Imagine a day where it was over 100 degrees. It’s after hours and your AC breaks down. Not only that, you’ve got a pregnant wife of 26 weeks inside. That’s what I just had.Pulled up goggle, and thank God it lead me to EF Martin. They had us back up and running in less than 90 minutes. Unbelievable service!!!! They’ve got a customer for life.

Every part of the process was great. Mary was super helpful and got everything scheduled right away. Reggie came out and asked a bunch of helpful questions and got me a quote on the spot. Dont know the names of the installers but they were very polite and helpful too. Got everything done through their financing and they told me about dominion rebates I qualified for that theyd submit all the paperwork for. Had some issues getting quotes and work out of another company. EF Martin came to the rescue though 👍

Working with EF Martin was not a good experience for me. The communication was terrible all around.The front person used a lot of industry talk to describe the systems (entire HVAC and duct work replaced); I had to do a lot of research to ask the right questions, and even then it was difficult to understand the specifics of the various systems I was considering and compare with other systems offered by other HVAC companies. While eventually I felt like I had enough information to make a decision, it was not because they provided good, understandable information, but because of the research I did on my own.The worst, however, was that they put in the wrong AC unit. I would have never known except that when it came time to fill out the rebate information, I found that it was a lower SEER rating than what I paid for. Note, I dont believe it was intention, but it still happened.Then, even worse, I had to argue with them to get them to come out and replace the unit with the correct one, the one I purchased. Instead of offering me a discount for the error and my trouble, they offered me the difference in the rebate I was to receive from the electric company but NOT to replace the unit with the one that I had purchased (the difference was not enough to cover what was paid, and I would have been left with a less efficient system).They also installed the unit right above the house water spout, so its incredibly hard to turn on the outdoor water.Finally, the cost for the unit included a checkup in the first year. Its been 15 months since I had the unit replaced and have not heard a peep from them.Like others that posted here, I did research and received recommendations. Maybe it was just the luck of the draw, but terrible experience and I would not recommend.

Had some issues with my outside heating system and was able to call on Xmas and have a technican(Jeremy T(Thompson)) come out that very day. Jeremy was extremely nice and helpful. Wasnt able to get the part until today but we got it and now everything is working perfectly. If you need help Jeremy T is the technician to request. He will definitely be the one I ask for when I need help.

I am very impressed! I called on a Friday night at around 8:30-9:00 expecting to leave a voicemail because our AC wasn’t blowing cold and it was 82 degrees where our kids sleep. I actually got someone 😳 and they had the on call technician call me in less than 10 minutes. He was about 30 minutes from our house and headed right over. In less than 2 hours from the time I called late on a Friday night they had our house cooling down. I’m floored! Such great customer service. Definitely recommend!!!

EF Martin has been an answer to a prayer. They are highly professional and care about their customers. Extremely knowledgeable and reassuring. They patched me up when my AC suddenly died, then gave me options to work with my budget to replace my old HVAC unit. All of their employees have been very courteous and hard workers. They show up on time, they communicate well, and the do excellent work. Their maintenance plan for your HVAC is a no brainer. EF Martin is big enough to follow through on commitments like maintenance, but small enough to know each of their customers personally.

AC went out, they scheduled a tech to come out between 11 & 1 and he arrived at 10:55. The tech Jeremy Thompson was professional, knowledgeable, and worked fast and had the system back working in a 1/2 an HR. 2nd time Ive used them and great both times and very reasonable.

Had to have a new unit put in for our upstairs. Great experience. The whole team were very professional, kept us up to date on the insulation. Also had to increase size of the duct for the return on the first floor. During the quality control inspection for the new unit, the team member was not happy with the amount of return air for the first floor unit. Had the team at my house within an hour and had it changed out before lunch. The guys very very professional and cleaned up everything before they left. Highly recommend the whole team.

Ive dealt with all of the technicians at this company, and and all up to par. If you want extra assurance that you were getting treated like a family member, ask for Jason or Jeremy. Theyre my favorite. Jeremy talked me into getting a surge protector for my outdoor unit, and when I had a power surge during the last storm a lot of appliances in my house were damaged but my air conditioner is perfectly fine. Jason showed me some indoor air quality products that that helped rid my house of viruses and microbial growth. We breathe so much better now. We moved in our home 2 weeks ago and last night the air stopped working. We called and Jeremy was at our home in no time flat. Very personable, He explained what the problem was and took the time to show us the issue and explained what was happening. He said they would bring us a new unit the very next day. Early the next day Steven, Chris and Tyler were here with the new unit and took care to not get anything on our floors or leave any mess. They were so good explaining to us how the unit works and about our warranty. These men were good examples of what customer service is all about. We had a great experience with E.F. Martin! The tech who came out to estimate replacing our unit showed us a bunch of things we didnt know and that others seemed to have missed. He even showed us how to get the unit to run temporarily for a couple of hours a day (huge relief)! All of their staff was very responsive and knowledgable. Would use them again, for sure!

Some of those are better than others, but E.F. Martin has been waaaaay better than any other company I have used. I simply cannot recommend them enough, nor can I fully express my gratitude after years of frustration dealing with other companies and at times being blatantly lied to and screwed. Our Goodman unit was really messing up and giving out wrong codes. EF Martin sent out Jeremy T to fix it. Jeremy was amazing. My Service tech Jonathan Hennes did a great inspection and detailed explanation on the status of my HVAC unit. He had my best interest in telling me and SHOWING me what the problems that were present. He got the ball rolling with what he recommended it would take to make the system function properly. After paying $183.00 for having a E.F. Martin mechanical technician replace a contractor, the heating part of the system will not switch on.When I called the company I was told that there was no warranty on the work performed!The two star rating is for the time that the heating unit did work!

Took off from work and I waited over an hour and had several questions for the technician. My excitement turn to anger. He didnt know what model I needed, never answered question the unit. Why send someone not familiar with mini splits to a consultation for mini splits. He made me feel like I was wasting his time. I also needed a kumo cloud got no response from tech. Taking my bushiness some place more knowledgeable about what they sell.

Part installed for $500 and broke in less than 5 months. Now they want to charge another $500 to do it again. Refuse to take responsibility. Avoid at all costs.

Very sketchy and bad business practices. One of their drivers rear ended me and they did not fix the damage because I let the driver go after i got a copy of his drivers license and photos of both vehicles because he said he was in a hurry and didnt want to be held accountable. I didnt get a police report prior. Their employee, Mary schumaker, was extremely unprofessional and rude and flat out lied to me in emails. I have records of all of this. I would NOT trust this company as they clearly only care about themselves and not the community.

E. F. Martin Mechanical has provided my family with over 20 years of outstanding service related to heating and cooling. They have installed at least 4 new units for me, in 3 different homes. Several years ago they also helped me diagnose an allergy problem related to poor filtering of conditioned air. They eventually installed an electrostatic air cleaner that corrected the problem for our family....no more coughing and sneezing!I also rely on E. F. Martin to service and maintain my mothers heating and cooling unit. I can always rely on EFM to respond to her request for help, on the same day, when a mechanical failure occurs. Technicians are knowledgeable and always courteous. The office staff is always very helpful in scheduling, or rescheduling, my service work. Thanks for keeping us comfortable all year round!
