Amazing !! Old school vibe barber shop...The gentleman are always so kind and go above and beyond for my little boys cuts. 3yr and 4yr. Super clean place....always offers refreshments. Have been going for months and will never try another place.

I was in the area and decided to stop in this barbershop to get my son’s haircut. I must say of the barbershops I’ve visited in my day, the customer service here was simply amazing. The young man, Trevor was very professional, quick and knowledgeable. His attitude was so delightful and welcoming, it completely blew me away to say the least. My son left happy with his haircut and also happy it didn’t take forever. Thank you for your time and precision. Very busy shop, but the guy in the 3rd chair was fast (shhh…don’t tell my husband, but he’s good looking too). Brought my son in for a cut, he loved it. Also, very welcoming…they offer beverages while you wait. We will be back 😏

First time at a barber and all I keep thinking is why in the world have I never been to a barber before?!?! I suspect they aren’t all this good. The guys were having a good time, making it a place you’d want to hang out at. Along with the beer they offer you, this place makes you feel like a better man!

I went there today for a side trim which started with a nice conversation. Showed the picture which was my long term goal (a pony) and I was suggested just for a trim to the side burns which is what I was expecting as well. When it was complete, I asked for the charges but to my surprise it was waived with a quote It was just a side trim.I am definitely going to make them my go to shop for any future needs.

Every single time I have visited (even the first!) I have been treated like an old regular who has been coming for years. The crew on duty is always super helpful and friendly, even when I have no idea how I want my hair and beard cut. Everyone is super friendly and makes you feel right at home. I dont get trimmed up often, but I wont use another shop.

I have been cutting my own hair for years and finally decided I would go back to a barbershop. I couldnt be more pleased with my decision to get cut here. The guys are all incredibly friendly and personable that you end up having cool conversations with them and the other guys waiting on hair cuts. I recommend anyone and everyone to come here.

Came in for a walk-in, left wondering why more places aren’t this good. Extremely friendly staff that make you feel comfortable and welcome the moment you walk in the door. BROOKS was my stylist’s name, and he delivered one of the cleanest most detail oriented cuts I’ve had in my 30 years alive. Wish these guys would open up a place in Wake Forest where I live! Give them a shot, you’ll be glad you did.

This place is everything that a barbershop is supposed to be and more. I cut my own hair for about 5 years and my face was clean shaven. So after growing my hair and beard a little while this was the first barbershop I went to and I was blown away. The conversation is always good, everyone is having fun. Great quality cuts, reasonable prices, and a free beer while you wait. Can’t beat it. 6/5 stars!

It is the BEST barber shop EVER, we have been taken a 12 year old boy now to get his haircut done for the past year, he comes out always looking amazing. Also, while we wait we can see the transformation of other customers. They truly know what they are doing and it is always a nice time and conversation.

I’ve been going to A Better Man’s Barbershop for almost 5 years and they knock it out of the park every time. Just went back for my first haircut since barbershops have been allowed to open during COVID19 and was very happy with the cleanliness. Their updated scheduling process to allow for social distancing was organized and easy to get a time I wanted. They spaced out their chairs for more space between customers as well. These guys are hands down the best.

The fellas at the shop do an amazing job on my son’s hair. My only suggestion for the shop is a ticketing system. It is really hard keeping track of how comes in and out to know when you are next, specially since the shop is so popular.

Let me just say that this barber shop is basically a blend of new and old. You have all the flairs of a old school barber shop like you would see on Andy Griffith with a blend of modern day. You have and modern equipment, TVs and beer. If you are looking for a basic and straightforward simple haircut then come here and you won’t be disappointed. They don’t try to sell you on products and they don’t try to get fancy with their haircuts.Also keep in mind they only accept cash.

My husband found this place shortly after we moved to Raleigh and loved it. I tagged along with him a few times while we were out running errands and quickly understood why he loved it so much. Great atmosphere, free beer while you wait and great haircuts. We love Steve so much we brought our little guy there for his first haircut recently! I just can’t say enough good things!!

Best barber I have been too yet. For $35 I got a full hair cut, beard, stash and eyebrow trim. Also included was a razor neck line shave, hot towels on my face to get the shave ready, free draft beer and coffee also available. Nice conversation with all 4 barbers and all the clients in the waiting area. AND I look good!Cash only!

