Several months ago Cool Care came out to replace the entire duct system on one side of my house as well as correcting problems with return sizing. They were excellent, and the airflow has been so much better throughout the house.Today John and Bryant came to the house in order to move a duct and AC vent on the other side of the house due to a remodel of the pantry. They were super polite, quick, and efficient. Exactly what I needed and ahead of the schedule I expected. John and Bryant did a great job eliminating the mess from cutting sheetrock and everything was as good or better than when they started. Cannot say enough good things about both trips to my house and the work done.THANKS!!!
I was very impressed with cool care all the way around! The front office staff was very delightful to work with and prompt in getting back to me when I had questions. Being a female living alone it is very hard trusting certain companies to not take advantage of you when it comes to work being done and prices. After having two bad experiences with two over HVAC companies I decided to try cool care and I am so happy I did.Not only was my entire unit replaced in one day but my technician John was so kind and helpful. The day after my unit was put in, all of the electricity in my house went out. I called John and he came out and looked to see if the new unit had anything to do with this issue. Come to find out I had a loose wire in one of my electrical sockets that he fixed out of the kindness of his heart on a Saturday! He could have easily left and told me to call an electrician.I have had my unit for about two months now and I have noticed a difference in my bill as well. I am beyond happy with Cool Care and will not only refer them to anyone I know but continue to use them!

Jody and Russell were amazing. They both walked me through everything they were doing. They installed a new AC system, and heat sealed my ducts and replaced the thermostat. My AC went out. I called my HVAC company only to find out they went out of business. I went to reviews on the web and found Cool Care 24 hr service. I called Cool Care Heating & Air. Cool Care Heating & Air stepped in and saved the day. They answered the phone. The person answering the phone was great. She was polite, kind and listened to my problem. They have great communication. I was told when the tech would be arriving, when the tech was on the way to the house and they did a follow up. Jeremain was wonderful. He was knowledgeable, polite and explained everything that he did and why. He had the parts needed to get my system back running. This was one of the best experiences that I have ever had. I have now made this my HVAC company. Being in my sixties I wanted a company that was reasonable, dependable and knowledgable. Cool Care is that company and I would recommend them for all your HVAC needs. Job well done !!!
We’ve been using Cool Care for a few years now. They completely replaced one of our 3 units when it went out two years ago. The owner personally came out and walked me through the whole process and cost options. The following year our dog got under the house and destroyed all the ducts. They came out quickly and had repaired everything the next day. Our 10+ year upstairs unit went out recently and they came out and the technician, Angel, was great! We thought the unit was done for, but he was able to diagnose the problem and fix it. A week later it’s still going strong! Very knowledgeable staff both in and outside of the office. The woman who I spoke with on the phone answered all of my questions and was extremely pleasant despite my lack of HVAC knowledge. Will definitely be sticking with them for years to come!

When I was a Realtor, the buyer of one of my homes used Cool Care to obtain an A/C letter. The letter claimed that multiple problems existed with the homes A/C system and a extensive bill to repair. I obtained a 2nd consult personally going over each line with with the technician. We found that none of the problems existed.
Cool Care has changed out my equipment for several of my properties. The process is always smooth and effortless. The install coordinator, Taylor, is very knowledgeable and communicative. The technician was courteous however didn’t seem totally knowledgeable, he had to call his boss to troubleshoot my problem. After the call he found a burned out fan control board which had to be ordered. Had the new board installed 5 days later at a cost of $600. I found the board on google and Amazon for under $50. Sure expensive for an hours worth of work and a cheap part.
Could not be happier with Cool Care and the two units we’ve replaced over the last couple of years. We continue to be pleased with tech support and maintenance - Matt performed our annual maintenance last week and went above and beyond answering questions and checking system operations that were technically not included in this service call. He took extra time to make sure we were satisfied. Highly recommend!
A tech at cool care was going to charge $900 to tighten a flare fitting because he said refrigerant was leaking. Do not use this company. They will rip you off.
Tech inexperienced so charged maximum fee to diagnose unknown problem. $560. Like all mechanics charged based on book not actual time. Issue found in 10 minutes and part cost $25. Owner said he would review. Heard nothing after 2 weeks and several call. Long time customer no more. Lousy customer care.

