I really enjoyed working with Daves. I feel so often that I get the run-around from auto repair businesses, but at Daves they kept me informed about every step of the process of figuring out why the check engine light was on in my 2012 Sprinter. And they didnt give up until the issue was resolved. I am grateful for that as I often travel long distances alone in this vehicle and I appreciate feeling that I wont get stuck with engine trouble. Daves is one of the few auto repair businesses in which I have complete confidence and trust.

I had Daves Auto Center work on my 2011 RAM 1500 5.7 HEMI. I had a manifold stud snap flush with my cylinder head and tried to remove it myself with no luck. Had the truck dropped off and they proceeded to accomplish what I was not able to. They milled it out and we’re even able to maintain my original thread sizing. They even resurfaced my head. Afterwards I had them install a new set of headers and adjust the steering to make sure everything was in sync.These guys did an amazing job and I highly recommend them for any work you need whether its daily driver to race motors!

Dave’s Auto - Next Level Service!This was hands down the best experience I’ve had with any vehicle service.When my check engine light came on while traveling through Utah, I started making calls. I spoke to Miles on the phone and immediately knew i was bringing my sprinter van here for service.They were busy, but found a way to squeeze me in for an inspection. The inspection was quick and thorough, uncovering things that no one else had before. They had pictures of everything and detailed write ups that they sent directly to me to review. Miles brought me up to the counter and explained the repair process step by step and in easy to understand language. He told me what they knew, what they might discover while doing the repair, and what they wanted to see after. They were spot on! No surprises.The repair seemed pretty involved, but they finished it in less than a day and even had time to squeeze in an oil change. Greatly appreciate the great service my family received from Dave’s Auto Center.On a trip across the country, our MB sprinter RV through a CEL as well as overheated.No local Mercedes Benz dealer would look at our vehicle for 3-4 weeks. Daves Auto is always on the ball with the work theyve performed for me. Their communication (via text) is the best Ive had. Im a repeat customer and even though repairs are never an enjoyable item, Miles and the team help to make the best of each situation.

Took our conversion sprinter van to them and they were great! Not only handling an emergency diagnostic when they were booked for over a week but also repaired it since it was critical. They were precessional and courteous especially Miles. Thank you for your service of our van and family.

About 500 miles from home the Sprinter van threw a DEF error, check engine light and a P20E8 code. Called up Daves and they suggested I bring the van in as soon as possible since the limp-mode was triggered and I had 7 starts remaining, possibly not enough to limp home. They said that they could diagnose the problem but were about a week out of any availability to do any work. After leaving the van with them the next morning (along with two other RV and van customers), they sent a text within an hour or two showing their diagnosis determination with photos. They also called to follow-up and explained all the bad news. I thought Id be limping home, at least knowing what the issues were. But they surprised me by asking if I had the time THAT DAY to have it repaired. I said that I did. They quoted me the price for the fix. It was an expensive repair, however it was within a reasonable range given that they detailed the cost of the part and cost of labor. It was a fair price since the price of the part matched any price I could find online and regular labor for a rush job. Later, they called earlier than expected and said that the repair was finished and less than the initial quote. They accommodated a late pick-up and went above and beyond, especially since I only had about an 8 hour window for any repairs before I had to get out of town. They were able to diagnose, fix and finish within 5 hours. Im not sure if thats typical, but it was my experience. Plus, I had a seven hour drive to find out if the repair was good. After the drive, it was fine, no codes, no errors no limping about on the federal highway system.

I have met with the folks from Dave’s Auto a few times now. In each interaction I have found them to be personable, kind, knowledgeable and honest. While I was there, they also gave me a tour of their shop. I was impressed with how clean And organized everything was.They perform all sorts of services. Some of the bigger ones: they specialize in import repair, sprinter van repair, diesel performance and repair and even boat engine repair.Miles is great at informing people about their car through the whole process. When I called to get a quote he listened the whole time. It is difficult giving quotes over the phone as they can’t see how intense the repair is.

