Drs. Adamson, Alvarez, and Spillers, as well as the entire Metro Paws staff, are knowledgeable and compassionate. They helped us diagnose and treat our two FeLV+ kittens. Their support through such a difficult time is everything. They take time to listen and share their own experiences in the most helpful way. I can’t endorse them highly enough.

I would like to thank all the staff at Metro Paw for always being so helpful and loving to my fur babies needs! They have always been good at explaining everything that is going to happen and what really needs to be done. I want to thank you for listening to my concerns and addressing them. I have never walked in and felt doubt. Animal care is expensive like human care, however they do offer insurance which really can help if your in and out of the Drs much. My young baby was neutered; very simple sugary, but they took good care of him and the incision was very clean and no irritation and even though he didnt need the pain medication it was still provided. Which was very much appreciated! I would definitely work with mend Metro call Oak Cliff for all the Care because of the heart and passion that they have. So I thank you for taking care of my fur babies and me!❤🐈

Just came back from this place, which actually is my dog vet place and guess what? They refused to see my dog Ash for a couple of minutes because it was 17:30 and they close at 18:00. My dog had something in his paw which can see it clear and it was a 1 minute job to take it out, I was right there with him and they said no! I understand that you can make an appointment, and they where busy with those appointments, but sometimes things happen and they sent me to the Emergency room for that, which at this time is one hr driving. No one cares, but when you take your dog for the annual physical exam, they touch him twice and charge $200.Very disappointed, looks like dogs/pets are not actually why they choose that job, to the end its just a job...right?!And please do not reply, saying that youre thanking me for taking time to write a review and youre sorry for this. The lady from the front desk went inside three times and ask for a vet and no one had couple of minutes.Thank you!

The staff were all friendly. I was worried about leaving him all day never had to go through a situation like this before. I liked how the dr called me throughout the day to keep me updated on my furbaby! she gave me some peace! My baby isn’t out of the woods yet but thanks to this clinic he is a bit better.

I mean on the outside they seem fair. Knowledgeable. Etc. But any place that gives an estimate of 600$ to check up + review a cat is kinda extreme. Ill just take my business elsewhere (also got charged 80$ to just visit. Nothing was done, nothing was fixed. Just 80$ to tell me itll cost 600$)So yeah, good luck with this place.

Dr. Donaldson is by far the best veterinarian we have visited. She is so great with our dog who is highly anxious and is always very patient and attentive to our concerns and needs. Highly recommend!

This was our first time here and under some sad and difficult circumstances. We laid to rest our beloved Sam (our yellow lab of 16yrs) 😭 The staff and Dr were so amazing, caring and just overall thoughtful. I appreciate you giving us the time we needed to say our goodbyes to him and allowing us to be with him as he took his last breath. Thank you so much for the genuine loving care you provided!! ❤

We recently got a pup for from a friend of a friend, I taken her to get vaccinated at a discounted travel Vet.They did what expected and apparently the pup we got was already over 3 months old no shots and possibly had Parvo, 14 lbs.The staff is excellent after seeing how much they truly cared for our family pup. My wife and I won’t go anywhere else. Highly recommend

I walked in without an appointment and they were rude and looked at me like I was crazy. Instead they could have asked if I wanted to make appointment and tell me to go to somewhere else.

I made a request appointment 3 weeks ago, and like there was no answer from them I called them today asking for an appointment for next day and they dont have nothing until 8 days,so I mention it to the lady about my request I made 3 weeks ago that what happen?and she just ignore me, saying if I wanted my appointment to the next week.👎Oakcliff Area.

Dr. Lavender is a phenomenal veterinarian who treated my dog, Brew, with the utmost care during his initial analysis, treatment, and up until his unfortunate passing due to bone cancer. She was incredibly caring and responsive, even answering text messages on her days off. She worked with her team to get his prescriptions filled quickly and spent extra time with Brew and I, clearly explaining everything and helping me set expectations for his condition. Thank you for all the care you provided Brew in his final months, Dr. Lavender, and for your commitment to the community and the wonderful animals who people hold so close to their hearts.

