I’m a little shocked at the reviews on Yelp because I’ve never had anything but a great experience going to Sexy Nails & Spa. My nails always look perfect and they are always exactly what I want when I am done. They are always very accommodating and can squeeze me in on short notice/walk in.

Always get great service. Prices are decent too. My go to for sure!

This place had the best efficiency Ive ever seen at nail salon. I was in and out in 1.5 hrs for both a pedi and full set. They take appointments on weekends. Im beyond satisfied with my nails and the service. 10/10 will def be a regular here.

The experience changed from pleasantries to blatant rudeness once my sister asked the nail technician to change her nail color from her original choice. The nail technician seemed agitated from that point on. As we headed to manicure station, my sister asked the technician are you okay? The technician said Yes. Literally, a minute later the technician said something to her colleague then sat at a different nail station with another customer. She said nothing to my sister, just started on the womans nails. My sister made a comment about the lack of professionalism the technician displayed by not saying one word to her about the change. No other technician said anything about this particular technicians behavior. Everyone pretended as they knew nothing about professionalism or customer service. Yet, went to Vivians Nails in Skokie, had a wonderful experience!

My second visit here was just as good as the first. I received a full set & pedicure. Their work is very neat and they always ensure that I’m happy with how my nails look. I’ve never had to wait more than 5 minutes to be serviced here. I wouldn’t even mind a wait because that’s just how good the quality is. It’s a bit rare to find a salon that gets it all right: crisp nail shape, clean polish/design, no nicks or cuts and fast but QUALITY service. I’ll only be getting my nails done here going forward. The brow waxing is also really good.

This nail salon treated me horribly. They made me wait and then they gave me to another technician not the one I met made the reservation with. One of the nail technicians was really rude to me as well as to a friend and walked away in the middle of the manicure. My no chip manicure chipped in a week. They used to provide a good service but not any more. It’s too bad.

Clean, quick, reasonably priced. Convenient location if you live in Edgewater/Uptown. Free parking. Generally need an appointment on the weekend.

This is an amazing place! Been going here for almost 9 years. Nobody else can tackle my cuticles like they can...and I mean every one of their staff. They have always been kind, and understanding. They have wonderful colors and the result is always perfect. Service is always quick too. I generally dont like getting pedicures, and this is the only place where I feel comfortable getting them.

Ive been going to Sexy Nails for many years, and always happy with the service I received. Theresa and Jasmine are the very best. You should ask for one of them when you make an appointment or stop by and visit. You will never be disappointed when you visit Sexy Nails.

I go to see my fav nail tech. She worked at another place but has been here for a couple yrs now. Im glad I ran into her. Been coming here ever since.

My Nails hurted as soon as they finished. I called around to other shops they said that this is not normal. I’d rushed to a different shop to have them clean my nail from the toxic chemicals applied to my nails. I would never return back ever again. I believe they added Gorilla Glue as well to the polish. I give them 1/2 star rating...I don’t recommend this shop...

Love this nail salon! Great prices and quick service. Literally every single time I’ve walked in for an acrylic or gel appointment, they’ve gotten me in the chair within 10 minutes or less. Love the ambiance, vibe, and polish selection. Great technical skills and even greater people, would absolutely recommend!

When i walked into this salon i was excited to get my nails done and that changed quickly. The lady asked “why are you here?” in a rude voice. it made me feel uncomfortable and i told her i wanted acrylic set for me and my friend and she just stared at me for a 2 minutes then told me i had to wait 20 minutes and i was perfectly fine with waiting but the stares made me uncomfortable and her tone so i decided to leave.

The staff was very friendly. My mani and pedi were great!!

Not sure if technician is just starting off but did not know how to file nails that are already shaped(basically just needed polish)since I already had them shaped to my liking. I ended up just getting clear polish so I could go home and do it myself. I had to ask her to remove the cuticle from my toe nails as well. First time at this location.

I use to love going here. Here and there they will mess up my nails, it was neighborhood place so I always went back. I do no-Chip all the time. This time this woman was rushing so bad that she messed up almost every nail taking off my no chip, there are little wholes on my real nail.She tells me sorry her tool was 2 sharp. Are you kidding me??? I let her finish, didnt tip her and walked out. I will never go back. There so many other nails salons. They rush 2 much. Now I understand all this negative reviews. Dont waist your money here.