Since we have owned our Mercedes/Dodge Sprinter we have struggled to find a repair shop that specialized in servicing our particular vehicle. After many frustrating/expensive trips to other mechanics, and many time consuming repairs at home, we decided to try Daves Auto. That has since proven to be a great choice. Miles and the rest of team not only repaired a complicated problem in timely manner, but only charged us a quarter of what the other shops were quoting for the same job! We have had the same kind of experience every time we have taken our van back in. So if you are looking for an honest shop that specializes in Sprinter Vans, Daves Auto is the place to go!

Worst experience Ive ever had with a car repair. I took my vehicle in for preventive maintenance (timing bent change). The car had never had any issues. They found a few other problems that they said said to be fixed immediately. A $200 belt change turned into $1k. Finally I got my car back, and it broke down on the way home! Again, I took it in for preventive maintenance, or had never had issues! Daves would take no responsibility, charged me for the tow back to their place, and claimed that they couldnt have created the issue that caused the vehicle to break down. They said sometimes when you do a repair, other issues with the car wont appear until the initial repair is done (again, I brought it in for positive maintenance, not a repair). They charged me another $500 at this point to repair my car. I will never take a vehicle to Daves again. I feel they are completely dishonest, and refuse to take responsibility when they make mistakes.

WORST experience! Dont let them pull your engine. Thought we were walking into a $6K repair as soon as the engine was out it and we were out of options it turned into a $13K repair. After a $13K repair we get it home and the main coolant hose wasnt even hooked up. Traded in the car less than a month after because I just couldnt trust the workmanship. I would strongly encourage you to go anywhere else - I wish I could go back in time and had paid attention to the negative reviews.....I certainly am not the only person with this experience.

It felt like a “bait and switch and/or an exploit. I knew the engine on my 2008 RAV4 need serious work and Dave’s Auto has all the right equipment and expertise to do anything needed. Dave told me it was a minimum of $3,500 just to see what was needed. He did say he thought we might use the block (this is not the bait and switch as he informed me - this is all on me). He had his guys take apart the motor and found that there was nothing to work with. He gave me bids for a used motor ($9,800) and a rebuilt motor ($12,500).I suspect he could have been more transparent before I spent $3,500 just for the diagnosis. Sam at Allstar in Layton was transparent and honest. It costs a total of $4,300 just to put it back together to tow it to Allstar Auto. Even with paying Dave $4,300 I will get a replacement motor with a better warranty for less than Dave’s bids. I am glad there are trustworthy option (Dave is not one of them).Nice job Dave at exploiting people with exorbitant prices and then further exploiting them to invest another $8,000 into finishing the job. What’s worse is that Dave might be the most condescending person I have dealt with.Fool me once, shame on me, fool me twice shame on you. I am sure Dave’s team does great work, but I will never know and say to you “keep Dave in front of you and your hands on your pockets” or avoid Dave alltogether.

We took our boat for engine repair. This guy is a real jerk. He will hold your vehicle and not release unless you pay in cash so you have no recourses with your credit card company. He threatens to hit my husband and ordered him off the property without our boat. My husband called the police and they were very aware of his lousy business practices He did work that was not authorized he charged prices not agreed upon and took 3 times as long as he quoted. He left the boat in pieces and filthy and then said our starter was no good. It worked when we took it in. Ever go near this place. Wish we had read the reviews before we took it to Dave’s. Steer clear!

Price check before ever agreeing to work with these guys. Dave and his son completely lack any integrity whatsoever. Check there Facebook reviews. Wish I had. Since leaving this original review. Dave contacted me personally to threaten me into removing this post. He apparently hides verbiage in his e-receipt. That states you can be sued for leaving negative comments about their business or quality of work. Just reinforced their complete lack of integrity. After being charged by Dave more than 3Xs what the dealer would have charged me. Ive had to return my car to the dealer to have them redo Daves work. Truly the worst experience Ive had with a auto shop in 30+ years.

We took our jeep into Dave’s Auto for a repair. The Jeep dealership has been trying to figure out and wasn’t able so we were recommended to Dave’s. They were able to fix it first try, and cost us a fraction of what we had already spent at the dealership. I’m very pleased, and will return.

