Came here with my friend and they did an incredible job and took their time with our nails even after they closed. Only reason why I gave a 4 is because on the phone when I called ahead of time a lady told me gel manicure is $30. Then I got a design (stickers - which she only told me was $15 after). But the total came out to $60. So I called after and they told me gel manicure is actually $35 and additionally it’s $5 because I had long nails and $5 for the shape, which I think is extremely pricey and wish they gave me accurate info before I came in. But if that’s fine with you and you’re willing to pay I recommend! Just make sure you ask about everything beforehand so you know what you’re going to pay.

I was nervous to try this place for a simple dip powder removal and regular polish color based on the reviews. The reviews were right. The service is messy and they don’t pay attention to detail. The color was splotchy and uneven, especially around the edges. I think my 10 year old could have done a better job. They never used a base polish on my nails either, and then the technician lied and said that they did when pointed out. Very unprofessional.

I’m so disappointed. I’ve gone here for years and always had a pleasant experience. Today I brought a friend and had such a disappointing experience I felt I needed to share it.First we arrived and were quoted a 20 minute wait which is understandable. About an hour later we were called for our manicure and pedicure. At this point I wasn’t upset because I understand they were busy.My frustration comes from the fact that I got a “design” on my nails and was charged an extra $20 at checkout without any notification beforehand. I asked for one line of a different color on my dip nails. One line. $20? If I would have been informed, I would have done without it!At checkout I was just told ya that should have been told to you. Nothing else.I guess that $20 was more important than a repeat customer.

I WOULD NOT ADVISE THIS PLACE TO MY WORST ENEMY!!! Unprofessional is an understatement this place scammed me charging me $70 for acrylic nails when everyone knows that acrylic nails are always cheaper than dip powder. They charged me prices that were not listed anywhere on their price list I do not take kindly to being discriminated against I am deeply disappointed and their practices I really believe that the BBB should look into this place I am almost 100% sure that they are not up to par on their licenses

I got my nails done about six hours ago, and the nail on my middle finger has already broken.the set after they were done looked beautiful, but the application job has usually always had something wrong every time i go.

Really wanted to like this place bc it’s so close to me but it’s the worst. They use the cheapest materials. Every manicure I’ve gotten, I have broken nails just 1-2 days later and I got tired of them fixing them. I drive all the way to Rowlett now and each time my nails last 3 weeks without a single break or chip and they are NICE, unlike here.

Poor quality, my gel polish was lumpy so I had to go back and get it redone. Within a day I noticed chips and spots where the nail had not been painted, within the week the nails became discolored and started peeling. Not worth the $50.

I would not recommend this spa. I came in for a manicure and pedicure on last Thursday. The pedicure was great but the manicurist butchered my cuticles. He constantly ran over them with a drill and cut them back to the point where 6 out of my 10 fingers were bleeding. I paid $127 USD for this service. Do not waste your money here! ❌‼️‼️

Very upset with my service today. It was not worth my $150. I was not offered A beverage. I was told one price and when I checked out I was told a different price. I was forced to buy a face shield when I had my own N95 mask, no one asked me if I wanted to buy it she just made me put it on and I was charged at the end. Also I did not get what I asked for. I don’t mind spending the money when I’m satisfied with the product. The place is nice but it’s not worth your money!!!

Overall this place was great. My girl (Tiffany) was a bit aggressive on the cuticle trimming so I had some pain and bleeding on my thumb. Its wasnt bad though. The hand/arm massage was firm (I like that) but only about 30 seconds long total and she forgot my left hand all together. Lame. The gel mani turned out great and I liked the atmosphere. I would go again but Id want to try another technician.

Went in for a fill w/gel polish and toe polish change. The lady was nice and did a good job on my toes. My nails were horrible, didnt realize until I got home that there were humps on my nails. Went back the following day and they were fixed but within a day the polish was chipping and within the week it started peeling. Not worth the additional $25 I paid for gel polish service. I like this place but very disappointed in the quality of the quality of the service I received.

