I waited until we moved out and squared up with City House before writing this. No one thing is any of the frequently changing office staffs fault in the office and I do think they are genuinely trying to improve the living situation at their community, but unfortunately they are in a tight spot. The good: you can walk to all the good stuffs in downtown. Elitch Gardens, Coors Field, Union Staion, Riverfront Park, two grocery stores, 16th street shops, all the bars and entertainment you can possibly want. The bad: security is a joke. My moped was stolen, not once, but twice. My car was broken into and in speaking with neighbors it happens often. Dont leave bicycles in the garage period. Ive included pictures of the cut bike locks. Graffiti and damages around the property are endless. While the maintenance team tries, they just cant keep up with the broken gates. The garage doors are always broken. In the 15 months we lived here, the vagrant population and tent communities edged ever closer and as more people are experiencing homelessness, they began sleeping in the halls and smoking definitely not weed in the courtyard. We found needles outside our patio. Living on the first floor, we had to ask them not to sleep on our patio. Lock your door. More than once I experienced being home alone and someone checking the door handle just to see if they could get in. I stopped walking alone anywhere at night due to harassment. It broke my heart not to feel safe in my own home. The unit itself was not bad, just small. The entertainment system pre-installed never worked, but we didnt mind. Packages were frequently stolen from the mailroom and area where the Luxor lockers are. Ask to see the dog wash station and trash room and note the leaking pipes in all the hallways, water damage on the ceilings, and crusty door frames the tour wont show you. It wreaks of mildew and when they clean the carpet it stays wet for days. The HVAC systems are old and not cleaned properly.Overall, I cant say Id recommend living here. It has a half-step-above-a-dorm room vibe. People leave white claw cans and trash around the pool and common areas, the hot tub never works, and no one took covid precautions seriously in the gym. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere.

Experienced some frustration with a miscommunication about move in, but ever since the city house team has done everything to make living here great. There are definitely some newer employees who aren’t sure what’s going on but Joanna seems to run the show and does it really well. Great responsiveness to requests and good maintenance team. Also new management who seems to have implemented some improvements to the overall tenant experience. Still some outstanding maintenance issues to the common areas and I wish the parking garage was better lit and had cameras, but seems like the bigger issues are on the team’s radar as long-term goals. Overall would recommend living here.

It saddens me to see how much this apartment complex has decreased in care and safety concerns. I am truly disgusted by the management here and their lack of concern or care for residents. When I moved in last July, I was so excited about the location of City House and honestly adored our apartment. Throughout the first few months of living here, I noticed the lack in management and various things that could be improved upon, but that is also a part of living in an apartment. Within these past few months, the homeless issues have become unbearable. There are constant break-ins, homeless people wandering the halls, stairwells, courtyards and garage, packages consistently stolen, cars being broken into, and beyond. My roommates car has been broken into over 5 times since living here. I have voiced my concerns to the the leasing office numerous times and they do not seem to care whatsoever or have any sense of urgency in regards to resolving this issue. I was told by the front desk woman that “this is a part of living in Denver”, and that to fix these issues I’d have to figure out resolutions on my own. As a young female, I feel so scared and unsafe to leave my apartment here. I am unsure as to what it will take for this apartment complex to open their eyes and take these safety issues more seriously. I am moving out in a week due to the safety problems here and I highly do not recommend moving in here. Especially if you are going to live alone. For those that are currently residents or for future residents, please stay safe and I truly hope that it does not take someone getting hurt or assaulted for the apartment complex to start taking action and initiative.

It is their (av5)s responsibility to look out for their tenants. I have been told by the front desk it is OUR responsibility to let them know about these issues and that unfortunately cleaning up the stairwells is a lengthy process which is just ridiculous. This will be my last year living here.

The best deal for an apartment in Union Station. Youre not getting the newest amenities or tight security like the other complexes on the block, but you still get a great pool, affordable rent, and to be walking distance from Mile High, Coors Field, Ball Arena and the best restaurants in town. Its worth it to live on this block alone. Unfortunately, there is the smell of urine in the elevators every day which may be from homeless people or dogs - unsure.

