I had an awesome experience with Holly. I informed her that my wife and I drove all the way from Lincoln, Nebraska looking for a specific truck. She was wonderful to talk to and helped with the vehicle buying process. Its been 2 weeks and I love my new truck. She also was extremely knowledgeable when it came to different types of pickup trucks. She also went through the different features of my new vehicle while she was driving it, showing me the different buttons. It was an awesome experience, and if I have to buy a new vehicle, hopefully for my child, well be driving back there.
Out of town buyer. Salesperson Isaac made the entire experience easy and efficient. He walked me through how an out of state purchase would work, arranged for a pick up from the airport and once at the dealership explained in detail all the features and functions of my new car. Best car buying experience ever!
The 2012 Equinox LTZ was a lemon from the very beginning (literally the first day)paying $9,968.00. In less than 8 months we had three loaner cars from Ernst to have major repairs done. Each time it was worked on they found other issues. The final time was warranted by GM for excessive oil consumption. I made a total of 6 trips on my own time and $$ for this process to hopfully get the GM warranty. The shop pulled the motor and other issues again finding a significant transmission leak. Way too expensive of a fix for a car that was constantly in the shop. The shop did good work. We stopped to pick it up and a huge chunk of rust fell off the rear rocker leaving the door seal compromised. We were done with it. We wanted to trade across for a vehicle. Sales department depreciated our vehicle $3,000 in only 8 months and wouldnt make a trade deal on a very comparable 2011 Nissan. They kept wanting to add money to my loan amount since they devalued the Equinox, but made money off of all the warranty work. My wife and I were totally frustrated at this point and sold the vehicle back to Ernst. Out of options, we took a 3k loss, but knew it would cost us way more in the long run if we kept it. In the end, we lost our trade in vehicle, the cash down, time out of work and $$ for these hassles, and the payments already made on it. Now I see this $3k depreciated vehicle listed for more ($10,306) than we bought it for. I feel scammed and not afraid to tell Everyone I see.
Everyone in the dealership was very kind and friendly the atmosphere was very comfortable you did not feel uneasy sitting there with the sales person and even the owner Mr. John Ernst circulated throughout the building smiled and said hello to all of the customers and seemed to have positive engagement with his team members. Isaac, the sales associate did a nice job, he was very up front, honest trustworthy and we felt we received the best possible deal that we could have ever received vs going to another dealership. It made the hour drive from Omaha well worth it. Isaac was very accommodating, always asking if we needed anything, he brought multiple vehicles into the show room area for us to view and discuss the options, he was patient and very kind, considerate and patient throughout the whole process. We never felt pushed or uncomfortable, pressured or hurried to purchase the vehicle, it was a very laid back and comfortable buying experience.
Rude service. Disagreed with the price and wanted to walk and manager or financing guy acted like I was asking for something free. Lady in the office could’ve been nicer
Is à total rip off in priceing. If I would it know I would have take it to the lexus dealer service and they do à lot better job then Ernst.
I saw a 2019 Chevy truck online and loved it... I made time to drive 90 minutes to go see it and it was not even cleaned, why put a truck online that is not ready to show... I still drove it despite in not being clean. I loved the truck and agreed to bring my trade-in the next day to see if we could work out a deal. The entire process from showing up to leaving with the truck took FOUR HOURS!! Are you kidding me??? I had not even make it 2 miles before the tire sensor alarm came on. 4 days later I had a check engine light. I had to take my new truck back, 90 minutes away, to get looked at, they did give me a vehicle to drive, they had my truck for 3 days and had fixed nothing when I came back. Not only did they not fix anything they broke my tow mirror as well. They said they would replace it and the part that caused the check engine light to turn on but they needed to order parts. they said that it should have only been a few days, that was 10 days ago and I have a truck I just bought with a check engine light, a tire sensor alarm, a broken mirror, and not one phone call from the dealership... I will take my truck back and make sure they fix everything. I am happy that I have a Chevy warranty because I will never take a vehicle back to this dealership after I get it fixed. As far as the sales person, the experience and problems with her were worse than the problems with my truck.