Poor communication and poor service. The nail tech, Tiffany, performed the dip. Of this service, I asked if my previous nails could be dipped in acetone prior to machine sanding. She said no. She then proceeded to sand off the the top layer of the old polish, some of the color layers, and the machine went into my nail bed. There is damage to three nails because of this neglect. Of the dip service, she dipped my nails in the powder five times, not the usual three. When I exclaimed that was too much, and I did not want thick nails, she said the powder I chose was not shiny. Because of this, she stated she needed to apply many layers. She had to use the machine to pull off more than half of the layers she applied because I wanted thin polish. On one nail, she had to re-apply the top coat four times because dust debris kept getting in the top coat. She nearly concluded our time together by saying I was ready to go, when I still had polish on my cuticles and skin around my nails. When I asked if she would remove, she then proceeded to attempt to use a non-sanitized cuticle cutter. When I told her that I did not want a cuticle cutter that had not been sanitized, she then used a metal nail pick with cotton wrapped around the tip. She keep pushing to use the cuticle cutter, twice, even though I had expressed, a clear no. I walked out with dust in the top coat of the one nail, and two completely different thumb nail shapes (one is square and another is round). The polish on two nails has see-thru spots on the tips on one side. My visit was 1.5 hours long instead of about 40-45 minutes. I had about a 2 minute wait time. I had such a miserable experience with this nail tech that I will not return. She should have communicated to me if I wanted thin nails and then advised me to select a different brand of powder PRIOR to putting on powder.

I loved the work I got done, but it just didn’t last. I got my nails done Tuesday and the first nail broke off on Friday. It’s Monday, 6 days later, and I have 5 nails that are already broken. I paid $70 for a brand new set, which is already absurd considering it’s 30 mins of work, but then for them not to last even a fullWeek, I’m disappointed. I don’t mind spending money for my nails, I would just like for them to last at least a week! Just don’t think it’s worth the money...

They dont serve wine anymore. Wont be back!!!! Go to Luxx nail spa instead...clean, smells good, have wine and the best manicures.

This was my first time here I live down the road from this place only reason I came because I didn’t feel like driving to my regular place near my job like 25 minutes away anyway the place was nice and clean looking and smelled really nice and my nails turned out pretty only reason for 3 stars however they will charge an extra $5 without telling you.. I ask what was the price for a full acrylic set and was told 35 .. cool the lady who did my nails was rough with the filing tool I asked her if she could not file so much and lower the motor power....she advises she has to be a little rough so the powder can stick ...: I just said more gentle please... but overall her handling my nails were rough and now ( hours later)my nails are sore and had to put ice on them. Oh yes when I got to the desk to pay I end up paying an extra $10 for a shape and for the length they said.. which is not really that long... something she could have asked me while I was getting my nails done. I was told one price and paid another which was kinda annoying. Next time I’ll just stick to my regular place and not come back here... not for me personally.

I JUST left and my first impression of Venetian Nail was AMAZING! I came right at opening and was greeted by super friendly front desk staff. I asked about their nail extension options and she went through a short list, and I decided on a full set of dip with tips. They handed me a HUGE box full of their powder options. It was mildly overwhelming for someone as indecisive as myself but I made two excellent picks. I asked Tammy, my nail tech, on her opinions of both colors and which shape we thought would be best. We settled on coffin and she got to work. I was taking a chance because my last couple dip jobs were not great. Tammy paid AMAZING attention to detail! No bumps, no nicks, uniform thinness, perfect shape, AND she took care of my cuticles for me without my having to ask or pay extra! I can’t wait to go back!

I moved to Dallas and started going to Venetian Nail Spa right by my house. I noticed a lot of discrimination is this nail salon multiple times. As a young black girl, I noticed that when I came in to get my nails done, no one offered me anything to drink, whether its water, wine, soda, etc. When the white woman came to get their nails done, they were catered to. They immediately asked them all what they wanted to drink. The staff and the manager is rude as well. Prices are expensive and never consistent each time I go. I will not be going back here again.

This place looks amazing and the service is amazing, the price is a little high. It was totally worth the money.

