First and last time going! I saw the reviews and was so excited to go! I asked to have my fingers wrapped to take the gel off and was told that’s too expensive by the tech, then was given a bucket with acetone! It took 3 hours to just do a color change on my toes, and a manicure…I was charged $95! I asked about the price as well as my nails and was told “all salons are different, your nails fine.” The powder on my nails is THIN and coming off along with the top coat after just 2 days!!! They are not smooth and also the powder goes outside of my nail bed! I will NEVER go back, and wouldn’t recommend!

I’ve just moved to the area and have been trying a few places out and wasn’t impressed at all. I thought I would give this place a try…BIG MISTAKE..I paid $70 plus tip for a full set of hombre nails (which to me was super high) website said $55 and up but I was charged $15 more why? I didn’t even get long nails…well within 4 days they started popping off…will never go there again

I spent $120 on this less than 5 hours ago. $70 for the nails, and $50 for the pedicure. I am new to the area and came here based on the Google reviews, but I have no idea why this place is rated so highly. I had the same polish used on both my toes and nails, but had two different techs. I believe the tech who did my pedicure was named Cindy and she was wonderful. She took her time and got my polish right the first time around, and left my feet soft and free of dead skin. I did not catch the name of the man who did my nails, but there were only two men there, one younger and one older. The older gentleman seemed to be doing nail designs only, and the one who butchered my nails was younger with short hair and a stringy mustache....he also mentioned that he was the cousin of the owner. I must confess that he did check in with me several times while he was doing my nails, so Im 50% mad at the job he did and 50% mad at myself for watching this slow disaster occur and not saying anything. Also, I cut him off after his 3rd attempt at a topcoat, because, by this point, no amounts of topcoats were going to help the Play-Doh-like nails I had been given. By the time he was finishing up my nails, I had been there for 3 hours. Each time he did a top coat on my gel nails, he wiped them with alcohol and they instantly turned matte and streaky. Please note that I did not have this experience with my pedicure, and they used the exact same polishes. After 3 hours in the salon and the third topcoat, I told him I would apply a topcoat at home because I was out of time. Apparently, this was an acceptable job to them (at least 2 other techs, including the owner, came and stood over his shoulder while he was polishing my nails and they both seemed to approve of the job he was doing). Also, this was one of the least professional salons Ive ever been to. Its not unusual for the techs to chat with each other in the shop, but several times I witnessed them seemingly ignore customers until their private conversations were finished, and my tech repeated put my nails on hold so he could set up face time convos on his phone, put in his ear piece and select a playlist, reply to texts, and then some. If I EVER go back here, it will be by appointment only, and for Cindy only. Save your money. Standards of quality are non-existent here.

Im new to Columbia and chose this nail salon based on its Google review rating.I have NO IDEA why this place is rated 4.1 stars?!The ambiance is terrible, its dark and dingy. No music or any kind of natural light. The floor is dirty and covered with bits and pieces of left over manicures. The tables and tins are dusty and sticky. None of the nail techs have their certifications posted?I was told masks were required (no big deal) but then the tech who did my manicure didnt wear one?The nail tech working on a customer behind me made personal phone calls on speaker phone and basically yelled full volume at her phone the entire time she worked, which was very unprofessional.As far as the actual manicure;I asked to have my cuticles done, the tech missed about 1/4th of the cuticle on each nail (probably because he couldnt see what he was doing?)I requested almond shaped acrylics. I ended up with a muppet shaped egg plant mess! Both the acrylic and the polish were just slopped on. Its lumpy, its uneven, the nails arent straight, and its very very unflattering. I have bits and pieces of polish and acrylic stuck all over my hands. At the end of the manicure he soaked my hands in an odd mix of cuticle oil and an exfoliating lotion for a hand masage, but then I was left with greasy sandy hands and arms?I will never set foot in this establishment again. I immediately went over to Les Nails in the mall around the corner and the difference is staggering. Its clean, its bright, the techs are professional (and obviously certified) and they stripped off the $75 mess that village nails did and fixed it for half the price.Dont waste your time here.

