Rented an apartment through M & D for two years. Any maintenance requests were taken care of within a day or same day if critical. Main office was easy to reach by telephone and email and always prompt and courteous with their response (Marcy was always a pleasure!). Enjoyed living in my unit and thought it was fairly priced.

Excellent folks, we found an apartment in the building their office is in and theyve been nothing but thoughtful, accommodating, and fast throughout the process of moving in.

Lived in one of their apartments in Noble square for a couple of years and had an excellent experience. Interaction with the management team was always pleasant and problems were addressed and resolved quickly. I can recommend them!

They just took over a building I live in.Lots of excuses of getting back to me with answers about getting some things fixed... Crickets.They are great about sending out rent invoices via email then charge you a fee for paying online.The greatest part of dealing with the manager so far is there offer to let me out of my lease - Because I want you to be happy LOL.I informed her I would leave for a specific dollar amount - Oh, we cant do thatHaving an informed/legally represented tenant in Chicago is a sub standard landlords worst nightmare.That would be me.I pay for certain things and I expect them to be delivered.So far this company has delivered nothing except continued bad management for a property owner that has been cited by the city on a couple of occasions.If you are a property owner and you want to wind up in court... These are the people to hire.

I am writing to encourage you to avoid M&D. I have had nothing but horrible experiences in my two years as a tenant. Renewing my lease is a mistake that I deeply regret. Since my first dispute with M&D early in my tenancy, the organization has been retaliating against me for threatening legal action when they failed to provide me access to my circuit breaker in accordance with the Cook County Municipal Code. Ultimately they agreed to repay me for the lost use of the apartment. They have ignored numerous reasonable requests for repairs and the extermination of rodents, which still can be heard in the walls. The apartment they provided me was not properly insulated and bitterly cold in the winter. It would likely not pass inspection and I will be reporting it. The company took one final shot at me in my final month as a tenant when they lost one of my final rent checks, a money order. I foolishly left the receipt attached to the check and had to leave it in the mail slot. It is clear to me that M&D saw that I had failed to keep my receipt this one time and knew I would have no way of contesting their claim that I missed a payment. Do not rent from M&D. I would not wish them on my worst enemy.