I use a wheelchair and this has been one of the most accessible apartment buildings in Denver Ive ever lived in. However, after living here for less than a month - a lot of the cabinets and wooden parts have fallen off without me even touching them. Giant heaps of ants are present in the courtyard and the residents are allowed to vomit and throw trash onto other residents patios. There are many safety threats in the evening. After multiple written notifications to them, no response from management! Huge discrimination and civil rights issue. Will be going to HUD and State Leg. if not resolved.

We moved here a few months ago and have had a pleasant experience so far. The couple issues weve had have been handled efficiently by the very kind maintenance man. Weve noticed a couple security issues - homeless people hanging around our front door, a package being stolen, and our car getting broken in to. The security effort from the office staff could be improved. Otherwise we love our location and our apartment!

I think management is working to address, so hopefully it gets better.

I think this is the best place to live in the area. The only down sides are things the complex can’t really help (train, people outside,etc.). I like living here because it’s mainly young people and dogs with not much noise after hours. Having the grocery store across the street is a huge win.

The City House Apartments are a great place to live! Its within walking distance of everything great downtown and just the absolute best for young people and couples to really see what the beautiful and diverse city of Denver has to offer; right at the tip of your fingers!Furthermore, the apartments themselves are spectacular. They are very clean and spacious with large windows and working fixtures (something thats hard to find in the city). The hallways kinda look like your walking through the hotel in the Shining... but that gives it the rich and authentic Colorado experience, something that is missing from most apartments. Theres a pool, rooftop, hot tub, dog washing room, clubhouse, and an easy and secure mailing system. Union Station is within walking distance so you dont have to drive to the airport and we have the light rail right next door too. Theres a King Soopers right across the street! If you dont have a car or want to get rid of the ole clunker and go green, its a very easy place to do so with how close everything you need is.The only downside is there is a train the likes to arrive and depart 89123897412 times a day right behind the building but with everything thats been said, its 100% worth it.Overall, its been the best place Ive lived in the city of Denver and plan to stay put for a while. For the price and location, it’s fine, but definitely could do better. The hot tub is broken and there’s no plans of it being fixed. One of the two stationary bikes in the gym is broken. The parking garage exit door has been broken for over three weeks now, and despite following up with management, they have not been able to provide information on when it will be fixed. My neighbors have had bikes stolen from the garage, and had their cars broken into multiple times. The concrete floors in the hallway are uneven. Someone ripped out a carpet tile in the hallway, and you can see the concrete crumbling. When I asked management if they had plans to fix the structure, they said it was part of the long term plan. Just this week, they announced they’re draining the pool to have it retiled, very conveniently in the middle of July.

Homeless people are constantly in the common areas, breaking doors, harassing residents, leaving grills on, and using the hallways as toilets. Management seems concerned, but has been unable to stop or reduce the issue at all. External doors are often broken for weeks before they’re fixed. The cops do not seem interested in pursuing these types of situations and the security company management hired is less than responsive.Homeless people are sleeping in the courtyard constantly, mere feet from the live in maintenance. Management and maintenance are totally and completely incompetent, always saying it will be fixed next month, and never taking responsibility for the problems that are caused by their total lack of inaction

