Everyone was super nice and friendly. Dr. Coco is really sharp and so loving with her new patient who was a wiggly puppy. The surroundings were most pleasant. I was seen right away and written follow up info was helpful. I felt at ease the entire time. Dr.Coco is fantastic, thorough snd smart The techs were so helpful. I will recommend you to all my friends.

We have been bringing our dogs to Dr. K and her team for years and couldnt be happier. They get us in usually on the same day if there is an emergency and are great following up to make sure our pets are responding well to their treatment. They are caring, professional and provide a great value while being on-time with the appointments.

Talk about amazing! I am a first-time dog mom to a puppy, and I brought him to Charleston Harbor Veterinarians (CHV) for vaccinations and a physical/check-up. Dr. Coco was the absolute sweetest and conducted a thorough exam of my little guy. She answered all of my questions in a concise and understandable way. The technicians were also super sweet and nice and also answered my questions! They got my puppy all taken care of with the required medications and vaccines to help prevent future illnesses. The place is clean and modern and everyone is so knowledgeable and nice! 10/10 recommend!

As a new dog parent, finding a vet is a little intimidating! We heard high praises for CHV from friends we trust and we knew that’s where we would go.From the first day bringing our puppy in for a wellness check, they have taken great care of her. Our pup had some health challenges in the beginning (seizures and ring worm) and the team at CHV were attentive and detailed about her treatment and always explained every thing clearly.Everyone there knows my dog and her history and is so kind, gentle and calm when administering shots or drawing blood. I have total trust in CHV.

This is the most amazing veterinary office I have ever been to. Dr. McCaskill and Kahuda and all of other staff are the most caring and genuine people. When I had to put my baby down back in December, Erin and Dr. McCaskill were so comforting and brought peace into a really hard time. My other dog is now currently sick and they are treating him as if he is their own! The entire staff cares so deeply and takes as much time as necessary to listen and help. After moving here from out of state and having an elderly dog, I was nervous about finding and building the trust and relationship I had come to expect from my previous vet. As a dog owner of 25 years I value my veterinarian and after many years and many vets, hands-down Dr Kahuda and her staff are the best! The office itself is warm and inviting. Exam rooms don’t have the standard stainless steel exam table, instead Dr Kahuda gets down on the floor and sits with your pet for a stress-free exam. What really sets this office apart though is the heartfelt interest they take in your pet. I always get a follow up call or text a few days after each visit checking in to make sure things are OK; and on urgent occasions they’ve gone above and beyond to accommodate me. I could go on and on but just trust me and go see for yourself – you will not be disappointed!

This was the first vet I ever took my dog to, and I did not know how good we had it! Since moving away from Charleston I have realized how amazing Charleston Harbor Vets are. They truly care and made my anxious dog feel so comfortable and safe. I haven’t been able to find another vet that does that, or treats her like she’s more than “just another appointment.” Every practice should strive to be more like Charleston Harbor Vets. I highly recommend trusting them with your fur babies.

This place is an absolute joke. If youre coming here to get simple vaccinations for your puppy, that is fine. Otherwise stay as far away from this place as possible. They will run you around in circles and leave you with bill after bill before they can figure out and diagnose your puppys issue. I love my dogs as much as any other good owner and I will pay for good quality service, but this place isnt it. The staff is friendly as can be, but being friendly isnt going to make my dog feel any better. Figure it out.

Charleston Harbor is the best!On more than one occasion I have taken in a stray kitten found on the street, and with Harbor vets being the closest clinic to where I live, I would call them to see if they could help me find out if the kitten had an owner. The staff is always so welcoming and friendly. You can tell they really put animals first.I was so impressed that I transferred my dog from his former vet over to Charleston Harbor vets and I am so happy I did! Their online portal makes it so easy to order his medication, and I still get the same top notch service every time.

CHV is the best! Dr. Kahuda and all her staff are so personable and genuinely care about your pets. They always call or text the day following an appointment to follow up and make sure your pets are doing well. There is nowhere better to take your pets in the Charleston area!

