Great cut plus great conversation. You can’t go wrong here. If you’re thinking about it, this is the spot for you.
WORST Chicago BarberDo NOT waster your time or money on this horrible establishment. The lady who runs it is unbelievably rude and unprofessional. Was treated so rudely upon entering the shop I abruptly left and would NEVER return.
Amazing. Wasnt sure how to cut my hair this time around, but Helen gave me some good suggestions. I agreed to let her style and cut it in a way that would make my hair lower maintenance and good looking. She did a wonderful job.
I just needed a cleanup, so I said no reason to spend $50 on a wash, cut and blow-dry, and dont have say long hair, or want a complex cut. Sometimes I will pay up for a cut with a wash, and nice product, straight razor shave, what have you, usually at a fancy retro inspired barber shop, but much of the time get a cut for like $15 at any number of neighborhood barber shops/hair cutting places, that for me suffices, that was what I suspected here, seeing the other review saying affordable. Well lets say when I found the place, hidden away in a building - hard to find, no store front (no points off for this). Well I describe what I want which was basically a trim of already short hair, took less than 10 minutes, a so-so cut, no wash or blow dry, no product (not even offered), no powder on my neck, nothing. Okay so I wasnt expecting much, and so the place was dark and dated (celebrity hangout per other review I just dont see it) I wasnt paying for atmosphere but (and from the very nice women in the photos/Helen - the one reason not a lower rating) asked me for $40!!!! I tipped $10, thats $50, come on! Inexpensive no, not worth it, for this average at best spot. I get a better cut in the $15-$20 range in similar shops, where they take a bit more time on my hair, will ask if I want product, what have you. Guess like a restaurant if you dont see prices posted going in its buyer beware. This should be a three star $15 cut, sorry to say.I have to question the other reviews, half the lights were off, atmosphere? Celebrities?
Hands down the best haircut I’ve ever had and great conversation. Would recommend to everyone. Thanks again Helen!!
Last week my wife and I spend weekend in down town Chicago. We stayed at the Drake hotel. We came to celebrate my cousin’s anniversary. Concierge told me that there is this great place across the street to get a haircut, facial and manicure, called Best Chicago Barbers. To tell you the truly the service was amazing. I do not have much hair on my head, but by the way it was cut, my wife told me looks like I got even more. The environment there is very friendly and fun. So many celebrities were there. We’ll be definitely coming back next time we are in Chicago.THANK YOU, Helen!!!
My son and I have been customers for years. We get great haircuts and great service from the nicest barber Ive ever had. No comparison to those corporate run chain barber shops. This is a true neighborhood barber shop.
Helen is the best! A true professional!