I have never seen a more nastier manager than the one at this nail salon. They definitely do not thrive on the phrase the customer is always right. The boss is just as nasty as her employees. It doesnt matter how much they mess up your nails or if you speak up about something, the boss will always take the side of their staff without question or working to rectify. They rush services and it shows in how their work does not take long to come off. They try to argue with you when you show displeasure in something. My final straw has to be when one of the girls dropped a tool on the floor and tried to resume using it on me. I pointed it out and she lied in my face and stated that she dipped it in the water my feet was in and wiped it with the towel. What?? Im sorry but already my feet were itching in the foot spa. I couldnt take it. She started to get nasty and snippy and opted to resume even after i expressed my concern. I requested for her manager. She sighed with an attitude and got up to get her. Only for the so called boss to tell me they sterilize their tools daily and not to be worried. Sterilize from a TOWEL after falling to a FLOOR? Although a neighborhood nail shop, I now WILLINGLY travel downtown to get my nails down. Wont ever step my foot back into this place.

The best no-chip I have ever had. Their attention to details, especially the cutial cleanup, is on point. I have tried other salons that are closer to me or more convenient and have always been disappointed. I have never been disappointed with sexy nails and have been going to them for more than 4years now.

The spot is very clean and everyone seems to be nice and knows what they are doing. However when it comes to getting a pedicure and a nice Arch on your eyebrows they need a little bit more training for it. Ask the lady who did my eyebrows to do a arc on them and make fine. She told me that my eyebrows are very thin and all she can do is shaping up and it was very hard because my eyebrows are very Archie. Thats very unprofessional and more training is needed for this establishment. I will not recommend this establishment to others.

My regular go to nail place of over 3 years now. I never have a bad manicure or pedicure experience. It is a basic nail place but they are fantastic at what they do.

This place is great! Pricing is standard but their work is far superior to other nail salons in the area. The finish is amazing with great attention to detail. This is now my regular spot!

Those lady’s in there is very rude and in unprofessional not clean. I was watching them just put one person after anther in chains without cleaning it. I left to much going on to not clean after each customer I’m reporting them

Very nasty personalities and service at Sexy Nails. Every time I go and I am not dealing directly with Jasmine, it is a very unpleasant experience. The owner is very rude, unfriendly and unprofessional. I usually go here because it’s in the neighborhood. The final straw with them was when I came in with my nails already done from another place since it was closer to work and I needed it for an event that night. 1 nail cracked and I needed it glued. I came in and they asked what I needed done. I said my toes and for them to look at my nail for me. Got to the girl and she saw my nail cracked and said “we can do it all over again because we don’t have this color.” I said no and asked if she can please glue it because I really loved the color and it was still new. She said with such bitterness “Why don’t you go back to who did it and they can do that for you.” Such attitude and unprofessionalism. Then she proceeds to walk over to do my toenails ignoring that nail I asked to be glued. At this point I did not want to sit for a full pedi after this so I asked for a nail change instead. She got an attitude and walked away and called a new girl to do my toenails. The new girl could not paint and my toes were visibly lumpy and paint strokes visibly going in different directions. I told the girl my complaint and she got up to call the first girl who still had an attitude. Needless to say I complained to the owner and she didn’t see anything wrong with the piss poor job the new lady did that my niece could’ve done a better job at. Mind you the new lady also dropped utensils and proceeded to use them on my toes until I brought it to her attention. The lady next to me getting her toes done even said they looked lumpy. At Sexy Nails, the customer will never be right, the ladies except for Jasmine are rude and unprofessional and always lounging in the massage chairs and on their phones. Won’t step my foot in here again.

Overall I really like this place as my local nail salon. I think some of their no chip polishes may have expired as I usually pick the quirky colors and or two nails of mine have completely popped off within a week of a fresh mani. Their new massage chairs for pedicures are the bomb though, and they are always very friendly.

