Would not recommend at all. The pricing here is absolutely outrageous! Overpriced with nothing to show for it. It says one price online AND on the wall when entering the building then after your service you get your price and it’s all these extra charges and fees that weren’t discussed before hand! Very unprofessional. They charge for every single little thing and that’s not how you should do business. Don’t the crowd fool you because it fooled me. Time and money wasted.

Horrible attention, they gave me the price of my nails 3 times, I specified what I wanted and they gave me 1 price and as time went by they changed the prices, the worker who made me the nails got annoyed because it took me a while to choose the ones colors and when I glued the stones, I glued 3 different stones to the ones I asked for, he did a horrible job, I wanted to cry and could not believe that I was paying 87 us for something like that, they treated me horrible and in the end they changed the price again, I spoke with the manager and I commented on the situation and he did not give me any solution and less than 24 hours I already fell stones, it is horrible, I do not recommend going at all, I have no problem with paying 100us but the important thing was that it was a job well done and it was not like that, it was a horrible experience

Honestly the nail tech didn’t give me a real manicure before she started with the dip, she also didn’t shape my nails before and after the dip?? I have been to other places where they do all of that and set your nails with the lamp.. but they swore they were doing it right.. and now, only a week later, my nail is cracked down the middle. LOL! Just save yourself the time and money. The only good thing is that they have a ton of staff so you can be in and out.

Decent place, but a lot of the techs are not very good at nail shaping or nail art, so I’d only recommend it for the most basic of manicures. I walked out today with nails of different lengths/shapes. I would recommend this place for a pedicure.Also, their prices seem to keep changing so expect $60+ for an acrylic fill + gel polish.

After reading all the positive reviews, I decided to give this salon a chance. The staff was extremely friendly and I appreciate that, but unfortunately my no-chip full set is a disaster. I asked for coffin shape. As you can see my left hand, especially my ring and thumb, is an awful shape. For $65 (not including tip), this is unacceptable. I was really rooting for this place because the staff was super sweet but I definitely will not be back.

Me and my husband are from MI, we came here during a weekend getaway and absolutely loved the service and the quality of services provided. Staff very nice and friendly, so many color options and complimentary beverages.

I’ve been going here for years and I love the service, the staff snd the prices. It’s clean, friendly and they give great manicures and pedicures. Over the years, I’ve used several different nail techs. They are all good. I even brought my 7 year-old daughter. They have 2 mini pedi chairs for kids. They were very engaging and sweet to my daughter. She loved this place too.

My lady seemed very mad the entire time I was getting my nails done. They also don’t tell you that getting no chip/ gel is an extra 20. They just say no chip right! Not telling you it will be $20 extra. I tried talking to the front desk lady and she said well it says it online. I didn’t look online. They should have just told me. My cousin also got her nails done with me and three of them have already broke. We got them done two days ago. Overall wasn’t very pleased with my experience. I even went to a different salon to get a color change because I didn’t like the color, but didn’t want to tell my person because she seemed cranky and mad.

This is such an amazing place. My friend and I have been looking for a nail salon that could do nail art for at least 3 months. Not only did this place do the exact art that we wanted, they also did it fast!! Amy did my nails and helped me choose the colors and even recommended that I do a different nail shape (other than what was in the reference photo that I provided) to really enhance the design--Im glad that I did because I like my nails more than the nails in the picture that I gave her! Honestly horrible. The shape was not it, it’s not sharp at all. They left so many streaks. The lady in front is rude and unprofessional. They charged me $20 for a length that was normal size. The only one i tipped was the guy that cut my nails. Over all horrible first time

We arrived 20 minutes late to our reservation, but they were very polite and accommodating. Scott did my nails. His attention to detail was exquisite. Was very impressed. All around a great experience. Very satisfied.

Needed to cancel an appointment over a week out from the date due to group covid restrictions and not only could I not receive a refund for my deposit, the staff were very discourteous to me on the phone and had rude, impatient responses. Not impressed by a salon that claims to offer excellent service to their customers.

I wanted to try somewhere new and the staff was extremely friendly and sweet I had just gotten my gel fill in on Wednesday 8/5/2020(I had an appointment at 3pm) everything went well and I was satisfied with my set. Fast forward to today 8/9/2020, the gel polish is completely coming off of the nail Showing just the clear gel. 57$ dollars later and I am not happy. I do not think I will be coming back. Such a Waste.