Seems like the team is doing their best. The garage door still is not fixed, but I know Joel said they are waiting on an outside vendor for that repair.Second update to my review…. The pool maintenance was done quickly and on time in a week and they claim to have fixed the hot tub. One of the garage doors is still broken, and the entrance into the building from the garage was without a door handle for 2 days, but they fixed that also. The staff is def doing the best they can to keep up with the repair needs of such a large building.Update to my review…. Hate to do it, but I have to downgrade this to 1 star. Since I’ve moved in the exit to the parking garage failed forcing us to use one gate for both ways of traffic. No notification was sent by Mgmt and I was told after inquiring that it would be a few weeks before a fix is made. The hot tub has been broken since before I moved in, and that will also be a “few weeks.” They announced today the pool will be closing on 7/19 for retiling, and that it will be closed for an undetermined amount of time. Had I known of these problems, I would not have chosen to live here. No pool or working hot tub in the heart of summer is not what I was looking for, and certainly not what I should be getting for what they charge here. Echoing others’ reviews, the homeless situation is out of control, and it seems that they are unable to adequately secure the property.I would expect some type of concession to be offered given the lack of pool and jacuzzi access in the prime of summer, but I doubt anything will be offered.Just moved in and the experience has been good so far. The staff is responsive and will address concerns immediately. Maintenance is great, and they will fix any problems fast. The units are nice, but seem a bit dated. The AC isn’t super efficient in the current heat wave, my unit hasn’t gotten below 80 since I moved in despite having the thermostat set to 70 and lower. Hopefully it cools off and I’m sure it will be up to the task for normal temps. It can get noisy, especially on weekends, but that’s what you have to expect living downtown. The homeless around the building are a constant presence, and you will have to interact with them, but that’s basically all of Denver at this point and isn’t the building’s fault. They do leave a mess around the entrances sometimes. Their contractor power washing the building exterior saturated all the items on my patio. I hope folks with nice bikes know to take them inside. Altogether, the place has been good and I’m looking forward to seeing what the next year brings. The front office staff and maintenance crew make every effort to make this place an accommodating and welcome home. I appreciate their hard work.

*this and below are promotional reviews*Would not recommend; they lack security at night and have issues with homeless sleeping outside apartment doors. I run every morning and literally step over people sleeping outside my apartment to get the stairwell most days. I have emailed repeatedly asking for a fob lock to be put on the apartment floors and was told they would not and that “they couldn’t guarantee locks wouldn’t be picked”. Homeless downtown is unavoidable but the fob lock on the stairwells is a small ask to provide standard security for a downtown apartment.Additionally our renewal process was a nightmare and we ended up paying thousands extra…

People are nice, it’s a good deal for the location etc. Issues are security, there isn’t much and if you call them expect them to show up late or not at all. The doors to keep homeless out sometimes don’t work and we find people in the building a lot that shouldn’t be in there, including the pool that is accessible with ease and bums are always sleeping in the “locked” amenity areas. Last year had a HUGE issue with the mailroom, it was gone through daily by a package thief daily for months and cars in the garage are constantly broken into. The cameras are an old system and not accessible so there is no camera surveillance (the old maintenance guy told us this) as far as I know currently. The whole building is literally falling apart starting with ACCESS locks on almost every door. Literally anyone can walk in.Oo and don’t get extra storage. It’s next to the open garage and ours was broken into last week and nothing was done about it.Literally nothing gets done here.

Living here is fine, as long as you never have to deal with management (you will). We accidentally paid rent 1 day late one month (issue with our autopay), and they gave us no grace period and reported us to credit bureau immediately despite all other payments (~12 mos. worth) being made on time and the fact that we immediately paid next day (including late fee). They are difficult to work with and Keri Nguyen, the property manager, is reluctant to help tenants with issues. There are plenty of other apartments in this area, I suggest living in one where management treats tenants with respect and understanding. Would not live here again.

The location is convenient and the apartment itself is nice and a really good layout, but the building has a feeling of neglect to it (ie. Fixing the holes in the 4th floor hallways, replacing the light bulbs in the parking garage, the ground floor door on Chestnut that sticks and won’t open at times, etc.). I also think it’s unfair to have the residents pay the utilities for the common spaces when lights are on in the amenity rooms 24/7 instead of having motion sensors, the pool is “heated” but not enough to swim in, just enough that they don’t have to properly close it in the winter, and there does not seem to be any programmable thermostats to turn down the heat overnight, etc. There have been improvements in communication from the office though, and they seem to be working on improving things in the building here and there over time.