There are not enough words to express how wonderful Dr. Donaldson is as a veterinarian. She is one of the most knowledgeable, friendly and most importantly, compassionate people I have had the pleasure of meeting. If you need the absolute best care for your pets, Metro Paws is the place to go!

My mother had the best care with her puppy Snickers on 12/01, she had a horrible skin infection and the cost was very high for treatment. Dr. Donaldson did what she could to help but unfortunately we were only able to pay for some of what she needed. Out of the kindness of her heart the doctor ended up paying for the remaining balance. My mother came home in tears. The technician “Erika” was also very sweet and patient and took care of snickers like she was her own baby. Best care that I’ve ever heard of from a vet! Thank you so much for putting a smile on my moms face!

I been here 4 times and every time I go I feel happy my puppy is in good hands. They genuinely care and love dogs. I don’t have a designated vet to see which is my favorite so I get a new each time and it doesn’t matter who you get they are all well versed and so kind. I took a picture of my puppy to show how calm he is. They also take dogs on puppy tours so they don’t correlate “shots” and the Vet as a bad place. Highly recommend this vet.

I had an appointment for my dog at 3:30pm. When I got there they told me that my appointment was at 3:15pm. They didnt send any email or text message confirming the appointment. I gave my dog the medicines that they prescribed for his visit and he was not seen because they were running 40 minutes late and I was supposedly late for the appointment. The appointment time was a misunderstanding that could have been avoided if they had sent me a confirmation. My pup took medicines needlessly because of their disorganization. I am wondering if they really care about our pets. I recommended this Vet to several friends and neighbors, I regret it now.

This was the first vet that didnt want a muzzle on our 4 year old Belgian Malinois. He is not aggresive at all, but he is a bit vocal and usually gives 2 or 3 quick barks when someone new enters a room. Past vets would always require a muzzle if he barked. MetroPaws staff listened to me when I informed them hes just saying HI, and to pet him on top of his head and hell be your best buddy. I have no problem with muzzles IF they are needed, but just to put a muzzle on a dog because he looks intimidating only creates more anxiety for a dog, so I appreciated the opportunity that my Mal was finally give a very positive experience for a vet visit!

Overpriced and dismissive. Pressured us to unnecessary testing. Took my dog here a few times and was out over $1k. Took her to a better vet who correctly diagnosed her and treated her for about $150.

I can not be happier with Dr Lavender and her staff! Top notch from beginning to the end! I had been going to another vet and wasnt being heard! I knew my fur baby was having some issues but felt like it wasnt being addressed! Dr Lavender listened, diagnosed and treated the problem! I am so very thankful for her expertise and caring nature! My dog had nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea for an entire month. He was seen by 2 veterinarians who told me nothing was wrong with him. A few hundred dollars later, I decided to call MetroPaws. They allowed me to do a same day walk in appointment. They correctly diagnosed my dog and performed surgery on him the next morning. The entire team was very compassionate and caring.

Very upset with the service. We had an appointment at 5:30 called to check in, but apparently they never received our messages we were there. They called at exactly 6 pm to say we never called and the doctor said they are closed we need to reschedule. I called back right away but the phones were shut off so I emailed showing proof we did call and left a voicemail. Here we are two days later and no one has called back or responded. Great customer service.

The employees were incredibly nice and the prices are affordable for everyone. I would recommend taking your pet here for a teeth cleaning.

Expensive and not willing to work with you on pricing. Prices for the same treatment change every time you come in... We decided after a month of taking our puppy here for a broken leg that we needed to find a new vet! You will pay an arm and leg to do anything to your pet here! We only needed flea treatment for our older dog and of course we were told we needed to schedule an appointment/pay a fee for her to be seen first. 56$ for a flea treatment for our puppy is absolutely crazy. The vet on edge field down the street iit was less then 50$ for both my puppy, and my large dog . Also paid for our pups bandage change and the next day it was falling off, after bringing himback and telling them it came off they told us they are charging us again because apparently they can tell that he was moving too much that is why it came off. He absolutely was not.