Out of state buyers, great experience. Unbelievably quickest service we’ve ever had at a car dealership. Thank you to Rick Smith for making it as painless as possible. We will definitely be buying our next car from them in the future.
Everything about this experience was wonderful. The service advisor, Miguel, was super personable and helpful. The service itself was quick and easy. The waiting area was clean and comfortable. All the employees I came in contact with were friendly.
Isaac and Michelle were extremely professional and helpful thruout the entire buying process. My door needed work on it, the repair crew took a look at it and are fixing it right away. Very pleased with how everything was handled.
Visited the service department to have a work truck serviced. I was immediately greeted by Austin Olk. First of all let me say thank you to all the staff as well for the additional service and hospitality they shown me. So I was leaving the vehicle and getting a rental when I recieved a call saying no rental available in town. Austin was able to get us a loaner, (which is pictured) then had to drive 1 hour to get rental and 1 hour back. This got me out of a bind which had nothing to do with them, I was so very satisfied with the work done to the work truck. Two thumbs up. Thank you Austin for being helpful and your coworkers as well.
Marc McPhillips was amazing to do business with. I would definitely recommend him and this dealership. Marc was down to earth and not pushy at all. Him along with Colton made the process smooth and easy. All the staff was friendly, professional and made my purchasing experience exciting(as it should be). Thanks Mark and Ernst!!
Its was the best truck buying experience Ive ever had. Marc, my salesman, was great to deal with and Colton, my finance guy was awesome also. Ive bought a lot of trucks over the years and you guys were the best! Ill be back to get another one in a couple years. I usually buy a new truck every two years so I will definitely coming back to Ernst. Thanks!!
Very easy to work with, very appreciative of picking up my car at work and delivering back on time and that it was vacuumed and washed. Thank you!
Didnt have to wait long about 45 minutes for the oil change The only thing that bothered me was paying 65 for an oil change but I guess prices go up everywhere like coming to Ernst Doug is very nice and wonderful to work with
All parties that I worked with was excellent. I’d recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a good a deal.
Our sales associate worked diligently with the finance team to provide us with the best options available to us in order to purchase the car we wanted and they went above and beyond to locate the vehicle we wanted. They also gave us top dollar for our trade in!
WORST communication, customer service and service follow through. What I’m about to explain has happened to me twice. Once in Fall 2020 and last week. I received poor service from Columbus’s dealership. I scheduled an appointment on February 11th for March 29th because that was the first day they could check my engine light. I waited till my appointment. A week before my appointment, I called and requested to have a headlight and oil changed added to my appointment and ask for a courtesy vehicle. I dropped my car off Sunday evening. No one called me on Monday morning I called the dealership at 2 PM to receive an update on my vehicle. They had yet to take it back. I called again requesting a courtesy vehicle as my job requires me to travel. They told me they did not have one. I waited a couple hours and called back to see if they have taken my car back and they told me that they wouldn’t be able to until Tuesday morning. I called the service manager and left a voicemail requesting a courtesy vehicle. The service manager never returned my call. I called on Tuesday at 1 o’clock. It’s still not taking my vehicle back. I finally received a phone call at 5:15 PM on Tuesday saying that I was going to need a fuel pump and that my car wouldn’t be done at the latest by Friday. They gave me an estimate of my costs. When I asked if that included the headlight and oil change. He mentioned he didn’t know I needed those services too. Clearly, there’s no communication within the department. I’ve never been more upset with services. I asked if they had a courtesy vehicle because I could not work another day without one. They told me yes but I couldn’t get it until Wednesday morning and that no one was able to wait there for me to arrive at 5:30. I did receive a courtesy vehicle. And I did have my car done by Thursday evening and I was able to pick it up Friday morning. When I picked it up, I realized my oil wasn’t changed. And more importantly after three hours my engine light was back on. I’m not sure what diagnostic procedures Chevy Dealership uses in Columbus; but it most certainly isn’t an effective or sufficient one. Unfortunately, I will be driving out of town to receive any type of services on my vehicle.