This place is absolutely amazing! Ive had my rescue, Mr. Beefy, for almost a year now, and my previous vet experience has been terrible. Mr. Beefy hates to have his paws and ears touched, and he requires sedation prior to the vet visit due to his anxiety. My prior vet refused to draw labs on him due to his anxiety and inability to sit still. I told Charleston Harbor this prior to the visit, and they were incredibly accommodating. The vet tech and doc gave him lots of treats and belly rubs to get him through the exam and lab work. They were so gentle and caring with him to the point that he was actually happy and calm post visit. He didnt even want to leave the office! Take your pets to Charleston Harbor!!

I feel the need to write a review after Dr. Kahuda took time out of her day, which Im sure is busy, to call me on my request to ask her some questions about my medically complicated dog. Dr. Kahuda is truly a great vet who really cares about her patients and their humans. Her staff is always so helpful and friendly. It is hard to find a vet who will take the time to really hear your concerns and give you their honest response. I am glad that weve found that here!

I recently got a puppy a few months ago, and wasnt sure which vet to take my new pup to. I came across CHV, and I am so happy I did because they are truly the best. Not only are all the staff very kind and professional, but they genuinely care about your dog. I also love how you can communicate with them via txt not just by phone call only. Whenever I happen to take my pup to the vet, I always get a text asking how my dog is feeling/doing etc. Your dog will be in the best hands with CHV! I recommend them to all my friends!

We had a great experience here, even though it was time for puppy shots. All staff members are extremely friendly and each of them took the time to get to know the Indy. They throughly explain what his needs would be and how we could better care for such a little dog! Great people, great place, I will be telling everyone to take your pets here!

I cannot say enough about CHV. In the midst of the pandemic, our primary vet had to close for a week. Our 3 year old golden, Rhodie, decided that would be the perfect time to consume 3/4 of a trucker hat (yum). The emergency vet told us best case $3,000, most likely $8,000-$12,000. We sat in their parking lot desperately calling, begging someone to listen. Vets dont take new pets for emergencies and our vet was closed. Losing hope as vet after vet turned us away, the thought of making the unthinkable choice started to wash over me. Then, we reached a tech at CHV. Rather than dismiss us offhand, apologize and say theres northing we can do, or in some cases not answer the phone at all, CHV put me on hold and actually let me speak with a Vet! Dr. McCaskill heard our plea and immediately put us at ease. We were able to have his scans emailed over and they made room to see him that same day. CHV was his temporary home for a few days and despite having a blockage, Rhodie was so happy each time we pulled into the parking lot to drop him off. It wasnt long before he was on a first name basis with all the techs and vets in the parking lot (covid waiting room) since they were following CDC protocols. They took the best care of our boy and we are eternally grateful. Wasnt long before he was right back to his normal antics. Thank you CHV!!!

I’ve taken my pups to many different vets over the years and could never find one I liked until coming to Charleston Harbor Vet! At other vet clinics, I would be surprised with fees at the end of the visit. Tests would be performed without asking, and that never set well with me. After our first visit with CHV, I knew they were great for my pups! Highly recommend Dr. Kahuda and her clinic!!

As someone whose dog has anxiety about going to the vet and can be reactive towards other dogs, I truly appreciate all the efforts they put into making our visits simple and stress-free. I could not ask for better care or service. All of the staff are incredibly friendly and caring. The accommodate my work schedule which is a real life saver. All of my questions are answered thoroughly and quickly. I am extremely impressed at every turn.

This is the best vet clinic I’ve had the privilege of working with, and that’s not something I say lightly. As a K9 handler, I’ve worked with a variety of clinics in other cities and even around Charleston, and none have compared. The entire staff is so knowledgeable and I’ve yet to meet an unfriendly face. They’re truly fear-free and are set up to be as accommodating as possible. I have one working dog who usually needs to be muzzled, but they’ve been the first team to actually treat him without jumping right to muzzling. I’m consistently impressed with the level of care CHV provides. Perhaps best of all, their pricing is beyond reasonable.

