Ive been coming here throughout the last few years. Ive had good experiences that were pretty quick with good results. And Ive had days where I was in the salon for hours waiting for my services to be finished. However, the results are usually very good. Just be mindful of the time you may spend here.

I just came from the dr. I will never come here again, the guy who did my pedicure drilled my toe nails so to far down it damage my nail bed and he cut my toenails wrong which set up an infection due to me developing an ingrown toe nail. He drilled my natural nails to far down as well causing my nails to look dented with white spots which the dr said came from drilling to far down. I will never set foot in that place again!!!!

They’re very iffy, like you don’t know when you walk in if you’re going to get a good service or not. If the people who are recommended and you KNOW they do a great job are there then your good, if not you’re SOL. If you don’t have those good people, you might end up asking them to do basic things that comes with even a regular polish manicure (trimming, filing, clean water, new utensils, etc). They’ll make up excuse regarding those requests that are supposed to be given like saying you don’t need simple nail prep if you’re getting acrylic. It makes no sense. With the brows they are mess too. They put on this oil all over your brows that makes your forehead extra shiny until you wash your face. Most of my experiences there have been either “meh” or just awful.

Never a bad experience. Been coming here at least 6 years. I always get designs and lots of bling. Steven is my go to but if hes too busy Dena or TiTi do great nails too!

Nail techs have a variety of skill levels. Just so you know. But the one thing I do like is that they are very clean. They really hold a different standard for themselves & its much appreciated . Most salons DO NIT DO THAT, MOST!!!

We normally have a great experience,but the girl who did my daughters nails did a horrible job. Bumpy and misshapen. The owner tried to pretend they looked good. Naw son!! Re-do!! We dont accept just anything!! The owner, actually re did them perfectly. But the fact, he tried to just push us out with horrible service initially, dont sit well with me.

Absolutely the best nail salon in the city. There’s literally no other salon I feel comfortable visiting. Their covid protocols are excellent, their management and nail techs are very professional. Definitely a loyal customer!

I went here for the first time and the service was great. Everyone is wearing mask and they are continuously cleaning after every client. My nails came out amazing and I’ll definitely be back

They did a very rushed and sloppy job on my nails. Theyre unorganized and dont know what theyre doing, the guy tried to tell me I needed to soak my bare natural nails in acetone. My cuticle also started bleeding during the manicure. Some of them are rude. One of my toes was smudged from my pedicure and the technician acted like she didnt want to fix it. She ended up fixing it and did a sloppy job doing that as well. I understand why this place has few stars.

They are super friendly and professional. Though their was a slight wait, they took care of me quickly.

I been to this nail shop before the covid it was just ok ... after covid i started going in my neighborhood South Loop ... since I was in the neighborhood today i came back here... I waited 45 mins and after signing in this morning (6/02/21) for the manager to tell me she only services previous customers not NEW ... because I didnt receive services for my nails and feet there recently... they wont do it ... i didnt agure or complain ... one thing I learned from my mother NEVER BEG FOR ANYONE TO TAKE YOUR MONEY ... its hundreds of nail shops on every corner ... See ya!

Ive had a great experience when I go. Theyve always been pleasant and polite. During the time I had a broken ankle they were accommodating and helpful and most importantly gentle with my ankle once out of the boot to get a pedicure. They practice social distancing and CDC protection protocol for Covid_19

Happened to be in the area and broke a nail. Refused to fix my nail because I am not a normal customer. Rude and unprofessional. They did not know I lived in the area and was looking for a new salon.

They are always packed but they move fast and take care of all special requests

Very friendly and positive experience. I have been hunting for a good place to get a pedicure for a while and this is the place. I have flat, wide feet, Im a running, and I walk really hard. So I get thick calluses. This was the first pedicure that I had in a while that focused on not just the polish job, but my rough feet as well. I have found my new home! 😊

Especially since the remodel - they’ve stepped up their customer service. Pleasant and professional. And really practicing CDC guidelines. They taking temps, filling out forms, hand washing, sanitizing stations and plexiglass is up to protect you while having your hands or feet done.

Love the remodel!!! Ive been coming here for years, but this is my first time back since COVID. Very clean and sanitized after each client. Hand sanitizer AND hand washing at the door! No crowding, plastic barriers in place. And everyone is so happy and kind.

Ask for Lea, if you want the best brows/lashes and pedicure in town. The front door staff are the greatest.

Horrible service. They rush the service they give. I got a pedicure, lasted all of 10 minutes. He didnt do a massage like usual. He was rough and talking on his phone. He was doing my pedicure and someone elses nails at the same time. It looked clumpy. Worst pedicure Ive ever had. I could have done this at home

They do what they want to your nails never what you asked for. When you say something about it they catch an attitude. My pedicure was horrible bubbles all in the polish, my nails were super thick and uneven. Will not be back.

