I had given 5-stars a couple of years ago under Robs management. Now, I scaled back to 2 stars. My packages have been stolen multiple times from the mail room and from the lobby within seconds when I had stepped out to park my car just for a few mins. I am not comfortable ordering anything online.
My mom lives here, someone who has access to her apartment stolen some money, they did it couple times and management said to call the police, it is extremely unprofessional!
Worst apartment Ive ever had. They will up charge for rent solely based off location (Hyde Park). I lived in Museum Walk Apartments for 3 years. The elevators would malfunction monthly. The building had multiple different types of bugs throughout the year. Brown water coming from sink faucets, old carpet, lead paint, bad lighting, no security on site, absolutely no upgrades to the building, packages being stole, washing machines always down or take your money ( vending machines too) and management changes quite often..... Hyde Park isnt what it used to be, definitely not worth it
Elevators always down.. they go up on rent every year but never fix anything.. very dissapointing
The on site management, particularly Tiffany Stacey, is highly unprofessional. Besides her poor sense of urgency, she lacks a professional decorum void of any empathy or accountability. She is very condescending and unapproachable; unwilling to offer any solutions to issues that arise. She has made my experience at this property a living nightmare. Most alarming is that she is very untruthful.
I had lived there for 5 yr 10 mo, from Sep 2011 to Jun 2017. The place is perfect for UChicago community. The location is superb: it is a 4 min walk to the Shore, a 2 min walk to Downtown buses 6, 10, and X28, a 5 min walk to Metra and South Shore trains, and a 15 min walk to the UC campus (it is a 2 min walk to a stop of bus 171, free for the UC community, and a short walk from UC night shuttles). The area seems safer than average in Hyde Park (from UC crime reports); nothing happened in the vicinity of 56th and S Everett during my 6 years there. They have 8 or so rental parking spots (of which all were reserved most of the time), but you or your guests can often find a safe parking spot on 56th St or Stony Island. The building is in a decent shape, from the 20s or so, and they seemed to take care of it regularly. There are a nice exercise room and a laundry room in the building. If you would like to live with a roommate in a one-bedroom, floor plans of X01 (we lived in 601 for three years) are perfect for you. You do not walk through the living room to get to the bathroom or the kitchen, so one can take the bedroom and the other the living room. Main hallway studios are pretty spacious, but with small kitchens. Many thanks to the team of 2011 - 2014 (Leah, Jackie, and Kevin) for the easy and welcomed move-in. Many thanks to Tiffany for my last year and move-out. Occasionally there have been minor issues with elevators, garbage, cleanliness, but they were resolved timely. All of my apartment issues (faucet problems, bathroom lining, and ceiling paint) were resolved promptly and with high quality. Many thanks to the team for organizing socializing events with food: a good opportunity to meet your neighbors.
Not worth it . Apartments are old and overpriced . No security, so any and everyone has access to the door once domes walks in or out. Hence why packages are CONSTANTLY coming up missing . THE BUGS ! RUN
Packages get lost here. Send them to a trusted friend.
No Stars ! I wouldn’t recommend any human being to live here. The worst management ever in history of renting.
