Being a full-time RVer, I am always hard pressed to find a great salon. But I found one! The store is very clean and welcoming but, best of all, Michelle did a wonderful job on my partial highlight and trim!! Prices are very fair!! I would highly recommend this shop and I will return!!

My highlights like like straw popping out around my face & on top of my head. The stylist took zero consideration of styling the color around my face. I have had better coloring done at the local cosmetology school for 1/8th the price! I returned soon after to have the harshness taken down/out and they charged me to fix it!?

Patty was wonderful and did a fantastic job.10/10. will be coming back to visit her when I need my hair done again. Im so happy with the work she has done.

I get my hair done by Holly at The Look. She is amazing! Not only does she exceed my expectations when I tell her things I want to try, but she also is great at undoing the poor hair care choices I tend to make at home. I have very kinky curly hair and so many people have botched it over the years, but Holly has restored my faith and made me proud to wear my hair down. By far the best person Ive ever had for my hair, and Ive tried so many different stylists over the years. The Look is full of fun people and Holly has helped me find new colors and styles I never would have known I could try with my hair. They are just the best at The Look!

I have very thick hair and it usually takes people about 4 or 5 hours to do my it. When Holly told me she could have it done in 3 hours I was honestly a little worried. Its been a LONG time since someone has been able to do a heavy highlight, wash, and blowout in only 3 hours! I was so excited to be able to book with her early in the morning on a weekend and still have the rest of the day ahead of me! Check out Holly!

They were supposed to dye my whole hair platinum but instead just highlighted it and still charged me full price and wanted to charge me again to dye it two weeks later.

Holly has been doing my hair for at least 5 years now. Shes my favorite! She is a kind person and an excellent stylist. Im usually uninspired when I show up to my appointments (my work doesnt allow crazy hair colors 😔) but she has found beautiful natural colors that make me look good!Highly recommend Holly for cuts, colors, or anything else!

The Look is awesome. My wife has been going there for a long time & has been to Mary Anne & Robin. She is very happy with both stylists & the service. The facility is clean & stylish & obviously the owners take a lot of pride in their business. Well worth making the appointment with these ladies!

This salon is the best salon in Columbia. I called them short notice, and they very happily squeezed me in, not even knowing that I was in the middle of an all-out hair crisis.I was VERY warmly and genuinely welcomed by every single one of the women in there, even the ones that were busy with other clients. I was immediately seen by Erin, who did a seriously bang-up job on the train wreck of a hairdo I walked in with.Erin went the extra mile to please me, was so very kind and gentle, and truly made my hair look EXACTLY like the picture I showed her of what I wanted done. She spoke very respectfully to me, cared about my wants, and shared some very fun parts of herself, giving me that personal touch of customer service that is nearly impossible to find.All the while, all of the other employees kept a very interesting and lively conversation around the room with a very warm sense of customer appreciation and overall calmness, confidence, and happiness with their jobs.I absolutely love this place and will never go anywhere else again!Thank you, Erin! The Look is the best hair salon in Columbia! I’ve been going there for 20 years. Great color/highlights and haircuts. But the best part is the staff. They are so friendly, and work with you to give you the best look!

Someone said I should try The Look for short hair so I did. She washed my hair even though I didnt want that because I just washed it myself and then she barely trimmed my hair. I asked for more to be taken off but it still looked exactly the same and she seemed annoyed. I go to pay and they charged me $42 plus tip! Im a single mom and thought it would be like $20 since she barely touched my hair, but instead paid the price of 2 cuts at any other decent salon. The stylist was very nice during the cut and thats why I give them a star at all. Just be prepared to pay more than average for average.

Went in over the weekend for a cut, wash and style . My appointment was for 1030. I arrived 15 minutes early and was not acknowledged until 15 minutes later when my hairdresser asked the front desk clerk who I was & and I was not in the chair until 11 ( which is fine, I’m patient ) but I was told after getting my hair washed that they were not able to dry or style it due to the fact that “ they were running behind schedule “. Im assuming she was afraid to style my hair since I’m of color and she didn’t know what she was doing . I still had some pieces of dandruff in my hair as she was combing it out and mentioned I had a dry scalp ( if you wash my hair, I shouldn’t see any pieces left behind ) . At the check out she charged me for the full service even though I didn’t receive everything as scheduled . I had to walk outside with wet hair in 30 degree weather bc they “didn’t have enough time “. I’m absolutely disgusted. If they were not able to give me my complete service they should’ve notified me before starting on my hair not half way through . After blow drying my hair and straightening it I later could see that the cut was all over the place . It was choppy and uneven . Very disappointed.

On Tuesday October 29, 2013, I had hair stylist Erin H. take out the sew-in extensions she had put in my hair two months prior. She removed them and un braided the tracks, I then looked at and felt my hair, everything about my hair was just as it had been before the extensions. She then, DID NOT brush my hair before she washed it, my dead hair from the braids, along with threads, and some of the real human hair extensions were tangled with my healthy hair when washed it in the bowl. After she towel dried it, I was told that I had one big dreadlock. I was never shown the mess, or asked what I wanted done about it. Without my permission, immediately stylists drenched my hair with oil and started to detangle. Every hairdresser in the studio took part in detangling my hair form 11:30am-5pm, there were times that I had three people at once tugging at my hair. The detangling was painful, with lots of yanking, and pulling of hair out of my scalp. I now have random lengths of hair, multiple sections only four inches long. Im astonished that I was never notified that stylists were breaking my healthy hair at such short lengths. If I had known that I was going to be left with 3/4 less hair on my scalp, and random lengths of hair all over my head, I would have left and gone elsewhere to work on the disaster. The situation I was put in was 100% preventable, if my hairdresser had just brushed my hair before washing it. The carelessness of this studio astonishes me. Two days later, my scalp was still achy, hair is patchy on my scalp, and thinner than ever. I demanded the $200.00 back that I paid to have the extensions put in, and a reimbursement on the $48.00 hair cut I had to get, in order to try and fix my now highly damaged, and broken hair. The Look reimbursed the $48.00, but that is all that they will do for me. Im disgusted with the poor quality of service, care, and professionalism that I received from The Look. Its truly sickening that a salon offers a service which they are ignorant in and careless with. ZERO STARS.
