This place is aesthetically pleasing; however, I will not be returning. The receptionist is nice. I can’t speak on all of the workers but they will up charge you if you don’t speak up! Gel used to be the thing they push but I’ve noticed since the pandemic places are pushing powder by default without asking because the price is higher. They try to tell you what you’re getting. I come to relax and pamper myself not feel annoyed because I’m being told what to get and joked on when I’m spending my money. I hate having to be aggressive with ppl because of the image it’ll portray so I just leave and not return ever again.

I paid $90 for these 😕😑.This place is way overpriced. I wish I would have spoken up at the register and got some Of my money back. I didn’t even get a design or anything and had to pay almost $100 for these nails. They don’t even look that good either. Never coming back here.👎🏽

This was my first time at this establishment and I was very skeptical….. However the service I received was beyond any experience I have had in a very long time! Ms Tammy is an excellent technician… she went beyond my expectations… Even when I didn’t like the color of polish I CHOSE (4x’s )…she continued to work with me until I loved it (5th times the charm)💯❤️ For self care I would pay whatever I need too… so my service was the VIP that included the detox 🤩🤩🤩 I will be going back for that service in November but I will be back for a regular pedicure in 2weeks… didn’t mind the wait had no place to be….but will be making an appointment for my next one😘 Oh my and did I tell you all how gorgeous the interior is…. And they have chairs for little ones to get a pedicure…. By far The BEST spa space in Columbia that I have seen!

I have used this business for years and I was rather comfortable but it is time to move on. For the second time I have made an appointment and it was not honored and I had to wait. My appointment was at noon and when I walked in at 11:55 there was a person in the chair. No problem she is finishing up and I’m next “ why because I have an appointment “. No there was someone waiting to be served next. When I remind her that I have an appointment she said she is running behind. Then you notify your customer that you are running almost 2 hours behind.Then after I told them that someone else could do my nails they sent me to some new guy who had an attitude because I was someone’s regular customer. Needless to say he didn’t do my nails and I left.What I will not do is beg you to take my money.Very unprofessional and I will no longer patronize this business and let everyone I know if you have time to throw away that is the nail salon for you.

The place was very nice and I had my patience there. The nail tech did great work. I have been coming there for a while. Would recommend that you dont go on a weekend because it was busy today but I got done in about 35 minutes.

Ive been coming to this nail salon for over 5 years and never have I EVER been disrespected like I was today. The nail tech I had today was so rude to me. Noone gave me her name when I asked. She is the older elder short Lady that works there. She Caught an attitude because I didnt want a pedicure only a toe polish. Then got upset because I told her I only wanted gel polish on my nails not a full manicure. She throw her pink towel and told me she was no longer doing my nails and walked off. SMH!!!!! I am the CUSTOMER. If I said thats all I wanted then thats all she needed to do. Then she tried to over charge me. This was my favorite nail salon. I always traveled from Irmo cross town to come here. The lady in charge did nothing about the situation and told me I had to wait on another nail tech because the other lady didnt want to deal with me and was heated smh!!!! I spoke so highly of this place. I am so disappointed. And they have became very pricey for poor work that they give

Today was my first time visiting this particular nail salon. Number one thing you will get blinded by all the fancy decorations. This place is nasty and dirty and needs some major cleaning. I cant wait to go back to Bliss on Killian. Ive been getting my feet done for a while and have never received such poor service. The young lady never offered me a drink and clearly everyone else was getting a drink🙄. Last but not least they had nats flying around. Very nasty salon. There is also a older male had a navy blue mask on today, very nasty attitude, even pouted and threw the sponge down on the cart🤣.

This shop makes up prices as they go. Prices also change from tech to tech...never a solid set price. My nail tech quoted me $60 for a full set/ coffin shape...then was switched out to do another service. The replacement tech then quoted me $70 for the SAME service. WHAT??? They also do rushed, sloppy work. Not the least bit concerned with the customers appearance. I definitely wouldnt recommend.

This has been my nail shop for 8 or 9yrs. I am always pleased with my services. The place is absolutely beautiful and makes you love to be pampered there.All modern and up to date equipment. The owners invest in giving there clients best.

On June 9th 2021 I went to get my eyebrows, lip, and chin waxed. The woman waxed my sideburns even after I said I didnt want her to. She used one stick the entire service double dipping repeatedly. This is an illegal practice according to the board of cosmetology. I then had a horrible skin reaction and had to get medication. I went the next day with pictures asking for a refund. The owner refused to give me my money back AND she didnt even say I am sorry you jad this experience I can offer you this in a form of compensation instead. She was so nasty. During this time of Covid when we should be more careful not to spread germs this establishment should be shut down. Do not get anything done here. ****THE OWNERS RESPONSE TO MY COMPLAINT IS A LIE***

This nail salon is very nice & clean. The staff was nice for the most part. The main reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the lady who did my pedicure was super rude & told my mom she was in the way while she was putting her shoes back on. Can you say bad customer service ???? Who says that to a customer especially when we paid over $100 .

