises safely and properly and adapt them if needed. You’ll never leave the gym without dripping in sweat, but you will see and feel the difference in your body if you stick to it! If you want to tone up, lose weight, and/or get healthy EE is the place to be!
I just completed my 6 week challenge at Elite Edge and found a workout place that I can call home. I was talked into doing the challenge by a friend and I’m glad I did it. The 6 week challenge was a motivator to get me back on track to a more healthier lifestyle. The instructors are amazing, push you to do more than just your best and are there for you to ask questions. Elite Edge is a perfect place to jump start a change and now a place I look forward to going to as not only the instructors work you hard but the people you are working out with also encourage you to go the extra mile. If you are looking for a place to jump start a healthy lifestyle, Elite Edge is definitely the place to do it!

I can honestly say the Elite Edge 6 week challenge has been one of the hardest yet most rewarding things Ive done for myself in a long time. As a mother of three young kids it is easy to make excuses to not take the time for self-care, like exercise and eating right. But once I made the decision to join the challenge I realized how important it is to make time for those things and that it is not nearly as impossible as I once thought.I went into this challenge mainly looking for something to jumpstart my motivation for working out, I needed that push. I was not originally concerned with winning a challenge but once I got started and saw how it works I realized my body was capable of a lot more than I gave it credit. When it came down to the last week I was amazed that I was within reach of the 20 lb and it pushed me to stay focused. The day of the weigh in I could not believe that the scale showed that I had lost a total of 21 pounds, I could not stop smiling.I would not have made it through this challenge without Elites amazing staff. Hannah Brammer is wonderful, she listens to your concerns, gives advice, and honestly wants you to succeed. The coaches at Elite Edge Brady, and Lauren are just incredible. Both coaches know how to push you out of your comfort zone all while making sure you are learning proper technique so you see results every week you work with them.After every workout I felt wonderful. It was half relief that the workout was over but also amazement that I was able to get through it.This is definitely a hard challenge but it should be, nothing easy is worth it and you will be so proud of your dedication and hard work once it is over. I encourage everyone to try it, you will not be disappointed!!!
I thought the six week challenge would be easy... the orientation went well. The weigh-in wasn’t difficult. However, the first workout on the first day of a six week journey confirmed just how astray optimism can lead us at times. The notion of over confidence eventually led me to the bathroom several times that first week to empty my soul. At that moment it would have been easy to quit and walk away with the little bit of dignity remaining intact. But that wasn’t an option. The only choice was to find a way to continue. And that I did, for the next five weeks I progressed little by little day to day. It wasn’t something I accomplished alone. I had help. Help came from a team of coaches willing to provide assistance, direction, suggestions and answers. And that combination helped me succeed in a way I was unsure of being capable of during that first week. Nevertheless, here I am twenty-eight pounds lighter beginning my second six week challenge ready to push the limits and test myself beyond what I previously thought was possible. It might not be easy but it will most certainly be easier.
If you’re looking for a high-energy gym where the people are always friendly whether you’re new or a returning member this is the place! The coaches are always available to answer questions. I can honestly say I have not enjoyed working out before and I look forward to working out now! They offer many different options for work out times to accommodate any ones schedule. You can join a challenge or join as a member both options are great! The location is close to downtown and is convenient for an early morning or after work workout. The coach’s keep the workouts interesting by changing them daily to continuously challenge your self.
I started the 6 week challenge on 2/3/2020. I knew that it would be a struggle to loose the 20 pounds, but with their encouragement, I was hoping that I could do it. The 1st week was a killer! It started rough, and by mid-week, I felt that I would have a real challenge ahead of me. The 2nd week things started coming around and not as bad. By the time I was done with my 3rd week, I began to see some progress in how I felt and what I saw in the mirror. As odd as it sounds, I began to look forward to waking up at 0430 to go to the gym. It was also in the third week that I decided to become a full member. Going forward, I realized that it is not all about losing 20 pounds so you can get your money back. That is just a small incentive on top of feeling better, looking better, having more energy, being healthier and losing weight. Im at the end of my 5th week and Im already amped-up for the next challenge. I 100% recommend this program for anyone up for the challenge.
This is not just a gym, this is a family! Hannah, Chico, Brady and the other trainers made everyone feel important and welcome. I met a lot of people that were struggling with their weight (like me) and those that were striving to achieve a higher level of fitness with every workout. I felt with the group training sessions that I was a part of something bigger than myself. I took the challenge and lost 21 lbs. I did it through my hard work and dedication, but without proper workouts and meal diet plan, this would be just a diet. Everyday I would arrive to smiling faces and then get to work. Everyday was different. I was never bored and felt that I could accomplish more and more with every visit. I had a personal coach, Hannah, which encouraged me, verbally throughout the process. I had Chico and Brady that encouraged and trained the proper way to workout and to get the most out of every move. Then I had my co trainees. We were all in this together. I would encourage anyone, at any level to join Elite Edge on the southside! I feel better, I look better and most importantly I will live a longer and healthier life!
I did the 6 week challenge and lost 26 lbs. was it hard yes. Was changing the way I ate hard Yes. Was it worth it. YES. I feel better about myself my clothes fit better. I’m able to push myself to finish most of the workouts. The trainers are fantastic. They have the energy to keep you going when you want to stop and will correct you if they see you doing a movement wrong so you don’t injure yourself. They are there to answer any and all questions you have about your nutrition or what you need to do to adjust to get the weight coming off if you Plateau. If your on the fence about doing this challenge get over it and JUST DO IT it’s definitely worth it.