I was going to drop my vehicle off a day earlier for its oil change. When I went to give the keys to the service technician, he said they had time to do it now. So my husband and I got our shopping done early and I got the oil changed a day early. WIN WIN!
Not real nice. If you don’t want to do your job, why be there
Michelle and Sam did so much for me!!! I went in to look at a different vehicle looking at used and walked out with a brand new car that I love so very much!!! Thank you!!!!
Still the worst dealer in Columbus, if you buy from there make sure you spend MORE money and get your vehicle serviced elsewhere.
I like how they work with the customer. I asked them to pick up my vehicle and deliver it and they did a great job.
Friendly staff, fast and efficient service
We bought our suv from there today. Very nice people. I would go again.
Called at 3pm to see if they would service my vehicle. They said sure bring it on out. I was out in 30 minutes.
I was traveling to Columbus for a family event, and my rear brakes started grinding and almost seized. Unfortunately, it was a Saturday, and there were only a few places open and only until 12. Rejean was wonderful and made room to put on new pads and rotors, even thought they had a full schedule. They have a nice waiting area. I was very happy with the work and service. They had no vested interest in taking care of me. I didnt buy my vehicle there, nor can I drive 500 miles for future service. I will just leave a positive review for them in gratitude!
Everyone at Ernst is professional and the service is exceptional. They know you by name and treat you like family. I would not go anywhere else to service my vehicle or buy a new vehicle. I highly recommend Ernst Auto!
I brought my Malibus extra key fob which the previous owner had not programmed yet. The fob was programmed, but when I arrived back home I discovered that the key inside the fob was still a blank. I called the service dept, and they told me to come back so they could cut the key to work in my door lock. The technician had not taken the key to the parts dept on my first trip. I had been charged for the key cutting on my bill, so the parts dept cut the key at no additional charge. It was just a miscommunication which was solved by the parts dept very courteously and efficiently. Thank you for solving the problem.
Scheduled online...in and out in an hour as promised....very friendly and clean dealership.
Always friendly and welcoming
Took over 2 weeks to get vehicle in then took over a month to get it back and it still dont run right. Have to take it back in now. Because its under warranty they fixed the bare minimum versus fixing it right. Whats going to go out in the engine next because of it. Oh and warranty runs out in less than 30 days imagine that.
Great experience when purchasing my new Toyota Rav4 2019 Hybrid. Very professional sales staff. They dont push you or force you to buy the vehicle they want. They let you buy the vehicle you want and the way you want it. Sales people are always willing to answer your questions and work with you. I waited more than two months to get my Rav4, and they made sure I was aware of it. In the picture with Jim Ernst, Mike Backstrom and Tony Supik. I love my new Toyota and no regrets to buy locally. Thank you very much!
Everybody was very friendly. No high pressure tactics .Much appreciated.
Oscar is probably the only honest car salesman I have met. He should be an example to other salesperson on how being honest is actually the most profitable model. He will be upfront with you and tell you the truth. The dealership should be glad to have him. If you are shopping at this dealership, ask for Oscar!
I like the fact that Ernst Auto will pick up my car at my workplace, change the oil, wash it, and bring it back. I dont have to leave my office to get the service done!. Thanks Doug, for your ability to arrange this!
Poor customer service! Bought a car at the end of June that ended up having multiple issues. After a couple calls to the GM Services department, (who thought my salesman wasnt even employed there and had no idea what warranty I was talking about on my new car) and a few angry texts to my salesman, they took the car back to fix the issues (including issues with the Cadilladic converter, all wheel drive system, and power stearing system), but after having the car for an entire month, they still hadnt fixed the big issues. Then, they offered to just trade the car in, but only gave me one or two options. They told me theyd find a few more options for me to look at, but then didnt call me after 2 weeks. Three months later, Im still stuck with the car that has issues with the Power Stearing and All Wheel Drive systems. Communication here is lacking. I had to be the one to ask about the status of my car or trade-in options, and there were multiple times where I wouldnt hear from anyone for a over a week. I was also passed between 3 or 4 different employees. This is definitely the most stressful experience Ive had buying a new car. Would not recommend this place.