This was my first time here, and it was an awesome time. They made sure to abide by covid-19 rules, taking temperatures as you arrive and making you wash your hands.. The owner greeted me and made me feel like I had just arrived on a vacation. I was offered wine. There was great attention to details, from making sure the water temperature was satisfactory to asking how I wanted my nails. The owner was fairly new, I believe 3 weeks on the job and he was doing a great job. This is my new nail spot for sure. I told my daughter about it and she went two days later. She also had a great experience.

The staff were incredibly friendly, but I asked for a gel manicure, and they gave me something else. When I made my reservation, they agreed to the gel manicure, and when asked what I was getting upon arrival, I repeated gel manicure. I even told the technician once more before we began. He went ahead fixed my nails, and upon completion, he charged me $50 for his use of dip powder. Being somewhat new to professional nail shops, I trusted that what he was doing. When he rang up my bill, he said $50. I asked why and he said because he used dip powder, which I did not ask for. I told him this, and he said I should just pay $50.Although I appreciate the kindness, I would have appreciated if I had just received what I had asked for. If there will be a change to my order, feel free to clearly tell me, and if I deem it good for myself, I may just go ahead with it!--Update--After removing the nail job a couple of weeks later, the acrylic that the technician used without my permission left my nails very brittle and ruined their quality. This is really not OK, and I can only stress to ask the customer first before just doing whatever one wants. I have changed my rating to 1 star, and I cannot say I will be returning to this salon to get my nails done again.

I have been going to Village Nail Bar since I was about 16 or 17 and I am 21 now. I am in love with their services. I have gotten my nails done by Kate, Kevin and Danny and ALL three of them are absolutely amazing!! One thing I value more than anything is customer service and they stayed an extra 15 minutes to finish me and my nieces nails. I appreciate that more than they know. They are all so sweet and they do an amazing job with their manicures and pedicures. I have and will continue to recommend this place to my friends and family! Thank you village nail bar!!

I went here to night to get a full set. It was 7:30 and they close at 8 and I guess the lady had an attitude. She told me to go look at the colors and as I was looking she snatched the thing out of my hand while on the phone and when I ask her is this not gel colors, she did respond. She just pointed to a seat where she wanted me to sit. I sit down and she tells me to keep looking through the colors that she gave me but couldn’t even look because she kept snatching my hand away. Anyway I told her I wanted my nails short. She cuts the nails so short that they look like my regular nails. I said short but I didn’t say that’s short and I could have just got my regular nails painted if that was the case. She was being so rough and scratched me with the machine. I told her to take them off and she basically was ripping them off to point where it hurt so I just left. I will never be going there.

My nail tech left me while I was choosing a color and starting doing another clients pedicure.My color I wanted was not available and I was rushed to do regular polish…My friend also was getting her nails done and the shape was wrong as well as the length …lastly the polish was entirely too thick. The service was fine but quality in work was not to par.

One star is an over-statement. I came here with my 14 year old daughter for two full sets. My nail artist was on her phone the entire time- and my nails are unevenly filed. I showed her a picture of what I wanted- and it looks nothing like the picture. She added sparkles to my nails. My daughters design looks nothing like what she asked for, but the shape was decent. I was charged over $70 for nails that I didn’t ask for. Do not recommend.

This is my second time coming to village nail bar I went two days ago for a gel manicure & that’s when I met Danny!!! He was so nice & greeted me as soon as I walked in the door! He took his time on my manicure & cleaned my nails up so nicely before he painted them. Then I decided to get my toes done a couple days later & I was hoping for Danny again! I got him & I’m so happy because this gel pedicure LOOKS AMAZING & the effort he put into the massage was absolutely top tier! I will continue to come back & definitely highly recommend him to my friends!!!!

Went in to get 1 nail fixed and was told by Lana to go back where I came from to fix it. Unfortunately this was not an option because I had my nails done in Texas. She was extremely rude to me. After snatching my hand and examining my broken nail she bluntly confirmed she doesn’t want to do it and I should come tomorrow for someone else to do it. I’m shocked! I’ve never experienced anything like that before.