They are efficient and kind people. Did a great job of resetting errors on a 2019 Mercedes Sprinter. I’m happy we went here. Miles is a good guy.

Had Daves crew rebuild my entire engine in my Chevy Duramax. It was a lot of money but totally worth it. The truck runs like a dream. When I had to have another mechanic look at it on minor issue when I was out of town, he said he couldnt believe how well done the engine work was. He said every wire and line was put back exactly in their original locations and the detail work was fantastic. When I had a part break that Daves worked on that was technically not part of the warranty they provided, they still replaced it for free and stood behind it. Im pretty familiar with cars and engines and highly recommend Daves not only their work but also their integrity. Dave was always willing to talk to me himself when needed and never pawned me off to someone else.

This is a great place for great service right at the beginning starting with Miles. There work is superb, tell you what needs to be done to do it right and then complete on time and reasonable price. I think they have competent mechanics, but they just dont know how to work on sprinters. I also paid more than what the dealership would have charged.

Ive taken my vehicles to Daves for quite a few years now. Once I found them, I wont go anywhere else, and recommend them to others.

I kept having a check engine light on my Range Rover and felt the dealer was guessing on a fix. I have never been to Daves but I heard that they had some experience with these speciality vehicles so I gave them a chance. I was pleasantly surprised at their thoroughness and they were able to explain why I needed what I did. Because they took the time to diagnose it right, and explain it to me, I let them repair the vehicle and after about two weeks now the light has stayed off. I’m happy to trust this business with my vehicle. It’s hard to find quality service these days, but places like this deserve recognition. Good job gentleman and thank you.

These guys are awesome they fixed my chevy colorado truck for less than 1/2 the cost every quoted me. I dont know why there are so many bad reviews I never had any issues with them my truck has been running great for over a year with 220k on it.

I read reviews about Daves Automotive both positive and negative That should have been a red flag with how big the negatives were But I gave them a chance. Our company van had died due to the DEF and they got it going for that I am grateful .Picking up our company van the steering wheel instead of having where you hold it Being at 9 and 3 is now At 12 and 6. I had to point this out to them rather than them telling me With no explanation as to why this was the way it was Other than the possibility that the tow truck driver hooked onto something he shouldnt have. Unless told to by my company I will never return Daves Automotive again. This has been my experience Others have had other experiences Ill leave it up to you to decide what you will do as for me I will never return the Daves Automotive. Another mechanic said the front left strut had been hit and that is what caused the steering wheel to be at 12 and 6. The other mechanic got it straightened out. Thank you to Daves auto for getting our van going I just wish they had spotted the steering wheel and informed me.

Called in to price a new turbo to get installed on my 01 dodge. Jessika was very patient and helpful.

Used them for the first time on Thursday. They were professional from start to finish. They actually listened to me and let me point out what was wrong and needed fixed. The facility is clean an easy to get to. I will definitely use them in the future when I need repairs I am too lazy to complete myself.

I took my vehicle here for a 2nd opinion for a check engine light. They quoted $130 to diagnose which was high, but okay. I put $140 away from my check. When it was finished, they said it would be over $185. I explained I didnt have the difference and would have to borrow the money from family or pay next check. They said if I didnt pay by the end of the day theyd impound it. I stated if that happens I wouldnt be able to get it back, but they did anyway. I am a single parent of 2 kids in school and this was my only vehicle. To be clear, they didnt even fix anything, just diagnose, and they were heartless, impatient, and rude. My daughter said the guy on the phone sounded like I had stole something from him. Now I have no vehicle.

I was very disappointed in the service. To be removing removing radiator to clean and replace it back. Sad

RIP off prices. Wanted 500 just to look at it.

Daves is the only place I will take my vehicles for service and repairs. They are transparent with their pricing and send you photos, and/or video of the problems they discover and the prescribed repairs. Very professional and courteous service desk folks which, from my experience, is very rare. They arent the cheapest but cheaper than dealerships. Highly recommend.

