In late August, took cat, had dirreaha, had lost from 11 lbs to 5.9 was given a antibiotic and med....week later had not improved, went back for more med.....was given med for a dog, returned for more med, didnt improve, went a third time...no improvement. Unlike mine, if you want for you pet to survive, go elsewhere.. This morning, found him dead.

Cannot recommend this place, they make you wait outside and there are not too many places to park. They will also not take people in the order that they arrive. Nice staff, but these issues happen every visit.

This place has killed many animals over the past years!!!!!!! This man!!!!!! They should be absolutely ashamed and I hope this place gets shut down.

I took my sister momma dog to see him because he was the only one we cant get her in with her vet and when we got there I had to rush one of the babies fall out of the carrier and he said he was fine just scared. He also dropped the mamma dog on his head. We ended having to take the baby to another vet last night because his eyes was swallowing

My first visit was just ok. But the Doctor really did take the time to find out what was wrong with my dogs feet. I felt brushed off and her feet are no better with the meds he gave her.. I cant go back after reading some reviews.

He is the best vet doctor that I have ever in my life he really cares about the anmial that you bring to him and he doesnt care what kind of animal it is he will take care of it. Not like some vets out there in the world only cares about the money not doctor Thomas he cares about you and your pet and thats it we love you and thank you for being there when we need you.

Place cannot even handle the waiting list, arrived at 10 am and at 11:30 still not checked in after asking 4 different times. The lady finally comes out and says we won’t be able to be seen. Wasted an an hour and half on nothing. Asked her why they don’t have a sign in list and she stated that they were not the BMV.Would stay away from this vet because it’s obvious he can’t run a business if they can’t even get people on some sort of waiting list. Front office staff is worthless.

Amazing staff and vet! Very friendly. I have a German Shepherd who gets aggressive when it comes to getting his nails trimmed or held down and they told me exactly what was wrong with him and fixed him right up and didnt look at me like I was crazy for how he acted... First time going and will definitely start taking him there.

Took my sick puppy there twice in 2 days. They told me he had ring worms then gave me dewormer for everything but ring worms. Turns out he had parvo. He had all the symptoms, but didn’t even check. I absolutely DO NOT recommend.

If I could give Tom 1000 stars I would. I have known and used tom for my entire life. I called him crying in the middle of the night and he shows up. No other vet has ever done this for me. If they do they want 500 bucks. He’s the only vet that isn’t afraid of one of my horses. Tom has been there at the worst times of my life and he’s never told me no when I needed him.

They refused to help in an emergency because we had not been seen by them before. It was on a Saturday and they was the only vet open that would see a guinea pig.

They are the best!!! They can’t be in this business for the money, I think they just charge you for the medications cost based on what I usually have to pay to get my cat’s doctored. They provide top notch service and it doesn’t break the bank.

My boyfriend and I have been coming here for 7yrs+ and each time the staff are nice and the veterinarian takes excellent care of our animals. Office is clean and well took care of. Prices are very reasonable. Had my cat fixed this past spring, and the price was right around the same price where they fix cats and dogs at discounted prices, my price was within the price range as the discount . We are very pleased with the service provided here for our animals . I always definitely recommend this animal hospital to family and friends. Thank you for all that you all do !!

Took my dog to this place for the very first time today. He needed a shot and his nails trimmed. (My dog hates his nails trimmed, he will bite and acts like his is dying). Place was packed. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is because I waited for over an hour. I wish they would have let me make an appointment. Overall, staff was great, doctor got the job done and I have a happy puppers again! I would recommend if you have a stubborn pup like mine!

The doctor and his team are wonderful. They know their stuff. I only trust them. He works with you, and also one of few people who makes farm calls. He listens and tells you the truth.

Do NOT take your pets to this place. My puppy had parvo took him in he wasnt tested for parvo and was sent home and would have died but I took him to a REAL Vet and they did the proper procedure he is still not out of the wood...... NO THANKS TO THIS PLACE ITS A JOKE!!!

Honestly, the best vet services in Kanawha county. The staff is friendly, social, and does not try to force sell product.Our first experience was when our 4 month old bloodhound contracted parvovirus. All other vets in the area said, bring her in, we will help put her down. Here we were told, bring her in, we will do what we can for her.It was a holiday weekend and the vet made trips in, on his own time, to check on the animals. Gave our dog meds and care needed to bring her home within a week. We were pleasantly shocked by the bill we received. Did not need to get a second mortgage or sell a kidney. For the services provided and the fact that our pup was cured of parvovirus...we were amazed by how reasonable our fee was.Any person that has ever needed a vet....this is where we direct them.

Very caring and very helpful. The vet is very affordable and is welling to work with you. I was very touched when we lost our Doobers and shortly after lost our Anna. We was crushed. They was brother and sister. We watched them be born and I watched Doobers die but could not watch Anna my heart just couldnt take seeing another one of our beloved babys go. we had had Doober for 17 years and Anna was 18 years old. Pocatalico vets was so sweet. They later sent us a very heart felt card signed by all their staff. It really meant a lot. You can tell that this vet cares for the animals health he doesnt over charge and he well work with you. He also explains too you what is going on with your pet. His very honest. Especially when its that time too put them down. regretfully Annas and Doobers mother Sasha we had taken to another vet. She was too far gone but they dragged it out too get money from us. So terrible for such a good dog to suffer. All of our dogs we loved so much as apart of our family. I trust this vet because of that. He was very honest with Anna and Doobers. As much as it hurt . I am grateful that they didnt suffer. We also take our cat to him now and my son takes his dog too. We are plannig on getting another dog in the future. But not right yet still healing from our lose. But,Im sure this well be the vet we use.
