Maintenance guy habitually came in my apt. when I wasnt home moving things around and snooping. This went on for 3 and a half years. When he started stealing small items I finally complained to R&M mgmt. and was told to move if I didnt like it. Very bad service.

Do anything you can to avoid living in buildings owned by these evil slum lords.

I understand policies and explaining them. What I dont understand is being rude, calling someone a liar, and then shouting at them across a parking lot, Eric. Customer service training could really help you.

Do NOT give these people your money.TLDR: Nonexistent communication, accountability, or professionalism. Makes their employees leave fake 5 star reviews.Run away and dont look back at any of their properties. Refer to their Yelp pageS, as their Google rating is conflated with either fake positive reviews or reviews that were written too early. I know this because one of them is from my building manager before he got fired. I never review, but I had to because their rating should be negative 3 stars.I was optimistic when I first went into this office to sign the lease. Lisa (who I dont think is there anymore as of September 2020 since my emails wont go through anymore) was welcoming, assuring, and answered all questions. But that completely flipped after being locked into a contract. I had been calling and emailing for OVER TWO MONTHS about repairs that needed to be done (one AC unit was broken, bathroom and kitchen were not finished on move in day, and still arent almost two years later) and parking. She was either never in the office or avoiding calls. She personally told me email was the best way to reach her because she constantly checks it but I never got any replies. The only time I ever heard from her was when she was asking for more money i.e. lease renewal. This is absolutely unacceptable. You can see from every other review that this is common practice for this business. I really wish I looked them up prior to signing. My neighbors and I have bonded over our mutual disdain for the building and management company. I am one of the last two units (out of five) to be moving out of my side of the building. People are constantly moving in and out because everyone leaves as soon as their lease is up or ends them early if they can afford to. This company is trash and needs their business license revoked so they can no longer make people pay to suffer. How many years have they been lambasted by all who had the misfortune of coming across them?? And they still wont change??? Just take it out already.

They never fix anything and do cheap repairs. Literally the property management suggested to use duct tape to fix the ac unit falling out of the wall. What a joke

I worked with Melisa Wilson and she was truly one of the best Leasing Coordinators I have worked with. I found an apartment on Saturday and following Friday I had my lease signed now I am ready to pack and move in. The company itself is very professional and Melisa is very quick to respond to emails, phone calls and she is very informative. She patiently responded to my 47 emails and questions in a professional but also friendly matter. Thank you!

Eric, who is my building engineer, is a wonderful, prompt, upbeat guy that I know I can rely on! I never have to worry about something not getting done, thanks to Eric.My interactions with Melisa have been absolutely outstanding. She is so very kind, patient, and helpful. I was very nervous to move into my first apartment totally on my own, but she really helped me feel at ease and get excited!So glad that I chose to rent with this company! Thank you!

For my first home experience, Realty & Mortgage Co. gave me an great experience. They we orderly and professional. I received communication regarding my apartment in a timely fashion. Overall, the people were friendly and helpful. I would recommend them to a friend and if possible (depending on future living location) I would want to work with them again.

This company does not do a good job at all with respecting or caring for their tenants. If a property is run by this group, please run! I’ve complained through calls and emails for months about noise complaints from my upstairs neighbors, where they were stomping until 2am in the morning on a daily basis and have a very large dog. Nothing has changed. I’ve since had to begin my search for a new place of residence in hopes for a sleep filled night.

DO NOT RENT. Rented through them for 5 yrs and saw and INCREDIBLE DECLINE in bldg care. They were hot to put their relatives in the apartments, claiming they were building managers- no- they were LAZY RELATIVES who did not clean. The building at 1255 W. Bryn Mawr 60660 began having roaches, mice and rats!! YES. RATS. Calling them was insane because employees would never reply. Why wouldnt they reply? My guess is that they didnt want to be involved with the scandals and illegal operations of the company. If your portfolio is being managed by Realty & Mortgage, you may as well flush it down the toilet. You will need SUCH extensive repairs by the time you get it back that you will kick yourself for hiring them.

Just had the rudest conversation with a leasing agent Lisa. She needs to work on her customer service. Will not be recommending anyone here. Do not move into 1234 W Loyola ave.

Do not rent from this company if you move to 5356 n ridge avenue, Chicago 60660 apt building. They have RATS, MICE and COCKROACHES. The front door and back gate are never locked and every theif in Chicago has access to the building. The back pourch was ALWAYS covered in Peigon Poop! They NEVER cleaned it. I had to take photos of the poop and threaten to call the health inspector. They will never responded to you when you submit claims. The Assistant Manager, Cassandra Williamson is the contact and she drops the ball on keeping things up to code. Seada is the building Manager. She’s nice but can never get anything accomplished. I had mold and leaks in my Celling because a tenant let his bath overflow. This caused serious damage to the lights and electricity in my unit. They dragged their feet with fixing the problem 👎. It never was fixed. They are absolutely Awful! Do not move there no matter how cheap it is. I’m writing this review to keep others from making the same horrible mistake I did. You have officially been warned. Best of luck with your move.Perry

This management company is HORRIBLE!! They have ZERO communication and will lie to your face. Best part is, they then ignorethe question when you ask them.

Based on the experience my friend went through I would give this company 0 ZERO stars . ! The point of contact (a lady) not sure of her name right now. Is a liar . !! My friend has a mice problem and they lie about the dates, they gonna send over a exterminator. They are not aggressive in fixing the issue. They forgot people can hold rent for this issue . Zero starts, dont rent with them RUN. !!!

Absolutely unprofessional!!!!!!!!!! They said my electric was included in my rent after they lied to com Ed saying that my garden apartment wasnt an apt and scheming money off com Ed, yea they found out after 10 months... They then basically said it wasnt their problem and I had to call COM Ed, then after having my electric shut off I have to pay backpay of almost $1000 then was told the realtor the mortgage wasnt responsible... Unprofessional liars... (Do not trust this company!!!!)

This company gives people appartments with roaches and mice in them and dont mention it during the showing or durring the move in process. Dont rent from them.