This place is still amazing, but now you need to call in before you go in.*The atmosphere of A Better Mans Barber shop is definitely what keeps bringing me back, that and the amazing haircuts and styles you can get. Its $25 per cut with extra for beard trim and other services but for the quality of the haircut, I believe its worth it. If you wanna come out looking good and better than you ever did, this place is definitely a must for all guys. Every time you come in, they are always laughing, having a good times, talking about sports. Just feels great being in there and chatting with everyone, its honestly a nice escape from every day to day when I come in.Every barber there is highly experienced and knows what they are doing. Just let them know what you want and explain to them what type of hairstyle, etc, you need. They will work with you and make you look your best when coming out of that place.Some important things to note. They do have beer which is free (only two servings are free). They only accept cash (they do have an ATM inside). Steve and the guys are great and its about time I run into some Browns fans in North Carolina. My go to barbershop for the past 3 years. Lots of great barbers, free coffee and beer if thats what youre into. They wont stop talking about mediocre Ohio sports so thats kind of a negative, but otherwise I love coming here.

This will probably become my go to barbershop. I was going elsewhere for price but I dislike very much wasting my time! So I looked up places near my home and two shops showed up. I decided to message both businesses and this one wrote me back, so I went there at opening time. There was plenty of parking, probably because its 10am on a Monday. I went in and was greeted by one of the barbers. I sat down and the shop is well decorated. Theres a beverage area which also features beer! Too early today though. I wanted to be there first but customer were already inside, so I waited. It was about 15min later that I was next. I sat down and chatted with Barber. Conversation was pleasant and my cut came out great! Very happy with results and overall experience. Ill see you next time Lafayette (hopefully I got spelling right!).

What more can you ask for? Professional barbers, great conversation, and free beer. I go there at least once a week and the staff really makes you feel like family. Steve is a great guy and keeps me going back. The haircuts and shaves are always done with care, and if you dont like it theyre always willing to make it right. Would definitely recommend to anyone, whether they need a quick shave or a full makeover 🤣

Being new to beards and facial hair, I didnt know where to go. After doing some searching, I stumbled on this place. I emailed the shop manager explaining that I needed a haircut and a shave/beard trim. He told me that his shop can definitely take care of me.So... I came in today and Sam took amazing care of me. Told him I know nothing about facial hair, but needed a haircut and shave... essentially make my hair and face look work professional and do whatever he thinks is best. Extremely professional and detail oriented. Had me looking much better in 25 mins. What Sam does is an art! I will be back again even if it is about 25 mins from where I live. Great job! 5 Stars!

Fantastic barber shop. Never been to a barber before so I was a bit intimidated, but they made me feel absolutely welcome. The free beer was definitely a perk! I had no clue what I wanted but they did a great job of guiding me and cleaning me up perfectly! Can’t compliment enough. I only feel bad since I didn’t know it was customary to tip your barber! I’ll make it up next time!!

The free beer is to help with the pain of paying $30 for a terrible haircut. I went to a different barber shop the same day for them to fix it. His first guess was that I went to a salon. The barbers at this shop, everyone of them are cool as hell! The first time you come to this place youll be treated like an old friend. The environment is awesome. Ive been there a dozen times and my haircut is always perfect no matter which barber cuts it. Hot towel, hot cream face, neck, and beard shave with a straight razor. Theres also free beer on tap. Self serve out of the kegerator!

This place is amazing. I’ve had Sam cut my hair twice. The other guys always turn out quality haircuts from what I can see. It’s nice to grab a beer while you wait and it’s even nicer that they don’t take any extra time than what is necessary for what you want. Even better that you’re charged accordingly. Steve my barber was awesome! Sure its a little bit on the higher priced side--but definitely worth it! A nice profile and a very clean look inside was a refreshing thing to see. Apparently you can enjoy some beer, on the house, while watching football so thats always a plus. (It was 10am - too early for me, but Ill take them up on their offer next time.) overall experience: EXCELLENT.

So great to find a Barber Shop in Cary (right off 40) with an old school vibe. Haircut and shave was great and well priced. This was a first...free craft beer with my service...what a treat! Also, here was a convenience, they have an ATM machine in the shop. They are cash only and I only had credit cards so the machine saved the day. Yeah, there was a small charge, but hey...it was my negligence to forget cash. The shop owner offered me a $5 OFF coupon on my next haircut so I actually made out on paying the small ATM fee. Cant wait to go back to get my free neck trim between haircuts. Heck, I may just go back to hangout because the Barber Shop vibe is so cool there. Just like going with my Dad in the old days.

I had moved back to the area and was looking for a place to get my hair cut. Im pretty picky and particular and definitely wanted to find a solid, consistent barber. So I tried out A Better Mans Barbershop. Boy, am I glad I did.At first I was a little worried, as you come in and its typically a first arrived, first served system, and you normally get whatever barber is up next. However, if you want to, you can wait for a particular barber to open up. Meanwhile theres free beer, free coffee and usually soda, sports TV and always a fun and enjoyable conversation. Its just a cool and fun guys place to hang out. After getting haircuts from just about all of the barbers, I realized my fears were unreasonable. Ive been pleased with the quality of cuts from all of the barbers, so now I just go with whoever is available next.In addition to haircuts, they do beard trims, straight razor shaves, mens facials, and assorted services. I find them extremely reasonably priced, quick and always a very pleasant experience. Despite there being many salons and barbershops between my house and A Better Mans, I make the 15-20 minute trip. Its well worth it. Tell em Mario sent you, if you go. Theyll take great care of you.One note - they are closed on Sundays, but are open on Mondays.

