Web site says they are open at 9am on Monday’s. Sign in the door says they are open at 9 on Mondays. Google says they are open at 9 on Mondays. Guess what, not open at 9am on Mondays. Phone number still has the pre-Covid hours from 18 months ago. Come on Man!

Ive been a customer at City Barbers for a number of years. The shop has a classic feel and the ambiance is always positive. In my opinion there is no other barber shop in town that delivers on the consistency and value that City Barbers does. Ive gotten cuts from just about every barber they have - they are all good people and know what they are doing. Go see Dustin - hes the man and is my go to. They stay busy - so be sure to go during a nontraditional time or call ahead to get an appointment.

I’ve been coming here about a year and each time I come in, the staff are welcoming, and each of the barbers are quite skilled. I really enjoy talking with them and my fiancée likes my hair afterwards, and so do I! I’ll be coming back for the foreseeable future.It’s a fast pace shop, but great for a men’s cut. I typically do a walk in, but you can call to schedule an appointment.

Great service at a great price! I am happy to say that I have had LeeAnne as a barber since I moved to Charlotte 2.5 years ago and have never gone anywhere else! She is extremely professional, fun to talk to, and of course is a stellar stylist! City Barbers is at a very convenient location in the heart of uptown. Its very easy to walk into and see a barber (incl. LeeAnne) without much of a wait. You can find relatively cheap parking lots in the area - I use the discovery center parking lot as first hour is free.

Visiting from out of town needed a quick cut. Recommend by a few people at the hotel. This place is amazing. It’s on the 2nd floor kinda tuck away, but look for the barber shop pole lol. Went during lunch and the wait was about 5-10 minutes, you can schedule a appointment ahead of time or walk in. There is no sign in or anything just sit and wait, remember who is there before you and after you. They have four barber chairs 3 were being used when I got there. Couple of TVs to watch the game or whatever you want they are relax about it. Environment was amazing really laid back like the old school barber shop. I had Rob and he did a amazing job. He and the other staff members were quick, professional and upfront. They take cash or card, offer free water, price is very reasonable. Place is very clean and upkeep is well. I will definitely return when I’m in town again. Keep up the great work!

Great place. Ive been going for over a year and had 4-5 different people cut my hair. Ive had a great haircut everytime. Kim M. & John C. are who Ive seen the most and theyve never dissappointed. Ive never had to wait too long even during busy times of the day.

City Barbers is a class act. Ive been getting my hair cut there since they opened. Unfortunately I live out of town and only get my hair cut there when visiting or passing through Charlotte. Was just in town and stopped in, it made me realize how unsatisfied I am with my local barbershops.

This is a great place for a haircut. I dropped in for a cut while out in Charlotte for a wedding. The guys let me drop in despite my showing up shortly before closing time. Cut my hair exactly like I like it and had me out super quickly.Had I more time, I definitely would have sprung for the shave as well.

I had went here because It close by and every review was saying decent. I tried them out and its funny how I ended up explaining a temp fade to my barber. He didnt get it right nor my edge up, but great people dont get me wrong but not enough cultural experience. It was a first time going to a different barber Im not upset but made a great story to tell. This was about a week ago btw.

City barbers is my go to barber shop in Charlotte. Amanda has been taking care of me for a few years now, if she’s not there it’s still my spot. It’s convenient, clean, welcoming and the prices are fair.

Tired of paying for a subscription to a place to get your haircut in uptown just for a free drink and semi good looking gals who really cant cut hair worth a damn? Yeah.. me too. Bring back the old school tradition of a real haircut with these guys. Plenty of TVs, great conversation, and a freaking amazing taper fade all for $25. Here are a few things you should know:- Bring cash for the tip. They dont allow putting it on the card.- You can use a card for the haircut though- This place is right behind Caribou coffee on the second floor of founders hall.- Only a couple of the guys take appointments. Otherwise, its a waiting game for first available barber.- I use Jamie who does take appointments.

Great old school barber shop where they finish off the cut with a straight razor shave for your neckline. If you want a good haircut with a little sports talk or local knowledge this is the place.

I travel about 300 days a year and its very hard to find a good barber, let alone great barber. Well, Charlotte I believe that I found one right here. Ross the owner is by far one of the best barbers that Ive gone to while traveling. If I lived closer this would be my one and only shop! Hands down. Awesome environment. Classy joint. This place is highly overrated. Ive been now twice, and both times dissatisfied. As a newcomer, you are treated differently, the atmosphere is not a good vibe. You pay $25 for a 15 min haircut, which is rushed and not to the way you asked. I truly dont recommend this place. Mind you I never write reviews on Google, this is how unsatisfied I was.

I have gone here several times and the barbers are all great except for Russ. Russ has cut my hair twice now and each time I’ve had to go elsewhere to get it fixed. The trim is always uneven as he does not pay attention to detail. He is always on his phone texting during haircuts. He then rushes through the cut and is completely careless. This is not something you would expect from the owner of the business. Wouldn’t recommend going here unless you make an apt with one of the other barbers.**response to owner**I respect that we all have stuff going on. I’d like to point out that the one time you were on your phone discussing the city finding out about the shed you built and you were going back and forth in texting someone about it and reading the texts to your employees. So I don’t buy that this is something out of the norm for you.

Received a fade. Noticed parts of my head that were unevenly shaved relative to the rest of my head. Hair near temple slightly longer than hair above ear etc... Staff was friendly though but I wish they caught it before I did in my bathroom at home.

No frills, quality service and product, and a hot foam straight blade neck shave to top it off. I go out of my way to come here and I dont even work uptown...Two VERY small negatives- the first negative is from my experience is they get very busy after 5pm and schedule the #3 barber to leave at 6pm. Seems like they should have one less in the morning, not at night. Second, you cannot tip on your credit card due to their software limitation. So, I always have to go get cash from the ATM, then break it at Walgreens and if you forget - you have 10-15 minutes of walking around ahead of you to tip them.

Being new to uptown, it was a short walk from home, a short wait and friendly service. Surprisingly, hadnt been to a barber since I was a little boy. Pleased with my cut, price and experience.... Ill be back.

I am new to uptown, so finding this place was not easy (it is inside BOA building). I am quite pleased with experience as well as haircut. Definitely will be back. They seem to get a lot of customers on Saturdays, so I had to wait about 20 min, but it was worth it.

Super nice guys giving quality cuts. Next time Ill ask the barber with the black haired beard what he does to keep his beard so tight and looking so good.

Good place, but be careful coming in on Saturdays. Sometime they do not open at 10:00 am and other times they are not open at all even though you called and confirmed on Friday.

One of the worst customer serice based places I have ever seen... Facebook page says they are open till 7:30... Door says 7 I showed up at 634 the door was closed and locked ... Waited for 15 minutes then man opens the door and says we are closed after he watched me wait out side... I told him the sign said 7 and he said we close at 640 .. Told him he lost a customer his response not to worry we have a lot more I would not want my employees to act like this