If it was possible to give 0 zeros, I would be giving this nail shop exactly that. This is my second time there and they are not only disrespectful. They speak in a different language when you ask genuine questions about your nails and then they laugh at you.During my second visit, my nail technician was on the phone throughout and paid zero attention to my nails. Nail were done great. Customer Service was another thing. Ive had my nails done here on and off for years, never had and issue. The owner did calm situation.

The service is rushed, so rushed that the quality of my nails was not satisfactory. Not worth the price either for the type of service you receive. Do not properly clean and take care of your cuticles. Will leave cuticles looking dry and just not up to par. Was not satisfied at all. Will never return again.

I may have found one of the best nail salons in town. Nice relaxing Pedicure! I had pretty dry hands, cuticles and the staff helped me. The staff here are so awesome! They also were extremely professional in their craft. The prices are competitive. Will defiantly be coming here again. All in all, GREAT products.

Ive received services from this shop for over 15 years. What I appreciate so much is the expansion of space, services and cleanliness. They have been pretty consistent with quality and efficiency. They unlike other places have greatly improved on the ambiance....nicer upgrades.

Beautiful salon, they present an excellent choice of polishes. The quality of the service was extremely poor. My nail tech was Kim she stated she’s been there for two years, so I relaxed, and tried to enjoy the experience. A big mistake my nails looked like a beginner student did them. Each nail a different length, uneven filing, and clumpy no chip polish. I wanted a nail salon closer to home but this isn’t it. My nails were a hot mess. A total waist of time. I immediately had them done again at my regular shop up north. That’s just how bad it was. 👎

They started off good and then they tanked. They are overpriced and I’ve seen too many negative encounters between management and patrons. The wait times are obscene too. Don’t expect to be in and out even with an appointment.

As a disabled person the last thing I need is to be judged for the way that I look. Once you walk in they start talking and staring you up and down. Although, they do a nice pedicure, by the third visit I had enough of their disrespect by all employees.

They offer water and other drinks and atmosphere is comfortable. My technician was knowledgeable and skilled. I told my technician what Im looking for and she gave me some great ideas on what color. The salon overall has a friendly neighborhood vibe and I was very happy!

According to the web and posted hours, they close at 8pm. However, they take their last customer at 7:30pm and lock their doors. I get it if thats their preference. The published hours are misleading and should clearly state 7:30pm then. Especially, if potential customers looking on the web to find a close nail salon to only be told they close 30 minutes earlier. This nonsense needs to stop in our community where we invest our funds. Post the right hours!!!

Something I love when the team members are excellent conversationalists. She was very detailed in their work & I want to personally compliment her on her above. You really cant go wrong with any of the nail techs THERE.

Love this nail salon, I got my feet done once before and came back for a mani pedi. I love how each turned out. The price is right and will definitely be coming back! The only issue is that the water they uses is too hot.

Nice atmosphere and reasonable prices compared to nail salons in the south suburbs. My only concern is the place is small and crowded most of the time.

Spent $50 on dip’n nail only for them to start separating from my nails 3 days later. Called and went back so they could fix. The technician had an attitude and ended up cutting me with the tool they use. Instead of apologizing told me I cut myself 🤦🏾‍♀️. He was being rough. I asked for a ballerina shaped nails but I wanted them short. He refused to do a ballerina shape because he said they were too short but I had them like that before, he just had a attitude. Charged me $10.00 to fix my nails that they admitted using the wrong solutions. Never again! Horrible service

I’ve come here religiously for the last 2 years since moving to Chicago. I ONLY let one person touch my hands and he never disappoints. There is always something going on there and someone is always mad - but I don’t let that deter me. The place is open when I need to go and is relatively clean.Pedicures are a hit and miss though. I’ve been cut and left to bleed out (not really, but sis was heavy handed), had lumpy polish, was annoyed into getting gel, got uneven shaping, and anything else. So I’m usually willing to give anyone a chance to do my toes, but if you hurt me and have me looking crazy I will remember and will avoid you next time.I almost didn’t want to say his name, because he doesn’t need anymore new clients. But STEVEN is my fave!

Today is Wednesday. I got my nails done Saturday and already two nails have fallen off. very overpriced. I paid more to get nails shaped almonds. A a lot of bubbles have formed in my nails. I paid for no chip and nails are chipping.

I have been a customer for years. After today I wont be back. My nails are lumpy and two shades of beige. I showed the nails to the tech and the owner. Both tried to make me think my nails looked fine. Which was very disappointing that they thought I was stupid. Its sad when you pay money and all you ask is for good service. Instead of making a big fuss I will take my money elsewhere.