Very friendly and helpful staff!
Nice people, knowledgeable.Service center was clean.
Friendly and good service today!
I love my car. But customer service not so much. All but one person we worked with on our deal was a mess and couldn’t even keep straight when we were coming to pick it up after paying a deposit a few days in advance. The sales lady came out to “help” me set up the Bluetooth, I already knew how to set up the Bluetooth and she was very rude when I tried taking control in the car I already owned. Wasn’t happy when I drove the car off the lot with a quarter tank of gas, every other dealership has filled up the vehicle for us before taking it off the lot. Lost my business after this experience.
It went very well. Everyone was very kind and helpful.
My chevy truck was wrecked and I had the body shop fix it. All was great until I found a drip in the paint when I picked it up. Took it back for him to fix and when I got it back it was worse than when I found the drip. Today I took it back in so he has to fix it and not be rushed. Im hoping it will be done right. I know he is a very picky person with his work so this really was a shock.
I always enjoy the staff and their friendliness!!!
Had to take my burban in to see whats wrong with it.
Holly was amazing! She was very helpful and personable. I will definitely refer anyone to her. And the 2 people I worked with in the finance department we also amazing. Making sure I got into the right car for the money I had!
Everyone I met was very friendly and they completed the service in an expedited manner.
Holly Williams and Colton were amazing!!!! Looked at one vehicle but noticed it wasn’t a good fit and they both help me pick out my 2011 Buick LaCrosse and got me a good deal too couldn’t be happier!!!
It seems most of the staff here are very unorganized. You will wait days to get a phone call back. Fiance department seemed very overwhelmed/stressed which showed ( not professional ). Salesman talked so fast I could hardly understand or follow what he was saying. Seemed as if he was in a big hurry to get to his next customer on the lot. Overall this place gave me a headache and I went else where.
Great selection and very easy to work with. Holly and Michelle were awesome!
Awesome Dealer located in Columbus, Nebraska. Very Clean inside & outside.
Its a amazing place for your car needs; They lets us know what was wrong and what we needed for parts and how much. The mechanics are the best and they know what they are doing .Please tell the service department and the mechanics thank you and a awesome job they are doing. We love you guys Thank you Ernst Auto Center Especially the Mechanics that work hard everyday at Ernst.Love
I have bought many cars from dealerships and this was the best buying experience I have had. Specifically I worked with a Matt Enquist. I highly recommend him if you are in the need for a vehicle. The dealership is about 1.5 hours away and I will go back to them when I need another vehicle in the future.
Not sure where my experience would vary from others, but my experience was awesome. Accommodating, thorough, and genuine staff made the visit and the entire experience flawless. I have and would recommend Ernst for purchasing a car. In fact, when it’s time, I intend to get my next vehicle there.
As always, everyone was very friendly and helpful. I received a timely ride to work and I was picked up again after work. I was called fairly quickly with an update on my car and I received no pressure about buying new tires (which are needed) but rather offered information in writing when I checked out. My car was freshly washed and vacuumed which was fabulous!
My wife and I had THE BEST car buying experience here, hands down. They are Chevy and Toyota dealerships, of course, with great inventory but they retain a comfortable but professional small town atmosphere. You dont feel hurried through but the staff is serious about helping you get the right car for the right price. I cannot recommend Kevin Wagner enough as a salesman and their finance person Jeanne is just awesome. You feel like you really can call them after the sale for help or concerns. Worth the drive to Columbus from wherever you are!
For many years I have trusted the service department to keep the maintenance level of my Toyota vehicles in top condition. The comfortable wait area, and the staff make for an enjoyable visit. It is nice to be greeted by the owner and the staff as they pass near the wait area. I am given the feeling they are truly Thankful you are a part of their customer family.
“ HUGE “shoutout to Grant P and his staff for staying late, and making my husband and I experience simple and quick. Everyone was so friendly, and made you feel right at home! Thank you to everyone’s help on finding us our perfect car. Glad to be part of the Ernst family!