My daughter surprised me with the works a pedicure, nails and a massage and man let me tell you you from the moment I walked in Henry my new nail tech was right at the door ready for me. I didn’t have to wait he was at the front to greet me. Henry is funny, personable, and listens to what you want. He brought me a glass of wine to sip on while I got my services done. All the supplies were clean and sanitized. They have a wonderful selection of colors to choose from. I highly recommend Henry for all the services especially pedicures and massages.

I went here today for a manicure and got served immediately upon entry. Kate did a full acrylic set and she did an excellent job. My nails look exactly like the picture I showed her, if not better. If you go here, definitely ask for Kate!

I went there for mothers day to get may nails done and Ms. Mee Mee was very rude. While she was doing my nails she keep stopping to use the phone. In two to three weeks I took my nails off and notice my nail was green. I went to patient first and they have stated I have fungus that was trapped in between the acrylic.

Called at 6:50 asking how long the wait was for a pedicure and was told 15 minutes and I was like okay that’s great. I ended not being acknowledged or serviced at all for an hour. I literally was sitting waiting for an hour. Was not given updates on when I could be serviced none of that. VERY unprofessional. High don’t recommend.

I went for my nails and feet ended up leaving they were taking too long came back around 6:30 after my wax for them to take 2 hours to do my feet and no nails, they are ghetto and long winded. And do not follow simple instructions

Absolutely terrible! I travel for work so I have to find places to get refills. I wear a natural ombre and apparently this is out of the question they do not have natural colors and do not understand how to do ombre when you pick a different color. After 3 hours I left with my nails refilled in clear and painted because they looked horrible .they are thick, uneven and have crusty edges. She burned me and cut me multiple times with no regards. $50 for pure trash.

I was seen immediately when I walked in, and I appreciated the level of cleanliness. My lady was very kind, and talked to me about getting the powder dip mani instead of gel. I opted in and I loved it! Thank you guys! I’ll be back again 🙂

This experience was amazing!!! I was so discouraged because I thought I wouldn’t be able to get my nails done for my birthday, but I stumbled on this jewel of a business before I gave up looking! They treated me like a queen!! The service was impeccable and I love love love my nails and toes! The staff there even sang Happy Birthday to me and gave me a birthday cake! I now have a new nail home LOL! You will not be disappointed! Kate was amazingly talented! Henry made me smile the whole time and Helen did great on my pedicure! You’ll love it here!

I give up with the village nail bar. This the second time i been coming here and, please dont get Helen the worse. Will i come back no was it a nice place yes. Save your money and find something else.

I would give a 3.7 if I could. Overall an ok experience! Danny did my nails and they look great! He was quite rough with the tools though and three of my cuticles started bleeding... the perimeter of my nails are a little sore since they were basically hammered with file after file. But it was a nice environment, everyone was friendly, my nails look great, and the pricing is absolutely fair. The inside felt a little cramped, but it was clean. Not the best place Ive been, but I would come here again!

My mother and I thought it would be fun to get our nails done together. We both got gel manis and regular pedicures. The gentleman who did my nails was great. He took his time and was very precise. He also did my moms nails. However, two of her nails are dull compared to the rest. Our pedicures were ok. My mom and I had the same lady and she was very sweet but did nail art on my moms toes, which she did not ask for, and she was charged for it. The scrub they used on my legs made my legs insanely itchy and very uncomfortable. Every other pedicure I have had done in the past has left my feet soft and feeling moisturized. I left here with me feet feeling dry.The atmosphere isnt relaxing. One of the other employees was giving another client a pedicure, they were seated next to us, and the nail tech was either talking on her cell phone or watching videos on her phone while giving this pedicure.She was extremly loud and talked loudly to the other employees. My Mom actually checked out with her and was trying to talk to her and again she was on her phone and waved my mom off with her hand while rolling her eyes. My mom was trying to ask a question but she ignored her. The tech was quite rude and obnoxious.Overall, it wasnt a great experienc. We wont be returning again.

Ladies.. we all know how scary it is out here nowadays, but let me tell you.. Village Nail Bar is by far the safest place to come get pampered. I was very late for my appointment, but they treated me like I was early. They took my temperature and had me was my hands before getting started. Everything used on me was unpacked right in front of me and the tub where I got my pedicure had the plastic in it. I really appreciated the professionalism and will definitely be back. Come out and get cute. You wont regret it! Tell Sydy and Kate Tee Tee sent you. They are the best!