Horrible and dishonest service. Was quoted $130 for a diagnostic, and then was charged for an additional $100 for tools. I work at a car dealership and the steep hourly rates for mechanics include the lifts, tools, facilities, etc. They would not start work until they received a down payment for half of the work which is completely unheard of. They also threatened to charge $40 for storage per day until they received the down-payment. When we tried to get our car to take to an honest shop, they wouldnt release the keys to us until we payed the price for the quote plus the dishonest charge for tools. Go anywhere besides Daves auto center unless you want to be scammed. Would leave 0 stars if I could.

I had a great experience at Dave’s Auto! The staff was very friendly and professional. They treated my car with care and did quality work. They’re honest with their work and their prices are very reasonable! I will definitely be back with all other car repairs!

I took my 1995 Chevy 2500, around to a few other shops with an issue with my Intake Manifold gasket. I was leaking a lot oil and coolant. Its an old truck that others werent willing to work with or were asking an arm and leg to fix. Saw the pink palm tree from the freeway and stopped by the next day. Miles was great to work with, he saw the true value of my truck and offered a fair price to fix. Hopefully my truck keeps running, if not Ill take this back to Daves!

Ive been taking my 2008 Sprinter to Daves Auto since moving to Utah in 2018 from Alaska where I wasnt always able to get the service needed, Daves Auto has brought my Sprinter back to top running condition including installing a new transmission which has been running smooth the last 25k miles on trips all over the country. Customer service is always great, with good communication via phone and/or text including pictures of issues found. Service is always fast typically able to schedule the next day or two and having service done in a day which is nice coming from Alaska where you had to schedule weeks or months out and service would take a week or more to be complete. Would recommend to any Sprinter owner and Im sure their professional service extends to other makes and models of cars and trucks

Had them do an inspection of a car I was thinking about purchasing from a local dealership. All I can say was WOW! The report I got back from them was more then I could expect. So much detail, including pictures, that I was able to go back to the dealership and negotiate a lower price on the vehicle. Ive been to this shop for two of my trucks repairs. I have a 12 valve cummins, simple engine to work on, except my issues, I needed some professional work done. These guys have been super nice and patient with my questions and have always finished in a quick pace. I will definitely bring any of my vehicles here if I need something done. Took our high mileage Ford Flex in to have the transmission flushed. Miles fully explained the procedure, the potential benefits or issues that could result, and had the work done faster than expected. The car is definitely running better than before and we are very happy with the service we were given.

I have brought most of my vehicles in to Daves Auto Center for engine repairs and overhauls. Every other mechanic I spoke with said the best that they could do would be to pull an engine out of a similar model and replace my engine. Since my cars are all 30 years old, I decided I did not want to take the risk of installing a new engine in my car.Miles has help me every time and always been upfront with me regarding cost and value of the vehicles I have him work on. I appreciate the reports provided by Daves as they help me understand what all parts need to be replaced. Miles has been great about explaining the necessary and recommended costs and attempts to save me on labor by performing the necessary work while the engine of my car is being replaced.I appreciate all of the hard work that Daves Auto Center and Miles have done for me over the past year and their willingness to resurrect my old economy cars.

Thank you Miles for superior service and going out of your way to help us. We were on an RV trip and ran into a problem with a DEF warning message on our sprinter based unit. We contacted Dave’s Auto Center. They were in the closest major population area and it was after hours. Miles answered the call and agreed to have a mechanic available to diagnose the problem the next morning if we could get there by 10 am. We arrived and the RV was diagnosed. We approved the repairs which would have led to a catastrophic failure if not repaired. The search for parts resulted in the closest source was out of state. By the time an order could be made the UPS pickup had occurred which would have further delayed our trip another day. Miles and Dave’s Auto were able to get the supplier to hand deliver the part to the main UPS office to allow delivery to Dave’s the next day. Dave’s completed the repairs the next day and we were able to resume our trip. We arrived at Dave’s August 13 and all the repairs were done August 14. These guys have serviced my car for like 2 years now. I started coming to them when I had an issue with a noise, and they turned out figuring out that it was something not a huge issue. Dave’s auto is the best choice for all your repair needs from simple maintenance to full engine rebuilds. I bring my aging fleet vehicle here after having many poor experiences from other repair shops. The staff is nice, accommodating and won’t talk down to you. The mechanics are very knowledgeable and quick with problem solving. I also bring my personal truck here because these guys are observant and pay attention to details. They inform me of concerns that might cause problems or breakdowns later. The costs are fair and they don’t cut corners. This is a family business with several long term employees. My Honda Civic had been having engine issues. Other shops told me I needed to replace the whole thing. Dave’s was able to fix it for half the price. I was very pleased with my experience, and the timely manner they were able to complete it in.

