I have always had a positive experience at this location. Dr. Patel is very knowledgeable and patient. I dont feel like I am being taken advantage of with unnecessary procedures. The staff is friendly and really makes me feel comfortable. I would recommend FDG of Rivergate if you are looking for your family dentist! This dental office is run like a five star hotel!!! For a minute, I forgot that I was at the dentist. The receptionist was gracious and Renea was fabulous in making me feel comfortable. Dr. Nguyen was thorough an even took the time to explain her plans.

Everybody knows how very difficult it is to find a great dentist and a great doctor. Everybody (front desk, dental assistant, technicians, hygienist (Robin )and Dr. Patel) are super friendly. I love the organization, the professionalism, the efficiency and a small wait time. I had a couple of bad hygienists and dentists because they were rude and my former dentist told me that I was grinding my teeth. However, after coming to Dr. Patel, he never once told me that I grind my teeth. Thus, Dr. Patel does not find things wrong just for extra money. He also stays current on the latest technology. Lastly, my insurance only pays for two checkups, two cleanings and one x-ray. One day Dr. Patel waived the $50.00 fee. I never had a dentist that waived a fee before which was a nice surprise.

Far from friendly. Should be called rude. Told me they couldn’t book me on a Saturday until August, which was fine with me. Hung up on me when I couldn’t make a weekday appointment and told me to call back if something changes.

We recently relocated to the Lake Wylie area and, as such, have had to find all new medical & dental providers. Ive asked a bunch of my mom friends about where they go, but most are all the way over in Rock Hill (while we live in Clover) which isnt all that convenient. After much research & review-reading, I decided upon Friendly Dental and I was not disappointed! I had a general exam and cleaning yesterday and was thoroughly pleased with the staff and services provided. The name says it all--they are most definitely FRIENDLY! I called on Monday and was able to be seen on Wednesday...now, that was a surprise since most dentists seem to books weeks (nay, months) out. At any rate, it was great to get in so quickly. The office is extremely clean and modern, including massage chairs while you have your teeth worked on & mounted flat screen televisions in each exam area--certainly not necessities but nice perks, for sure! Each and every staff member is friendly and welcoming, as well as efficient yet thorough. Dr. Patel did my exam/check and was friendly, quietly confident, and fast. A HUGE plus about Friendly Dental is that they dont push extras like whitening, etc.--I really loathe dental offices that do that; Friendly didnt even go down that path, which is SO refreshing! I highly recommend Friendly Dental!

Great dental office south of the city. I work nearby so super convenient for me. Theyve been really good about working with my schedule and getting me in quick for necessary work. Had a get a cavity filled and they were able to get me in that same day before I left so I didnt have to come back. Highly recommend!

If I can rate 0 I would . The younger Latina receptionist was incredibly rude. While I was asking for additional information regarding my appointment and she has this habit of laughing In your face & coming off nonchalant about everything . Never a good experience when I communicate w/ the individual.

The team here lives up to the name- Friendly! They are all very kind, and the dental work itself is efficient and not painful.I also appreciate the extra time and attention they provide to my daughter, at age six going to the dentist is still a bit daunting... But they make her feel at ease!

Finding a great dentist isnt easy, especially when you have to find one that is both close to either home or office AND participates in my insurance plan.This was my second visit to Dr. Patel and have been very pleased with the services. I did not have to sit there and wait forever. Everyone was very friendly and professional and I received great care. I had a great experience today! A very professional dentist office. The facility was very neat and clean. The assistants were great and my dental hygienist cleaned my teeth very well. They made me feel very comfortable. Not to mention, I was in and out within an hour and I didnt have to wait long to be seen. Loving my neighborhood dental office!

2 years ago I used to go to a fancy dentist at South End, and a dentist told me I need to do multiple fillings and it would cost me about $1000 with my insurance. My husband suggested that I would try his dentist (near his work), Friendly Dental Group of RIvergate. I was seen by Dr Patel, who said: Your teeth are fine. You have some cavities, but they dont seem like growing, so you dont need to do anything. He has been my dentist for 2 years, never pushed any unnecessary procedure, always kind and gentle. Im just happy there are such honest doctors around.