Tried Twice and Twice Disappointed!!! The first time was when I first moved to the state in 2018. The lady cut up my cuticles to the point of blood and my nails were sloppy and the acrylic started lifting within days.Fast forward to this weekend…I made an appt with a nail tech there name Kate TWO WEEKS ago for Sat and when I showed up at scheduled time she wasn’t there. Called her she moved appointment back 2 hrs….no call no notice. This went on for the rest of the day. until I finally asked if tomorrow (today) wouldbe beter. Response was yes we’re less busy (as if i was a walk in) and come at 1030. I show up at 1030 today…..no Kate. I called and texted..no response. I asked the other ladies if anyone else was available and was rudely told that “no one can do anything for you”. Needless to say I left t spend my money elsewhere. I was only trying this place again because my nail tech is in vacay. NEVER AGAIN

I just left this salon and went in with my 19 year old daughter for a gel manicure and gel fill on medium length coffin shaped nails and pedicures. My pedicure was very good and relaxing but I did have to ask the tech to retouch some of my toenails that were missing paint in spots or had paint on my skin. My daughter’s pedicure water was cold even after asking for the tech to make it warmer and she rushed my daughters pedicure. As you will see from the pics her polish was horrible even after bringing it to their attention and then trying to “fix” it instead of redoing it. I asked for mine to be basic and my daughters to be the next level up, but they did the opposite. When I tried to ask about this when paying the tech walked away from me while I was talking. My daughter was charged $50 for her gel fill because the tech said it was extra to replace 3 broken nails and an extra $10 to reshape them. When I asked why we would be charged extra for filling the shape she already came in with she changed her explanation and said it was extra because the salon before didn’t shape them right then changed to they were long. You will see by the pics that this is not the case. Not only did my daughters tech rush her entire process, she burned and filed her skin even after my daughter told her and she was on her cell phone during the entire process of doing her nails texting. Our techs names were Lily (was very good except when walking away) and Kate terrible). This salon lost business from high tipping and faithful customers that they could’ve had. Beware.

I love my nails, Danny did a GREAT JOB on my nails especially the shape. It’s so hard to find a nail tech who knows how to do nails well and Danny is great and sweet.

Based on the other reviews, this place seems like you’ll either get lucky or *very* unlucky. I was unlucky! I’m slowly trying all the nail salons in Columbia, md. I was hopeful for this because it’s a convenient location and the reviews were good. I asked for just a cut/file and no color. They still charged me $15, even though other places have discounted rates since they aren’t taking time to apply color twice (usually $10-$13). I was one of three customers in the store. The nail tech was so aggressive cutting and filling! They’re so short they hurt. I asked for short but obviously not so short it is painful. She even left scuff/scratch marks on the top of all of my nails 😳🤦🏻‍♀️. To make things worse, she had a conversation almost the entire time with a coworker across the room—basically yelling in my face.Also, just small things: the chair I sat in was dirty and there weren’t any clean towels to dry my hands on after washing them during the manicure. I’m pretty sure she walked over and grabbed one from a dirty pile to use on me.I rarely write reviews even when it’s a bad experience, but this was SO bad, I hope to save you from disappointment or get management’s attention. If I wanted to butcher my nails I could’ve done that myself! 10 minutes of terrible service for $15, no thanks.

I took my daughters here and we all got the basic manicure. Two of us added designs. The place was clean and had all the necessary COVID precautions in place. The staff was very friendly but also professional. The selection of colors was great. I’m giving them 2 stars because 6 hours after leaving the salon (after sitting at the dryer and getting some kind of quick dry spray), I reached into my cupboard, bumping my nails and two of them got messed up. I don’t know if the polish was old or just applied too thick but two nails have divots. Very disappointed!