I went to another nail salon the same day and waited 25 minutes past my appointment for a service I knew would be rushed and sloppy because I didnt know of another place. During my wait I asked a friend where she went and I immediately left and went to Venetian and never looked back. This place smells AMAZING. Like white tea and lemon. Not like acetone. Their staff is so friendly and they take their time and do a fantastic job. I feel so relaxed and rejuvenated. I will never go back to my usual place. Venetian is my new nail salon! :)

Gwen does amazing acrylic/dip nails that have lasted well! The pedicure I received from Anthony was amazing as well.However, I highly recommend against their eye lash extensions. I paid $155 for a full set (which is well above the market rate), and received cluster lashes that fell out VERY quickly. I have paid $80 for a full set of the good single lash extensions elsewhere and they lasted significantly longer. I called and spoke to the manager- who was nice and gave me a free refill. But honestly the refill fell out extremely quick as well. I have gotten lash extensions many times before and am very familiar with the upkeep so truthfully I dont think they fell out quickly due to my activities.

3 stars for cleanliness, presentation and service. Their prices for dip powder nails is higher than other places and I broke a nail like a day after I got them done. When I returned they almost made me pay for them to fix.

Gwen is a gem and the best ever. I have to say I’m really picky and I’ve had a hard time finding good nail tech but her ombré is just PERFECT. She takes her time and she’s always very sweet. I’m very very satisfied with the service. Thumbs up for Gwen and for Venetian.

Ive come here twice because its close to my house but I will never come again. I never leave reviews, but this last service was just terrible. I asked for a pedi and gel nails. I paid extra for an upgraded pedicure... It was horrible due to the fact that the nail tech Tiffany insisted doing my nails at the same time. Instead of moving her chair, she had me twist and bend to meet her - I had to sit for 45 mins with a twisted and bent back. Then I told her not to cut my nails bc I am growing them out. She filed them down as low as possible - I am pretty upset bc Ive been growing my nails for months now. They are also not even, I could have filed better. Lastly I picked a color that was available in both gel and regular so my toes/hands would match. They didnt tell me until my hands were already done that they didnt have the match. I basically overpaid to sit very uncomfortably and get mismatch uneven nails.

Nail tech: Lesley she was awesome!.. Very clean. Staff are all nice & polite. Very calm & relaxing place. My first time & most definitely will be going back again. Highly recommend this nail shop.

Venue is very clean. Staff is professional - there was no side conversation. Staff did their work quietly. I did not need to wait, though I did make an appointment. Work is detailed, precise, and done in a careful manner. They were not rushed. Refreshments are provided if needed. Would highly recommend this place.

All that glitters is not gold. My sweet co worker Tessa had spoken highly of this Nail Spa for the last few months. Last Friday 07/27 i decided to check out this Nail Spa.I called on 07/26 to schedule my appointment with Gwen as recommended by my co worker Tessa. I also scheduled an appointment for my co worker Tessa so we could go together to the Nail Spa.Gwen was great, has exceptional customer service and i loved my nails. When my nails were done, i went to pay and the girl at the front desk run my credit card for $55 and i paid a $10 tip for a great service thanks to Gwen.Lo and Behold while looking at my bank statement today 08/01 Venetian charged $100 to my credit card. Why did they run $100 on my credit card without my consent? I called the Nail Spa and they told me they had no way to contact me to tell me i was undercharged when i came in last Friday 07/27.How is this possible? Apparently i was undercharged for my the services rendered. So they took it upon themselves to charge $100 and zero courtesy to call me and update me of the changes.When i called on 07/26 to secure my appointment i was asked my names and Phone number which i happily provided. What did the Nail Spa do with that information? They could have used that information i provided to secure my appointment to call me and update me of this new charges to my cardThis was my first and last visit to this Spa. When i called today to find out why they charged the $100 the girl on the phone did not offer an apology first for running my card without my consentAll she cared to tell me that i was under charged and how they had to take out $100 from my card. I was arguing my case with her on the lack of customer service . She did not care to apologize for running my credit card without consentThe apology came but as a by the way much later in the conversation.Gwen if you ever read this. You did an amazing job with my nails, i wish you well with Dental School.Venetian Nail Spa Management, better pull up your socks with training the front desk staff the one who worked that desk on 07/27 when i came in for my 1:30 pm appointment. Customer Service at this point is appalling. I was a walk in at 10am on a Friday and I was immediately greeted by a host. I was just coming in for a quick mani/pedi and wasn’t expecting much. They did both my nails and feet at the same time so it saved me time as well as I had a great experience overall. Excellently friendly staff and excellent job. I will definitely be returning for further service.10/10

They didn’t listen to my wife at all and pressure very hard for upcharges and refuse to do what you ask for. They insulted my wife and got wax stuck in her wedding rings. Will never be back.