I feel like I was over charged. $356 just for vaccines and dewormed on 2 kittens.

Dr. Lavender found cancer very early in my Yorkie-poo, and did the surgery and got it all!! It was an amazing experience in what was worrisome and stressful for our family. We are so happy with Dr. Lavender and Metro Paws Dallas!

Plain and simple, this place is incredible! Metro Paws OC saved my dog’s life and I am so grateful we were sent there for my sweet pup Georgia’s emergency surgery. Dr. Lavender, Dr. Donaldson, and the entire Metro Paws team went above and way beyond to save my pup and provide her with the best possible care. After surgery, my pup was surrounded by love and attention from so many wonderful people that clearly love what they do and the animals they treat. Every single person in that clinic, from the doctors to the wonderful volunteers, were invested in her successful recovery. I received constant updates on her condition day and night, during clinic hours and well beyond. From the time we arrived I was always confident that we were in the best possible place for the best possible outcome. I cannot thank the crew at MPOC enough for everything they did for us!

I loved this place!! Macy did an excellent job answering all our questions and even called at the end of the day to check on how our pup was doing after her first round of vaccinations. Were first time puppy owners so we had a lot of concerns but after leaving our visit, we felt relieved and like we were in good hands. I will make sure to keep bringing my pup here!

What can I say about this place. Took my dog for the first time and they were great, kept me in the loop about everything. Selena was wonderful. Although they did all they could, my dog later had to be put down due to other circumstances . And what does Metro Paws Animal Hopsital do ?, they send me a sympathy card. I am so impressed. I will suggest this place to everyone that have pets.

Was told my dog had parvo and needed immediate treatment. LIES. All lies! I went to get a second opinion with another vet and the ran multiple test and bloodwork and informed me that the dog did not have Parvo at all. DO NOT COME HERE. Basically told me my dog needed to be isolated and treated... the puppy was only 9 weeks old and if he would have gone through that treatment he would not make it. So basically do not come here get better assistance at Holt vet clinic and actually get the support you need.

Where do I start, they’re cheaper than any other vet I’ve gone too outside the initial fee, have incredibly polite staff, and work with you to give the absolute best care for your pet. I came in strapped for cash with my cat, Dr. Spillers ran everything through with me and not just what she was doing but why too. Helping me decide which was the best course of action for my cat with what was available. They helped lessen the stress of having a sick cat. Could not recommend enough.

Metropaws Animal hospital is without doubt the best veterinary clinic you can find in Dallas. We have been bringing our dog here since he was 8 weeks old (he’s nearly 4 now). Dr Lavender and her team are incredible. Our dog was recently diagnosed with pneumonia and Dr.Lavender was amazing, compassionate and caring. She kept us informed every step of the way to keep us up to date on progress and treatment. We never had to worry that he was in good hands. Even after he was discharged, Dr.Lavender would personally check in to see how he was doing. I’m thankful to say our dog made a full recovery all thanks to Dr. Lavender and her team. If you want your 4 legged friend well looked after, this is the place to go!

They did care for my dog immediately as soon as I got there. It was pretty pricey but my baby is alive and healthy.

Pros: Vets are friendlyCons: if you are looking for a cheap efficient spade/neuter for your animals you wont find that here. I was charged $100 without notice just for the vet tech to take both my dogs temperatures prior to even getting a consultation fee for the spade. I was not notified this charge would take place prior to them doing it, or on the phone when I made an appointment. Take your business elsewhere if you want something affordable for your pets.

I called to ask how much it would be to have my cat neutered. The lady that answered responded by asking if it was a male or a female. I would figure that the technician would know that males get neutered. Dont recall ever hearing about a male cat getting spayed; so go figure.The quote they returned was 3 to 5 hundred dollars to have my cat neutered... it is clear they only cater to the wealthy and have no interest in serving the poorer communities in Oak Cliff. The SPCA just a few blocks away charges 50 dollars for the same procedure.