I have been taking my french bulldog to CHV for three years now and they have been incredible! The staff is extremely friendly, considerate, and knowledgeable. They want to get to know you and your animal and keep up with it all. They are considerate with needs and cost, they always ask if it’s alright to take tests/procedures and let you know the cost ahead of time. Additionally the facility is clean and welcoming! The absolute BEST vet I have ever been too! Do not even both researching anywhere else. I have a very difficult dog who was TERRIFIED of his first visit. All of the staff was extremely patient, caring, and helpful throughout the entire process. My dog ended up being full sedated, and we were there for a total of 3 hours. It was a very difficult process for all involved, and the entire staff was so amazing during it. On our second visit, Dr. Kahuda did everything she could to make it as smooth as possible. She allowed us to do the appointment outside, where my dog was much less stressed. She never once shied away from the challenges he put forward, and she didnt seem phased at all! I cannot say enough about how much I appreciate this entire staff!

Dr. Blackwood always goes above and beyond for my dog! She was there for us every step of the way when he got very sick. I genuinely feel like the entire team cares so much about him which is incredibly comforting and assuring. Had an unbelievable experience there today, the vet and vet tech made me and my sick puppy very comfortable. I left there knowing Luna was in good hands. I tell absolutely everyone to go to this place because the service is incredible.

I really wish I had the same positive experience as everyone else. Although the practice was nice and the people were friendly, the small amount of diagnostics done to figure out my cats problem caused an incorrect diagnosis and he got worse before improving with a second opinion and correct medicine. When I originally brought up that he wasnt improving to the vet office, they were quick to refer me to a specialist which wasnt needed. I also never received the summary of my visit despite being told I would receive by e-mail. Disappointed because money is tight and having to see another vet for a simple issue was disheartening.

Cant say enough good things about this place. Dr K. rocks and the entire staff are friendly and professional. We are new to the area and love this place. We took our little love bug in for an persistent on-going issue. Dr K. is being so thoughtful about how to treat her and finally get this issue resolved. She analyzed previous vet visits, took into consideration that due to her age she is sensitive to treatments, consulted with other specialist when needed, etc, etc, etc - She has done it all! It has been way too long that we have had an intelligent, caring veterinarian!!! Bring your little one here and you will think the same!

We have taken our Emma here for the past 2 years. She gets so anxious around strangers and when receiving veterinary care, but Dr. Kahuda and her team are gentle with her and are able to keep her happy and calm. I can’t recommend Charleston Harbor Vets enough - they always keep the animal in the room with you when they’re doing minor procedures, and they have windows so that you can see in the back, if they do have to use the equipment there. They also let you and your animal wait in an individual patient room instead of in the waiting room, which is great for my dog who is reactive to other animals.

This is the best experience I have had with a Vet thus far, since having my dog Chichi. Dr. Kahuda and staff were absolutely wonderful. I felt very comfortable, and welcomed. I had an extensive dental procedure for my dog that I was worried about. The staff kept me up to date on what was going on and how he was doing. There is zero pressure when walking in the door, and very fair pricing! I will be taking Chichi here from now on, as well as recommending to friends! Overall- Great!

What an amazing experience! We are visiting the area for a few months and needed to have one of our dogs looked at for an on-going issue. I have to say, this was the nicest vet office that we have ever visited. A beautiful, clean environment that is designed to make both humans and animals comfortable. The staff was excellent as well and did everything to make our very nervous dog comfortable, they even offered her a little peanut butter to get her to come to them at first. Dr. Kahuda and her staff have gone above and beyond to help us determine what is going on and to fix it. We are very happy and will continue to use them throughout our stay in the area.

We recently moved to Charleston and needed a Veterinary service ASAP as we were going on a trip. We called one Vet service, but they could not get us in until the end of the week. Charleston Harbor Veterinary was called after finding the business on line. Their website states and explains their services and philosophy with animals and owners. We really enjoyed Kristina’s personable mannerisms with our cat and dog and explaining to us their treatment now and in the future. All the staff are very pleasant. We are so pleased to have found them and highly recommend.

I have always said that people only leave a review after a bad experience, so I’m trying to be better about leaving reviews of places I love! When I first got my dog, I researched vets in the area and was really impressed with CHV’s reviews. From my very first visit, I knew I would never go anywhere else. Everyone is so nice and genuinely care about you and your pet’s wellbeing. Dr. Kahuda and all of the staff make you feel comfortable and cared for. I have never left feeling upset, indifferent, or unsure of anything. My dog has always received thoughtful, honest care. Sadly, I am moving out of the state and the thing I’m most worried about is trying to find a new vet’s office that will even compare to CHV.