Called and explained the problem directing to the exact issue. Needed new transformer ugh at costs approximately $30. Technician quotes $342 and didn’t even have one on the truck. Called back and verified that I heard Corey that it would be $342 for a $30 part and he confirmed. Highway Robbery!!!
John, Lewis and Zac did an awesome job replacing my entire HVAC system. Fast, friendly and great to work with. Polite, professional and all of the above. Took the time to explain everything and made sure system was working properly. Even had to change settings in thermostat to make system work correctly due to another local company, who I will not name, programming it wrong.

Did not hire these guys, they were hired for the inspection on the home that I was selling. They left the power off at the condenser unit outside over Christmas. And left me without heat for the holidays. All i was asking for was a reimbursement for the service call for the company I hired and the owner was less than helpful. Do not recommendReply, your telling me that you offered me 100$ for reimbursement after you kept telling me that you were not going to pay a dime, I had to pry that out of you, and by the way have yet to see a cent of that 100$ . Extremely unprofessional and I will tell everyone I can how unprofessional you were as owner of the buisness.

I have been so impressed with this company. When all other HVAC companies have double and tripled their prices, Cool Care has maintained a reasonable price without sacrificing their professionalism. I am a real estate agent and call on Cool Care frequently to perform inspections and they are always on time, they provide reminders and a heads up phone call when the inspector is on the way. The office staff is top notch and answer the phones quickly and respond to my (probably too many) requests with patience and haste! What a combination! I have been a customer of Cool Care for around 6 years. They have installed my gas logs and installed and maintained my hvac system. Long story short, the unit installed a few years ago had numerous issues (no fault of Cool Care) and required a lot of service calls. The final verdict a couple of months ago when the system just stopped working was that it was a lemon. Cool Care contacted Carrier and the hvac system was replaced. I am so happy with the new system and my power bills have drastically dropped. Every single tech that came to my home was always so nice and professional. Always on time and on occasion called to see if they could come early. In the midst of all the issues with my old unit, the owner, Kenny Wardlaw, came to my home on a Saturday to try to get the system to work.I love using local and family owned businesses-they just seem to care more about the quality of service.In this day and time -that means a lot from a company!
Extremely disappointed in the lack of professionalism. Unfortunately we used this company to replace our ductwork and it was by far the WORST experience weve ever had with any service company. Terrible customer service and they charged my credit card for 1/2 of the cost ($2700) without my authorization over a month before the job was completed. Tried to resolve multiple issues with the owners but have not received a response. Will be filing a complaint with the BBB related to damages we feel they were responsible for.The owner doesn’t respond to the negative reviews on here. Obviously residential customers are not their top priority.Also their crew tracked 2 cigarettes butts in my house but they are so concerned about “clean air”. They are full of it.
These guys did great work. We apparently had a clogged system and I have to say it took them about 30 minutes. They were ahead of schedule and was able to get here quickly. I have to say I highly recommend them for service. My house wasnt even clean and I didnt even feel judged. It was too hot to even get it cleaned and they were professional, forthcoming and answered questions. Without a doubt, request their services.
I would highly recommend Cool Care!My 20 year old HVAC unit needed to be replaced after multiple issues and it just didn’t make sense to pay hundreds in repairs with a unit so old and flakey.These guys were great from the quoting me a new unit, installing it, doing the Aeroseal for my ducts and everything in between. They were always on time (or even early) very professional and friendly! I have to give a shout out to John, he installed my unit and was so helpful and to Taylor who was so easy to correspond with! I was introduced to Cool Care at a city gathering and learned how much Kenny and his staff knew about old systems and new rebates. Cool Care added insulation, replaced my 38 year old furnace and replaced my ductwork in my 100+ year old house. He guided me thru the process and assisted by obtaining rebates and I was thrilled to have someone that was willing to walk me thru the process that I felt I could trust.I love that they are now available during normal off hours because that is usually when something stops working.Thanks !

