Been going here for as long as I’ve lived in Chicago and might still try to fly back from time to time after I’ve moved. Can’t ask for a better barber — great conversation, and a perfect cut each time.

Noverto is the best barber that Ive met ever. Hes a super personable person that everyone will love. With his 35 years of experience, he gave great hairstyle for a decent price of $30 (put into perspective of a broke college student). Would definitely recommend. [p.s. its a bit hard to go in since you need to get into the Flat Iron Arts building studio first by waiting in front of the door for the security to let you in.] + You also get the perks of getting a small tour of the gorgeous art studio around the barbershop.

I scheduled an appointment and went to get a haircut only to find out that the address listed is an apartment building that requires a code to enter. I waited outside for a few minutes but no one answered. I even tried calling the place and no one picked up.

Norm is the epitome of a Chicago barber. If you’re trying to kick back, and get a good cut over good conversation he is your guy.

He’s a nice and funny guy with good prices, but I’ve been going to him for a year and he never gets my hair the way I want it, even when I show him a picture of how I want it to look. He’s been cutting hair for 40 years and seems to be burnt out. I just left and noticed he didn’t even take anything off the top, just like last time, even though I asked him to. This is my last visit! Also I once had to wait an hour past my appointment time, and he frequently is confused about his own schedule. There are better options even if he’s conveniently located.

Booked an appointment with this “barber” months ago. Was confirmed and I made my way over. Door was locked and heard a dog barking non stop. Called the number multiple times and left a voicemail. Never had the decency to call me back to reschedule or apologize. It is obvious that this is not a real business and can not be taken seriously. If you can’t respect a potential new customer then how do you expect to increase or expand your business? You have a lot to learn.

Been going to Bucktown Barber for a few years now. The reviews are very true, Norm is the real deal. The man is from another era, where what he says is his own and is his god given opinion. Go else where if you can’t handle someone having a different view point than you. But, If you want the full barber experience and honest conversation, go here, Norm will treat you right.