Seriously, the best vet clinic anywhere. The care from the veterinarians and the staff is top notch. Its clear they love their job, and most importantly, love the animals they treat. My dog has received excellent care, while I received very thorough discharge instructions for my sick pup, and at an incredibly reasonable cost. The clinic is very comfortable and you feel like youre at home instead of in some sterile, cold building. Cant say enough good things about Dr. Blackwood and the rest of the team.

I never thought Id love a vet clinic.They made it feel like a home with the furnishings and rooms which was very comforting to my dog, Braxton. It was also very clean and smelled like a home - impressive for a vet clinic.On top of that, the waiting rooms have Dutch doors which they leave the top part open so that dogs arent left in a closed off room.In fact, its the most open clinic Ive been to which even comforted me taking my pup in.They really thought the place out to make it comforting to you and your dog.Most importantly, the staff is INCREDIBLE. Cant stress enough how welcomed, loved, and invited me and my dog felt.Dr. Kahuda was very helpful and urgent. She took extra time to know my dog and never forgot to give him some extra love - he couldnt get enough of the attention. She went above and beyond in explaining issues to me so I knew exactly what was going on with Braxton.I couldnt imagine going to another clinic after my experience here. In fact, I decided to switch from my previous vet who Id gone to for 5 years.Not from an issue, just blown away from this experience at Charleston Harbor Vets.Hope this review is helpful for whoever is reading.

We live and travel aboard our boat from Canada to the Caribbean with two Portuguese Water Dogs. We discovered Dr. Kahuda during a stop in Charleston, and found the BEST Veterinarian. Our girls have seen vets in several states and the Bahamas during our travels, and not one comes close to Dr. Kahuda’s knowledge or compassion. The office is pleasant and the staff is friendly and attentive. We would go out of our way to have Dr. Kahuda and her staff care for our girls.

Called looking for a complete workup for my 20 lb dog and happen to hear really positive comments about this clinic. I have never had particularly fond experiences of a vets office until I went to Charleston Harbor. All of the techs and doctors, especially Tara and Dr. Kahuda respectively are so sweet, professional, and knowledgable. I am a first time pet owner and they gave me all I needed to be successful. My puppy also took a liking to them and the environment which will make future visits so much easier for all involved. Also, they are very reasonably priced for a vet, which has always been a concern for me while I considered getting a dog. If youre in need of a good quality, inexpensive vet, look no further.

Weve known Dr. Kahuda for quite a long time and her care of our two dogs (one very young and the other very old) has been exceptional. She has always been honest, thorough, and an out-of-the box thinker who could successfully marry the health and well-being of our dogs with a balanced, thoughtful, and practical approach. We recently had to relocate to another town and thus the arduous task of searching for a new vet began. Even through that transition, Dr. Kahuda was there to guide us and support the health of Phoebe and Finn. She counseled us through issues and guided us in knowing the right questions to ask to successfully land in a new practice where we feel comfortable. After having lived many places and seen many vets, we can say shes second to none and are most humbly grateful for her caring and compassionate care that reached far beyond the doors of her practice.

My Puppers Harlee ate something while being watched by a friend and we thought it may have been a battery. They took X-rays and he was clear of any foreign objects. The entire team at CHV is very professional, helpful, and kind. I couldnt have chosen a better place to bring my puppy Kali. They identified what was bothering her right away, and also helped me change the tire I accidentally blew on the way there. Also, Kali had gotten car sick, and they even helped clean her carrier. There’s really no better place in Charleston if you want your pets to receive the best care. CHV has been seeing my cats for nearly two years. Dr. Kahuda is extremely friendly and makes you feel like you’ve known her forever. She has provided top notch care for my older cat and my very sick kitten. The facility is extremely comfortable, clean, and well equipped; it’s half living room, half futuristic hospital - I’ve never seen anything like it. No waiting, just prompt and perfect service. She also has a network of specialists she can refer you to for specialty work, and the prices are fair. I can’t find a single fault in their care, facility, and their friendly and technologically- savvy staff!