I usually love this place. However, this visit, I got cut, not once but twice with the rotary tool. She then proceeded with the manicure (which included acetone getting into these brand new wounds).I really like this salon and my nails always look great but this was not desirable.Update: after only 1 week, my dip nails have broken and cracked. They are my normal shape and length and I haven’t been doing anything out of the ordinary. I will be looking for anew salon after this

Worst place ever. The receptionist (the one with a ton of acne... I believe her name is Lane) was so rude. She was loudly complaining about me being a few minutes late to other customers, giving dirty looks, and rolling her eyes. The manager told me the service would take 30 minutes and booked me accordingly, then the technician told me it would take over an hour. He and the manager got in a verbal altercation at this point and he got fired on the spot, leaving no one to complete my service. Then the manager asked me to come back the next day but refused to offer any kind of accommodation due to the poor experience. Do not go here!!!

I am disappointed by the quality of Venetian. I live right next door and haven’t been in yet, but today I ventured in. The front desk girl was pleasant, asked for my name and which services I would like. She then handed me two baskets of color— one for dip and one for gel for my toes. Picked those out, good to go.Next, I headed to the pedicure chair. Because of the beautiful (more on that later) decoration, I assumed it would be as luxurious as the name suggests. Wrong. There was a pink sticky substance on all of the cupholders. The seat itself was missing padding, and the massage function only worked on the top 1/4 of the seat back.The girls who did my nails were nice enough, but there’s an uneasiness that comes from having one person work on your feet and another work on your hands while they speak to each other in a language you don’t understand. Look, I get it, I like to talk to coworkers too, but it makes people feel self conscious. This is a pretty well known customer service factor.I didn’t get to enjoy my pedicure because I was uncomfortable and someone was tugging my hands around. The end result was fine, but my nails have an uneven shape that I don’t love. My dip nails are the worst I’ve ever had. They are thick and the shape doesn’t match.The girl who did them asked me if I wanted rounded-square. I said no, round-oval or oval if you can. She said ok. I left with round-square to square.No one at the front desk asked me how it was. They just ushered me out to move on. So far from luxury it was laughable.There seemed to be other women around me who were regulars that were enjoying their experience. Regular nail techs, fun conversation, etc. I’m glad they enjoyed it, and I hope their quality is better. I will not be back, but it’s not the absolute worst place I’ve been.

Very professional and stream-lined experience. Lady at the front desk could have been a bit more welcoming and friendly, but thats the only minor drawback. I wonder if she wasnt as bubbly due to my appearance (its a bad EVERYTHING day). In any case, the nail techs all wear black and the overall aesthetic is very well-thought and it feels like a better experience than your average nail spa. Lesly (I believe thats how it was spelled on her badge) is VERY meticulous-- just the way I like it. I left feeling like I got my moneys worth. Ill come back and try not to look poor next time. Well see if the lady at the front is nicer to me. 😀

Then I asked for the manager and when the mgr asked what was wrong, the cashier said “she’s crazy”. What in the world is wrong with this employee?? The place was almost empty and she tried to justify her behavior saying that there was a lot going on at the time. 1. NO, the place was probably at 1/4 capacity. 2. That is NOT the customers’ problem, you have to give great customer service and not ask for customers to understand you are busy. That’s YOUR job!!

I get my nails done here a lot and Ive never had a problem before, but boy oh boy did I have a problem today. Never mind that my manicure was slipshod and lazy, and that I have marks in my nails because the girl doing them didnt bother to let them dry before she wiped them down. No, my main problem is that I got a gel pedi, which involves plugging in a UV light. I asked TWICE to have the water drained before we started and she straight up REFUSED. So I got to spend fifteen minutes with an electrical device precariously perched above a full tub of water planning to duck and roll in case something sent the light plunging into the water to electrocute us both. I wouldve complained, but since no one bothered to ask how my service was, I will content myself with leaving this review and finding a less dangerous place to get my nails done.