Do not like my nails at all...they look too thick, lopsided & like acrylic not gel!! Told her I wanted them short she tells me youll see theyll be short but I was trying to tell her was too long. Then one hand is longer & design on one hand is not correct or looks too different. I paid but I do NOT like my nails! I want to just take them off & might this weekend...smh. This was a treat for my birthday & I was too disappointed.

Terrible place. Looks super fancy but they dont take their time and do everything you are paying for. If you dont notice, they will quickly skip a few steps for your pedicure and manicure. I wont be coming back. Pedicures last a total of 15 minutes, get you in and out while skipping all the steps and not taking their time. Poor work and poor behavior.

I booked appointment and they seen me wait for 2-3 hours and did not acknowledge me ! So I told them take my name down and number and they did not ever call me back . So I called them and they said the lady I booked just started a new one and they told me come back tomorrow. Terrible management!

If you’re thinking about going to Venus Nails DON’T! Went there and paid $82. $47 for BASIC pedicure with gel polish and she didn’t do everything in the pedicure she extremely rushed it. Wanted a BASIC manicure with gel polish which she said was $37. Which is ridiculous because on the menu it said $20. My “gel “ is looking like straight acrylic VERY RUSHED and NOT done well. I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK.

I recently got my nails done by Jenny/Jennifer. She told me she was able to do a design I showed her and when she attempted it was NOTHING near the picture I showed. So I changed what I wanted and after 3 attempts of trying to get her to understand what I wanted none were correct. She had an attitude the whole time because when she did my white tips she only did one coat to the point that I could see through the nail polish. She didn’t even fully paint my nails. The top of my nails are not paint and neither are the sides of my nails. This is one of the worst experiences I’ve had at any nail salon. I was going to get a pedicure as well but after my nails I declined and decided to take my business elsewhere.

Ill start with the con b/c there is only 1. I didnt like that my nail tech told me to wait for 3mins after she applied the last coat over my SNS nails, but came back less than 45sec later and put the oil over my nails and told me to go wash my hands. After doing that it smeared my nails and she says to oh you mess them up.. LMAO, Im like No, you told me to go wash even though a whole minute had not even passed after you said to wait 3mins. I just brushed it off though b/c the people in there are nice and sweet folks. Barriers are bound to happen due to the culture difference and it doesnt mean that one person is good or bad. I liked my experience all around. She fixed it for me and they were all so patient with me since I was going in for my first SNS service and I love my nails! They did an awesome job, I dont remember my techs name but it was my first time ever going and I appreciated all their work and patience with me picking out my colors and explaining how SNS works. Im happy with the results. And the SNS makes your nails grow out quick. I got it over my natural nails and its already growing out and they havent chipped or broken in the many times Ive banged my nails against things since I got the service done. Thanks Venus Nails Spa, you guys made it a safe and good experience.

The gel polish does not last. I got a gel pedicure a couple of weeks ago and the polish started to peel a couple of days later. Today I got a gel manicure, its only been a few hours since I’ve left Venus Nails & Spa. I now have bubbles in my polish and its also starting to peel!

Ive been going here for some time now and I dont like it. Some of the nail techs are rude and certain ones are sloppy and snobbish. I kept getting stuck with the same guy that I always had problems with my nails within a week. I told the guy that sat me, I dont want this person because I dont like how he does nails, theyre very thin and never lasts more than a few days. I cant with this place. If you try to get an appointment with one of the good techs they are always booked and the other techs are hit and miss. Think twice before going to Venus.

I’ve been going to Mai for a little over a year, and she is amazing! She takes her time and makes sure she communicates with you so that (1) you’re not ambushed with a price (2) to make sure you’re getting the exact work you’re asking for. The place is always clean and the staff is very professional with quality service.

Ive been to this place twice and while they are a little pricey, Ill pay more to not feel like Im in a back alley nail salon. They always do a really great job and Ive found are more friendly and understanding than most places Ive used around here.

Extremely rude people/serviceRushed thru my pedicure and manicure as fast as she could.They acted like my 3 year old who wanted color was an inconvenience, but charged me $10 still.Ontop of all that cut my daughters finger. Didn’t even bother to tell me until I asked what happened.When I confronted the person in charge, he was the one who actually did it.... and proceeded to tell me it was her finger that had the problem and that he took $5 off the bill.So I paid for a pedicure/manicure for myself. Pedicure was fine but absolutely not relaxing, my manicure is incomplete (really should have done it at home) I paid for my younger to get color, which she tried to ignore her color request three times. And my oldest to get injured. $66 The price is not the problem, it is 100% terrible service. Very disappointing... definitely won’t go back at all.

Literally got my nails done this wedding it’s now Saturday and i have 2 that are completely snapped off( done by technicians Kayla). I only recommend Lenny and Jenifer. It’s a nice salon but make sure you request someone who will not het over on you on prices this lady charged me $100 for THEE most basic set of REGULAR ACRYLIC NAILS. I feel bad for cheating on my regular tech.