I own Park Cities Pet Sitter and have been to many vets over the years for my clients and myself. I have been to all locations for Metro Paws and love them all. The main location I use personally is on Skillman and Dr. Deresz is the doctor who cares for my cats and dog. He truly cares and is very detailed in all he does for my personal pets. I would recommend them highly!

Metro Paws is literally the best and I’m glad to make this vet a permanent place for my pups. They really do care for your pets and will always call and checkup on them as well as remind you of an upcoming visit. Every time I come in they always make Tebow and Abby feel welcome. Everytime i had come to this hospital (4th time with today) they never want to take me in, they always have an excuse that they don’t have any doctors available...i finally got tired and decided to write this review the customer service is horrible, i was left waiting on the phone for 47minutes just to tell me they couldn’t take me in...the other previous times i went it was that they were closing for the day or that the doctors were not in...is always something with these folks please save your time and just go to a diffrent vet. This one is not good at all!

We have taken our pets to Metro Paws for several years and have been really happy with them! Our dogs are special needs dogs and everyone there goes out of their way to help us and then they follow up a few days later. They ship the dogs’ food to our house so we never run out!

Dr. Spillers and the entire Metro Paws team is outstanding. From the time we make the appointment to the greeting at reception, through the visit, and then the follow-up call a day later....they dont miss a beat and they truly care about our fur babies. The entire team takes time to listen to everything and thoroughly check everything out, without an exorbitant pricetag. I have access to our vet by email and the techs are outstanding of we just need a tech visit. The facility itself is super clean and inviting with nice big exam rooms. We will never go anywhere else

The staff at Metro Paws Oak Cliff is AMAZING! Dr. Lavender and Dr. Schipp took care of my dog and their care was beyond great. They treated him as if he was one of their own. The staff is also extremely helpful, sweet and empathetic. I cant recommend them enough. I would give a million stars to them if I could. You cannot go wrong with taking your loved ones to these wonderful people.

Incompetent employees, cannot belive they dont know how to use a computer, my wife is furious, we will never take our dog there, there people cant even imput the information (or interpret it) in their system.

They are great! Normally take my pups to a vet in Arlington since that is their original one. However, when our new baby got into an accident I called to see if they could fit him and they did! They were kind and loved him they way I love him, fair prices, and they also do regular vet visits as well!

I had taken my dog to another vet on Monday and they sent me home saying he was fine. The next morning I took him to Metro Paws because, well, you know if your dog is not feeling well. They were quick and friendly and took very good care of him. They ran the appropriate tests and quickly discovered his medical issue. They laid out a treatment plan and did an amazing job. Looks like I have a new vet in West Dallas.

Ive taken my fur babies to see Dr. Lavender and Dr. Shipp- both have been wonderful!!! Im very involved and committed to the health and happiness of my cats and both doctors have been incredibly helpful, patient, and kind even through emotional times of surgery and biopsies etc. Dr. Shipp handled a biopsy surgery for one of my cats and he came through with flying colors. She will be taking care of a dental surgery for me also. Having pets is a life long commitment and finding vets that you can trust is so important. I trust Metro Paws to take excellent care of my babies.

Ive been taking my 11 month old German Shepherd pup here for the past 8 months and theyve been great. Ive read some reviews about it being pricey and while some things are, it is still very affordable IMO. Metro Paws does have a very nice facility that I imagine costs a small fortune to maintain, so I dont expect them to have rock-bottom prices. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for and my pup is a member of the family, so I dont want to skimp out on quality. Every interaction Ive had with multiple staff members has been pleasant and they are GREAT with follow-up after every visit.

I went to take my dog for a check up and the doctor I had was really rude! It was clear she was having a bad day before she walked in the room. her attitude full of sass, not polite or Empathetic to the dogs pain at all! She also did not attend to my dog very well. She was not at all helpful to the dogs situation. If a Manager or higher staff wants more information about the situation. Ill be glad to give you the full details on how she was rough with my dog and did not help very well. Her name was Jennifer Lavender.