I tried this place 3 times and each time I was disappointed. It seemed as though the nail techs are inexperienced or not trained well with new techniques. My “coffin” shape is horrible and she laid on the top coat of the gel polish SO thick you can see it on the edges. For 55$+ tip, not worth it. I could have gone to a cheap hole in the wall and received better service. Front desk is not very welcoming... I am very disappointed in the place.

I came in last week for a simple manicure. Holly was my technician. I told her only cut the cuticles that were sticking up. She nodded her head and continued to cut so much skin around my nails. Now I am in so much pain, my hands are all torn up and I am pissed. DONT GO TO HOLLY, if you do go to her dont expect to give her any direction.

I met my girlfriend here a year ago. I sat down with her since we were meeting to get our nails dome and catch up. The first thing the tech did was point out my friends engagement ring which took away from the special moment of friend sharing it with me for the first time.

This is the most horendous nail service ive experienced !Kaydies was doing my nails and she speaks fluent english to understand what i want but however her work is messy and not beat! I asked for manager, she came and asked me what i was looking for snd that she would find anither nail tech to finish the work.I sat and wsited another 15 mins just for her to call security and ask me to meave because she said i was being rude. She was not in denial that my nails were not neat and clean, which is why she dodnt even charge me .The point of the matter is all the vietmanese ladies in there dont speak a spit of english and its hard trying to communicate effectively during a service.Then the lady doing my pedi didnt understand how to do french?? ! Are you kidding.I walked iut if there with one foot done and messy nails.Will never return and do not reccomend .Wine is also not good.

Coming from a horrible experience at a salon on Montfort Rd. The young girl did an impeccable job on my nails. She did a polish change that looked like a pedicure. My dip nails were brillant. Beautiful and elegant atmosphere...its pricey but worth it.

Good quality work most of time, but the front staff is not very attentive when it comes to wait times. the last 3 times i’ve come, ive been told either over the phone prior to coming in or when i checked in that wait times are none or a few minutes. each time i’ve ended up waiting over 15 min. it’s not until i threaten to leave that i end up getting a technician. if the wait is a realistic 20 minutes please just communicate that so i can better plan my day

This is the most unprofessional nail experience Ive ever had. First the girl iby tells me she cant do designs on nails and tells me to wait until she gets her co worker. Her ci worker come 30 minutes later only to tell me that they dont have the ombre color i wanted and that it will be close to 100 for a full set needless to say i walled out and will never return. Yall can have that. I would much rather go where my TIME is appreciated

I got tips done on Friday night, by Sunday morning both thumb nails had cracked down the middle. I didnt hit them or do anything extraneous to cause them to break. By Wednesday, my pointer finger broke in half. Lets just say the $88 I spent on a pedi and mani were definitely not worth it. I wont be back.

My nails were shorter than usual and not done the way I wanted them. She then said sorry your nail lady should have told you the length would be extra and the almond shape is extra. Clearly these people want to get your money no matter what you do. I said no, my nails arent long, whats the point of charging for a full set and then the length and then the shape?! Any shorter and you would be working with my actual nail. So pointless. She gave me a discount of a whole $5, god knows what I wouldve done if I didnt save 5 dollars that night, gosh she really did me a favor. Sorry, Venetian, dont quote me one thing and charge me another and make up excuses for random charges, and dont blame your techs for not letting me know, it looks bad on your part. Never coming back.

I was just in the area shopping and needed a mani/pedi I chose this location because of the reviews.Karen did my dipped nails and was kind and was a true a nail consultant and a person who takes her craft seriously.Tiffany did my pedicure. She too was was a woman who took her craft seriously, she took customer service to a whole new level! Asking me repeatedly if I was okay and although I was over due for a pedicure just kept scrubbing my feet saying Tiffany will make better and Are you okay?I got both my mani and pedi done at the same time and there was no talk between the ladies at all they were tuned in to me and my service e the ENTIRE time.I live over 40 miles outside of Dallas. I will drive back just for the two ladies.
