I just moved to Texas and am so fortunate to have found this vet who is close to our new home. Before I was able to take him for his first appointment, my dog had something wrong with his eye. They were able to get him in within 36 hours. When I arrived, they were so friendly, easily took my previous vet records, and took my dog on time for the appointment. Dr. Caraway and the technician (Katie?) were so nice to my dog and I and they explained things as they looked at my dog. Dr. Caraway gave us options and was understanding. I look forward to our well visit in a month and know that they will take good care of my dog in the future.

The place is well kept, the staff are all pleasant and understand the importance of my pets health. My cat needed some tests run and results are ready after only 20 minutes. The prices are not too high either and I am so grateful this place accepts Care Credit.

I have been bringing my elderly dog to North Dallas Veterinary Hospital for a couple of years. Recently my dog began to have difficulty walking so we brought her into the vet. The tech told us she had a really high fever and went to grab the vet. The vet came in took a quick look at our dog (did not listen to her heart or lungs) and stated that she was old and at this point there was nothing more that could be done. Obviously, she is a vet and she knows what she was doing, but it was very disheartening to watch her glance over my otherwise healthy dog and say there is nothing that can be done, and even brought up euthanasia. We had to ask her about her high temperature and possibly doing blood work to which the vet stated she would do that if we wanted to. Once again I realize that as a vet she knows the signs and saw that our dog was in her last stages, but I would have appreciated more compassion, and I expected her to talk to us about other options (i.e. hospice, how to make her more comfortable) and what could be done on that day, and why she didnt think anything else could help.Unfortunately the day came when we had to euthanize our dog. The procedure was completed with my dog on the floor. (This may be standard for all vets, but wasnt a fan). We were trying to make sure our dog could see us in her last moments, which was difficult since it was a small room and she was on the floor. We pretty much had to lay on the floor in front of her to make sure she could see us in her last moments.I will say that the rest of the staff from the techs to the front office were very helpful in answering questions, showing compassion, and helping with schedules.If/when we get another dog I will be looking for a different veterinary clinic.

My old cat Phantom has been taken care of.by North Dallas Veterinary for many years.He developed matting that I just could not eliminate myself.Tori the groomer took wonderful care of him and made him look like king of the household.He is so much happier now and so am I.Thank you for the wonderful care you took to make him happy again.Walt

Great group of doctors and staff. Always caring and gentle with our 16 month old Labrador Molly. Have used this Vet since 2001 and have always received excellent care. Recommend them highly.

Former patient of the clinic & we’ve moved out of town. Back in town & our new dog develops a double ear infection. They were able to get us in same day even though we hadn’t been there in 4 years nor ever seem our new dog. They’re a great clinic with doctors that take the time to explain what’s going on, answer questions, & not rush you. Highly recommend!

Dr Hudson and our vet tech we’re GREAT with Gigi (my 13 week old dachshund). Both were very patient to answer all my questions about vaccines, grooming, and future spay timing. I didn’t feel rushed which I appreciated. It was an added bonus that they do a 10% military and first responders discount.

We use to see Dr. King before he retired, we loved him so much. Now we see Dr. Hudson and we love her just as much! Techs and and all the staff are always so helpful and kind.

I thank Dr. Hudson and her assistant. They were very caring and answered all my queries as a first time pet guardian.They were extremely patient with my curious kitten and myself.I would continue to visit Dr. Hudson for all my upcoming vet visits.

We have trusted the care of our pets for over 20 years and several generations to NDVH .... Dr. Ford and the entire teams of doctors, techs and support staff are always professional, courteous, compassionate and provide 5 star care for all they serve. We have also been regular customers of their Grooming Department since the first day they opened and know that when we pick up our dogs not only are they beautiful but they have been treated kindly. It is so convenient to have our groomer on site with our vet so attention can be given immediately to any issues she may observe. We expect to bring a new puppy into our family in a few weeks and would not consider going anywhere else for veterinary care. I recommend this Hospital to anyone in Dallas that wants excellent care for their pets.

Techs and receptionists are always friendly and caring. Our wait time was especially short. The tech attended to my concerns and was very sweet with my neurotic dog. I recommend NDVH without reservation.

They did a great job on grooming our Wheaten Terroir. She is older yet seemed calmer when we picked her up. Will come back.

I am a very longtime customer of North Dallas Vet. After moving out of state a few years ago, I have twice now needed their services for my Yorkies while visiting family in the Dallas area.This most recent visit was a very last minute request for help with my sick baby. After calling and explaining my pups symptoms, I received an immediate appointment. Dr. Hogan cared for Piper. She came to the car and carefully discussed the care she suggested for her. Then on Saturday night, Dr. Hogan called to check on Piper. I really appreciated her call and concern for my pup. All is well now. Thank you Dr. Hogan for your special care of my baby.

Staff is so incredibly awesome, they all care for your pet as if it were their very own. They have been my Vet for 12 years and I would NEVER consider going anywhere else. The office staff is super friendly and always goes over and above my expectations. I just cant say enough good things about the entire staff.

It is the people who make this practice what it is. People like Erica and Janet who support the vets make the practice shine above and beyond other practices. My opinion of the NDVH begins with calling for an appointment. How friendly and helpful that staff is starts the opinion of the practice. Every link the in chain through the entire experience either builds on the feeling of how well one is treated, or erodes it.. I believe all the vets have a vested interest in customer service, but it is the support staff who put NDVH in a superior position. Friendliness, demonstrations of affection for animals, closing the loop on questions/concerns, etc. I am extremely happy with NDVH.