City House Apartments is simply wonderful. The location is great because everywhere is so accessible without being right in the mix with the busiest parts of town with the most amount of crazies. Ive lived in other apartment complexes where parking is a major headache. Here, however I have never struggled to find a spot in the covered garage. There is a pool table with a street view that my friends and I take full advantage of. The actual pool itself is wonderful, with a perfect jacuzzi to relax in. Often times a complex will look great and be very appealing but lack a pleasant staff, not here. Whenever I need anything from a package to a lightbulb, this staff is always willing to go the extra mile to get me what I need in a more than timely fashion. Everyone is so friendly and I have never seen a desk attendant, grounds person, or any employee at all not greet me with a smile. I believe I will be calling City House Apartments my home for quite some time as I feel safe here, I love the community they put together, the location is unbeatable, they provide whatever I need that day if its nothing crazy, and Im simply just happy here. 5/5 stars would highly recommend to anyone who has been living here for years, or moving here for the first time. Very unsecured building. Constant issues with doors to the streets, garage doors being jammed open, people letting non-residents in, to name a few. As of late, I have seen homeless people laying in the halls and walking in the main area (one had a bloody shirt). This comes with the territory of living downtown, however, there have been very few actions by the apartment building to rectify the situation. Packages have been ripped into and the area camera doesn’t work, so there is no way to tell who’s doing this. They supposedly have a security guy walking around at night, but I have only seen him once in the last 2 years. Our cars have been tampered with, one car was ripped into (soft top) two separate times. Please do your homework! I ignored previous comments before moving in here and I absolutely regret it only because of all the theft and tampering.

Security is atrocious - our car was broken into twice (in the garage) and I felt scared to be in there alone. We moved out about a year ago because of these things. They reached out to us last week telling us that we owned a random amount of money - 1 YEAR AFTER MOVING OUT - not able to explain what the charges were for. This is after the leasing office told us numerous times last Spring that our balance was $0. After one week of not getting in touch with us, they sent this unexplained charge to collections. I never write bad reviews, but feel so burned by them after this that I feel the need to warn others. If you want to be in LoDo, consider one of the newer buildings in the neighborhood instead.

We moved in to the 4th floor in July of 2019. Right from the beginning Cityhouse has been good and is always getting better. Jason Box, one of the leasing reps has been phenomenal. He has helped us with issues and has worked with us during our stay. The building is so close to all the downtown amenities, steps away from the light rail and smack dab between Whole Foods and King Soopers. The staff provides snacks for you and your dog in the lobby, and most weeks are resident events, with free snacks, drinks, and a chance to meet your neighbors. They recently got with Spruce, a cleaning/pet sitting service that can do the work without you being home or needing to drop off keys. There is valet laundry service and the gym is well stocked. Be sure to explore the clubhouse, and the fire pits in the courtyard were fun to watch the local fireworks from and hear music from Coors Field Concerts. The building has a few issues, but most of those reside in residents not following the rules, or when the homeless manage a way inside. Security has been great, and is quick to respond when called upon.We loved every minute of it, and are sad to leave, but we finally had a chance to buy our own home. Thanks to Cityhouse apartments and Jason Box!