Although the technician fixed the problem he also kept try to remove a piece of equipment on my intake that he said I didnt need. I researched online and called the manufacturer and they told me that this is a valuable piece of equipment and not to let him remove it. Seems like all the companies are crooked. We have tried them all. Once you prove that you arent trustworthy, I am done with you. Lies lies lies.

Cool Care HVAC came highly recommended when I sought assistance regarding a mold problem within my home due to an apparently faulty HVAC installation on a home I purchased. After two inspections (one by a a mold remediation company and one by CoolCare) I was informed the mold had permeated my entire HVAC system including my ductwork. Since neither my home warranty company nor my homeowners insurance company covered for mold I had to personally pay for replacing the HVAC system, including ductwork. Mr. Wardlaw, owner of Cool Care personally came to my home, did the initial inspection and after carefully explaining his findings and recommendations, I made the decision to replace my entire system. I felt neither pressured but well informed as he went over each detail of the process with me. Although it was a major investment it was one I felt comfortable doing as I felt my familys health was worth the cost. Mr. Wardlaw and his team of HVAC installers, especially Alex and his crew, who did the unappealing job of dismantling the old system, and Ms. Taylor, who kept me apprised and informed along the way), provided professional and personal service. Everyone I encountered was polite, knowledgeable and never made me feel as if I was a bother, asked too many questions or got in their way. They even welcomed my presence when I went under the house with them where they pointed out their findings and showed me the state of my old system. On the first night after my newly installed HVAC system, I could tell a marked difference: the air quality was much improved (the smell of dampness was gone from the air)my AC did not constantly run anymore and after the second week, the DampRid containers I had throughout my home have little to no moisture collecting in them. I now do not wake up in the middle of the night coughing and my other family member who has respiratory issues no longer wakes in the night or mornings sounding as if they are coughing up a lung. I cant tell you how pleased I am with the service and new HVAC provided by CoolCare and would recommend them to anyone whether they need seasonal maintenance, want their system checked or need a complete install, like I did. Thank you, once again, Mr. Wardlaw and staff, for a very pleasant and comforting experience!!! 10 stars!!!

Great experience. The technician came into my home with mold damage and walked through the HVAC issues that led to the problem. We ended up sealing the duct work to help with the moisture, air quality and efficiency. No more coughing. The explanation for our issue was well communicated and the install was followed through all the way to the end. The experience was fantastic as we knew we had a problem but had no idea how to get it completely fixed. Very professional and knowledgeable and they even helped with a rebate, yippee.