I have had an amazing experience here. I only obviously come here when I am having an emergency experience with one of my pets. I come here in a time of need. They have taken great care of my animals and always kept me informed and in the loop. I recommend that others come here who want honest updates on the situations and accurate plans to get pets healthy again!

The absolute worst vet I have ever been to, overpriced no customer service skills . Please treat your animal right and choose a different vet. Went to get 2 shots and was totally up sold to the tune of almost 300.00 ripped off once but it will not happen again. I would not recommend this vet to an enemy let alone a friend

Dr. Ford was great with our new puppy. He had some great suggestions on puppy training and our puppy had her first full night in the crate without crying and/or resistance. Dr. Ford was excellent at explaining things and showed a sincere interest in the love and care of our new little family member. Our experience at North Dallas Veterinary Hospital was great.

Our dog is always excited to get her hair done and looks amazing when we get her. Curbside is a bit of a wait but reasonable considering the pandemic and necessary precautions.

It is a very good place to bring your cat. Everyone was very helpful and friendly.

I love this place. I do think they are expensive for checkups and shots, etc. The grooming dept. is awesome! No one can handle Goldie but Tori. Everyone there is so nice and receptive all the time. I have never heard one disgruntled person, ever! And thats saying something!

Every single person from the front office staff, to the veterinary technicians, to the veterinarians, and to the groomers is friendly and the thing that shines through is their love of animals. I feel they are honest, and have never once felt like I’ve been up sold some product or service that was not needed. I trust North Dallas Veterinary Hospital with all my pets needs.

North Dallas Veterinary Hospital has the most caring and most knowledgeable staff we have ever encountered. We initially came to see them for a second opinion a few years ago - that opinion saved us from putting our dog through an unnecessary (and expensive!) surgery that was misdiagnosed. Since then, they have made time for us in last-minute emergencies, followed up with us diligently, ensured that our questions were answered and that we were comfortable with treatments, and even coordinated with us for care outside of their facility. I cannot praise this business enough. The entire staff is extremely understanding and truly care that our babies are in great health. They are AMAZING and we highly, highly recommend calling them if you are looking for the best!!

My poor baby was dying with cancer, I tried to reach someone to help ease her out of her pain, but all I got was a answering machine that gave me your hours of operation and a message that said please leave a message and someone will call you back at our earliest convenience. I had to find a 24hr clinic and take her to some unknown place where she died on a table in cold strange room. The way she looked at me with daddy where are we and whats happening tore my heart out. I sat in their parking and cried holding her body for almost an hour. But at least they were there and you werent !! I had to pay 250 for some strange person who didnt care to end her suffering. I wont be bringing my pets to you ever againD Stanley

We come here to get my dog bathed. The staff is always patient and friendly with him. Hes a little old and his eye sight is going so they have to kind of guide him where ever he has to go so we really appreciate that they genuinely care for his well being. In terms of his bathing they always do an amazing job! He comes back smelling great and looking relaxed and rejuvenated!

My last 3 interactions with the establishment has been suspect with the billing and I have learned that upon questioning their billing, I have been determined as being argumentative. My latest encounter was a teeth cleaning appointment for my fur-baby so I was told that I need to print the estimate, sign the estimate that I agree to pay anything they determine to be the amount that falls in between the low end and the high end of my estimate. I opened the estimate and to my dismay, the estimate was $450 to $950, a $500 spread which makes the high end more than 100% of the low end cost. And with my signing the estimate, I was told that Im agreeing to pay the amount they determine that falls in that range - no questions asked. I loved Dr. Hudson but I no longer trust the billing and charges... just seems too extreme.

Very efficient service, and Dr. Kaitlyn was very informative and personable.

I had to bring my 12 year old Coonhound in unexpectedly while I was away from home. He had been struggling with kidney and heart function for a couple of weeks. I brought him to see Dr. Lukowski. She was fantastic. And, although the end result was putting my little buddy to sleep, they were so great here. I was able to get a second opinion by her for my dog that I valued and it gave me peace. The whole process of preparing and post euthanasia was so compassionate. Thank you Dr. L and staff for giving me comfort while away from home as I managed this. You are all so wonderful.

For 20 plus years Dr. Ford and his team have provided excellent care for my beagles. All hounds have lived long and healthy lives.Recently, I had to bring Zuzu in for an emergency situation. I was able to get her right in, The tech (wish I could remember her name) listened to my concerns and assured me that the issue wasnt as bad as I had thought. After Zuzu was evaluated Dr. Ford came out with an illustration and explained everything to me and what treatment Zuzu would need over the next several days. Zuzu is feeling much better and I am very relieved.Over the weekend my Beagle Ernie became very sick. Dr. Ford was able to work Ernie in on Monday. From Ernies symptoms Dr. Ford could tell the issues were diabetes and pancreatitis. Dr. Fords go to vet on diabetes is Dr. Hudson. My good fortune... Dr. Hudson had a cancellation and could treat Ernie immediately. Dr. Hudson thoroughly explained the issues with Ernie and what treatment would be needed. Ernie was feeling much better when we left. Once again I left North Dallas Vet. Hospital very relieved. I am looking forward to working with Dr. Hudson on Ernies diabetes treatment.