The people are nice, but the place is disorganized. Dogs are allowed in waiting room without leashes, which led to a 112 lbs Pit Bull coming across the waiting room that lunged at my dog to bite him - and I ended up between the Pit Bull and my dog. Have also received some questionable medical advice from receptionists there.

I took my giant breed dog here because he has an injured leg and I didnt want to wait an extra day to go to my normal vet. I came in with a very positive mindset thinking that perhaps I could begin taking all 4 of my dogs to this vet since it is closer than my normal vet.It got strange real quick though. The woman at the front desk wanted me to put my dog on the scale. It should be obvious to anyone that putting a 170lb dog with an injured leg on a small scale in the corner is not a one person job. For whatever reason this woman wouldnt get within 5 feet of my dog. For the record, my dog is a super sweet teddy bear that likes everyone (I have other dogs that are not and there is a massive difference in personalities). It was as if she didnt like dogs at all.Anyways, I told her that my normal vets puts him on the scale themselves. She asked me How? and I replied How would I know? Im not a vet. I was seriously shocked that she didnt know how to get a dog on a scale. At that point she went to the back to get guidance and I wasnt getting good vibes at this place and didnt trust they would know what was best for my dog so I immediately left and apologized to my injured dog for lugging him all the way to Metro Paws.BTW, it should be noted that I previously came here a couple years back to check prices for neutering and both times Ive been here the place has seemed uninviting and unfriendly. Its a completely different vibe than what I get at CityVet Oak Lawn, which I was considering changing from simply because its a bit further and is always changing vets but clearly I will not be taking my dogs to Metro Paws.

So helpful and caring. They answered all my questions! They fit me in during emergencies. EDIT: now have a diabetic animal and they are working with me with all the millions and questions I have. Extremely expensive, for very little effort on there part

This is a very sad story but all the employees helped us through our troubled time. My mom inherited a couple of cats after my aunts passing and 1 of them became gravily sick. My mom being in her 80s gave me permission to use her credit card and take Sadie to the vet. While they were doing their best to take care of her that i went home to take a shower then go back to say good night cause the cat was recommended to stay the night. On my way back the doctor called and said she had a seizure and probably wouldnt make it through the night so I came home to get my mother so we could say our goodbyes. She was almost gone when the best decision was to put her to sleep. Everyone was letting us take as much time as needed and we thought she was gone but she was still fighting so we had to make the decision to stop her suffering especially since she had another seizure. Evertone was saddened but very understanding, caring, and helpful. I highly recommended them and God bless them all for helping us through this misfortune.

My dogs have been patients @ Metro Paws since they were puppies. I would not take them anywhere else, they love Metro Paws (& so do I). The Vets are truly health care providers for animals- very compassionate and always treat my dogs like family. The Techs & Receptionist too are are very professional & so helpful. I tad pricey, but you get what you pay for. Great patient service and are ready to help and explain as much as they can. They go above and beyond to make your pets feel comfortable and not just a number or $ to be made... Which is what Im used to. Its been hard to find a place thus clean and professional! My dog had to have unexpected surgery after being attacked by another dog. They did a great job and making him comfortable and checking up on him after the surgery. Unfortunately they had to go back in a second time which costed more money but again it was an easy process and they kept me updated the whole time and worked out a payment plan with me.

After my upsetting experience ar Benfieñd animal hospital. Finding a good vet. became a task. The SPCA became the only place, I could trust. But. With their extended scheduling getting my puppies their first wellness exam and vaccined was an eternal wait. My sister recommended Metro Paws animal clinic in Oak Cliff. This is now my family Vet. The atmosphere was friendly and inviting, the staff was professional, knowledgeable, patient and kind. Their pet handling techniques were impressive. Im so thankful for this place. I fully recommend this clinic 100% 5 star 🌟

First time there took my dogs Chavelita and daisy and everything was great. price was fair. everything was explained to me clearly. Ive been to other vets before and this one is my favorite. i think i was helped by marina cant remember her name but she took care of a tick problem i had real quick. cant remember the doctors name but she was nice.