It was my first time there and from the door they were very pleasant and professional. My pedicure from Lucy was absolutely relaxing and amazing with s nice class of wine to help me relax. Long is AMAZING! He took his time and really gave me the best pedicure I have ever had in a long time. He used brand new tools which I especially appreciated and educated me on how to properly take care of dead skin removal on my feet. He went the extra mile to give me tips on at home care as well. I 100% recommend him and this salon I’ve been going here for quite some time and have never had a bad experience.

Had the call police because I refuse the pay $43 for a bad set of nails.They tried to charged 18$ just for gel polish and my nail were a whole wavy mess.I was willing to just leave live with the awfulness but not for $43.The officer helped talk the price down to 35$. I have to get them fixed somewhere else. They post signs all over my community with fake ads and prices. Then to be told not to come back. Someone should apologize for how bad my nails look.Was willing to take them off. Was not looking for a discount just a nice nail set for a long week at work.Update:: No even a whole week and one of my nails came off from taking off my hoodie!!

The staff were polite and friendly, but I felt a bit of pressure with my nail tech trying to upsell too many times. I did not feel completely comfortable as they did not have optimal covid precautions in place, such as no plexi glass partitions between customers, nor between nail technicians and clients as some salons do. It was not crowded at the time of day I had my appointment so it made little difference that day.

The Long experience is like no other! The shops upgrades are amazing, and the service is excellent and affordable. The hot rocks with my pedicure made everything so much better. You definitely get a bang for your buck. LOVE IT HERE! ❤️❤️

I went last Thursday, it’s currently Monday the following week. I got a full set, with rhinestones. Since Thursday, 3 of my rhinestones have come off and one of my nails also popped off. it wasn’t even loose, it literally popped off like i was wearing press ons. I called and asked for my money back, after telling them i didn’t want to come get it fixed bc of the poor quality. I was told no then hung up on. i spent $70 for this set, that didn’t even last a week. not to mention, on both hands the nails with rhinestones the patterns don’t match. they used two different large rhinestones that were not the same. i was told my nails would last 3 weeks and guaranteed this, then refused a refund when it didn’t even last a week. i think this is very poor quality and management all around. if a place valued their customers, when someone was unhappy they would do anything to fix it. clearly this establishment doesn’t value their clientele.

90 minute from start to end they kept leaving me, so ling water got cold. They polish was old. The leg massage was so hard my leg is still red from the hard rubbing....Rough experience. Just putting this here so others will know to chose elsewhere. UNCLE that was bad!

I normally dont get my nails done due to my job, but i decided to start taking care of them. I went there with no appointment, but Long was ready to take care of my manicure. He was super nice, patient and helped me find the color I wanted to keep my nails looking their best. He was very detail oriented making sure each nail was looking nice and even, took his time to file them all and was careful. My experience was fantastic and i definitely will be coming back to have him take care of my manicure and pedicure. He takes good care of his customers. Would totally recommend.

About 2 weeks ago Kate did my lashes, brow wax, and full set. It was my first time getting lashes and she did an amazing job! Very patient, fast worker, and super courteous. I STILL have my lashes on and have gotten soOo many compliments not to mention I absolutely loved my nails. Village Nail Bar is fairly priced, clean, friendly and professional. I recommend to everyone!!!

I always come here with my mom to get our pedicures done and I’ve never had a bad experience. The new management is amazing and very hospitable. I also love that they line the pedicure bowl so it’s clean and fresh every use.

Oh my goodness. I have never been to such a nice salon before. And the technician Nancy was so gentle and easy with my feet. Usually I’ll walk away with my cuticles bleeding or something. Not with her. They were so polite and friendly. 15/10 would recommend and I will DEFINITELY be going back.

The establishment did not check temperatures, techs performed service with no plexiglass barriers, the quality of service when performing my pedicure was poor (I requested a different nail tech for my hands). My nails (hands) when completed were not squared as requested. The service was overpriced. I’m highly disappointed.

This was my first time at the Village Nail Bar, it’s right next door to my normal European Wax Salon, that’s how I stumbled upon it. The Village Nail Bar from moment I came through the door I was greeted in a pleasant way. They followed all Covid measures, I washed my hands and then was seated 6ft apart from the next customer. I was offered good snacks, beverages and wine.My pedicure was GREAT! Danny gave my legs and toes the Spa Deluxe Treatment! The entire atmosphere was so well kept and clean, music was pleasant and appropriate. Even those around me getting nails or other services done you could tell they were all pleased with their experience as well. The Village Nail Bar has everything your looking for in a 5star Nail Salon. This is my new Spa, make it yours too!