I took my motorhome to Daves after having taking it to several other garages for the engine light that kept turning on and staying on. All of them said, they could not find anything wrong with it and just turned off the light, only to have the light turn back on. I kept taking it back to those garages and they could not identify what the problem was so, I heard about Dave’s garage from a friend and took it there. I was thinking, I don’t think he will find and fix the problem either. I WAS SURPRISED!!! Dave’s shop did a complete diagnostic of the RV and found the issue, his guys are amazing! They fixed the light and it stayed off. Plus,he went above and beyond to get my motorhome back to me, in time for our trip. I highly recommend Dave’s Auto Center!!

These guys are the best! Took a very old car in for repair not sure it would even be worth fixing, they kept that in mind did the most important repairs to keep the car on the road, but also advised me of what else was wrong with it and let me make the decision as to fix it. Miles keep me informed all the way. Very professional and trustworthy. Means a great deal if you can find reliable trustworthy mechanics.

I just took my Subaru in for some much needed repairs and was pleased with the level of service here. What really impressed me was the level of communication. At every step of our repairs, I was given the information I needed to make an educated descision in plain English. Miles took the time to make sure I understood my options and was clear on the timeline. The work was finished on time and according to estimate.

Dave’s Auto Center in Centerville is dishonest, baits and switches and then holds you hostage to their overpricing. I took my VW Passat to them with an intermittent Air Conditioning Issue. I generally repair my own cars, but with A/C issues, I don’t have a way to evacuate the refrigerant and have to go to a mechanic. I looked for an honest shop that would be cheaper than going to the dealer, but still does a good job. That wasn’t Dave’s Auto Center!I spoke with Mike at Dave’s Auto Center and he quoted me $90 to diagnose the A/C issue. I left my car there and received a text with their initial diagnosis. Of course, they went digging for other problems first. They said that I had a “rattle” and the “Service Now” message was on, oh and yes, the A/C didn’t blow cold right away. I declined their rattle and service now issues and asked they focus on the A/C.Mike said, yes the A/C was not cooling down right away and it might be an electrical problem. I was acting on good faith that they knew what they were doing and let Mike talk me into $280 to diagnose the system further. I should have said no at that point, but agreed to let them go ahead. I had done some research on the internet and already had a suspicion that it was a faulting A/C pressure solenoid. This seems to be a common issue with VW A/C compressors. The fix is actually quite cheap…a new $25 pressure solenoid, but requires removing all the refrigerant to replace the part and then recharging. At the onset I had told Mike, this was the likely problem.After waiting all day without a call, I finally called at 5:00 PM to ask what was going on. After “accidentally” hanging up on me, Mike called me back and said they were still working on the diagnosis…really, all day long? (probably put it on the rack at 4:30 PM) Mike put me on hold and came back 10 min later. He said the A/C Pressure Solenoid was bad, which is what I told them in the first place, and they would have to replace the compressor. Mike said it would be an additional $1400 to replace the compressor, bringing the total bill to $1800. He said this was a good price and that they had got a great price on the compressor. He then said, “Those German Cars are Expensive to work on”…nice excuse.At that point I was beginning to feel like I was getting taken advantage of. So I told Mike to wait and I was going to do a price check. I call a local VW Dealer and asked for a price to replace a compressor. He said it would cast $1250, but subtract $150 core charge if it was the original VW compressor, which mine was. So total out the door was going to be $1100…$300 cheaper than Dave’s Auto Center. Since when is a local repair shop charge significantly more than a dealer? I was feeling very taken advantage of!I called them back and said I would come pick up my car and take it to the dealer. Mike started to back track and asked for a chance to match their price. At this point I was furious and had no trust that they would do anything right. Not to mention I started reading more reviews online about other customers getting overcharged and bait and switched. It was now 5:30 PM at which they were closing and Mike said they would have to put my car back together in the morning. (what do you tear apart to diagnose an A/C?...they really had no clue on how to work on a VW). As I picked up the car the next morning, paying $423 for the ridiculous diagnostic fee, I told Mike, he should have just listened to me in the first place and replace the A/C Pressure Solenoid. He said they haven’t had much luck doing that… YEAH RIGHT??? Seems there are plenty of people on the internet where this has worked and added many years to the a/c compressor.I would not recommend Dave’s Auto Center to anyone. They use bait and switch…$90 to $280 to diagnose and A/C. They dig for other problems that don’t exist such as my supposed “rattle” and then intimidate…it says “Service NOW!” They are dishonest and charge more than a dealer. Mike didn’t back off the $423 charge for nothing even after I brought all this up. Stay away from Dave’s Auto Center!!!