Minus the pool on the weekends, City House has become a ghost town littered with homeless, constant maintenance issues, amenities you cant use because theyre broken, and constant increases in your rent. Whatever they quote you in rent, add on $200-$250 in additional charges monthly and be prepared to be taken to the shed during move out charges. I helped a friend move and clean their apartment and it was move-in ready and they were still charged an asinine amount in damages. From what Ive heard multiple times, before Avenue 5 took over as property managers it was a nice place to live but not since I moved in. The staff including property managers have changed more often then theyve changed their underwear. A former employee told me they regularly find drug needles and homeless living in storage, maintenance closets, and other community areas. Apartments mysteriously flood almost monthly. I thought after Avenue 5 hired Keri as the property manager things would change, but I saw my friends apartment at move out and saw the bill they sent him. OUCH! Now I’ve moved out bc it got so bad and I get my statement with some very incorrect information on it and I have called 4 times over two weeks for the same thing to happen “I’m not sure let me have someone call you” only for no one to call. Also I had random a $260 charge on my account a month before move out and was told they don’t know what it was from but I would receive a credit but two months later and I still have not received it. Lastly before the last bit of rent was due I asked to be taken off auto draft so I wouldn’t get charged for my roommates half as he moved over seas and I can’t get ahold of him. I was told this would be done but it wasn’t and the whole amount was taken out of my account. Want this review down? Do your job and call me back and fix your mistakes! New but the property owner went cheap on flooring, appliances and construction. Walls and floors were not constructed with sound attenuation in mind. Most disappointing was management. Nothing was ever done with half a dozen complaints about parties lasting until 4am and even a resident who almost ran two people over because he was not paying attention while driving too fast in the parking garage.

At first I thought this place was great, when I was dealing with the first of three new management teams. The place is in a great location and the apartment is great on the inside BUT....Be prepared to see homeless people sleeping outside in the courtyard and throw up all over the property. Doors don’t shut or stay locked. Someone hit the garage door and now it has been jammed for weeeeeeks with no effort by the management to fix regardless of theft complaints. They said they would have security outside and never do and there are no cameras outside. There is new management every 4 months, and it seems nothing gets done because of it. Sometimes it has a college dorm feel because things will be randomly broken or trashed, such as the common living areas.

Was told first two month rent free and did not receive it in the process of trying to get an answer. Fire place did not work when I moved in. Parking is a huge pain and cannot get a parking spot for a visitor if the office is closed. Sometimes the staff is helpful other times not so much. For how much rent is I would expect a higher standard of quality.

We lived here for 3 months and had to break our lease because we were miserable (it costed us almost 4K, BTW... and that was with a discount)! This is why we broke our lease:The building:--The hallways are dirty (it took the leasing over 2 weeks to throw away garbage outside our neighbors door after they got evicted).--Our bikes got damaged and vandalized in the garage.--Someone (a human, not dog) went #2 in the stairwell and it took them an entire day for them to clean it up -- HORRIBLE SMELLS ALL DAY (thank you Steven for cleaning it up).--The main entry doors were not working for weeks. They either stayed open for anyone to enter or they simply wouldnt open with the fob. This was a huge security concern, esp since this is not the best area after dark.--Since the building is HUGE the elevators take forever. Unless you want to use the stairwells (up to 6 floors), it takes a long time to get in and out.--There is only ONE place & elevator for movers. Find out how far your movers will need to walk to move your stuff into your apartment. It took our movers double (4 hours, turned into 8) because they had to walk all of our stuff down 5 different hallways before they got to our apartment. The community:Not safe after dark! Everyone who came to visit us was shocked when we told them how much we paid in rent. The area itself will be great in several years once all the construction is complete but right now its questionable. One night while walking our dogs, someone followed us all the way to the gated area. Other nights, homeless people are outside yelling at one another. While this is has nothing to do with Alta City House, this is something to consider when moving into this area... especially if you are single!Do your research before living here. We came from Chicago and didnt know better. If you are open to areas in or close to downtown, check out Capital Hill, Wash Park, and Glendale (Cherry Creek area, way better prices). Good luck!