Went in for a manicure, was able to get in fairly quickly which is nice. However, the manicure itself was not good. My cuticles were botched and the service wasn’t great.

I took my 5-year old daughter into the salon for her first manicure/pedicure experience, and I was blown away by the exceptional treatment given by Lisa during our visit. She was courteous, respectful, and very accommodating throughout our stay. My daughter enjoyed being given options, and treated like a little princess. We appreciated how well Lisa showed great attention-to-detail, and made sure that we were comfortable. My daughter already asked to return, and we definitely plan to make that happen really soon. And, when we return...we will definitely request Lisa’s services. Thank you for helping make my daughter feel very special😊!

I was a walk-in here on Saturday, visiting the city from Green Bay, WI with my boyfriend. We had just finished brekky and I wanted a shellac manicure randomly (I very rarely get my nails done). They were busy and full, and still took care of me in a timely manner and as if I was one of their regulars. The best I’ve ever been treated in a nail salon. Nails were done perfectly and I loved my nail technician. I’d recommend this place to anyone.

The staff there are superb, along with the beautiful and modern salon. My nails turned out absolutely perfect!I have gotten so many compliments from men and women. I was very happy with how my nails came out! The ladies there are very nice and gentle with i love because my hands are sensitive. The shop is very clean and pretty! So many top product nail polishes to choose from so picking a color is a breeze! And the price is great 👍 high recommend this nail salon!

I’ve been here several times now, usually with a different nail technician each time, and always receive an excellent shellac manicure. Their manicures last longer than other places. Most likely because they take their time and are attentive to details. The deluxe pedicure is also wonderful and a great price.

Vickie’s is my go-to nail salon in the River North neighborhood. You can expect both quality and efficiency from them. While nail quality is always my #1 criteria for a salon, Vickie’s also impresses me by how well managed it is (rare for a nail salon). They manage to their appointments, and assign technicians efficiently. I went in once right before having to catch a flight. I told them this in advance and they were able to get me in and out 15 minutes ahead of schedule.I recommend calling to book an appointment in advance. They are generally always busy, and like I said, they book appointments efficiently so walk-in’s aren’t always accepted.

Great salon in a very busy part of Chicago. Emily was very patient and did everything I asked for. The salon has a great atmosphere due to all the workers. Everyone has a great attitude, including the boss. They offer beverages which is a plus. Throughout my manicure and pedicure experience, Emily asked me if everything is ok. Everything was perfect!! Definitely making this my go to nail salon. Also, if you pay in cash, they give you 5% off.

This is a great salon. I last minute decided to get a pedicure after they gave me a manicure, and they took their time despite 10 minutes to closing. They made sure I was comfortable and happy. I highly recommend this place as it is organized and they truly care about their customers!

Best place Ive ever been to. I have honestly never been super happy with any manicure Ive ever had, but yesterday I went somewhere else and had the worst manicure I had ever had. Today I went to Vickies after reading reviews and asked if they could fix my manicure. I had acrylics on and they were unable to redo them completely as to not damage my nails, but they spent the time and care to grind them down to make them look more natural and helped reshape them. Christine spent time to meticulously make my nails perfect and actually checked with me to make sure they were to my liking. I also had a pedicure which was good and the owner/manager came out greeted me and talked with me for a bit, which was a nice touch that showed me that he really cares about how his customers feel and not just that his establishment makes money. The actual place itself is spacious, clean, and nice. The people working there seem like they actually enjoy being there (as much as anyone can enjoy being at work) and not just like they cant wait for the day to be over. The receptionist was warm and helpful. I cant say a bad thing about this place and Ive had plenty bad to say about several other places. This is definitely going to be the only place I will ever go again and I will be recommending it to anyone I know. Keep up the great work and great service, and thank you!

I have been going to Vickies Nail Salon consistently for the last 6 months or so. They are efficient, kind and provide a high quality service. Ive paid almost twice as much for manicures at other places and inevitably the gel is peeling within a week. I get a gel manicure every three weeks and the gel is still on almost perfectly and with almost zero peeling!