I just wanted to take minute to thank the metro Paws staff for helping my fur baby through her skin issues! She was itchy for years and after getting her allergy shots and a few meds she has been doing so well! And her fur is growing back! I wanted to also not only praise the amazing front staff and the Dr that helped me but the nursing staff as well. The young man (think his name was caleb) was unbelievably knowledgeable and helpful to me and my fur baby. He reassured me and helped me calm down after reading Google articles and thinking it was something terrible. He was so gentle and explained everything so well for me to understand, also my little Chihuahua didnt even flinch for her shot he gave (which I was more terrified for her then she was). I expect the doctor to be just as wonderful as Dr.donaldson was when I take my animal into a vet but I didnt expect such a caring staff as when I went into metro Paws!

They have one vet who is qualified to see hamsters and she took great care of my hammie!

Wow, thanks for your help, Metro Paws. I called this morning to ask for help with a Community Cat that I care for, who is very ill. I dont have lots of extra cash, and would normally turn to Dallas Animal Services for assistance with this poor elderly cat. However, DAS does not open until 11:00AM. I have a meeting this morning AT 11:00AM, that I simply cannot miss. It really saddens me to think of this poor cat suffering until this afternoon when I return from my meeting. I was not asking for them to offer free services, just perhaps a lowered fee so that he wouldnt end up suffering all day. So profit minded are you, Metro Paws, that you cant or wont be bothered by helping in this situation. Classy, community friendly folks you are not.

I was very disappointed with my visit to Metro Paws. I called the animal hospital to make an appointment concerning one of my dogs allergies and to pick up heart worm medicine for my other two dogs. While making the appointment over the phone, the receptionist assured me I didnt need to bring in my other two dogs in order to get heart worm medicine-- as long as they were up-to-date on all of their shots, which they were. As a result, I only took my dog with allergies to the vet appointment.After spending an hour in between waiting and briefly speaking to the vet, I was told to give my dog over-the-counter allergy medicine. When I asked to pick up a six month supply of heart worm prevention for my other two dogs, the vet refused saying she needed to see them in person in order to give them any medicine.She then shamefully forced the receptionist who I had spoken to earlier to apologize to me. I was told I could bring the other 2 dogs in for an examination (costing 40$ each) in order to get the meds. When I asked if one of the examination fees could be waived due to the inconvenience and misinformation, the vet refused.I will not be going back.

Hands down, the best vets in Dallas. I have been going to Metro since I moved back to Texas. I have cats and dogs of all ages, not mention the strays that we find all too often. I love both locations - Skillman is near my home and the OC location is closer to work. From the friendly front desk staff to the caring vet techs to the amazing doctors who have saved my babies more than once... I love them all. I could not be happier with their service and highly recommend them to everyone who needs a caring, affordable veterinarian.

My dog love this place, people here are awesome and friendly, prices are really good and yes heart worms treatment is the cheapest and works pretty well. Been treated 2 dogs* and they are healthy now.(*rescued)

Kinda pricey but I am comfortable taking my pets there. Very kind people.

Everyone is so friendly and my dog isnt scared to go here. Theyre also open 7 days per week so its easy to make an appointment.

I called to ask for a price estimate for a comprehensive new pet exam. The female associate who answered the phone seemed to be annoyed by this. She quoted $59 but did not say what this included other than the vet would look at the cat. I asked if there were any tests they usually recommended during a new pet exam and she said, well, what do you want? Again I asked for their usual recommendations. ...and so the conversation went... It felt like I had to pull information out of her and her tone of voice was dripping with annoyance and condescension. I hung up, and called and made an appointment with another vet who is farther away but was able to give me the information I asked for in a cheerful helpful way.It makes me sad to write this review because we really need a good vet in this part of Oak Cliff.

Great vet service!! Staff is ultra friendly and caring. Wait times at a minimum and there is weekend service.

Bring both our dog and cat here. Consistently great 2-legged and 4-legged patient skills.