This review is to offset the 2 fake reviews made within minutes of each other by John C and Debbie OBrien aka management trying to pump up the rating and get more leases signed, how unethical of them! Busy restaurants dont get 2 reviews within minutes let alone an apartment building that has 26 reviews in 4 years.Owners completely changed leasing management companies the first of this year, the old ones were ok, the new ones have no clue what theyre doing. How the head apartment manager got her job is, well Ill let your imagination run wild with that.Gym - Its far too small for a community this size to begin with. One of two treadmills was down for over a month and the property manager didnt know who to call. Youd think shed immediately call the company that has fixed the machines oh about a 100 times now, it took her a month to call the same company.Theyre starting to charge for parking here and a resident addressed her concern about construction people parking in our garage for free, the resident had pictures to prove and other documentation. Instead of caring about the resident concern, the property manager Ashley argued with the resident, even though she was only 2 months into her job. She argued with the resident by saying we have residents work in various industries. The resident had proof those cars didnt belong in the garage, I and other residents have seen several groups of construction workers line up at the garages waiting to get in before and after work. Ashley is lazy and if she spent 5 minutes looking into it, she would have found out that resident is correct. One of my friends had their first floor apartment flooded because maintenance didnt know how to change a water heater or know how to shut the water valve off.It is true they let the homeless run rampant in the building without caring.Only pro is the location, but for the price and horrible amenities its not worth it.I live in the pool area and Im not looking forward to another summer of drunk fools yelling until the late night hours with property management not caring.

I moved in this building 2 years ago. The management at that time was friendly and quick to address problems . Recently, they have been going through a lot of management changes that have resulted in extremely poor experience. The gates and doors are often broken and not functioning, pool is closed often and even got closed by the city due to poor conditions, constant changes to the parking registration (Thats annoying), my AC was out twice this summer and took them 2 weeks to service the AC, sink plunger was poorly replaced, hallways are stinky due to water leakages and nothing has been done to fix that, someone nicked my car and my car got broken into in the garage but apparently there are no cameras in the garage. Someone stole camping gear from the patio and security was no where to be seen.Over all i have had a poor experience living in this apartment complex. They dont seem to care about complaints or take care of residents. I have heard similar views from other people living at the complex. Random $480 charge out of no where was a nice surprise as well. I dont plan on renewing my lease under current circumstances.Update: I didn’t renew my lease.Current management is horrible ! I had to pay $1000 to get my cars that were towed from their garage despite having permits and paid parking.

Great location, close to Union, and tons of great restaurants, bars, and breweries and the front desk staff is amazing. There were some hiccups from the transition over from previous management, but the rockstars at the front office have bent over quite literally backwards to give residents the best possible experience.

I would advise to NOT live in this apartment complex... there are TONS of other/newer apartments in the area that I would look into!! My husband and I lived here for 2 years and there were several things that occurred...1. We were broken into TWICE, loosing approximately $1,500 in property!2. We paid rent and utilities on time every month for 2 years, there was no documented damage to the apartment upon move out, and my husband and I never caused any troubles with the complex for the above concern and upon move out the complex charged us $856 (YES $856) for giving a 45 day notice of intent to not renew our lease instead of 60 days. Upon voicing our concerns for this outrageous charge we were informed our verbal notice at 60 days was not acceptable! Keep in mind we obtained an e-mail 7 days following our written intent to not renew our lease indicating the apartment was already leased!3. Homeless individuals bathe in the pool.4. There is NO response from security if you need them. We attempted to contact them following two men attempting to break in (yes the 3rd time)and there was no response.5. My car was scratched/dented multiple times in the parking deck.6. I have lived in 6 other apartment complexes since attending college and I have never been treated so poorly!Save yourself the hassle and money and look into the TONS of other newer apartments on the block or in the area!! There is NO need to live here and be taken advantage of!

I have lived in Alta for 2 months. I have had so many homeless issues, I dont feel safe as a single female on a ground level. They bathe in our pool, they sleep outside my courtyard unit where my small puppy is often hanging out, and they steal things off my patio. Security should be a top priority given the location and the price point we pay to live in the community. It is worth paying an extra few hundred dollars a month to live in a secure community. Alta has yet to hire security despite my several complaints and complaints of others, in addition to faulty doors that do not shut behind residents. This building is simply not secure, nor does it seem like a priority for the owners or management company. Overall very disappointed.

