The interior design is incredible. Their recent renovations carry a modern, bespoke looks. The apartments have views well worth the price.

The management is terrible. They try and convince you things that they are unsure off themselves. The outlets barley work themselves and the lights die out every now and then. Even worse theres a bug problem that they keep saying they are fixing but it doesnt seem to be like that. In the past 8 months, I would expect it to be fixed but no. The only thing thats nice about this apartment is that its close to lakeshore and the neighborhood is nice.

This place hasn’t been updated in a long time. The smell of this place haunts me every-time I walk in. There has been a dead cockroach at the base of the firs escape door for 6+ months. The personal units can be kept nice and are pretty good studios. Basically the rest is... bad. Laundry is shared and actually pretty decent.

Great location and nice units, but VERY poor management/maintenance when it comes to repairs and remedying issues.Ill start by saying these apartments have an incredible location, and are fantastic. However, Ive had continued troubles with management, specifically regarding routine maintenance for my unit. Ive lived here for 2 leases now, and these issues began when management changed roughly a year ago.Initially, I had a pull-string fall out of my fan, leaving it stuck on its fastest setting. It took over a month for this to be fixed, despite filing multiple requests.Currently (and this issue is why my rating is as low as it is), the radiators produce an extremely loud banging noise lasting for 10-30 seconds, which happens at all hours of the night. Ive not had a full night of sleep in several weeks and this issue has yet to be fixed, despite me filing multiple repair requests and calling management multiple times.I love this location, but its unacceptable to be woken up multiple times a night over the course of several weeks and have NO communication from management on a timeline to fix the issue, or a way to compensate me for what become an extremely uncomfortable living situation.If management were more communicative on timelines and more prompt to actually carry out repairs, I would raise my rating. Unfortunately though, that has not been my experience.UPDATE: Removing a star again-- The issue has yet to be resolved despite management repeatedly telling me theyre working on it. Ive now been woken up NIGHTLY by this banging for the last 2.5mo. Additionally, 1/3rd of the washing machines in the building are broken an have been for several weeks.This is a great location, unfortunately marred by outdated facilities and poor management. Would not recommend at the moment until these issues are resolved.

Ive had the pleasure of living here for almost a year now and its been great. Not that Ive had many issues, but there was an instance where an easy fix was needed in my apartment and it was done SO quickly and smoothly right when I communicated my concern. The owner is GREAT with communication and responds to issues or questions promptly. I have so many options for public transportation, many options to some fun bars for the night life, and a beautiful park with a pond ALL nearby. Its even walking distance to the lake! Im happy to say Im renewing my lease for another 12 months!

Having moved in this year (2020), I am thrilled to have found this place. The building and unit is very clean and the management is impeccable. When I was searching, I found reviews of this place mentioning how great the building and management are. Those reviews are correct. Tammi is incredible. I consider myself lucky for having found such great place, in a phenomenal area, for an affordable price!

Lived here for an entire year and was pleased with the place and service provided! Tammi (the landlady) did an amazing job to work and find a new space that fit my needs and budget when my current one was out of price range. Tenants are all very nice and laid back!

Tammi was amazing!! She took us same day and last minute to go through and look at apartments and She was extremely knowledgeable when answering our questions.

What a great place! The building manager, Tammi Holness, is responsive to requests and always available. The building is very well-run -- maintenance stays on top of repairs and cleaning. Lobby & hallways are always spotless. A well-run, quiet building in a super-convenient location.

My brother recently moved in and everyone has been so nice. Tammy the senior office manager is outstanding and very accommodating. I highly recommend this apartment complex.

We are extremely happy with our decision to rent at Beachwalk Apts! My daughter is in her last year of school and decided to get away from the dorm life. After doing some research, we made an appt to see a couple of units there. Tammi Holness, the property manager, helped us. From beginning to end, she was AMAZING! She guided us through the whole lease signing and move-in process, and made sure she was available in case there was any questions (which there was none since Tammi covered everything). If youre looking for a great building in the PERFECT location in Lincoln Park, please seek Tammi out and schedule an appointment to see available units! Its a 5 minute walk to the lake and Lincoln Park Zoo :-)

Worst place Ive ever lived. The apartments are small and over priced. The current property manager is the most unprofessional person Ive ever met. She has no idea how to run a building and she should not be in a position to manage anything. The building is disgusting. Ive seen roaches in the basement and rats outside by where the cars are parked. The walls are so thin you can hear other residents having sex even if they are not directly next to you or above you. This place is full of young and stupid students. (Im 21 myself, but mentally Im a lot more mature). If youre an adult and want to live in a building with other adults dont live here! I cant wait to move to lakeview in my much bigger and better apartment.

First, I would like to thank Tammi Holness (Property Manager) for being an outstanding landlord. Beachwalk apartments was everything and more than I had expected. I’m originally from Detroit, but Tammi made it easy making the transition to Chicago through her dependable/genuine communication. Tammi is also incredibly personable and truly listens to any concerns you may have and will walk you through with a solution. On top of that, the maintenance manager (Benny) is incredibly fast and efficient when taking service requests.Aside from the management team, the apartments themselves are great and affordable! Being next to numerous grocery stores (Trader Joes, Wal Mart, Whole Foods, etc.), Gyms, the beach –among other things, makes living here satisfying. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend Beachwalk Apartments. You won’t regret it!
