Im a very new tenant, only a week+. So far, everything is just fine with me. After touring a number of apartment developments, and being lied to by all of them, it was such a pleasure with Rosa. I like the retro look of the buildings, and my 1 Bed apartment is just the right size for me, and I appreciate the generous storage areas. I like this neighborhood, moved here from Englewood. All of the neighbors Ive met here have been friendly, considerate, welcoming and no crazy folks so far. Cant say enough nice about Rosa, she is very friendly, competent, and seems to work very hard. Kudos for hiring her.

I moved in about 8 months ago. Although the apartment staff is friendly, there is a HUGE roach infestation. What’s worse, the property knows about it but will not make an effort to fix it..When brought up to management, the response was “every apartment has problems”....The roaches have been a problem since the week I moved in.

Asbury Plaza is my first apartment. Initially during the leasing process, there was some miscommunication, HOWEVER, Rosa has been candid and honest which makes all the difference. As the new leasing agent, I am very proud of Rosa’s initiative to get the place back in order from the last agent.When I first moved in, there were roaches. After NEVER having roaches in my entire life and explaining the health concerns it posed, Rosa was VERY vigilant in getting the extermination and getting things right. With Rosa, if you have an issue and you’re just as vigilant, she does what she can in her reasonable power to make sure things are right. I’ve watched too much Judge Judy all my life to be an ignorant tenant; this makes all the difference when requesting/negotiating with a leasing agent. Rosa is VERY knowledgeable about leasing and conducting business. When it came to the pests, she acknowledged her own gaps in understanding and ACTIVELY sought to deal with the issue comprehensively.As a tenant, I am doing what’s in my power to not attract them (boric acid, home defense, being cleanly in general), and Rosa has been making it so all those efforts don’t go to waste.Asbury is not perfect because nothing is, but because of the management, it makes a strong statement in how issues are managed and THATS what makes the difference and THATS what makes Asbury a 4/5. Rosa is working her butt off to get this place in order. She may need more staff and patience from other tenants, but she is good on her word as far as I’m concerned.

We love our apartment and the neighborhood! Best apartment Ive ever lived in, and to top it off the property manager and the maintenance man are kind, understanding, and a pleasure to be around! Glad to call Asbury Plaza my home

The new management is so good. She has been here only for a week and has helped so much. She is a good person and a good manager. I know she will make the necessary changes.

They were better before. Nowadays more and more bad more expensive. And the manayer is a rude impotent. I have three cars and I have to play for the fall. But they dont even have staff. Yesterday bi as a friend fell for the snow that does not clean I have children. And if you support me. But they charge if they are good but bad things. They dont see them

The new manager is very helpful. She is always on time.Treat my kids nice and say hi to them. All the residents like her.

Rosa has been great! She has been on top of everything and so nice. The property is nice as well and a great price.

I recently moved to Asbury Plaza a month ago and I am very pleased with the management there. The staff is very attentive to your needs. It is in a great neighborhood and the neighbors are very friendly. They have a cleaning crew that comes twice a week to clean the building which is very impressive.

Outstanding management. Great services. Yahaira is a great manager. I love my apartment. Spacious, great location, good scenery, nice roof addition. I turn in work orders and there very responsive and quick to get it done! I would definitely recommend having an apartment here!

I made the mistake of moving in here in February. From day one, I was seeing roaches in my apartment and in the hall. My tub backs up at least once a week with 6 inches of dirty water from one of the neighbors drains. We had the police out here a few weeks ago because a resident heard a gun shot. The doors to the building are either broken or constantly propped open.But hey, they had free pizza at resident appreciation day, thus the great reviews within the past couple days.Look at older reviews and you will see there has been an ongoing roach problem. Funny thing is when the pest control team arrived yesterday they mentioned an issue with mice in one of the other buildings. Fancy that?Management office is professional and quick to respond. All my maintenance requests have been addressed, but this building is old as hell and the issues keep coming up. If you want to spend every Sunday pulling everything out of your kitchen and bathroom to prep for ineffective pest control, this is the place!

No recommend. I’ve been living here for 6 months and the management haven’t fix the heat and don’t do anything also my door was broken they took it to “fix it” and it’s no back yet.