This was my first time going to Village Nail bar in Owings mills. I asked for a pedicure without polish . The nail technician was not friendly. When I asked her questions she answered as if she was bothered. She barely clipped my cuticles and did bot soak off my gel polish but instead filed my polish completely off without wrapping my nails . This was the worst pedicure I’ve ever received . I had to ask her to apply cuticle oil or lotion before clipping my cuticles. I paid her $45 and I tipped her $5 (even though I normally tip $20 but the service sucked ) for a classic pedicure with no polish . They charged me extra $10 because I did not get gel polish back on my toes. Do not support this business .

Got my nails done by Kate 5/14/18. First time at this salon and I was a walk in. I stated that I had worn Acrylic nails for about 3 years and wanted a break. Kate removed Acrylic without any pain what so ever! My nails were weaker but still pretty healthy underneath. She simply applied my favorite nail color and Im TOTALLY happy. Ill be seeing Kate every 2 to 3 weeks for a manicure to keep my nails HAPPY! Kate is by far the most friendly professional person I have ever had do my nails.Thanks Kate!!!Jackie

This was our first time here and I absolutely loved it. Long and Eve gave us a an amazing experience. They made sure i was happy with my nails. They were both very friendly. Long made sure i got exactly want i wanted and did not get frustrated because i am a bit picky. I highly recommend this place. My fiancé and i walked out super satisfied. I got soo many compliments on my nails. Thank you

Nice facility. Clean. The lady did a good job on my simple gel Mani and my pedi, though they didnt have the colors I wanted and had to choose the next closest shades. Total cost was $55. The lady didnt speak much English though so conversation was kept to a minimum. There was a sign that said to tip in cash. I am glad I had some cause I normally do not carry cash. They do have an ATM machine in the shop. I would go back. Maybe for something more fancy next time.

Heyyyyy I had Kate for my full set and omg I wish you guys could see my nails I’m so pleased I don’t even live in Columbia but I promise to be back... the service was amazingggggggg no wait very clean they check temps and make you wash your hands soon as you come in the door very sanitized and friendly staff

My experience at Village Nail Bar has always been fun, complete with tons of complimentary snacks and friendly vibes. Hands down the best nail salon in Maryland!

Very professional nail salon! Everyone is very nice and they are taking proper procedures with COVID-19. I get my nails Done every 2 1/2 weeks and toes done every 3 weeks. I see Kim she’s fantastic. Another person who I noticed is great at acrylic and designs is Lang.

I went to the store with my family consisting of me my wife two children and nephew. When we arrived we were told to wait after the way we started to receive our service they were speaking in another language the whole time over charging us on things that we wanted but that is not what topped it off whats happened off was they fully choked my shoes and did not reimbursement for it

Easily the best set of acrylics I’ve gotten in a long time. The technician took his time to ensure that everything was up to par. I got French ombré nails and have already gotten several compliments! The pedicure was also great. Will definitely be going back.

Kate did a spectacular job on my nails. She made a custom color for me and perfected a difficult design.

Dishonest about prices and inconsistent quality of work.I’ve been charged three different prices for the same service. I did not give much attention the first two times since the technician added extra services ( I did not request the extras, but let it go). The last time, I was quoted a price $10 lower than I was charged and the quality of work was bad for a regular mani/pedi. I paid knowing that would be my last time patronizing that establishment.

This is the best nail salon I have ever been too kate and long is so amazing and I say amazing. Polish is so neat nails are perfect every time. COVID measures are taken. So clean long and Kate is the best ever ask for them please you won’t be disappointed.

I received a gel manicure from Lucy. I was very pleased because she did a very good job with my stiletto nail. Tina did my pedicure and she pays attention to detail. They did a great job

Loved this place just got my nails done today and had a relaxing hot stone massage and was greeted with refreshments. I will be going back in two weeks and would definitely recommend!
