I signed for a 15-month lease for a convertible apartment at Marlowe. The incredible finishes, private terrace, and it being completely outfitted as a smart apartment (we are talking an app that control the thermostat) is what sold me. My apartment feels high quality and worth the steep price point, compared to the other similarly priced buildings in the area I toured that felt like college - cheap cabinets, dated kitchens, small bathrooms, etc.The leasing agent Ive worked with, Gratiana, has been the absolute star of my leasing and move-in experience at Marlowe. She has made me feel so personally cared for, and has been incredibly communicative during the process to ensure a normally stressful process, like moving, has been seamless and easy.Absolutely recommend this building!
The apartment was great while I was there. It is very chic and amazing design with a great management and concierge. The rent is high but its River North.I think they could do more community neighbor events. Worth checking out.
Updating my prior review since the dog run was updated. So far a few months into living here, we have really enjoyed the apartment and community. Gym is great and I love the Peloton connected bikes. Equipment is above average from what I have experienced at most other apartments. We didn’t really get to experience the pool area much this year, but it is a fantastic area and we are looking forward to it next summer! The apartments are very well designed and the living space is large and open. The smart features are great with the auto blinds/lights/thermostat and I will probably never be able to live without black out blinds in the future. The only negative is the dog run is still not my favorite without any grass/artificial grass on the dog run. It is better now that it is operational in the winter but cleaning has kind of slowed and it can get pretty dirty.Otherwise, Management is the best I have experienced and communication is always improving, which is very appreciated. They also follow through on what they say they will do.I’ve been meaning to update this since I moved out, but back when the pandemic hit my wife and I had to get out of the city. Ermin was fantastic to work with. He helped us navigate breaking the lease and the various options we had. Throughout our entire time there, Ermin was a great property manager. Always followed through on things and really took great care of the property. I upped this to five starts because even with the less than desirable dog run, the apartments are beautiful, well equipped and the management team is literally the best in Chicago. Can’t recommend this place enough.
The management office informed residents a few days ago that the dog run has been completely shut down for the entire rest of the winter. If you have a dog and are thinking about leasing here, I would stay away. The amenities in the building are great for the most part but unfortunately not having a place to let my dog run around and go to the bathroom during the crazy cold (morning and night) is unacceptable. Like the other reviewer mentioned... it is completely lazy to just close the dog run with no alternative. A few solutions could include laying down turf for the season, enclosing the area so no rain or snow can enter and spot cleaning the area and laying down salt. Unless something is done about this, I will not be resigning my lease here and will make sure you tell everyone to keep away from this building if they have pets. Not sure what I pay $25 a month in pet rent for when I cant even use the most important amenity. If anything changes, I will update my review.
Just got accepted to live in this building. Can’t wait!