You will only receive 30% of your packages. New staff is nice, and helpful, but I would think that after packages keep coming up missing, staff would have an answer besides “that sucks, we will keep an eye out!”. Like maybe “we are going to talk to the USPS guy and speak to manager about getting someone new” or maybe “we are going to take a look at our processes and what we could do different so this doesn’t happen” or “we know this is an issue, we are working with USPS to figure out why packages are having issues getting to their destinations” it’s a shame that after 3 packages in 6 months (just me, not counting my roommates other 2 apiece) all you ever get is a shrug. Also, the gym is absolutely awful for a building of this size, and their coffee machine is locked away till 10am when they come in, so don’t think you’re gonna be able to grab a coffee on the way to work.Edit: To be fair to City House, of the 3 packages, only 1 was truly their fault in that they mishandled it. They lost it in the back and were adamant they didn’t have it. After arguing with Nike for a while, they finally agreed to send me a new one. The day that the 2nd NikePackage came, City House informed me that they happened to find the other package. Which meant I had to drive to the Nike store and return the second package to not get double charged. But I still hold them accountable because they are the conduit that I get my packages. There is a breakdown in how USPS/Amazon/UPS/Fedex deal with this address, and I would hope that after repeated issues came up, City House would take it upon themselves to figure out why this is happening and alleviate the issue for their renters.I love the place, the staff is friendly and nice and prompt, but all my packages will be sent across the street to a friend who lives at Alara because I cannot risk an important package going missing into the void.

Ive had only positive experiences here at Alta City House. I have seen maintenance working endlessly on the projects around the building including door latches and doors that haven been broken. Management has listened to us residents and hired a security company that regularly patrolls the hallways and the grounds. I have witnessed the office staff and maintenance staff be verbally abused and they have handled it with only kindess. I am sure the gentleman who left the previous review is one of the individuals who verbally abuses the staff given his review. Any need, package or maintenance request has been met promptly with a smile, nice attitude and kindness. Keep in mind this is downtown living and you may run into a homeless person or two but anytime I have brought my concern to management it has been addressed. I would strongly recommend Alta City House to anyone who is currently looking for a new place to call home.

If you’re looking for a place to live in Denver, don’t waste your time here. I’ve lived in this area for the past two and a half years, and slowly but surely, this complex has been becoming one of the most challenging places to live.If you’re over by the left side of the building on 19th, and you don’t want to be, you’re going to be right next to the most horrid sound of metal grinding against metal thanks to the train system that doesn’t feel the need to fix the ungodly sound. I honestly don’t know how the other neighbors keep sane from the noise. There’s also so much construction noise in the mornings, it’s too much.If you’re over by the right on 18th, yeah it’s a bit better, with Union Station and Whole Foods being a quick walk, but that’s about it. Before all these brand new constructed apartment buildings came up, the pool area was probably the most poppin’ place in the complex, with all around sun from 10am to at least 5, maybe 6 in the afternoon. Since the completion of these brand new apartments, you at least get sun from 10-1 if you’re lucky. Some other side notes:- “Gated” community. Had a friends bike stolen from the parking garage. Also, accidentally left my back door car open by accident one night, however, in the safe and sound gated parking garage. Woke up the next day with certain items of my car stolen and trashed.- Neighbors can be inconsiderate and loud sometimes.- Management used to be a bit more personable back in the day, despite the fact that they got bought out by new management, which says a lot about how bad this place truly got.I would say the only positive would be that it’s a dog friendly environment. That’s about it.

By far the worst experience ever. We were some of the first to move in and decided to terminate our lease early. We had multiple times where construction workers or vendors of theirs just walked into our home. They had to change our locks finally because they clearly didnt have control. Our leasing agent lied to us about multiple things. Then, to make it worse, when we left they tried to charge us over $250 for a parking pass we never checked out. When I asked their office manager Suzanne for our signature on a log, she could never give that to us. After months of back and forth and it never being resolved, we get two collection notices for the total amount. What a scam. Now I had to hire an attorney and go fight the collections thing that they could never supply documentation for... probably because we didnt check one out. STAY FAR AWAY. Suzanne is a list and if they choose to have her represent them they should be ashamed. Karma will get them into the end.