My AC went out over the weekend and I called several companies to come out but they charged an outrageous weekend rate. I called Cool Care and they did not charge a weekend rate, and they sent someone to my house within the hour. The tech answered all of my questions and had me up and running within the hour. As a single mother of three kids, I appreciated the savings. Wish I could give 10 stars!!
Poor business practices. I called on 7/27/20 and set a realty inspection for Thursday 7/30/20 at 2:30. When I arrived at 2, the technician was already there and speaking to the agent about his findings. When asked what he found he said the unit needed to be replaced. I asked the technician if he had looked at the duct work in the attic. He said he couldnt find the location, so I took him inside and showed it to him. Thinking that he was going to get his ladder to complete the work, the agent and I went inside and waited; he was sitting in his truck I assume writing his findings. Approximately 30 minutes later when he didnt come back inside we went outside to see what was taking so long and he had left. I called the office and the young lady, after several phone calls back, and forth finally said he left because he couldnt get in the attic, the opening was too small. First of all, I had others there inspecting, the attic as well, one of which was BIGGER than he, and he went up with no problems! Secondly, he didnt tell me or the agent that he wasnt able to get up there, rather he just left without finding a resolution or payment. When I called back is when the information was relayed to me and the CSR stated she could send him back out to complete the repairs. We all had left because we had other appointments and had already been there almost 3 hours. So the agent called back and set another appointment the following day for someone to come out the next day at 4:30 p.m. First of all, he did not complete the work the same day and I had to make arrangements for 4:30 on a Friday! Secondly, no one from the office called me back to inform me, the payee, what was the conclusion was. Thirdly, I waited to receive a call from the office so that they could tell me what was going on and receive payment (which I had written a check and if the technician hadnt left so abruptly would have provided it to him) NO ONE CALLED-not even to apologize for inconveniencing me, rather payment was the discussion along with her telling me why he said he didnt go up. I called back after hours on Friday explaining the situation to her. The first words that she stated was the report would not be released until payment was received. No problem, again. but asked I to speak to the manager so I could express my concerns about how they inconvenienced me and how I felt there should be a compromise on the payment. I was told she would try to reach her but it was after hours and they were gone for the weekend and she would pass the message along to have her contact me and again kept speaking of payment. Let me be clear, I told her I have NO PROBLEM with payment, however because they didnt complete the job on the first visit, they did it late on Friday, it put me in a tight situation because I was at the end of my due diligence and I was told I would receive the report that evening and didnt; not knowing until I spoke to the CSR AFTER I made payment they would send it, and it wouldnt be that night, rather an additional 2 days. No problem again as far as payment was concerned. What I do have the problem with no one called me to even notify me that they had completed the inspection and inquire about receiving payment. When asked to speak to the manager, no one attempted to try to do so. And I was told she would call me on Saturday. That NEVER HAPPENED. I ended up calling back and again talked about payment and needing the report. In my opinion, when that call came in to them after hours, I should not have been given an excuse he couldnt get up in the attic and they cant make him do it. THAT IS APART OF THE INSPECTION! When I called back on Saturday, (because again the manager was supposed to contact me and didnt) payment again was discussed, and that the report would be emailed to me on Sunday AFTER they received payment. Another day wasted. What was discussed? A payment! They received it and this complaint to BBB. Poor service, lack of candor and money is their goal, not quality and no masks per your protocol were worn!
Late Saturday before Thanksgiving 2018 I was getting ready to leave town and my heat went out. Stressed out b/c temps were in the 20s, cool care showed up SUNDAY for $100!!! I was blown away. They got my heater limping along until it could be replaced after my trip. I was so shocked and happy they came so quick and cheap on a Sunday! Only company I will use is SC
Unprofessional, HVAC worked prior to their inspection and they refused to take responsibility to fix the issue. We recently had our HVAC serviced prior to the inspection by another company and it was working properly when I left that morning. Dont waste your money on this company, no accountability whatsoever. *update* the technician that inspected my unit put the power source to unit in backwards and blew my compressor on my unit,and also suggested I get a damper for my unit.they wanted to charge me $200 just to look at it again and didnt include the price of the dampener. I spent the entire weekend without air flowing in my house. I had to call another HVAC service to replace my compressor and was told I didnt need the dampener our unit already had one.
Wrote an earlier review that described an issue that I had with service from Cool Care. One of the owners, Teresa, called me that day. She apologized for my situation and offered me a remedy that I thought was more than fair. She also informed me about her and her husbands background in the business and how important good customer service is to their company. I really appreciate speaking with her and her excellent service recovery.

The thing I appreciated the most about Cool Care was the excellent customer service. We are on the way to getting good results as well for our HVAC system, but Cool Care promised not to stop working until we were satisfied. They sent out multiple people, and really worked to make sure I felt good about all they were doing. I have a variable refrigerant flow, geothermal heat pump system. Its energy efficient and state of the art but also very complicated. My installer was never able to set it up right. Neither was the second HVAC company I hired. Finally a friend referred me to Cool Care and I couldnt be more pleased. They got my system working and continue to fine tune it. They are professionals and they care. I am blown away by their service and highly recommend them for HVAC installation and service work.