We love our new vet! We are new to the area and needed an on-point, personable and reasonable veterinarian for our aussiedoodles, Pickles and Pennly. We were sad to leave our previous veterinarians when we moved. Their team went above and beyond caring for our pets, and we hoped to find the same. And we did! Not only is the office staff extremely friendly and capable (even offering for our daughter to look under the microscope when she was curious about our puppys test), but Dr. Kahuda was incredibly engaging, thoughtful and skilled. She emailed later with additional research she did (on her own time) in order to help our pup. The office atmosphere is casual and comfortable, and all they do is designed to make your pet feel more at ease. Even the exam tables fold up to look like doors, an object every pet is familiar with. Their prices are very reasonable, and, after initial exam, subsequent vaccinations can be done by the technicians and avoid the office visit charge. Finding a new veterinarian is similar to finding your child a new pediatrician- and we cant be more pleased!

The team at CHV go above and beyond for my dog’s health and well being. Both Dr. Kahuda, Dr. Blackwood, and every tech we have had the pleasure of meeting have been so friendly and warm towards myself and bear, even though bear has always been a little hesitant at the vets office. They seem to really take time to consider what is going on with Bear whether it is an annual check up or a sick visit. I have been to a few other vets in this area, but have yet to find the vets and techs with the bedside manner found here at CHV.

Cant express how amazing this vet clinic is! I recently made the switch to CHV and Im so glad I did. Im a first time dog owner and havent had fond experiences with other local vet clinics but CHV and the wonderful staff have completely changed that. My dog has seen Dr. Blackwood and Dr. Kahuda and both were so patient, knowledgeable and professional every time Ive been in. This past weekend, Dr. Kahuda went above and beyond and met me outside of office hours (on a Saturday) to see my dog after I called in worried about some abnormalities I noticed. Needless to say - Im so grateful to have found a vet clinic that truly cares about their clients and their pets. I wont go anywhere else!

Highly recommend! The location is perfect for downtown residents, the building is warm, inviting, and comfortable for both animals and humans, and it is affordable. Staff is very responsive to both email and phone calls. They answered all questions I had before the scheduled meet and greet for Scout. Dr. Kahuda and Jordan are wonderful. They let Scout set the tone for the meet and greet and Dr. Kahuda asked all the right questions. They were able to schedule Scouts yearly exam later that same week. Scout can be a bit of an odd pup, and they embraced her quirky personality. I also took my 6 month old kitten, Jem, for his follow-up appointment after adopting him. They are equally as great with cats as they are with dogs. They even worked my sisters dog into the same appointment. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this practice and the staff. If you arent 110% satisfied with the care your pets are receiving from their current vet, schedule an appointment at Charleston Harbor Veterinarians.

I followed Dr. Kahuda from her previous practice and have been going to CHV since they opened. I have 5 dogs and Dr. Kahuda has been seeing them for years. She is extremely patient and kind and truly cares about the animals she sees. The office itself is beautiful and right off of the cross town. It is a very clean, relaxed atmosphere and the pic below shows how great my pugs do when there. I have had such great experiences that the coordinator for Mid Atlantic Pug Rescue decided to switch to CHV for our foster pugs and she is thrilled with their service. I wont take my dogs anywhere else.

Simply. Amazing. That describes our first experience with CHV! Took our 11 y/o vet-hating German Shorthaired Pointer here this week. From appointment set-up to checkout, our experience was terrific. The people, place, and care provided were far and away better than any other vet weve ever used, and weve used several. Its clear that keeping patients and their parents cool and at ease from the second they enter is their guiding mission. With that calm and peace of mind, the care and very open and clear 2-way communication came easy, and was very, very thorough. We found our beloved GSPs new doc!

Dr. Kahuda and Charleston Harbor Vets offer an amazing service to the Charleston area. The office is brand new and state of the art. The staff is friendly and informative. Dr. Kahuda is incredibly intelligent and genuinely cares about her furry patients. Whether I bring my dog in for a routine check-up, or a specific issue, she always personally follows up to make sure that my pet is doing well and to see if we have any other needs. As a medical professional, I can appreciate the time and effort she puts into her practice. I would recommend Dr. Kahuda and Charleston Harbor Veterinarians to anyone in need of a veterinarian.