My parents have been going here for years to do car repairs, now Im taking my own car and they do an excellent job! I appreciate how easy it is to take my car in to do maintenance. Theyre efficient and quick and you can tell they actually care about you as a customer and your vehicle. The overnight drop-off option is perfect especially if you work later; I was able to drop off my car after work and have it all ready by mid day on my day off. I get super worried about the timing of these type of things, so knowing my car is all taken care of and Ill be able to go back to work really puts my mind at ease. Thanks guys!!

I own an Itasca Navion motor home which is on a Mercedes sprinter van. It is always a huge hassle to find someone who can work on this vehicle. The motor home people don’t work on sprinter vans and the sprinter van folks don’t work on motor homes. Dave’s is great because they can do both. They were able to do all the work I needed. They also did a thorough and thoughtful analysis of what work was needed to be done and laid it all out for me in a way I could understand. They were prompt and courteous. I would recommend Dave’s to anyone

THE WORST SERVICE EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD! Brought in my F-350 for an oil leak. Other than the oil leak the truck had no issues, Daves informed me it would be expensive and I understood, they also informed me repair would take 4 days. Three weeks and many up-charges later I picked up my truck. When they dropped it off I noticed a noise that concerned me. I was informed nothing was wrong,however I asked them to re-inspect the vehicle. They informed me the fan clutch had broke, (which they removed.) And it would be an additional $1100 to repair. I left the truck and told them I am giving you the opportunity to do whats right and repair the item they broke. The next day they offered a compromise, that if I buy the part the will install it for free. The cost of the part was $540 and I just wanted my truck done so I agreed. Four days later I picked up my truck and it had the same issue and the power steering did not work! Daves also told me that the power steering pump is now faulty and needed to be replaced and the cost would be $1700.The owner Dave told me my truck was once again in good working order other than the power steering, and advised me he was the expert and he was done talking to my about the repair.At that point I paid over $4100.00 for a repair and my truck was in much worse shape then when I brought it to Daves Complete Auto.I then took it to a dealer to repair the issues my truck was having after the repair. There assessment found that the fan clutch they installed was faulty and the power steering just need to have the air removed from the system. The dealer also advised me that the fan clutch they charged me for was a after market product and could not me warrantied by the dealer.I had to have the dealer call Daves and let them know of the situation in order for them to believe me about the faulty part. They then refunded the cost of the fan clutch.One note I paid the dealer for a new fan clutch and installation and the total was only $580.00. Which means they charged me for the part was more than the dealer cost with installation!Some people have had good review of Daves and I am sure that they have happy. However I just want to share my experience to prevent this from happening again. Also I hope Daves Auto reads this and learns from the situation.

I bought a used Mercedes GLS. After buying it I noticed several issues (one being the AC) I took my car into Dave’s and was very pleased with the service I received. Miles was very thorough and kept me up to date every-step of the way. I will definitely be taking my car back to them.