So I went to Maxim about a month ago and received a beautiful full set I kept that particular on for about 2 1/2 weeks I then return to get a fill-in And the service was phenomenal I was very pleased with my nails in my nail tech te-te. This was about four weeks ago now after receiving my feelings I left those on for another two weeks I Return today December 4 and I request that Tt do my nails I initially started with a sock off because I am in the process of growing my nails out so I got to soak off so that my nails wouldn’t be broken or damaged when I sat in Tt chair she immediately start breaking my nails one of them was broken down to the middle of my nail bit and two more she cut and clipped with a nail clipper, After heartbreaking three of my nails I asked that she not break the rest of them because that’s the reason I got a sock off in the first place she told me that I should’ve told her that in the beginning from that point Tt went to put my Tips on however she did not suggest or allow that I go wash my hands before which would be sensible being that I had a set of nails on for four weeks, After requesting that I wash my hands every Time to her chair and the service was quite moderate Tt Did not seem enthused or happy about being at work which in turn made the service for me unsatisfactory I was told that I was being charge for a no chip polish upon leaving I asked what my bill was and what I have been charge for the lady at the front desk told me that I should go and ask you to tt that she didn’t know, However she came and took my money so I was confused as to how she didn’t know what I was paying for I would like to ask TT what type of polish I had on my nails and she refused to tell me the service here was terrible today and I’m quite upset I love this place and I did not expect this to happen I will not be returning when I asked to have a contact or business email I was told that that was private information that cannot be given out with that being said for people who have I’ll experiences There should be some type of a contact for both please and on please clients

Decided to try since I was in the area. Very pricey, poor customer service!! Tried acrylic on my nails for the first time, and the acrylic started to lift only after 2 days of receiving the service!! Wont go back!

After so many failed high class salons downtown I found this one the best choice in Chicago. I’ve been going there for almost a year and they always treat me like a princess. For all the girls that do fill in, this one is the right choice.

This place has the most disrespectful manager and staff. I have brought there nail tech titi so much business. This manager think she can yell and disrespect black people when we are the reason she’s in business. Don’t waste your money at this place. Maxim nails don’t deserve your hard earn money. I waited 1 hour and 1/2 to be told I have another hour wait because I questioned a nail design. Ridiculous!!! This manager deserves to be put out of business.

I usually get my nails done down town but stopped in here before the holiday. They were busy but I didnt think that they would be careless and rush wasting my time with mistakes like not drying my nails and cutting into my cuticle. I will not be returning.

Went there today to get my brows done. I waited about 15 minutes before being greeted. After being greeted, I was told to go to the back for service. I waited for 10 minutes and then someone came back to do my brows. The lady who came back was told to stop in the middle of doing someone’s nails so when she came back to do my brows, I asked that she wash her hands. She declined and said someone else would service me.Be aware, horrible customer service!

The owner is racist. She racially profiled me and requested I come back to see Mike. Mike is the nail tech that normally does my nails. Mike and his wife along with Titi, Mimi, and Steve are exceptional nail techs and should really branch out on their own. Mike is off on Monday. Monday I came in and requested Titi. The owner lied and said I told Mike if he didnt do my nails right I would never come back. Thats a statement I never made. Im 7 months pregnant and drove 1.5 hours to have my nails serviced. Yet, the owner turned me away and asked me to come back to see Mike, because she was adamant about a statement I didnt make. I explained I couldnt do that, due to my work schedule. I tried to explain to her through her assistant that she may have me confused with someone else. Ive never caused a scene in her establishment. The last time I was in her establishment was the last week of June 2019. Mike and his wife serviced my daughter and I before she left for Emory University in Atlanta. Ive scene the owner be rude to clients before. However, after coming to this establishment for over two years faithfully never would I think I would be racially profiled by the owner. However, God works in mysterious ways. I found a new establishment in Hyde Park called Nikki Nails. Although, I was turned away with a horrible taste in my mouth. The service and kindness I received at Nikki Nails changed my experience for the better. Their establishment is cleaner, they took their time, and the costs was cheaper for no chip on my nails and toes. So, thank you to the racist owner that allowed me to find my new establishment based upon her racist behavior. Also, thank you to the young lady that speaks the same language as them that confirmed that in their native language the owner and some of her employees discuss their clients negatively. I thought they did but could never confirm. So, I appreciate your honest review. To Mike, his wife, Steve, Mimi and Titi I wish you all the best. Please know you as a group alone may want to think about coming together to start your own business. To lose clientele over your racist owner is ridiculous!!!!