The entire staff was very friendly and professional. My two year old had a great time during his examination and cleaning. It helped that each cubicle had a television with direct TV so that he could be distracted for his exam. I also appreciated that feature as well.I also appreciated the front staff validating my insurance BEFORE services were rendered. During my exam, Dr. Patel informed me of an unexpected dental problem. He offered to do the procedure during the exam/cleaning and the billing manager was able to explain my benefits so I could make an informed decision.Dr. Patel and his hygienist were friendly and had my comfort in mind.Overall, a very nice facility, a convenient location, and a caring staff.

I went to my first appointment today. Was skeptical first, since my family just moved from New York, where we had a good dentist for many many years. I have to say, I was very impressed with quality of the services. I didnt have wait to be called to the doctors office. In fact, there were no people waiting - they seem to take timeliness seriously. Dr. Patel was very nice, attentive, and professional. He patiently and with great knowledge answered all my questions. The hygienist Vicky was amazing! She did a super great job to clean my teeth - very thoroughly yet very gently, which is a rare thing as I learned after many many cleanings in my life. Kat, the office manager, was super nice and went an extra mile to provide detailed information about my insurance coverage. I am happy! My husband is going there next! Keep up the good job!

Wonderful office staff. From Amber (the X-ray tech & dental assistant) to the front desk staff, billing rep, hygienist, and dentist, all were pleasant and caring. I deducted one star only due to the painful cleaning. Granted its been a year since my visit to a dentist due to relocating, but my previous dentist visits (cleanings) were never so painful. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the fact that there is a private TV and massage chair in each exam room.

They have an excellent service and very friendly people. My wife has the best cleaning experience ever. I highly recommend this dental clinic for adults and kids.

Today I met a dental hygienist, April who did my deep cleaning on left side of my mouth. She was very kind and listened, I would not want anyone but her to do my mouth cleanings, She did not rush or hurt me. I also think Kat the receptionist is great she worked around my schedule with future dental work . She also was kind enough to make a copy of dental work i need done. These two women started my day off to a great start. Please note all cleanings i need i want April to do them.

Need a better sign for entrance!! The lady that does x-rays was awesome. Felt alot more comfortable with her than the dentist. Location is not really welcoming and can hear personal business and conversations. Even while in waiting room. May not comeback after next appointment since its already set.

We are new to the Charlotte area and needed a dentist to care for our daughter right away. We appreciated the friendly welcome, the help in getting us in with only a few hours notice and for the quality care she received. She even received some pampering as well. A positive first experience and well, I think weve found our family dentist. :)

I went in for my initial appointment today with Dr. Patel with apprehension. I do not like going to the dentist for ANY reason! I was pleasantly surprised by the support staff and with Dr. Patel himself. Everything was explained clearly and Dr. Patel made sure I understood what my options were. I was also given a written treatment plan stating what needed to be done and how much my portion cost would be. The hygienist and dental assistant took time to make me feel relaxed before they did any procedures.I was treated as if my personal comfort was number one! The staff put me at ease from the beginning and made my visit stress-free. I have to return for more treatment but I am NOT worried or apprehensive anymore about walking through the door.Thank everyone for making my dental visit a pleasant one today!

I had my first appointment today. Its hard for me to write a review about a place Ive only been once, and to try and compare services when before youve been at the same dentist for 20+ years.But the front desk ladies were extremely nice, and were very pleasant.The others that I came into contact with werent as pleasant, but they were nice, and they were professional. They did a great job listening to my concerns, and told me their opinions, their concerns.

Dr. Patel and staff were extremely friendly. They explained everything along the way and made sure to make the process as comfortable and painless as possible. I have always feared dentists, but found this to be the most painless and pleasant dental experiences I have ever had.

Jadnt been to a dentist in over 10 years before starting care here. Super friendly staff, and they got me in order extremely quickly. They gave me printed copies of my care plan, and the dental work and prices were accurate every time. It’s just an excellent experience all around.