My AC went out on Wednesday and I called and was able to get a fast response from Cool Care. They did not get to my house until after 9:00 pm although the window slot was 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. I did not care about the time because my only concern was getting air since I have small children. Once the technician arrived he went in the attic and told me my blower was out and it would cost $607 to install the blower and the fee for coming out. I told the technician that I spoke with someone at the office and she said that the $100 would be waived for any service that was rendered. He claimed that they had just recently changed this policy but since the lady told me that over the phone, he would honor it. I told him to replace it and paid the $507. He said the air would slowly get back to the appropriate temperature and he set it to 72. Once I woke up the next morning the air did not budge. It was still 84 from the prior day. I called again and they told me a senior technician would be coming out. He came and inspected the attic, the return inside the house and checked outside. He discovered that the unit was leaking and causing ice to be on the line. He told me to not let anyone talk me into further repairing the unit. I explained to him what took place the day before and he said that the blower was never the problem. He told me that they normally would give me a partial refund because people are always looking for a use blower. I called to see if I could get any type of reimbursement for an improper diagnostic. I was told unless I buy an ac unit from them that I would not get anything back. They told me that it is clearly stated on the invoice. I asked the owner/founder to resend it and there is nothing stating that. The owner also told me that I could buy a compressor and it would fix my unit. Please be careful of companies like this that will diagnose you just to get money. I will be contacting consumer affairs to see if I need to go to small claims court.
We recently replaced our 30 year old Lennox system with a brand new, high efficiency Trane unit, and we couldnt be more pleased with Cool Care. From cradle to grave, they were with us through the whole process, making recommendations and communicating regularly. The install technicians were hard working, respectful, and courteous; what else could you ask for, really. Our Project Manager, Andy, made sure we were in the loop and checked in with us daily to make sure we were happy. He came back personally to knock out a few punch items. This company is the absolute worse! I heard one of their employees say that they feel bad for one of their techs that is a veteran and just came back from deployment because they have cut his hours and he doesn’t know how he is going to be able to support his family if they continue to cut his hours. I pray that this isn’t true of Cool Care doing this to one of our Veterans in our community. They’ve protected us and we should do the same for them.
Living in South Carolina means you need to have a reliable and efficient AC system (pretty much year round). Anytime I have issues, Cool Care is quick to come out, identify the issue and then fix it for me at a very reasonable price. They are professional, honest and unbelievably easy to work with! I would highly recommend them.
When it comes to staying cool, these folks are the hottest ticket in town! Regardless of how busy they are, same day service by prompt, professional technicians seems to be the norm ... and at reasonable prices. But thats only half the story. From the office staff to the field reps, customer service is key. Cool Care or Customer Care, either name fits. Its the Care that counts!
It was 104 degrees out when my AC unit stopped working. I called Cool Care and they had a service tech sent out to me just 2 hours later. The service tech was friendly, knowledgeable, and honest. He had my unit fixed in no time and didnt track dirt or insulation all over my carpet like the cable guy did when he had to go into my attic.I will be using Cool Care from here on out and I would recommend them to anyone that need repair or replacement work.
Great experience from start to finish. I was able to reach the management team over the weekend and arrange a fast appointment. Cool Cares technician, Tom, was on time, knowledgeable, clean, and not pushy. He found a simple problem as well as pointed me to the fact that my 20 year old system would likely need to be addressed sooner rather than later. Thanks a million!