Maybe this is just a problem here in NJ, but I enjoyed coming here and not having the barber acting like hes Gods gift to hair. Got a nice beard trim and advice for how to manage it.

By far the best barbershop experience Ive ever had. This place is a classic, yet modern barbershop with cool, professional barbers. They actually ARE barbers and not cosmetologists. The difference is that they can and will legally and confidently use a straight-edge / single-blade razor during your haircut--and its great! It was my first time at this barbershop and I will surely be back. Scott cut my hair and he did an outstanding job, and he seems to just have natural, great barber instinct on what looks and feels right. Im sure the other barbers are great too. They all seem like an awesome and friendly group of guys that know what kinds of cuts other guys want. A complimentary beer/drink was nice too. Perfect location.

First of all, I can understand why men like this barber shop. There is free beer on tap, plenty of sports, and a masculine atmosphere. Youll notice that most of the reviews focus on the atmosphere and personality of the barbers. However, for $25 dollars I received one of the worst haircuts in recent memory. The fade was poorly blended, the top was uneven in multiple places, and the hair was trimmed poorly around the ears. Not to mention, there was practically no effort given in cleaning up the hair, and my eyebrows were trimmed without asking. The attention to detail was just poor. It felt like the barbers were more interested in chatting it up with customers then they were delivering a quality haircut for the price. I hate giving bad reviews, but I have to call a spade a spade.

After years of going to Supercuts, great Clips, etc I finally decided to grow up and start paying for a professional haircut. This place is great and has a great group of guys. Very fun and comfortable atmosphere.

Went in as a new customer for the first time and had almost no wait. Haircut was pretty good. Didnt see any prices when I walked in so wasnt sure what to expect. After my haircut my barber says - its cash only here. That wouldve been nice to know before I got my hair cut. I couldve went to the Wells-Fargo ATM across the street. Instead I was charge $3 to use the ATM in the shop. I got $20 out. Then he says its $25. So I was about to get another $20 out and pay another $3 ATM fee. He said forget about. I wont be going back - too much $ for a haircut.

I came to this shop several times for a haircut and beard trim. I always ask for a 1mm on the sides faded up to a half inch on top. Steve gets it right every time. None of the other guys can comprehend it. This time I left with nearly 2 inches on top and told the guy it looked ok simply because if he didn’t know what a half inch was then I didn’t want him to keep going. Came back today (Saturday) to get it fixed because google says they are open, they are not. Payed 40 bucks for a bad haircut and then wasted gas getting here. Good deal.

Normally when I visit this location the conversation centers around sports.This recent visit, the conversation between the barbers was much different. They spent the hour that I was there joking about male-on-male rape and lady boys.I dont think they meant to offend anyone but there are just some things you dont joke about when conducting business.I gave two stars because the guys do a nice job with the haircuts.

Would not recommend if looking for a fade haircut. Probably the worst fade i’ve ever gotten, although the barbers are good people and it is a good atmosphere. I asked for a low fade, and it was anything but that. The barber did a terrible job blending in the fade, and kept it the same length on the sides, other than the parts he forgot to blend in. It almost seems like the barber forgot to finish my haircut. It is almost embarrassing. Will not be coming back to this place for a haircut. I expected better for a $25 dollar haircut.

I have been reading some of these other reviews about people not getting the exact hair cut you wanted well I can tell you that you obviously didn’t have your hair cut by Steve. He is by far the best barber I have ever had my hair cut by. Also for those that can’t handle barber shop conversations and are offended by common topic things that are sometimes joked about, I’m sure there is a women’s salon that might suit you better Susie. It’s a true barber shop and I have not found anything highly offensive said in there and I have been going for 5 years now. Overall this place is one of a kind and so is the customer service. Come check out out if you haven’t had the experience yet.

A great, laid-back establishment with an authentic feel. I was greeted with the offer of a delicious complimentary stout beer, and struck up conversation with all of the barbers and a few clients right off the bat. Not only did they do a great job on my hair, but also did a fantastic job trimming and shaping my beard, which Im quite picky about. The straight-razor finish is a huge plus, and I should have asked what kind of after-shave they used - I guess Ill find out when I go back in a couple weeks. Thanks for the team effort, guys, and keep it up!