So helpful and informative. I didn’t feel pressured to do repairs, they just gave me options. My Mercedes is my baby so it’s nice to know someone who’s experienced and honest like these guys.

Left on hold and no one ever answered the phone. Called several times and was placed on hold every time and no one ever answered. Will never consider doing business with this company in the future!! I will let every one know not to use this business!!!

My small company has brought our sprinter van here now a few times. We appreciate their service and it’s been a much better experience and also much cheaper than the dealer. I feel like they have more familiarity and just overall knowledge than even the dealer does with these as well. Just overall pleased with their service and them always working us in in a timely manner.

I took my Ford Focus into Daves’s for a few repairs. I was very pleased with the experience. They explained what I needed, showed pictures, and even walked me back to my car. I will definitely be going back. I appreciate the honest, and awesome work!

Daves Auto has been very professional with me and has always given me straight forward answers. Whether its been an oil change or transmission work, theyve been up front with me and understanding. Would recommend working with them anytime!

My experience is with the Layton Shop. They are very customer friendly and recognize me when I come in - even after almost a year. I had them replace a water pump and a CV Joint on my Lexus. Before beginning the work they noted the fine condition my car was in and handled it with a white glove level of care. They used high quality parts and did a first class repair. Saving me $1,600 over the same repairs at my Lexus dealer in Murray. You can trust them with your finest luxury car.

Would highly recommend. Was impressed with the customer service and experience. Miles, the manager was very clear and made it easy for me to understand.

This place rocks. I have a project vehicle that I have been working on for the past 4 years. I lifted my wife’s “all wheel drive soccer” van. Complete with an all new suspension, new tires and wheels. We were finally able to take it on a road trip and it was awesome! I let it sit for a few months only taking it on short trips. I noticed that it started to sputter and cough and sometimes died. After much research I decided it was plugged injectors. I replaced the spider assembly and it ran better but it still surged. I replaced a few sensors and even the mass air flow sensor. Still surged. I took it over to my local Big O and they told me it was probably a leaking intake. I didn’t think that was it so I took it to Salt Lake Valley GMC. They had it for over a month and finally came up with a likely cause....A leaking intake. They charged me South of $500 and wanted another $1500 to “fix” it. I let it sit nearly a year before I finally got sick of it sitting. I put it up on my trailer and drove to Daves. Not only did they actually diagnose the problem but they fixed it at a reasonable price. No it wasn’t a leaky intake. It under up being a faulty Mass air flow sensor. I guess they don’t always work right out of the box. A big shout out to Miles and the mechanics that got the beast running again.

For 3 years there is car that they say they would fix and I paid thousands of dollars into it but they still have it and it’s not fixed. This is horrible service

One of the best shops Ive ever taken any of my vehicles to! These guys are extremely knowledgeable and have superior customer service! Ive had experiences with them where i needed a rush oil change, or when I left my vehicle there overnight to have it serviced, and they are always as speedy as possible with repairs.Their prices are a pinch higher than other shops Ive dealt with, but like the saying says, you get what you pay for! Thanks Daves for being so spectacular!

Start to finish, they went above and beyond. They sent me pics of what needed to be done and were so courteous, and just overall great! Highly recommend, and will be going there from now on for car needs.

We were very happy with our experience at Dave’s! We were having alternator problems on a long road trip and called last minute as we coasted into town. They fit us into their schedule and helped us uncover the problem and locate a new part. We were back on the road the next morning and we also really enjoyed the mechanics and customer service. We are not having any residual problems and would highly recommend Dave’s. We are so thankful they could make time for us and help us stay on schedule.

Needed a major repair, and I felt these guys took the time to educate me. I had it at another shop and felt like it all went over my head and didn’t feel comfortable with it, but these guys showed me pictures of the issue I was having and took the time to explain it. Not easy trusting in a new mechanic, but I’m glad I tried these guys and they made it easy to trust them.

This company takes care of its customers with honest, fast, and friendly service. This is the only mechanic I will use. They have been in business a long time and have a great staff of knowledgeable technicians and mechanics. Whatever issue you are having with your car, they will make it right.