I live right down the street from this location and usually I go somewhere else but decided to try something new. I go in and asked how much for a fill in? The woman replies $18 for regular polish $35 for nochip. I agreed to try the regular polish. As I sit down she asked if I wanted the already polish nochip on my hands to be removed I said yes. She stated that it will be $5 more to remove. That was fine. Then as she is takening the polish off she states that if I wants my nails shaped or shorten was going to be another additional $2! I just looked at her funny and repeated what she stated making sure what I heard was correct. She said yea do you want it or no? I thought shaking and cutting down was part of the service? I’ve never been told before for any nail service that shaping or cutting down would be additional. I was a bit upset thinking to myself so if I did the nochip full in it would be $35 plus $5to remove and then another $2 to shape! $42 for a full in mind as well gotten a fresh set. I feel the customer service here is poor and really should improve. So unsatisfied.

I tried to say hello and how are you to the woman doing my nails and she barely responded. didnt say another word the entire tim (yes, she spoke English), She was very rushed to finish my nails...and they were not very busy at all so no need to rush so hard. Message was for less than 30 seconds per leg/hand... not great. I did not feel at all welcomed there. Nails were fine, nothing bad or great

The next time I come in for a chin wax, and the lady start laughing and talking to the other workers in their language, we will have a problem. Dont think your clients doesnt know when your are talking about them. So unprofessional. If I wasnt in a hurry to go in to the police station. I would have asked to speak to the manager. My first bad experience in 8 months going here.

I used to LOVE this place when it first opened. I dont know if it changed owners or something because the service has completely changed. I used to walk in and they would offer bottled water to anyone getting service, not anymore. But that is not a big issue as most places dont do this. The quality of my mani-pedis here has gone down. They have gone from lasting almost a full 2 weeks to 1 at best. The service is just ok. Nice place to go if you want a quiet atmosphere with service in the neighborhood.

I spend $40 on a no-chip here and 2 days later it chipped. I went back in to tell them about it and they blamed me for it and told me it was my fault. I was too hard on my nails. If they had offered to fix the problems I showed them I wouldnt have to write a negative review. However, since their attitudes we so ridiculous about this, I have no other choice.

This nail shop is horrible and very unprofessional..the lady spilled acetone all over me (it even got in my mouth) and when I told the manager what happened and that I wanted someone else to do my nails with more experience..she told me that I dont have to pay but also to never come back. I could not believe that she thought that I was trying to get out of paying when i had been goin to that nail shop weekly! And when i asked her why would she treat me like that she said because i was being disruptive. I did not get loud or threaten them in any way..and needless to say my feelings were hurt..I honestly believe they are very racist b/c had I been a white woman they would have finished my nails complimentary! Worst nail shop ever I wouldnt even recommend this nail shop to my worst enemy. I have been a regular customer for over a year and I can not believe that they had treated me that way!

I decided to go to Sexy Nails & Spa because theyre close to my apartment. Every time Ive been before they have done a mediocre (at best) job... I put up with their lack luster service and nail jobs until I found another place a little further from my place that is awesome (Super Nails on Lawrence).Today I was lazy and didnt feel like driving the extra 10 minutes during rush hour traffic to get there, so I decided to make a poor life decision and go to Sexy Nails. All I wanted was an acrylic fill and a basic nail polishing.Every time I go there, they seem irritated to have customers. I really dont get that. Another note: there is only one woman there who speaks English, so if you want anything at all that isnt basic... good luck explaining it.I told the nail tech that I wanted my nails filed or cut down a bit, and tried my best to explain it to her politely. She was rough with my hands and buffed my nails so much that my nail beds burned. When she got around to actually filing my nails... Im not kidding - it was horrible. I was honestly surprised and wanted to ask her if she was serious. They were lopsided and all over the place. I asked her to fix them, so she did some more hack sawing, after which they still looked like a four year old boy with no thumbs had done them. I literally just asked to have the file so that I could fix them myself, and I did.I got a light pink polish. The finished product looks streaky (seriously, it looks like I did it at home) and nasty - not to mention my acrylic is bumpy and looks cheap. I cant deal. I paid my $18 ($3 extra for the cut down) and got out of the place over an hour after she had started.Please take my advice and just go somewhere else. Theyre not even worth it. I will never go here again in my life - I was better off doing my own nails at home in the dark. My nails are far from sexy.

Im new on this side of town and i have gone to a few other places around the area and this my friend is the best...excellent service, very nice and clean inside, up to date on techniques and polish colors by brand....i could go on ...trust me well worth visiting oh yeah the staff is amazing!!
