I really enjoyed my first visit to Fourth Ward Dentistry. However, my second experience was unpleasant. I was scheduled for a cleaning appointment at 8:30 AM in August. I arrived at my appointment at 8:20 AM. I was unable to have a cleaning because of an hour long wait to verify insurance. Apparently, the office goes through a third party for verification. After being informed about around 9:40 AM that my insurance was verified and I was good to go-I was told that the cleaning would take another hour. Unfortunately, I had to go to work therefore I could not be at the office for a total of 3 hours. I was pretty understanding about the situation and rescheduled. However, I also inquired and visited other dentists office in the meantime and found out that I was given the wrong X-rays after I asked for my records. I was given X-rays for someone with missing teeth and I have all my teeth including wisdom. Needless to say, unfortunately I will not be returning and I hope things get better here.

Best dentist by far in Charlotte! Dr. Sundaresh was so informative and made me feel better about my teeth. The Assistant took my X-rays with no issue! She made it so they were easy going. The front desk? Wow, so polite and kind. I was sat immediately & my appointment was in the middle of the day; aka rush hour for businesses. I would highly recommend this office, as I will be seeing them in a week for my root canal! 10/10 check them out.

The best dental office I’ve ever been to! I told my dentist my goals and in one day she made sure to get my bottom row exactly how I wanted! Major confidence boost! My family also loves my results. They’re great with both the cosmetic and health ends of dental care. The staff is so kind, knowledgeable and welcoming, I had an amazing experience. I’m actually excited for my next appointment and would recommend to anyone!

Staff was friendly, but I had a very confusing experience today. I came in as a new patient on time for my appointment, and x rays and pictures were taken. The dentist pointed out some things he noticed, including a cavity that needed filling. I was then left on my back in the exam room. I was expecting someone to come in and perhaps start the dental cleaning process, however that never happened. Instead after about 10 min of staring at the ceiling, someone came in and offered to move my seat back, but after that, again nothing. I probably spent about 20-25 min in the exam room, until another person came in to talk about the billing for the filling. Again, that was fine, but then I was asked to come to the front desk, and pay a deposit for the filling, and then that I could go. At no point was I told I would not be having the cleaning I assumed was part of my visit. Instead I have to come back in 2 weeks for the cleaning and filling? So I basically spent about 50 min at the office, and only briefly spoke to the dentist, and was then told to come back in 2 weeks. I have probably been to 3 or 4 dentists as a new patient, and have never just been left alone in an exam room for such a long time, and then not had any any services rendered except to say come back later. The dentist or hygentist may have been busy(from what i could hear through the hallway, another patient had some extensive work that needed to be done), but it would have been nice to have been kept in the loop, and honestly did not build a ton of confidence for any return visits to the office.

This practice is simply amazing. From when I walked through the door until I left I truly enjoyed it. Very sanitary, spectacular customer service, the staff is gentle, educated and patient.

They are not very good communicators. Whenever I try to schedule an appointment its either changed or canceled even though Ive expressed to them that I am in a lot of pain...pain following a root canal that I had there in July of this year. I havent been able to have my follow up consultation from that procedure because my appointments keep getting canceled. I work in a professional office setting and have to be very strategic and limited with any time I take off during the week. My weekend appointments kept getting canceled so I tried to schedule my most recent appointment on a Wednesday because their website says they close at 6pm on Wednesdays. I was told by the lady on the phone that the latest appt I could get would be 5 pm. I happily took that appointment and confirmed it when I got the confirmation email. Then received a text saying my appt was for 4:30...not asking me to change my time...telling me that that was my time. Please see attached pictures. At this point I just do not have the time in my life for this weird tug of war with a dental office.

The staff was real pleasant. But the dentist was amazing. I was so scared but he pulled my tooth with patience. He was so reassuring and he took his time and made sure I was comfortable at all times. I would recommend this office to anyone who has a fear of the dentist . They really treat you like they care.thank you so much.Dr S your tge best.

Good facility, slow customer service. Process needs to be more streamlined, waited almost 2 hrs for them to just take pictures and X-rays of teeth. IDK, try at own risk.

The Ladies at the front desk were so sweet and nice right upon arrival!! Helped me with the application process, and made me feel very comfortable. I was taken back quickly, addressed by name, asked how I was feeling, they were all so compassionate towards my problem. Nurse came in and a few questions and explained every step of what will happen. Xrays were taken and the Dr.(Dentist) came in and explained my X-rays to me, and what my options were and a process we can thru. A nurse came in and explained to me what was needed, and gave me a prescription for infection.She explained to me that After I finish all the medication, they can proceed with the process of getting my teeth taken care of. I will say, this dentist office is so advanced with the care provided to me- an action plan to get me started on my teeth, and a price that I can work with. I will recommend this practice to everyone I know that needs a dentist but is to afraid to find one. Thank you all so very much for taking such good care of me!!!