These guys helped me out with my Chevy Express van. I thought my transmission was going out, but they found another issue that only cost me like $400 to fix and I ended up not needing an entire expensive transmission. Real quality mechanics are hard to find, so I’m glad I found these guys.

I took my 98 Civic into Daves Auto Center and had a new muffler installed. The staff was very friendly and willing to work with my work schedule so that I could bring my car in when it was convenient for me. They were honest and were finished with the job quickly. They did a great job and my new muffler looks great! They also performed a safety and emissions test on my car and were very thorough about checking everything very well. They took great care of my car and I had great peace of mind knowing that I was in good hands.

Dave’s service was excellent. The repairs I asked for were made expediently. Miles and the staff communicated effectively. The price was reasonable. Dave’s ability to problem solve was most important for the repeat problem my vehicle was experiencing. I was encouraged to return if the problem recurred, without additional charge. They also have an eye on vehicle safety, which is refreshing. A mount bolt was missing from one of the rear wheel hub bearing assemblies, which could have resulted in catastrophic failure!

My experiences with Daves Auto has been excellent. I recently bought a 03 Dodge Ram. The motor had skipped timing and I got a smoking deal on a very clean body. After looking around for a few shops I called Daves Auto seeing as they have a full machine shop in house and I wanted one point of service for all my engine rebuild work.Initially, I had hoped that the truck was just in need of just a head rebuild. However, after opening everything up the truck had a scored piston wall on cylinder 2 and was in need of a full rebuild. They quoted me a very fair price for the rebuild and finished it right before thanksgiving. I believe 2 weeks turn around from the time they received the truck on a flat bed.The truck now runs fantastically and after 500 miles I couldnt be more pleased. The truck went back to Daves for inspection and oil changes. Everything is 100% with no refrigerant or coolant leaks.I worked with Miles as my point of contact for everything. He was well spoken, knowledgeable and promptly replied to all of my questions.Im super happy I went this route to get a reliably running truck. I have a 3 year warranty on this truck and my total investment is just slightly over that of what theyre going for on KSL (without a new motor).

Miles was able to move things around last minute and squeeze me in for a big job the day after Christmas. He was able to replace my cracked harmonic balancer in just 1 day so I was able to continue my travels. My sprinter was running terrible and loud, now it sounds like I’m driving a Prius. I would highly recommend these guys to work on your sprinter.

They handled this with ease and actually made the process and enjoyable one, They kept me updated with all their progress Via email with pictures And video. And took the time to explain to me things that I didnt Know without Making me feel uncomfortable because I didnt already know it. Daves Auto Center took really good care of me and my car (Honda Pilot). I was impressed with the honesty that I received and the quality of work that was done to my car. I had no idea that my timing belt was not properly working and that it hadnt been serviced (more than likely) for the life of the car. Which they found that the tightener was beginning to fail and saved me a pricey engine failure.They also listened to me and remembered what I told them. I came in with a concern that my car wasnt working properly and that I felt the engine was not working as it should be. They really wanted me to have a really good working car and they did everything that they could to make it run super smooth.Their motto is to Fix it right the first time. and they did. They didnt skip any corners and made sure they did their best. My wife will be very pleased to have a car that runs so well.Update: I was able to have a very quality job that was cheaper than the dealer would have done, but better quality. We have really appreciated the care Daves Auto takes to make our car run well.

Last winter during one of the big snow storms my wife accidentally slid down a hill, went over the curb and fortunately stopped before dropping into a ravine. We were distraught and knew Dave, so we gave him a call late into the night. He got up, went down to his shop, got his biggest towe truck and came to our rescue. If I could give him 10 stars I would. I would be very careful taking your vehicle here. My experience consisted of $600+ just in troubleshooting a problem they were never able to fix. Then I realized they charged me substantially more for parts & labor then the dealership (Mercedes) would have charged me. To top it off, they overfilled my DEF tank and spilled highly corrosive DEF all over my engine and hoses. Do yourself a favor and take your vehicle elsewhere.

Not only did they do a great job with the rebuild, but they really care about the quality of their work and they take great pride in their work which impressed me!
