I actually give wrench n go about a 3 because they have a couple grouchy ones working there and are not trying to go any particular way out of for ya. I give one of their employees the 5 star. Javier is his name and I was totally impressed by his word and he by far went out of his way to help me and that meant alot to me that he didnt brush me under the rug and actually followed up with me. He is AWESOME!!!! SUPER SWEET AND POLITE AS WELL. People like him makes a repeat customer out of me. Thank you sir,😊

This is a pretty good self service yard, and I have been coming here since they opened, and prior to that under previous names! I have a fairly large menagerie of 80s vehicles and like to come here every month or so looking for parts for them, or anything else I might find interesting. Most of the stock is 90s-2000s with a smattering of 80s. 2010s are starting to be more common as well. Today I managed to pick over an 82 VW Rabbit for things that my 88 Golf Cabriolet needed!

Would give a 0 if possible. Dont go. Only willing to give $250 for a 2002 Ford F150 King Ranch. Never looked at truck. This is because I removed cat converters. $300 with cat converters. Sold cat converters for $800.

Been there twice both times I was turned away at the door within an hour of closing time. They make up their own hours.

This place gets worse each time I go. They are judgemental and rude if you arent a man even worse. and when you call about a price they lie and then up the price after you spend all that time taking the part out. I go here so often and after this time Im over it. I wouldnt recommend coming here unless you absolutely need to .

Always a great time, better then most places you might think to take this girl on date night! Lol! The staff is always helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. I almost always find what im looking for, cant say that about many things. 😉 Best buck you can possibly spend.

Call down before we came said they closed in an hour 15 minutes arrive in 10 minutes and they are Closed. Basically theyre hours of operation are too whenever they see fit changes daily! .Not a reliable place. I. would recommend Yaws or anywhere else if at all possible!

I called to see if they had size battery I need because I didnt want to drive into Des Moines considering I live 26 miles away. Id hate to waste gas to get a battery thats not there. The guy that answered the phone was I dont know you have to come look we have lots of batteries out there and was very rude. Ill find somewhere else to buy a battery.

My boyfriend needed some parts for the front-end of his truck, namely a bumper. So we decided to check out the local junk yards. It getting late in the afternoon so we knew that Yaws would be closed. So we called Wrench and Go. After confirming they were open I asked the person on the phone what time they closed. I got hung up on. The website said they were open until 5:00 So we grabbed some tools and headed that way. When we arrived, there were 3 people standing outside the front door. We didnt know if they were just practicing safe distancing or what. So my boyfriend checks it out. Apparently they were closed. This is why they were only given 1 star. We didnt need to waste the time and gas going down there just for them to make their own hours! So disappointed. Because of this deceit I will not use their services ever again.

The last 2 times I went there this week they was closed down after Google said they was open. Dont like driving to places for no reason..

Sign says arrive 30 minutes before close and we showed up 40 minutes because its the earliest I can get off work. Proceeded to get told to be here an hour before. Total joke.

Told them I needed coolent res for my 1990 mercury grand marquis ls and tail light covers cause mine broke they told me right where the vehicle was and I pulled the res but didn’t have the tools for the tail light covers. They tried to help but found out they had wrong tool as well and I didn’t have enough money for all three items so got the res and told them I would be back at later date for the covers. They actually managed to get them off for me by the time I came back to do it myself so I thought they were already sold but they told me they were saved for me on the shelf and brought them out as I could pay and leave. Really appreciated that cause it getting really hard to find parts for above mentioned vehicle. Thank you wrench and go

No set pricing. Pricing is set by the Person u talk with. They want 23.50 for a interior rear view mirror. And 160$ per door panel. We talking about parts from mid 90s vehicles. Come on people. Check out trails end. Better pricing and customer service.

$1 admittance. A person cant really go wrong with that. Dont be fooled, their online inventory isnt 100% accurate. They understate what they have, so if you are in doubt, check it out. I pulled a few items that were pennies on the dollar, so for those that are budget conscious...this is a great place to spend your day. The staff were friendly and it wasnt too horribly busy. The inventory was on the less fresh side, but that happens in a high demand area.Update: The parts I bought that were claimed as good, all work beautifully. So happy I saved a fortune with these guys and got my hands dirty.**THEY ACCEPT TOUCH PAY TOO**(Samsung, Google, Apple, PP, etc). This small feature just made them my best friendRecommend.

Cheap place to get auto parts

Its an awesome experience; 1st time without my brother or husband. I needed a relay switch. They charged me a dollar and cut me loose. I loved it. I met some really nice people recommended to all.

I like it because I can pull parts I want. My dismantling a part I can better understand how the piece will fit om my car. Great learning experience for the novice..great place to get low prices on parts that would cost twenty times more at the dealership. Pretty sharp staff too.

Loved it, walked in said I was looking for a front bumper, the gentlman asked year make and model, I told him, so he gave me super specific directions to the only one in the lot! I got my part and brought it up front, he gave me a very fair price and I took it home. A great overall experience

My only suggestion is that they should have a tool rental department for when you come across a situation and you dont have the right tool

I called on a Wednesday ask if I could get my car junked was so excited that yes I came in that day on lunch was pointed where too go two days later they got the car just like they said all these bad reviews I read about lowballing it’s a junk yard your not getting top dollar I’m so happy with the service I got super easy and were able to get what I needed done can not wait to give them more business and can’t wait to check out the yard sometime!