Our upstairs AC has been competing with the outdoor temperatures since Thursday. My mom called Cool Care and not only did she actually speak with Ms. Teresa close to 10 pm they are true to their word. The HVAC professional is a Veteran and his name is Carl, he arrived on time, was very friendly and really took his time to figure out what the problem was. Sadly the unit could not be fixed but he was honest and did not try to do like other companies do like trying to put a quick fix on the unit and then say it was completely repaired. When we get our new unit we are definitely calling Cool Care Heating and Air to install it!
This was our first time using Cool Care. They helped us get our new Gymnastics center (Soda City Gymnastics) warm again! Absolutely the most professional company weve worked with so far in this industry, and the customer service was off the charts! Well be using them for any and all repairs in the future for sure! These people are crooks, all they care about is getting the most money that they can out of you . If you want to pay 400 dollars for a 5 dollar part go ahead and use them.
Cool Care is an incredible company! I have been with two different companies during the last 20 years --each one managed to sell a new unit to me and each one was paid regularly for the maintenance of their unit. Needless to say, I am not an expert, but started wondering about the fact that the technicians spent less and less time maintaining the unit and more time sitting in their cars. Today of all days with 100+ degrees outside, the air conditioner went on total strike. After reading some reviews on the company, I called Cool Care for the first time in my life. The receptionist was super friendly and really wanted to help. The technician Rich Hagberg came in the afternoon, and spent several hours cleaning the unit (something the previous company should have done regularly ...)! Our house is cool again!!! Thank you, Rich, for a great and very thorough job and for explaining what needs to be done!!! I hope to see you again for the next maintenance appointment! Thank you Cool Care! I am now your customer for life!

Everyone at Cool Care - from the office to the technician - is professional and efficient. They are very easy to work with and explain what is going on (in a way that non-technicians can understand). I appreciate their attention to detail and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for someone to work on their HVAC system.
Im very impressed with how they run their company. I tried to replace my own thermostat with a programmable one, and I fried something in the electronics in the process. The A/C was dead after that. I called at 9pm and got an actual person. My next day appointment was confirmed via text and a real person called to let me know that the tech was running late due to traffic. What company actually updates you in real time with a phone call from a real person? Its practically unheard of anymore. They explained that the diagnostic few was $100 and that it would apply toward the cost of the repair. The tech arrived 30 minutes after the original scheduled time and was super professional and polite. He diagnosed the problem in under five minutes and told me it was a blown fuse. He even told me how to avoid the issue in the future when replacing a thermostat. He got the repair done in ten minutes and told me the $100 diag fee would cover the fuse replacement! I paid and the whole thing was done in twenty minutes. They had every opportunity to charge me hundreds of dollars for things I didnt need. But they didnt, they were honest, professional and took care of me like I was a family member. If you need A/C repairs, definitely make them your first call.

Total lack of response to a water damage issue created by this company. We are only interested in Cool Care being responsible & helping with the deductible. Our insurance is covering the repairs. We have been loyal customers since 2012 & spent a fair amt of $$$ over the years, now when Cool Care created a problem they have kicked us to the curb !!!!Greg O & Sandy M

My business associate called a different company. After 6 days of failed efforts and rude service, we fired the other company. Cool care had us up and running after getting the part in record time and were $200 less. Oh how I wished we called them first. Family owned and ran. They care and it shows. My heat pump went out and Cool Care came out quickly and fixed it. They were peofessional and affordable.
Air conditioner went out at 530 pm. Guest coming over to spend the night. 80 degrees in all bedrooms. Called Cool Care in a panic. At 730 pm THE SAME DAY Daniel the technician comes in, fixes the unit and is backing out of the drive just as our guest showed up. Glad we purchased from Cool Care and glad they have great techs and well stocked trucks to get you going without a two day ordeal. Thanks Cool Care for coming through!!!!

I purchased my fixer-upper home three years ago and wanted to do other renovations before replacing the 1998 gaspak unit that looked and sounded pretty rough. I had a few repairs done via a home warranty, with a couple bad service experiences until Cool Care got involved. When the home warranty ran out, I stuck with Cool Care and they have kept the unit running a lot longer than I expected without sticking me with any huge bills. I finally need to replace it this winter, and I am going back to Cool Care for a new unit. Their staff are very professional, thorough, and polite, and know their stuff. System prices are comparable with other companies and they have earned my loyalty.