I drove over 2 hours to buy a used Jeep from Dustin a few days ago. I have bad credit and they still worked with me! They did everything a great dealership should by taking care of their customers. I would definitely recommend going here. I can’t say enough good things. They went above my expectations and even replaced a part for me. Incredible service. Dustin was an amazing salesman and always kept me in the loop by texting or calling me when something changed or more info was needed. They listened to what I wanted in a vehicle and delivered without selling me something I didn’t need. LOVE THIS PLACE!!!
Your crew took care of me and my car! Thank You.
Quick friendly professional service. really didnt have to wait that long for new shocks and struts to be installed. Thought it was originally cv joint seal . they assessed it and found it was the shocks. appreciate the honesty and quick service.
Great turn around time. I was worried as I didnt have an appointment, but I was in and out in a reasonable amount of time.
Dealt with Mike. He is very nice, professional, and gave us superior service! Highly recommend this dealership and its hard-working customer service!
I cant tell you much on quality of vehicles or pricing but the salesperson literally harassed me like a bad breakup where the other person doesnt want to let you go. Calling me every single day begging me to call back. Needless to say the vehicle I was looking for I bought somewhere else.
We will never do business with Ernst Auto Center again. If there was anyway I could have I would have not even given them one star. They have the worst customer service that I have ever dealt with and do not back up the product that they sell. Mitch and his supervisor are 2 of the rudest customer service people I have ever had to deal with. The first time the service dept lied to us they was in regards to the brakes on a vehicle we had bought from them. They did not even look at us and when we took the vehicle to another repair center we found out that it was a very simple fix, unlike what Ernst tried to tell us what it was. The second issue we had with them was they did not back up the product that they sold us. We purchased a brand new vehicle not a used one from them. The battery went bad and states on the battery that it has a 6 year warranty however when we contacted Ernst Mitch in the repair dept. would do nothing to assist us, would only say that the vehicle had a 3 month/ 3 year warranty on it. He did not even look up any info on our account or anything about the vehicle. The last thing he said was it has a 36 month/ 3 year warranty, have a nice day and then hung up. The next day when I called to find out why he was so rude he proceeded to be rude to me again and told me, after I told him what horrible customer service skills he has, that I had horrible customer service skills. REALLY!!!!! I am the customer!!! Then when his supervisor came on the phone he was just as rude and just kept repeating the same thing over and over and would do absolutely nothing to help with the problem. He also proceeded to tell me that I had horrible customer service skills. If I treated customers the way these 2 people did where I work we would not have any customers. We will never purchase a vehicle from them again due to this happening. They are nice to you when buying something but then once you have purchased the item they do not back up the product. I am going to put this review on every place I possibly can. No customer should ever be treated the way that we were treated. Not only did they lose our business but with the negative feedback we will give friends, family for everyone person we tell this to there are 10 that those people will tell.!!!
I think there is always room for improvement. For an example, a customer that has be coming for service and has bought multiple vehicles from you should be able to get a discount of some kind weather or not they have a coupon
My experience with Ernst was wonderful!! The salesmen were knowledgeable and patient. Their no-pressure mentality was very relieving compared to my experience at dealers in other towns. I am in love with my new Toyota Avalon!!
EDIT: I was sincere when saying I would never go here again, but I guess the universe has a way if forcing my hand. Our car broke down across the street, with what turned out to be a recall issue that, for our area was assigned to Ernst. I reluctantly called, completely stuck in with awful weather to boot. They immediately had our vehicle towed over, got us a loaner and had our vehicle back to us in 2. The care we received this time was absolutely amazing! Ill be honest, Im still a little bitter about our first time, but without knowing our history with them, they still went above and beyond this time.Made an appointment just to get a couple of key fobs programmed. Wound up being there for several hours. No one knew what was going on. In the end they took so long, I was late getting my kids from school in spite of planning ahead for an early time and explaining my deadline to them after it became clear I was not a priority. When they did finally finish, the guy who did the work never spoke to me, someone else came and ushered me to a desk to pay...I questioned the work and was handed a receipt saying work completed I asked if there were any issues (because it took them SO LONG) and was told, No. Because I was running so late to get my kids I didnt have time to stand in the parking lot by myself and test everything. It wasnt until I got home I discovered 1 fob wasnt even programmed and the other 2 werent programmed correctly. I called 3 times to try to speak with someone, but apparently their staff in charge doesnt take calls and dont call customers back. Awful awful customer service. I will never give them my business again.