Very unprofessional...I was there not even a whole week, between my sister and I spent $190. 2 thumb nails broke I go in today and was told he would not fix my nails, although I was willing to pay and wait if he was busy.. I will never go back..

My second time here and both nail technicians did well with my pedicure. My polish has stayed on for weeks. Its nice and open here with large tv screens and beautifully decorated.

Paid for no chip got regular polish...no chip is an extra $15....why would they do that...and they wouldnt fix...or give refund....

This place is terrible! The lady was very aggressive on my feet! She would not get the oil off my legs after I asked her 4 times! Instead of fixing my feet after I looked at them. She blamed me for messing them up. I will never got this place again!!

Techs are really good but Toooo crowded most of time. Last time I went I was sitting for an hour and a half soaking off my nails to find out the tech Mimi had tooo many clients and left me wayyy n the back soaking all that time. She put her 1pm appt in front of me while I sat soaking. When I confronted her and the owner of my dismay there was Nooooo apology and the only recourse was for me to goto someone else. I was sooo angry and frustrated due to the lack of empathy towards my time theyve wasted and let me not forget to mention that I was a Regular paying and good tipping client but that didnt matter at all. I decided to get my nails done by someone else but that would be my LAST time patronizing them wit my hard earned money!

Andy is the best. He makes sure I like my nails. Tran is great at eyebrow waxing. She always hook me up and the remodeling looks good.

Ive gone there since they open some 15 years ago, customers service is only excellent when you know your servicer and the quality of the polish for non-chip is below standard. I use them from time to time because theyre in our community.

I had been going to a nail salon downtown for years. Maxim Nails is right down the street from my house though, so I decided to give them a try. When I walked in, there were a lot of nail techs, between 5 and 7,that looked like they were on break I guess. Which is fine, but the table I was told to sit at, there was an employee sitting next to me eating lunch. As I looked around, there was a LOT of eating utensils and food that was visible. Im not a neat freak, but my experience with other places created an expectation that a client should not see all of that stuff.So then the tech that was working with me had me soak my fingers in a solution to help dissolve the no chip Polish. Totally dried up my skin, leaving my fingertips dry, cracked, and literally gray. Other places Ive gone to apply a cotton ball soaked in something to my fingernail, and then put foil or a plastic cover over it. I paid for a no chip manicure, but they hardly did anything with my cuticles at all, and since I went there, the skin around my fingers has been peeling. Never again will I let anyone soak my whole entire fingertips in a chemical solution designed to break down a Polish that is sealed with Ultraviolet light!Oh, and remember all the food I mentioned earlier? Well, while I was getting my skin dried out, I saw a small dark gray mouse run between the booths I was sitting at in the back of the shop. O_OThe ONLY reason why they have the one star is because, despite the unprofessionalism, the lack of cleanliness, and the MOUSE in the house, my no chip manicure has lasted longer than ever before, no chips, and no cracks. The woman who actually painted my nails did an outstanding job, and if I was rating her alone, Id give her 4 stars (not 5, because of the manicure).

Id give negative stars if I could. The customer service is non existent and only 1 or 2 techs are able to complete advertised services. The wait time is ridiculous and the prices are exorbitant for the quality of work. STAY AWAY

Horrible horrible horrible place to go if you want good quality nail service.1. The technicians rush you and have two different people working on your nails (One person file and the other paint) which causes a delay.2. The shop overcharges for the low quality of nail services they provide for customers.3. They are always on the phone while they are doing your nails which is unprofessional.4. Do not do the proper steps when applying acrylic and gel on nails.5. The nail technicians are rude and are hesitant when you ask them to do something correctly.6. They let “valued” customers skip ahead and the technicians will place you with a different technician in the middle of your service if that customer wants the technician you were originally placed with. (Happen to me today and the other technician did a horrible job).

1. Their prices are inflated more than any nail shops in the area.2. Their attitudes are terrible from the moment you walk in the door. There is typically a group of them sitting around the pedicure chairs eyeing you as if you’re interrupting their conversation.3. They try to upsell. CONSTANTLY. No chip chips and peels. It’s not worth the extra money unless you feel like you don’t have time to wait for the paint to dry.The employee that did my nails continued to upsell me on a no chip French tip until i was uncomfortable with her desperation and consented. Whatever. 7 days later, my nails have chipped and peeled. I work a very low maintenance job. I came back to show the lady who did them that it didn’t last and she wasn’t there. Instead, I spoke with a young thin short (browner than the others) man and he was defensive and rude from the start saying there’s an extra charge to remove no chip. I said the extra charge should be waived as my no chip chipped in less than a week and i didn’t even want it. He said that’s not possible and i said why would i continue to pay money into a business that provides terrible customer service. There is literally a nail shop on every corner. Choose a different one to give your money to.
