The whole staff at Star Heating and Cooling are excellent. Paul met with me on a Tuesday and got a idea of what me and my wife were looking for. He scheduled a appointment for the next day on Wednesday and gave my wife and I four options on a bid to choose from. Paul made a great presentation and explained each option so that we could make a informed decision. We were able to schedule our install of our new 95 percent furnace and 15 Seer central air unit on Monday with a great WiFi thermostat. The install crew with Thomas as supervisor came on Monday and did a fantastic job on install. On Monday night my wife and I experienced our most comfortable night in 12 years at our home. Would definitely recommend this company, their staff, and products they sell.

Purchased Vermont Castings Defiant Wood Stove and installation from Star Heating and Cooling. The job was to be done on Oct.20, 2020. As of November 30, 2020, the job is not finished. I have had trouble from the beginning with this company, only one month and now the stove is falling apart and I dont trust it. Michael Todd Caruthers

Want to give Star 5 Stars for amazing service. We needed a new HVAC system, estimator Craig came out gave us an estimate, he was friendly and knowledgeable in helping us select the right system for our size of home. On installation day they put drop clothes down so they werent tracking in dirt/mud from the outside, it was a cold day so they had a crew of four come to knock it out and get our heat back working. We just love our new system with super filter and whole house humidifier, it also has a two stage fan, half the time you cant even tell the furnace is running. Really pleased with their professionalism and work ethic! Very Pleased from beginning to END!

2 service cases so far and both were great. I had my fireplace repaired a few years ago, and I had my Carrier furnace repaired in Nov., 2016. They were able to make the repair the same day that I called. The tech, Justin, was super helpful and explained clearly what he was doing at every step. The rates were reasonable, and no time was wasted during the service call.

Outstanding. Was able to make it out to repair my furnace quickly. Travis was the tech; he was thorough, knowledgeable and courteous. Price was less than expected. I could not have asked for better.

We spent over $300 on parts they said we needed and more on labor. When our pellet stove failed to perform we asked them for more help. They quit responding and we had to have the stove fixed elsewhere. They were guessing at the cause of the problems and wanted us to spend more on other parts; parts we found out later were not necessary. They showed little knowledge in fixing our pellet stove. Take your work elsewhere. They dont know what theyre doing!

NEVER SHOWED UP: Our AC went out last night. We called at 8:00 AM and Star said theyd be here by early afternoon. By mid-afternoon we hadnt heard anything so we called back. They had never put us on their list! By that time, 7 people were ahead of us and we would have to pay the emergency rate. We said we would contest the emergency rate since we called when that rate didnt apply. Star made no effort to discount the emergency rate and they did not offer any discount.

Tried to get a quote from the fireplace shop and sent in all my measurements and pictures as requested. That was October 7th never heard back. Sent a follow-up e-mail still no answer. I dont beg anybody to take my money, but I will share my experience with everyone I know.

Fantastic and careful installation team led by Thomas followed estimate made by Craig. My house is an unusual design-- and the team did a wonderful job being careful not to disrupt the appearance of my house while installing a great system. Courteous, professional, efficient. Wasnt planning on it, but now that I have found such a trustworthy and reliable HVAC group, Im considering doing some more things around my home. The highest quality work. Thank you. Price was comparable to all the other estimates-- service was exceptional.Addendum two weeks later: I had a separate HVAC issue involving a furnace just recently and decided to give Star Heating and AC another call. They sent Cameron later the same day. He spent hours tracing my furnace from end to end, even after discovering the probably main issue of reversed polarity after an undetected electrical outage. He still went ahead and thoroughly evaluated my furnace, flushing the drains that were clogged, cutting through the flues when they were found to be clogged, and then replacing a cracked board, re-setting the intake pressure for the fuel, and then explained all of it to me. I have had two other HVAC companies come investigate furnace issues at my house-- none have come even close to the thoroughness of Star. Im thrilled-- and I feel very confident that my furnace is functioning at its best and not just adequately. Thank you to Star for being fast, reliable, trustworthy, thorough and careful, and very reasonable in price. Cameron made it very clear that he was trying to do the most economical work that would pay off in the end in our heating bills. (This issue was unrelated to the work done two weeks ago installing a system in separate part of home. That system is functioning very well with no problems.)
