Have tried many different hair cutting places but Im so glad I found Jesses barbershop. I love their scheduling, have been coming here for several months now and not having to sit around for a haircut is a game changer! I havent had the pleasure to use Jesse as a barber but I have nothing but praise for Rhett, he obviously knows what hes doing and I love the fact that he gets to know his clients. Pretty much after 1st appointment I didnt need to do or say anything, just came in he said hello he asked if I wanted usual, we chatted the whole time and I got the exact haircut i was looking for with zero input on my part. Definitely recommend for anyone whos looking for a fast and professional hair cut.

Been getting my haircuts by jesse for 5 plus years. Real good guy and since he opened his shop he continues to give great haircuts. Rhett is also a phenomenal barber as well.

First of all, CASH ONLY. Though you use a card to make the reservation online, only cash is accepted for the actual haircut. If you forget, dont worry, there is a chase across the street. With that out of the way, what about the haircut? Well, being a barber wasnt Jesses first choice of profession, but he definitely has a knack for it. Expect nothing less than an amazing cut (with a straight razor used for the back) at a very reasonable price considering the care and attention that he puts in to it. If you have been going to Super Cuts or Great Clips, do yourself a favor and give Jesse a shot.

Jesses is the best. The shop has a lot of charm, its conveniently located, and Jesse is a good dude. Prices have definitely gone up since he started, but hes got bills to pay, and I have hair to be cut, so it works out nicely for everyone. Worth paying for a quality cut.

Great clean and quiet classic shop. When I say classic, I mean Jesse has it down to an art. Antiques, old music, re-purposed church pews, etc.Aside from that, Jesse is a great barber, and super friendly. I recently moved away from the area, and Jesses is one of the things I miss most. Ill still be making a 30-45 minute drive to get a haircut when I have time.

Rhett is the most friendly, best priced Barber in all of Chicago. The other 1 star review is hilarious. This isnt some budget barbershop, you get what you pay for. The prices are right on the wall when you walk in. Ive been coming here for years and likely wont stop unless I move to another state.

Jesse is an old-school barber that can give you a great haircut the way you like it. Just make sure you book in advance. Parking is limited but I usually use my Park Chicago app on my phone - parking is right in front that way!

Jesse is quick, efficient, and does a solid haircut. In and out in under 30 minutes and looking better than I would getting a cut anywhere else. The place is right in the heart of Old Irving/Portage, so convenient for anyone on the NW side

Walked in for a low fade haircut walked out with a bad cut. Had to go somewhere else to fix it. Prices are ridiculous. $40 for a shave alone makes no sense. $65 for a haircut and shave?? not worth it at all. Hate to leave a bad review but that was my experience. Nice guys tho. (i dont know his name, but the white guy cut my hair)
