I lived at 55 W Chestnut for one year between Aug 2016 and July 2017. The location was great, with easy access to restaurants, bars, groceries, and even a beach! The building itself was slightly on the older side, but was well maintained and affordable. However, what made the living experience truly comfortable was the excellent service of the building management, especially Laura. We always got prompt and reliable service from her, which really helped since I had a busy work schedule.All in all, would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in River North / Gold Coast at a reasonable price.

I was a little worried when I heard our building was being sold - change can be scary - but we couldnt be happier with the changes that Planned Property Management has made! The building is cleaner, the staff is nicer and when I had an issue with a rent payment their corporate staff could not be more accommodating! They have even thrown some top notch events at the building in effort to really get to know all the tenants - in sum its nice to rent from a company that puts the resident first - THANK YOU PPM!

Great building! Clean and quiet on beautiful tree lined street. Clayton did great job showing different unit option. I really like walk from school to home.

Great building, apartment, location and neighbors, but... TERRIBLE manager. Her name is (deleted), and she has zero social skills. Rude, curt, and downright unpleasant. I would not hire her to be a meter maid (no offense to meter maids, I just know you need to have a certain disposition for that job.) I never like to leave any negative reviews about anything, but her continued poor attitude pushed me to the brink. Ill leave 5 stars because I do think the building is stellar.Sorry for the vent session!Edit: Decided to remove the managers name.

My friend lives in this building, and has had a great overall experience. I visit constantly, and can attest that the maintenence crew is reliable, the building is clean and well kept, and the outdoor terrace is pretty nice. Its expensive, but you get what you pay for.

Ive been here 5 years and love it. The staff is great and cant beat the location.

Nice place to stay in Downtown with reasonable rent.