I always enjoy my pedicures and the staff is always sweet. They never try to sell you up, and have remembered me even if I dont go in regularly. Great quality every time

I have been getting my nails done for years and have been to several salons ... but two years ago when I was recommended to this salon by a friend I finally found the best and I haven’t left them since! There is no one better. The service is amazing and relaxing. The whole staff is super friendly and treats you like family. Their new salon is absolutely beautiful, clean, and huge!! Also, the location is perfect and there is plenty of parking right out front. I recommend all my friends. You won’t leave disappointed and my nails are always perfect!! :)

Let me just say huge shout out to NICK. I walked in today, first time in this salon to get a no chip. I left with a Dip Powder set! And I love it !Nick casually asked me if I would consider doing the Dip method and him and I believe the owners name is Michael, shared with me all the benefits, and i was sold.Nick was very patient, gentle and professional with his service. I picked an ombre finish and it turned out better than I expected.The only thing I would say is for the front desk staff to be more welcoming and friendly, the two gals seemed nice but Nick and Michael made my visit pleasant.

My day didn’t originally include a manicure but I had some time to burn in between my meeting at the Union league Club so I stepped out turned a couple corners ended up in the hands of a intelligent manicurist by the name of Lisa . She provided me with a outstanding service, which not only In my opinion ; but everyone I’ve come into contact with has complimented my well shaped, buffed nails and cleaned to perfection cuticles no cuts or scraps. Lisa is witty and knowledgeable with her professionalism a outright gem to the craft I’ve even left a couple of her Bussiness cards with my colleagues next time I’m in Chicago I’ll be back seek her talents and skills ... 💅

Very clean and friendly staff. Some employees are more skilled than others but I generally feel like I’m well taken of. Price is very reasonable. Just wish they had more dry stations and updated color choices. Definitely recommend calling ahead of time to limit the wait!

All the staff at Vickies Nail Salon have great customer service and go over and beyond for their clientele. If there needs to be a nail fix which never really happens they fix it and make it right. I love the staff and their creative work.

I recently moved to the area and have been here twice. I made appointments both times and was seated as soon as I walked in. I also saw 5 people walk in with pedicure appointments, and they all got pedicures at the same time (which I have very rarely seen at any nail salon). As far as customer service goes, they get 5 stars. They are incredibly polite and friendly, and create a wonderful environment. The quality here is TOP NOTCH. I never feel like they are rushing on my nails. They carefully evaluate your nails to ensure that they are flawless before sending you home, and are happy to correct any minor defects. As someone who has been shopping around for the right nail salon, and is very picky about the quality of my manicures, I wont go anywhere else (and prices are great too!).

After looking for a great nail salon for a long time, I finally found this place. My acrylic nails were done perfectly; The technician was a perfectionist! They were done fast but detailed, and I didnt have to wait to be taken in even tho I didnt have an appointment and that they were busy. They didnt offer me water or coffee although they did to the lady next to me, I dont know why. But, the nice attention and nails will make me come back again!

I love this shop. Theyre on the pricey side but, totally worth it. I have been going here for about 4 years under a different name. My person Summer is the best! Thats the only person I see. They offer beverages such as water, pop, juice, and coffee. Again, well worth the price.

Vickie’s is the best. After years and years of getting lumpy thick acrylics I went to Vickie’s and couldn’t be happier my nails are perfect! Their technicians have great attention to detail and are very professional. They go above and beyond to give you an all around great experience.

Very clean, good color choices. The service is spotty depending on who is working the front desk and who you get as a nail technician. Some have been super amazing while others make you feel like you are a burden

I got the gel color mermaid: 21 and based on the pallet, it was a shiny blue. When the polish was put on, it was basically just a clear coat with sparkles in it. I mentioned to the woman at the front desk that it was incorrect and the pallet sample should be fixed. Instead she tried to justify it by saying that I should have known that there was a black polish underneath rather than accepting their mistake and saying that they should have added a note to the sample pallet. They didnt even offer a discount or to fix my nails.

I was in Chicago for a long weekend and badly needed my nails done. I went right when the salon opened at 10 am without an appointment and was greeted by the friendly receptionist. I was immediately seated and given gel colors. There were so many! The technician who did my nails was friendly and did a really good job. I bite my cuticles and he did a good job at cleaning them up. He was very neat and checked after each coat to make sure nothing was smudged. Tbd how they hold up over time, but if I came back or lived in Chicago, Id come back to Vickis.

This is my new go to nail salon. The store has undergone a complete makeover since the new owner took over last fall. Mike (the owner) is always there to greet and chat with the customers. The staff is so attentive and friendly. Summer is my favorite tech but everyone is good (rare in a nail salon).