They tell you one day that theyre going to pick up your vehicle then when you call and find out what taking so long they tell you a different day you guys better be here tomorrow to pick up the truck or Ill be in at noon to pick up the damn title

Its one of the greatest places in the world! Where else can you go to get cheap parts? Takes a little bit of work but its definitely worth it!

I looked at a vehicle that was for sale and when I asked about it they had it listed on paper for sale at $1700 then a person said to change it to $1900 and now I have seen it for sale on craigslist for $2000(2005 Ford Escape). This makes me question what their ethics are and how they do business. Was told all they did to the vehicle was put gas in it and nothing else.

The service was welcoming and the prices arent bad. They accept credit cards, and have good hours. The lot can get muddy after rain, but overall a good place to go. The automated phone service was very easy to work with and the staff was helpful when asking about their stock of vehicles.

I was hired through a staffing agency called Avenue staffing, Alot of the staff took vacations during my time there, after one month I received a call from the staffing agency that wrench n go had informed them I was no longer needed. The only answer I could get was thats how a staffing agency work

Horrible customer service!!!! Called to ask if they had a specific size tire, and the lady apparently thought that was a dumb question. Very condescending and huge attitude. I understand you probably can not know all tire sizes being it’s a salvage yard. However, it was a question coming from someone that lives 45 minutes away and again, it was simply a question that could have been answered without being talked to as if you are a child. Train your employees to have some respect and courtesy when dealing with potential customers.

Good place to get used parts. Good employees. However, if you find the part you need, pull and buy it then, next time you go, vehicle might not be there.

Used to be a great salvage yard. Over the years its gone down hill. Used to have a ton of inventory. Now when you go there, its pretty sparse. Theyve always required you to pay $1 to enter the yard to see the vehicles and remove the parts yourself. But now, paying that dollar wont get you much unfortunately.

I wished that they disclosed you are going to be charged and environmental fee for everything you purchase and an extra $3.00 for dismount fee on every tire you buy. Tires are listed at $20.00 but closer to $24.00 each. Overall a good place to get a decent deal if you are willing to hunt and remove yourself.

Great first time experience! They pointed to where Id find the part and I wrenched it off !And if you were just SURE that you packed your sockets but didnt.. they will sell (as a deposit) you a set to use and buy it back when youre done. (return the deposit).

I have had a terrible last few visits with wrench n go. Been going there for the better part of the last 10 years. John is a great guy. This new guy they hired has a major attitude and doesnt care about customer service. He would rather google the exchange rate of a mexican paso than help the customer at the front counter with parts in his hand. The auto sales department is nearly as bad. I have waited 3 weeks for them to get the key for a vehicle that was up for sale on their front lot. At which point they raised the cost of the vehicle. Crappy customer relations. Guess they have some cleaning house to do.

Not super impressed with the customer service. Employees were distracted with conversations that didn’t pertain to the work and didn’t really care to help me. But that’s okay, obviously they don’t need my business so I will take it elsewhere

Not sure why everyone complains about the pricing when they have it on their website, doesnt matter type of car parts have same price so some parts may be cheaper somewhere else but thats the same as every place. work at Alvarez Auto Sales and we always come here and cars we need to get rid of come right here. staff could adjust attitude a bit but if youre rude first you should expect it. im the same way where i work, im all for helping until i get cussed at or bad attitude to me. only thing i dont like now is that all the inventory changed from how it was where they grouped same makes together. makes for more walking to find what we need. look forward to continue to do business with them.

Literally just got off the phone with the guy, he was super short with me after I told him I was looking into pricing for getting rid of my car. Only gave me information as far as how much it would cost for them to tow it, didnt even try to help me further find out how much I could look to get for my car. I was hoping the bad reviews were wrong, but clearly I was wrong.

Ive been going for about 12 years to wrench n go to pull out transmissions and engines alternators starters, all kinds of auto parts.It is really good place to go to i strongly recommend to the public.

I called to check for a particular part on 1/30/18 at 11:45am. The guy who answered the phone was the most rude person I’ve encountered. He was not helpful, made no recommendations and before I could even fully explain the part I was looking for, I was told he didn’t have it. Although the particular part I need is the same on 92-01 models and is an extremely common car.

Car parts are often cheaper NEW off ebay then what these guys charge for the used ones YOU pull off!

The black guy that works their is a disrespectful p.o.s. Plus they lie to you over the phone. I called to price what i would get out of a running and driving impala. The guy over the phone said 250. I then said i would be on my way with the car. Drove the car all the way from Boone Ia, handed the title, then that disrespectful p.o.s behind the counter told me 125. So i asked who i spoke with behind the phone because i was told 250. The b**** behind the counter wouldnt answer my question and started shouting. So i told the mother f***er behind the counter to go f himself. Funny thing is there was another customer who was looking for what i had for parts. Sold the car for another 100 right in front of the rude b****. Taught his a** a lesson.

You have to be 16 years old. I grow up in a junk yard and I brought my son and he couldnt go in because he was 15 years old. I am not going to come here again and there rule is stupid. I look up the age limit and there is no age limit. So there rule is strict and I am not coming here to get any more parts.

Good on prices due to pulling your own parts. Nothing newer than about 03 though so not good for newer vehicles.

I called and asked about some rims and they told me they had them.. I told them I was on my way to get them, and when I get there they sold them to someone else.

Overall place clean, reasonably fair, people working at wrenchngo friendly most of the time. But as people we all have bad days or mowments in life?