Great experience, appointment was on time. Dentist assistant was also very knowledgeable. The dentist was also great, very reassuring and prioritized what was most important. They actually took the time to ask what issues the patient may be experiencing prior to starting.

Had a terrible experience with this dentist office. I came in and get X-rays done for my wisdom teeth to be removed. After receiving a diagnostics I scheduled for my extraction. I scheduled for my extraction to be done in the month of June which was 1 1/2 months away from the time I scheduled the procedure. I took off work and made plans so that I can have time off to recover for a couple days from having 4 wisdom teeth pulled. I received a phone call a day before the procedure that my appointment was canceled because they decided to be close last minute… remind you I scheduled this appointment 1 1/2 months in advance taken off work for a couple days just for them to call me the night before to say it’s canceled. The worst thing about it was that the next available time they were able to give me was a month away from my original date… worst experience I have had with a dentist in my 27 years alive.

Found my new dentist! I actually had a dental emergency and they got me in the same day to be seen and scheduled my follow up appointment for the same week. Very professional staff, super friendly, very clean and bright atmosphere. They also have TVs on the ceiling that you can watch and they let you choose what to watch on Netflix, so cool!

Really fun that you can watch Netflix during the appointment, staff is super friendly, and dentist is very knowledgable. Always feel at ease there which isn’t always the case at a dentist office!

Staff is nice but they are under staffed and they don’t seem to organized and all on the same level as to what is going with their patients it’s always something you have to come back for when it’s the reason for the appointment! But they make sure to get that payment “ securing ur appointment and then when you get there on your scheduled paid for appointment you have to make another one because they aren’t staffed enough to proceed

My daughter had terrible experience because she gets medicaid. They informed her she has a infection but didn’t even prescribe her any antibiotics. Just sad

Highly recommend to anyone who struggles with anxiety at the dentist. They’re very patient and understanding. Multiple employees went above and beyond to accommodate to my anxiety. They checked on me multiple times throughout the process, made time for me in a last minute appointment, and one even stayed on the phone to help calm me down when I was overwhelmed on my way to be seen. Love this place. They were so kind and gentle. From the time you walked in the door until you walked out the door they make you feel welcome and comfortable.

Being new to the city, I didn’t have any referrals so I went out on a limb. Thankfully I’ve found a great place, and it’s downstairs from my apartment. Schedules/availability as early as 8:00 am which is helpful, especially with being in education. The location is clean, modern, staff is friendly, and TV’s everywhere no matter the position. I relocated from New York and was in need of a dentist. It took a while because I normally experience a little anxiety when I visit the dentist but the staff here was friendly and went out the way to make me feel comfortable. The ambience is very relaxing. Dr Raghav was patient and took the time to answer all my questions and concerns. I would and already recommend 4th Ward Dentistry.Thanks for all your help, I truly appreciate it.Oh and location is a +. Its right next door to the best pizza spot in the city!!!

The staff made me feel comfortable. The dental assistance was wonderful in helping ease my anxiety. She explained everything that was going to happen. She was pleasant and gave me positive feedback and made me feel cared for.

Had to wait almost two hours in pain for insurance to verify after a appointment canceled by them on Saturday due to call outs wasn’t happy but very friendly place quick and affordable the staff there is great

I used to have a lot of anxiety related to going to the dentist and I’ve never felt comfortable going before, but the people, and the service I’ve had here has helped to relive almost all of that. They know my name, what I do for work, and they seem genuinely interested to know how I’ve been. I cannot say enough good things about this place. If you’re looking for a new dentist to actually take care of you and not just make you a number in a system this is the place to go.

Before visiting Dr. S at Fourth Ward Dentistry, sadly, I had not been to the dentist in 5 years. Prior to Dr. S, I had some horrible experiences with dentists and decided I just wouldnt go to anyone. The customer service was warm and welcoming before stepping foot in the office. As a customer service professional, that means a lot.The service I received was superior to any dentist that I have experienced. The dental hygienist were gentle yet effective. They were very knowledgeable and provided great care. Dr. S took time to walk me through my dental needs and goals. He did not make me feel like I was just another patient. This is by far THE BEST dentist in the greater Charlotte area! Leslie that works the front desk was absolutely exceptional with her customer service. I called on Monday 1.11.2021 and she made room for my fiance to come in early the next morning for a tooth that had been giving him so much pain. We had previously went to another dentist that said they couldnt do anything (truthfully didnt want to be bothered with the pull in my opinion), but Dr. Sundaresh came to the rescue. We got to the office, which was beautiful and clean (they also validate nearby parking which was AWESOME), and everyone was COVID appropriate and so pleasant. The doctor was professional, very nice, and very fast. This will definitely be our forever dentist. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