Have barely lived there and already experiencing problems. When you rent an apartment, especially at a meager rent/sf price point, you expect everything else to make up for it. This hasnt been the case. Our place was dirty. The stove looked like it was just used and the cabinets and other surfaces in the place had dust and smudges, not to mention crumbs within. The $300 in admin and apps fees surely would cover basic cleaning. Nope. And for a relatively newer place (2015) there were dents and cracks throughout the lower level of the townhome. And whatever touch up painting they did, there was noticeable areas where a place that desperately needed painting wasnt covered. Not to mention the random paint stains on the carpet or a giant crack exposing the base material. We werent allowed to view a townhome prior to leasing, just a one-level model. Not sure if thats standard but it makes sense why they wouldnt since the townhomes are pretty tiny. The management is extremely unresponsive. We could never get a hold of them in the interest and application process. When we did hear back, it was often days to a week. Heard from other people considering leasing there that they could never get a hold of them to tour the place. One, because managers were hardly there during listed hours. And two, no one returned their calls. We, to this day, have yet to have someone pickup the phone, and may have gotten one phone call returned over dozens and dozens of calls. Completely unprofessional. The market was weak on 3BRs so we had little choice.Other things of note, theres a mandatory $25/month valet trash fee (edit: + a $6 reimbursement fee?), which is kind of senseless to not include with rent. But with other things, they try to nickle and dime you and dont tell you these things (or you find out yourself) until later on in the application process. As mentioned in a review a while back, the FOB for the main entrance doesnt work, which is pretty crazy. The gym is pretty small which is little weird for such a large complex. The location is great, with it being close to grocery stores, Union Station etc. The lounge, business center, conference room are all really nice and Ive used that as a second place type thing to get work done, so thats definitely a plus. Updated 2 to 3 stars.

Recently, there has been a change in staff and its all been going downhill quickly. There is only one person working the entire office with no help. I also never see the manager.Because they are so short staffed, they never respond to any requests or emails unless you go to the office in person and make sure things get done right then and there. If you somehow never need to interact with the office staff, this is a great place to live.Other negatives:- Typical maintenance request response is about a week- They randomly unplugged our internet service line in the office, causing us to have CenturyLink come and find the issue.- Overall community appearance has declined. There are fountains that are broken, clogged storm drains in the stairwells, broken gates, and a garage door that keeps breaking- Ive gotten parking tickets because they switched parking systems (for the second time) and have no idea how to use it.

From Yelp:Moved here with my girlfriend and our new roommate at the end of August 15. We had looked at several similar properties around different Denver neighborhoods. The leasing staff here helped secure our decision. Chelsea, Steven, PJ and Suzanne were all lovely to deal with and ultimately were the icing on the cake. The location is great for us, its just over the bridge from the railyard dog park - and theres a dog run out back if your dog is into that... Super close to the free mall ride and Light Rail, walking distance to Union Station, Coors Field, Commons Park and LoHi.Its also just removed enough from Brodo & Union Station that the party rarely follows you home after last call. Same goes for homeless people - maybe not PC, but true. Not a lot of street activity going on around our block which means less reason for people to be harassed on the street. Obviously, this will never always be the case, especially with all the new buildings being built, but so far we havent been bothered. Our apartment had never been lived in and any time we had any issue with our appliances (mostly lightbulbs going out) the maintenance staff always responded within 48 hrs. They also helped us locate studs to hang our TV, and helped setup our bluetooth audio receiver. The pool/jacuzzi is incredible and gets sun from around 10-5. Its a great place to meet residents and weve made some incredible friends there, as well as during the other activities the building puts on. The clubhouse, courtyard, roof deck, workout room - all in great shape and perfect for their respective purposes. The bike room didnt have a bike pump (because some jerk stole the last one), we put in a request for a new pump, and the staff got one installed. The team here is incredibly nice and accommodating. We plan on staying here, no reason to move.