Lovely environment,nice service, and acceptable price.I just got my golden retriever and looking for a Vet clinic for a while. I took my dog to Banfield for his first check, however I do not like their service and environment at all. Then I visited several clinics by myself and searched online. Finally I found the Charleston Harbor Veterinarian, I took my puppy there for his vaccines today and I am super satisfied! The doctor and nurse are very friendly, knowledge, and helpful. I love them!!!By the way, even though they are located in the fancy downtown, their price cheaper than the Banfield(petsmart)!!

I cannot say enough great things about the staff at Charleston Harbor Veterinarians. Each and every time I bring my dogs into see them they are attentive and take all the time they need with you and your pet.During a good, regular visit they are great, but I learned during an unexpected not good visit they are even better.I have had 2 not so pleasant experiences in the past 2 months with my aging dogs, the most recent of which resulted in us losing one of your dogs. This unfortunate incident took place at the office while we were there for our male dog. Our female dog started acting like she didnt feel well (she was there to support her brother). Immediately Dr. Blackwood, Dr. Kahuda and Jesse took action. This was an emergency and they kept calm, kept me calm and were so very kind and professional. I have no idea how I would have handled the situation if we had been at home when it happened. They cared for her and for us during the situation, checked on us after and have been in touch since. I would not trust my fur babies to any other vet.

I am a little late posting a review, but I have so many positive things to say about Charleston Harbor Vets. They are THE best vet to go to in Charleston, just do a meet and greet and you will be sold on them. They have such a lovely office that is as far from a stereotypical vets office as they come. My dog Evie loved the staff and the treats! They are very upfront with cost and all the options to give you some choices as to what is best for you, your pet, and your money. Both Dr. Kahuda and Dr. Blackwood are knowledgeable and so so friendly. CHV is also extremely affordable, especially for being downtown (and as a college student). It was very assuring to know that Evie could receive the best care at an affordable cost. Lastly, if you happen to have the unfortunate experience of having major surgery for your pet, rest assured at CHV. They will work with you and try their hardest to make the price tag less painful (get your pets insured!!!!) and are upfront if they can perform the surgery comfortably or if you need the skills of a pet surgeon. When it came time for me to move to Chicago, Dr. Kahuda helped me find a vet that she deemed great and even contacted them to see of there were any additional vaccines Evie may have needed. I wish I could have brought them with me! Simply put, best vet in Charleston hands down because they give the best care and are upfront with everything.

I had a baby a year ago and was looking for a new vet for my dog for his annual because I could no longer wait hours at the walk in vet I was going to for around 10 years. I pretty much called every vet in Charleston and read review after review. Charleston Harbor Vet had all five star reviews and everytime I called the person answering the phone was polite and never tried to rush me off the phone with all the questions I had. I decided to go with Charleston Harbor and am so happy I did. The place was easy to find and has its own parking lot which is amazing if you know how parking Downtown is. So baby in one hand and 80lb dog in the other we walked up the ramp (yes wheelchair accessible for people who need it). As we opened the door it looked like someones house. There is a spa type atmosphere just zen all around. Young lady who checked us in was actually our vet tech who was so attentive and kind to all three of us. There was no odor at all when we walked in nor was there any odor in our room. Our room was super clean in fact the tech put down a fresh clean soft mat for my dog. The room had a nice large window and the door was made so that the bottom half could close and the top half could stay open. You could see what they were doing in the lab because it is all glass. Just a well thought through beautifully designed and decorated place. My dog loved our vet tech and vet. Dr. Kahuda was very nice to me and most importantly my dog. She was very thorough and did not rush us along. She answered every question that I had. There was no mass chaos at all. We never came in contact with another animal. We saw a cat on our way in being held by their owner going to a room. They are definitely experienced in their time management and scheduling as well. The vet tech checked me out im our room so there was no shuffling past other animals or people and she helped me to my car because she could see I had the baby in my arms. I have never had such a punctual non rushed visit like that before. I dont know why I waited so long to change my dogs vet. All these years of complete chaos and stress. Charleston Harbor Vet was stress free as stated on their website and out of all the places I called it was the most affordable. Their online pharmacy is also cheaper than all the vets I called. So glad we found them.

I would like to highly recommend CHV! We are visiting from out of town, and they made an appt. for us immediately. Dr. Blackwood and her staff could not have been more accommodating. Just one more good reason to live in Charleston!