I just had my first visit to Dr Patel. I had cleaning and xrays an exam and a mold of my teeth for a mouth guard. I had not been to a dentist for 5 years and was nervous. I had a very pleasant experience. Everyone I encountered was very nice, some were even fun and could joke with me, which eased my nerves. I loved the massage chair and the TV which also helped to distract me. Dr Patel examined me and I found him very nice as well. The cleaning was a little painful but very thorough. I would recommend this dentist highly. I would recommend that you download the paperwork ahead of time and fill it out before you arrive to save time.

Great Experience! I had a chipped tooth that was beginning to hurt. They got me in same day, explained cost, billed insurance, and did most of the work on the same visit with no pain. Great Experience!

Wonderful staff and very clean, from the waiting room to the bathroom! Im new to the area and had to make myself and my two daughters an initial xray and cleaning appointment, I had to make them 30 minutes apart at 3:00, 3:30 and 4:00 so I was expecting to be there for a good 2 hours or more because of the time of day. They took us immediately after I was done with our paperwork and were able to take care of all three of us at the same time so we were out of there by 4:15. They didnt rush us through yet they were very thorough. One of my daughters is mentally disabled, she gets very nervous and asks the staff LOTS and LOTS of questions, before, during and after the entire visit! They were very patient, friendly and gentle with her. They answered ALL her questions and explained everything that was being done. I really appreciated that because throughout her 24 years we have moved many times and I have not been to too many dental offices that are mentally equipped to deal with special needs patients! They make sure you are comfortable, every room has a television and they even gave us the option to watch whatever we wanted instead of it being on just one boring station! I am definitely keeping them and will recommend them to everyone!

Friendly enough staff, dont care for the open floor plan. Reasonal price unless you need dentures or partials. Wait times are erratic, sometimes fast as could be and other times 2 hours for the same work.

Rude, long wait (over an hour), rude. esp in the back. The guy in the back rudely asked me to go to the waiting area while pushing me, that direction. Not to mention they took a massive amount of xrays. Defiantly getting all they can from insurance. Of course thats just my opinion.

I have had an amazing experience coming here! The staff is great and you can tell everyone enjoys what they do for a living! The scheduling of my appointment came very easy to them as they worked around my busy schedule. I came in for a cleaning and it was automatic when I walked in the door. I was seated in the dental chair within 2 minutes! Tonya the hygienist, was the most thourough hygienist that has ever cleaned my teeth! She definetly set the standard of what clean is!Thank you again!!! I will be returning for my next cleaning!

I had an appt. for 5 and they were able to see me over an hour earlier on little notice. I had another health issue and was already at doctors office when I called them about cancelling and they made it possible for me to get it done and I was home by 5 pm.They are friendly just like the name states. The work was performed efficiently and relatively pain free. They are the fastest dentist I have ever been to.

Ive had nothing but positive experiences with Friendly Dental of Rivergate. I came here initially because of the convenience of the location, and have been satisfied so far. The staff is friendly and they make the visit as pleasant as possible (i.e. allowing the patient to watch TV during the appointment). I will continue to use Friendly Dental for all of my dental needs in the future.

Myself and my two children had appointments yesterday, my son was crying from fear before we even entered the building. The staff was incredibly friendly, sensitive and patient. They were completely focused and dedicated to the three of us. I couldnt have been more please!

I would dread the dentist visit starting from approximately a month before my next visit, and every time I left the dentist I felt overjoyed to have it done for the next six months. I. Hated. It.I moved down to CLT about two years ago and have now had 4 visits to Friendly Dental. I love this place. I have finally moved on from my hatred for the dentist. This place is incredibly friendly (irony?!) and efficient at their jobs, while making the experience as painless as possible.Like I said, I dont ever review things. I havent had my teeth cleaned in a few years so I had to do X-rays and examANNND cleaning. Amanda was so informative and instructional about how to keep up with flossing and cleaning my retainer. And I always hated X-rays, they are always so incomfortable, but Lorri did the best job and made it fun with all her jokes. Dr Patel was so reserved, answers all my questions and knew exactly what to expect. I highly recommend their office. Best dental office ever! They deserve 10 stars!!!!