I received the most horrible service ever when I walked in no one greeted me. The man who did my nails basically rushed on my nails, I got acrylic nails and he put some of them on crooked. I had to tell him to redo my nails then when he was putting the polish on he just slapped the polish on, he didnt even make an attempt to correctly polish them. lastly he sat me under the nail dryer, and told told me he was coming back to apply the clear coating. He never came back I had to literally walk up to him to remind him, all he said was Oh Yeah . Another lady had to put my clear polish on because he was working on another customer. Here I am a week later and my nails are fading away with dark spots on them. This was the worst service every they will never see me again

Facility: Clean, neat, very organized. All employees workers wore a mask. Stations were clean to the naked eye. The feel of the environment was calm and relaxing. They have like little chandelier light bulbs on the ceiling. A water fall wall. It is we up scale.Pricing: For some reason I could only get gel polish, they stated that by law they cant do acrylic. 🤷🏾‍♀️I took my step daughter (10) and neice (7yr old birthday) my niece $37.00 for a full manicure with four designs. And I got an ombre set (white), my s.daughter got a full set (short) (pink and blue), that was 115 for me and her, so all together I paid 152.00😳 Moving on👉🏾Technician: I didnt get her name but she is the only person who does ombre nails. She talked with me, her English was great. She was sweet.✨Quality: its a five out of ten. A few things I would correct but I was pressed for time that day but it was an in and out process for three people with three techs. But all and all they all did great!We enjoyed our visit✨💜

Was pleasantly surprised by the size of this place. The staff was friendly and patient, they used a bag inside the pedicure bowl which they threw out after, they opened a pack of disposable pedicure items in front of me and used them. The only reason I didnt give them 5 stars is because it was a bit warm inside.

My experience at Venus Nails was phenomenal. If your want an excellent pedicure ask for Angie she is very gentle, thorough and detail oriented. Tung is the guy that you want to do your nails. He is very nice to talk to and he makes you feel very comfortable.

I got my toes polished with white gel polish...came out cute, but 3 days later, it chipped. A waste of $25. Got a full set and asked Mike(I believe thats his name)for the shape squoval and he shaped my nails wide, which was not wht I asked for and they definitely didnt look normal...not like the shape of my real nails. I just wanted to get out of there after I got shocked by the uv lamp while the nails were curing. This is the second time Ive gone to this shop and I remembered at the end the reason I havent made them permanent. I will never return there...the shop was neat and the ppl were nice tho. A waste of $70 but I did tip, but I would never return or refer anyone here.

My gel manicure is absolute trash and I look like a mess on my vacation. I am VERY disappointed!!! Polish started peeling only TWO DAYS later. This is unacceptable. I have 5/10 nails completely peeled off. Also, my pedicure is smudging. I just don’t understand.

I went here, on a Saturday with no appointment and was seen very quickly. They were super nice! I had just gotten my nails done at another place on the Tuesday before (so not even 5 days) and they were awful. I needed to get them fixed and this place did a great job! I will definitely be making this my regular place!Also, the pictures of the inside of the salon need to be updated! It’s grown, and is huge! They have a lot of employees and seats! It’s a very nicely decorated place. I felt comfortable and peaceful!

Horrible customer service and the worse nail work ever. I took my daughter and niece there for my niece birthday to get them pampered.... The kids were happy but I was not pleased with their services to them. My niece old nail polish was still visible and they placed too much polish on my daughter’s hands and feet (polish on her skin). Although they’re kids, their money is still the same money that paid for a better service than what was provided. It’s very obvious that they rushed their services but charged me as if they gave them the best services there is to offer. The salon is beautiful unfortunately their level of work/professionalism left me very dissatisfied, we will not return.

There should be an option for no stars. I have sat in this place for 3+ hours. I simply wanted a full set, and have been seated twice. Both times they said they couldn’t do a full set. So, I patiently waited until my turn. I will not return to this place ever again. If you want good nails go to Posh on Killian. The customer service was good, but waiting this long is ridiculous.

This is definitely a relaxing, comfortable atmosphere to get your medi/pedi done. The technicians actually take their time to give you your moneys worth.

The service was the worst Ive ever had at a nail salon. The technician was awful! She clearly was not experienced and completed my pedicure in under 30 minutes. Her technique was completely wrong! I definitely complained to her about the poor job shed done when she asked me if everything was good. She had to remove the nail polish and go get another technician to come clean up her mess. They even messed up on my eyebrows as one was arched and the other one was not. Folks beware! This place looks beautiful inside, but its evident that your treated as a number and not a valued customer. My 14 year old daughter was even played out of additional money by her nail technician by being told that gel polish was cheaper than regular polish. Who does that? Please take your services elsewhere unless you have money to throw away!

I walked in today to get a pedicure. Im 7 months pregnant and can no longer do my own pedicure. The whole experience was wonderful. The establishment is very clean and beautiful. The staff is very nice. I paid $28 for the mineral pedicure and, because the service was so good, decided to get a full set on my finger nails, too! $56 +tip for a mini spa day for my big, pregnant self was awesome. My husband was excited that I didnt break the bank with it! Most other places would have charged well over $80.