Wonderful Clinic! My dog woke up with a sore leg and Dr. Kahuda and Dr. Blackwood allowed me to bring her in to be examined that same day. Dr. Kahuda and the rest of the staff were extremely caring towards both me and my dog. Everyone at the clinic is very personable and I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone who is looking for great veterinary care. Five out five stars!!

CHV has the most comfortable, relaxed vibe of any vet Ive been to. Its more like taking your pet to a nice house for him/her to hang out with some nice people. Immediately Dr. Kahuda got on the floor with Winston to get to know him. There was no having to inform different techs of the problem and waiting before being able to see the doctor, just the techs and the doctor working together and with you from the getgo. There are no exam tables and exam rooms just feel like a normal side room. The staff clearly know and appreciate how to make people and animals comfortable and make vet visits as stress-free as possible. This is great for my dog that gets serious anxiety when being at a vet. Definitely recommend!

We love Dr. Kahuda and the CHV team. They have taken great care of our dog, Izzo. The atmosphere at CHV is relaxing. Unlike most vet clinics, it is just as comfortable for the dog as it is for their owners. Dr. Kahuda always goes the extra mile to ensure Izzo is well cared for. They are willing to work around a busy persons schedule and often allow Izzo to hang out after an appointment until I break away from work to pick him up.

CHV exceeded my expectations!!! All other vet clinics I have visited in the past pale in comparison to this awesomely convenient vet clinic located in downtown Charleston. It is evident that the CHV team seeks to transcend the traditional vet visit by ensuring clients and their pets are well taken care of.Right away, Dr. Kahuda and the CHV staff made me and my pets feel extremely comfortable -- almost like it was home. They have very large exam rooms with comfortable seating, complete with Dutch-style doors so you can see what is happening and know no one forgot about you like at other vet clinics. I even had a free coffee during my visit! The whole clinic is open concept so you can truly see what is happening and feel good about the treatment of each and every pet. One of my favorite parts I learned about during my first visit is the pet drop-off program. If my dog or cat is sick, I can drop her off at CHV on my way to work and pick her up on the way home! During the exam, Dr. Kahuda was very thorough in explaining things to me and gave me excellent recommendations for the health and care of my pets. She was patient and very knowledgeable!I cant say enough about the wonderful experience my pets and I had at CHV. The entire staff made us all feel very welcomed and valued so much so that my pets and I look forward to going back. How often can you say that about a vet clinic?! Now that Ive been to CHV, theres no where else I will ever take my pets!

Indie and I had a great experience at CHV. We walked over to see Dr. Kahuda about Indies ear. I really liked that there are no exam tables. Dr K sits right on the ground with your pup for the examination. She took her time and checked out Indie. After showing me the yeast in Indies ear via iPad, she showed me how to administer the medication.We will be back for all of Indies vet needs!

Both Dr. Blackwood and Dr. Kahuda have treated my animals for many years. They are the most competent, caring, thorough, and reasonable vets I have had the pleasure of dealing with (and I have dealt with a lot while studying and working in veterinary medicine in the past). More recently my experience has been with Dr. Kahuda. Shes taken excellent care of my cat Suey, and loves her like she’s her own. When I was having difficulty with prescription food, she called the companys medical department in an effort to find any other cases like Sueys. Dr. Kahuda is incredibly knowledgeable as well; she practices on the forefront of medicine. For instance, she brought back several new options for treating Suey’s periodontal disease from a recent national veterinary conference. She’s also extensively researched answers for an inconclusive lab result; even calling an infectious disease specialist in Tennessee, of course all at no extra charge. Dr. Kahuda is also aware of cost to the client. She will not only give you a range of treatment options (including less costly ones) but will recommend holding unnecessary lab tests and diagnostics if it’s not crucial at the time.With regard to the practice, it’s simply amazing. They have literally thought of everything to make you and your animal feel comfortable. It was the first time Suey ever came out of her cage on her own, talked to everyone, and hung out on the cat –friendly window seat like it was no big deal. Their equipment is state-of-the-art, and they have excellent and friendly staff. I would honestly follow these two vets anywhere, and don’t trust my dog or cat to anyone else. So glad they are conveniently located downtown now!