I am paralyzed with fear by going to the dentist. The staff were very patient and kind. I would recommend if you are afraid of the dentist, or just need a dentist in general.

Robin and Charles did an excellent job of cleaning and caring for my teeth.

In and out in about 30 minutes, including x-rays, cleaning and exam. Everyone was courteous, every room was clean. Dr. Patel is always a pleasure to see.

It was my first time there and I came for just a cleaning. I have had some bad dentists before and this place was great! The staff was cute and friendly. The dentist was thorough and polite. They didnt try to push any sale on me . They have all new equipment with tvs in every room for the patients. I would recommend this place to anyone.

This was probably my best dental experience ever. I went in for my first visit * I recently moved to the area*, a wisdom tooth extraction. The staff up front were kind and courteous. And the dental staff in the back made me feel very comfortable. * I do NoT like dental or hospital visits*. They were highly skilled and once I went numb * local anesthetic * the extraction took less than 2 -3 mins.

The dental staff are truly amazing. The ladies at the front really seem to dis like there jobs. There always rude and will cancel your appointment in error but without any apology.

I had a large filling fall out over the weekend, I called Friendly Dental Monday morning to set up an appointment. They were able to get me in the same day and fixed up my tooth, once again I had a great experience with their friendly and professional sevice. I highly recomend them for dental service!

My 5 yr old son and I just finished our 6 month check ups. Once again, we are extremely pleased with the staff and the total experience. We were taken back at the appt time and out before we knew it. I didnt get to finish my HGTV show :-). They are extremely professional and friendly!

The VERY best and heres why: 1) they are open till 6 so I dont have to miss a chunk of my workday, 2) no waiting game, they see you at your appointment time, 3) Dr. Patel doesnt try to oversell you on what you need done to empty your pockets - he is honest and does good work, 4) the staff is actually really nice, not fake nice, 5) they work with a lot of insurance companies, including mine - Aetna, 6) the prices are fair and reasonable, 7) each room has its own tv where I can pick what I want to watch, 8) the chairs can be turned on for heat and/or massage.

These people are AWFUL. Complete scam artists. They quoted me one price of $850 for a root canal and temporary crown. The root canal took them two visits of over three hours each to complete. And now, they have been hounding me to pay them an extra $300 (which they NEVER informed me of previously) for the temporary crown.

I ended up at a new dentist on saturday with bad tooth pain. I knew the teeth needed to be pulled, but on this visit I only expected to be examined and sent on my way with pain meds and an appointment for extractions. I didnt expect them to do it on Saturday. Because IT WAS A SATURDAY and I was new to that dentist. They saw the problem and how much it was bothering me and promptly took care of the issue. I promise you, Im not a fan of dental work, but the work that was done was done very well.

Dr. Patel is only interested in the money. I called as a new patient and told the receptionist that I could not have panorex xrays due to lung cancer. I was asured after having her check with the doctor that it would not be necessary. I took time off work, came into the office only to be told that they would not clean my teeth or look at my mouth without a panorex xray(whole mouth). Do not believe what they tell you on the phone. I ended up walking out without treatment, a total waste of my time. He obviously is not truly interested in his patients best interests.

It was my first vist to this Dentist. The staff is very friendly. However, my wait was very long. My appt was at 3pm. I was seen by the Dentist first and his exam was pretty quick. Then I waited to see the hygenist for over 45minutes. They do have a tv which did occupy me until I was seen, but I only plan to be at an appt for 45min - 1 hour at the most. I was at this dentist for 1 1/2 hours. Overall it was a good experience and I will return, but my advice is to plan on a longer wait than you might be used to.

But i also want to talk about the other location of friendly dental group located at 8170 south tryon street,charlotte,nc i have seen worst dental office in my life.1st of all they dont know what they are doing.even you can not understand what they are saying.too noisy location and these noise coming from front desk staff talking each other very loudly.they can only take x ray beside that they can not do any thing.once they take x ray you have to wait for 2 hrs and they will come to you and will tell you to see another doctor.i made an appointment because i was in pain so i called them and make an appointment for tooth extract even i asked them can you do this process they said yes we can and even they also gave me charges. i suggest do not go to this location