I bought my 2008 Ford F250 from Ernst in December of 2018. It was serviced by their service area before I bought it. I dont drive it except to tow my 14000lb camper.I finally reached 3000 mile and decided to service the truck myself. I got under the truck dropped the oil plug and went to change the oil filter and it was way smaller (half the size at most) than my new one (Mobile 1 extended performance). It was a AC Delco PF48E (for a GMC/Chevy). AC Delco 1250 is the correct one it should of had on it. With that size restriction on the filter if I would of put a load on my engine while towing my camper that filter would of restricted enough oil for my engine to fail. Then I and anyone with me would of been stranded.I can guarantee I will never buy or have work done at Ernst.
There a joke...very poor trade off offers...dont even try to work with you
Brought our vehicle for an oil change and warranty repair. Car sat for 4 days and nothing ever got done, not even the oil change. Now the vehicle is out of warranty and Im stuck paying for repairs that should have been covered.
Good prices for oil change
I bought a car from here yesterday and honestly, the saleswoman was not completely honest. First of all, I was told that the used car I purchased was still covered under ToyotaCare when I asked when in fact, it had expired in March 2019. Second, I was told that the price I negotiated included tax when it did not and I was told during financing that I would need to pay an extra $875 in state tax plus registration at the DMV. I’m disappointed with the lack of transparency that I experienced at this dealership and I don’t think I would have gone through with the purchase knowing what I know now. However, the car is nice, minus the horrible smoke odor from the previous owner that I’m attempting to eliminate.
Really helpful and took care of a simple problem quickly! Saved me from a major problem.
They did everything they could to ensure my satisfaction and to get me into the truck I wanted. Holly Williams even went out into a blizzard to help me!!
Terrible customer service. No one reaches out to answer questions or cares to get back to you. Put in an offer on the phone and salesman said Ill talk to my manager Thursday and see what he says. I called on a Tuesday. Absolutely ridiculous. Wouldnt buy a bicycle from them.
Take your business to Ernst. We have been very happy with them. Sales and service are excellent.
The bodywork done was done very professionally
Friendly service without the hassle
Holly Williams was VERY knowledgeable and professional in my experience. In due time when I do get my Toyota that Ive always wanted she will be the person at Ernst!
Quick and professional!
If you are wanting a car from Ernst you should go to Holly Williams she is the best at selling cars she will help you get a fare price on cars they have used cars and new cars but if you want a car you should go to Holly Williams her number is on there website
Hey very nice people to get a good deal
They take great care with my car
Rick and Dustin and Michelle were all great! They really care about their customers.
Great service and quick getting me in and out
Not willing to haggle at all! Customer service is awful too. Once they know you arent on board with just paying exactly what they ask they are done with you and get quite rude. Would definitely not recommend.
Great deals on auto.
Told one quote for labor per hour and charged another. Basically called me a liar and argued with me for a half an hr about the quote. Nothing was done to fix what happened and they dont even deserve 1 star. Horrible horrible experience.
Fast convenient Professional Service! Very friendly people to work with!
Good customer service, Jorge Giron is the best at selling cars
Though costly, the repair was done quickly and efficiently and the final price was less than the estimate.
Good oil change but disappointed they didn’t wash my vehicle after like every other Chevy dealer I’ve been too
Pleasant, courteous staff who are willing to help! Very professional.
Good
Stopped to look at a couple trucks. Sales person walked away and was rude. Will not buy from them.
Only problem is design & toyota company
Friendly employees. Good service.
Want to be treated like you are a loser if you dont buy a new car, then this is the place for you. Will never do business here. We were talked down to by Oscar Rodriguez. We will go back to Sid Dillon.
The saleman abuse vehicles while driving drunk. Who know who ends up with them after that? They dont deserve your business.
