I couldn’t be more impressed with this shop. I recently moved into the Charlotte area and have been looking for a good barber and a great price. They do take walk ins, but prefer appointments because of how busy they are. That being said there is definitely a reason they are busy, they cut great hair! Andre hooked me up and is very professional. The shop has a great atmosphere and they’re very welcoming to newcomers. Anyone moving into the university area looking for a new barber definitely check this place out. Will be going back for sure!

I like Azeal Barber Shop. I prove it by driving 30 miles to get there! Efrem is my personal preference, recommended by my son. He does a great job in getting my cut exactly the way I like, at an affordable price. All of the barbers there are friendly, kind, courteous, and professional. Clean and safe environment.

Was told walk ins were welcome. Waited 1.5 hours and never got called. I understand it’s a mostly appointment run business, but if you can’t take a walk in, say so. Don’t waste my time to get another client. Won’t be back.

The owner of the barbershop, Andre Williams, is very unprofessional. He will make you wait on him while he cuts someone elses hair, then if you are running late, hell threaten not to cut your hair again in the future. Very unprofessional. Most barbers will work their clients in and not attempt to embarrass or never serve them again.

My sons’ both get their hair cut here, and I Must say the owner of this shop has a heart of gold!!! I’m a single mother and he is always patient and understanding. The cuts are pretty much always on point!! Thank you All!!!!

Jess was my barber... she was professional, relatable, kind, attentive, and overall good company with great conversation. I had a wonderful experience at Azeals due to her ability to listen to what I wanted and the execution was impeccable. I will now be scheduling appointments with her directly. She is extremely versatile being able to cut, style and dread (both men and women) amongst her other skills. Jess was very knowledgeable even down to the science of how and what will effect my hair and its health, recommending products and so forth. I fully guarentee she will not disappoint and recommend her with the higest regard and cant wait to go back. Azeals is the spot if you want to look you best and feel your best...5 stars!!!!

The owner of the shop allowed a disgruntled customer to threaten one of his employees, and did NOTHING about it. Then they all proceeded to tell me even though there were 3 Barbers, they would not be anymore hair cuts for the day. It was 1pm. I would. NEVER go there again!!!

Mediocre cuts at a premium price with a side of attitude

So I dont typically go here, but do to covid-19 I felt like Robin Williams in Jumunji and my usual place hasnt opened back up. These guys are awesome, would recommend all the way.

A bit pricey for a full cut. Paid 25 for head, mustache and beard. But the quality was pretty good so meh. You get what you pay for even though Im full aware there are cheaper barbers elsewhere who can provide the same quality.

When in Charlotte looking for a good cut this is the place. Wholesome environment for kids and women coupled with great staff service. Check it out!!

I brought my son to get his hair cut there for the first time today and have to say I was really impressed which is not easily done!! It was clean and sanitary, they were friendly, they had enough barbers working to accommodate the demand so there was little to no wait and his cut came out perfect. I had to run next store to the salon and his barber went above and beyond to walk him over to me when he was finished . I would recommend this place without a doubt!

I went here because I saw that they were so highly rated and decided to try a cut here. The guy did an alright job.There are uneven spots around the temples and uneven at hairline. I can kind of deal with that.But I give them 1 star because the service was terrible. The guy dragged the clipper cord across my face, jabbed me with the clippers multiple times, had the fan blowing in my face with hair all over, jabbed me in the eye with the duster, and was yelling in my ear the whole time to another customer.I can live with the okay haircut, but the lack of respect and communication is what makes this experience and this service terrible.DO NOT get a cut from Andre

AJ is fantastic- professional, courteous, and highly skilled. He has cut our three sons’ hair for over 7 years and has always done a wonderful job! He always listens to our sons’ style preferences and is willing to guide them if necessary. We are so glad he is their barber!

Eddie is my barber he does a great job its nice and clean inside the other barbers are very respectful.

AJ is the master of the fade, 10/10 every time. He is also the master of translating my vague haircut requests into a beautiful reality. I can vouch for AJ, and if he is busy he can vouch for one of the many other excellent and funny barbers.

Update:My youngest is now 5 years old and Javaris is still his barber! He is fantastic! We moved out of the area and still take my son to him. No Wait! In & Out crisp clean haircuts!

I’ve been here twice and they usually do a great job and I usually tip nicely since they do great but this last time I went and I sat there waiting for an hour and forty five minutes before I left because they kept calling people up that were only waiting 10-15 mins. I will never go back there, and I wasn’t the only one to walk out.

I have two words to describe this business GHETTO FABULOUS!! The owner is extremely unprofessional. He eats while he cuts hair dropping crumbs in your scalp. This place was okay at first then one of the barbers got upset because I️ gave the shop a 1 star. He said I️ was affecting his image and customers . I️ said dude I️ did not mention anyone’s name. He kept ranting on and on like a female. He even threatened me. I’m giving it a one star because of the atmosphere and the way they talk about certain customers. The cutting is off as well.

Appointments are kept. Staff is always friendly and welcoming.