This place has roaches and is not very clean. People that live here are very messy and leave trash in and outside of the apartments. Before I had signed the lease I had asked if they had any issues with roaches specifically and I was told NO. Clearly that was a lie. Within the first week of moving in a saw a roach, they would not let me out of the lease. These photos are only some of the MANY roaches I have seen. They have came to spray and nothing has improved. The water here has came out brown multiple times from all faucets! Very nasty. Aside from the bugs, management has been somewhat helpful specifically Robert. There is very few parking spots available if not any, I pay $60 for a carport monthly. Washers and dryers are not the best. Washer is very small and dryer doesn’t dry clothes thoroughly, and it is very costly. I wouldn’t recommend these apartments to anyone.

Diverse neighbors = 5 stars. Roaches = 0. Its affordable with four people in a two bedroom. The neighborhood is great, very peaceful and close to the lightrail, library, and school.

I have been living here for 5 years, but about a year ago the administration changed, it was ok, and then a month after that they changed again, now i have been complaining about some stuff that needs to be fixed in my apartment and no one has done nothing about it, about a month ago they came and “fixed” my heater, but one of the rooms its still on even with the thermostat off. I already complained 3 times and they haven’t it fixed yet. Its a pretty quiet apartment complex, but its all messed up with the parking, some people have lets say 4 cars and they all park inside, and people that has 2 cars cant even park inside. They said they are going to keep track on all the cars that park here, but its still the same unknown cars often come here and park inside(these people dont live here). One more thing, its getting pretty expensive to live here and its not worth it because of lack of maintenance. covered car ports are expensive as well ($60/month). Unprofessional work when fixing stuff, left wires showing.

I have lived here for a year now and I am counting the days until I leave. I have the worst neighbors ever- the people who live across from me are literally drug dealers and blast music all hours of the day. This is not a place for getting peace and quiet and if youre trying to study, make friends at the nearest Starbucks because you will not be able to concentrate with all the noise. The walls are so thin, I can hear my other neighbors just listening to the radio. People in other buildings leave their windows open so the whole world can hear them fighting and in tons of different languages so its not even entertaining. They will spray your apartment for free to get rid of the roaches, but no matter how clean you are they keep coming back. I even found one in my bed once. Overall this place is a nightmare. Oh and my brand new car got keyed. Management seems to do what they can but honestly this place should be quarantined. No A/C either.

I was living there 3 years ago the worst place I had ever lived in, roaches everywhere infested with bedbugs,so dirty trash everywhere,the worst managment ever seen I heard gunshots many times. This place is a terrifying nightmare

Do not, I repeat, do not move here! Such horrible living conditions! Moved here in July, site unseen. Ready to get out! Bugs, loud neighbors, trash EVERYWHERE and management says they’re trying to change but nothing has happened! Don’t believe the lies they tell you and go somewhere else! If I could give zero stars I would!

Just moved in, I needed a place to stay ASAP, the manager worked with me and had me in within a day. Very quit here, loving it so far...

Horrible cockroach infestation. I had pest control come to my apartment 10 different times in a matter of my 1 year stay and offered no solution. The management has no idea what theyre doing and will lie to your face and tell you that your apartment is cockroach free even when you show them traps full of them. Absolutely disgusting place to live stay away.

I like living at Asbury Plaza it has been almost 4 years I have had great experiences with management.

I would give this place negative stars if I could.What can I say? COCKROACHES EVERYWHERE! bed bugs as well. No matter how many times they spray your unit, these bugs just keep coming back. If you want to save yourself a living nightmare then stay away from this place!!!

Worst place that I lived at so far!!!!!!Roaches are everywhere and also bed bugs. Worst management I’ve dealt with. Very unprofessional. Overall horrible experience. I will not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Do not rent here!!!!!!!!!!

Bugs!! Bugs!! Bugs!! From bed bugs to roachs they run this place. These apartments are not worth the money. The small one bedroom I lived in was not worth the $1,000 they charged me. Especially when the washer and dryers dont work too well, the bug infestations, the unprofessionalism of the office workers as well as the maintenance workers. No one in my building spoke english, but with the walls being paper thin it wasnt too hard to understand that my neighbors down the hall routinely beat their children!! Speaking of children the neighborhood kids run around like gangs being as bad as they possibly can be because they never, ever have any adult supervision... ever. Aside from the amazing closet space, this place is a total dump!! I highly recommend staying as far away from the Asbury Plaza Apartments as possible!! **thumbs down**

I have been here for 3 years now and cannot complain management and maintenance stays on top of things I love my home :)