My experience was not the best. I scheduled a teeth cleaning a month ago and when I came in I was told by the Hygienist, we are just doing x rays today, sorry. So I came back a few days later and got my teeth cleaned (I think anyway, they didn’t even use toothpaste, thought that was odd). I also got a filling that day since that was reflected on the X-ray. A few days later I had gotten a sharp pain in the filling I just got, I gave it about 2 weeks until I called back. The Dentist thought it may have been a uneven filling, so he filed it down. That didn’t seem too help either with the sharp pain. Came back in about a week later and got my tooth refilled. Again, that didn’t work either, still a sharpp pain that is getting worse. I plan to see another dentist to get another opinion and hopefully get this resolved. Planned to come in once, now I’m on my 5th trip to the dentist.. I will say the front desk, hygienists and dentist were very nice and provided a great atmosphere, just didn’t work out for me.

The Dental service I received was awesome. I had to have 2 wisdom teeth removed. I have a phobia of dentist due to a traumatizing experience. I explained to the team my concerns and they saw how nervous I was. This team went above and beyond to help me relax. The Dental Assistant even held my hand to help comfort me and keep me calm. I have found the right dental office!! Fourth Ward Dentistry is my dental office of choice. 🤗

DR. DENISE at Fourth Ward dentistry was amazing. Aside from her being professional she also made me feel welcomed. I went in for a wisdom tooth extraction and found it it was more that needed to be done other than my wisdom tooth being pulled. She explained it with ease and judgement was passed. For that they will be come my permanent home for dental work!!!

I went to fourth ward dentistry today, and I must say my visit was fantastic the staff was amiable and Dr. S to was patient with me and is a very detailed description type of Doctor. I love that the only issue I had was not knowing were to Park, but once inside, they explained the parking, and they do validate. I must say give this place a try you will not be disappointed, and they due accept different types of payment.

Today I had the pleasure of being a patient and everyone from the front office team to Dr. S and his Assistant were great ! love the easy to fill out electronic new patient paperwork instead of the old school hard copies you typically have to fill out ! It was a good experience overall. Vanessa was very helpful and made sure that my experience was good. The only downside of my visit is that my appointment was at 10am, and I was seen at 10:45 approx. and after X-rays were done, I had to wait another 30-45 mins for the doctor to come.

Denise, Dental Assistant and Dr. S. were extraordinarily professional experienced and kept me in touch with reality and alert while I listened to their stories. Amazing

The experience with Forth Ward was amazing! From the first point of contact with the office staff, who promptly got me in for an appointment to get a gum concern examined, to the the exam with the dentist. He was nice, professional and took his time answering all questions.

This place is absolutely amazing! The staff is great, they r so friendly n make u feel at home! I had to get a tooth abstracted n the dentist was the best... I have seen a lot of different dentist in my 34 years of life but none compare to this one, he was great at what he done n was very quick, and caring! I took my son with me he is 3 he sit in the lobby with my husband n the nurses would check on him and see if he needed anything! Everything about this place was amazing! I would recommend if ur looking for a dentist to go here!!!

Always putting you on hold. The actual dentist don’t ever remember you and basically repeat what he said last time and try to force you to pay for crowns and fillins 😏

I absolutely love this place and Dr. Sundaresh. He was able to fit my son in for his root canal, even though he already had a full schedule. When I walked in the room, it felt like home. The staff were very friendly and very patient which is important to me. They always reassured myself and my son that everything will be ok. The dental assistant offered me water and snacks because we were there for a while. They made us feel comfortable. They were able to ease some of the anxiety my son had before getting his root canal. They even have TVs in each room to make the patients feel comfortable. That really helped my son to calm down, too. I would definitely recommend Fourth Ward Dentistry to anyone who is looking for a dental office to go to or a change of dental offices. Truly amazing people!

I was very impressed with the care and compassion that Dr. Sundaresh and his wife showed me. I had never been a patient of this office. I was in excruciating pain the day before and even though the office was closed the next day, they opened the office to see me. Great experience, friendly staff. All new equipment and TVs in every room. This is right across my office building and it made my annual checkup quick and easy. TVs were a nice touch, they pulled up my X-Rays and showed me what was going on and what to watch out for. After that, I watched “The Office” during my cleaning.

They were all amazing. Nice from rhe moment i got it the dentist does a quick jump and correct definitely will be my primary for now on
