This place is as bad as bad can get. The check in- check out process is HORRIBLE!! Lack of communication, terrible customer service… they even gave us a FILTHY car in the midst of a pandemic (but they charge a cleaning fee.) Then the staff wanted to argue when we requested a cleaned car. Once you call them out on their customer service, they don’t know English all of a sudden. We got quoted a rental rate of $45 per day and ended up paying $120 per day… for a Hyundai!HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED.
If I could rate this car rental service a ZERO, I would!!!! My husband and I waited with our crying child hours on end. There was also a long line wrapped around the building. Employees here were lazy and seemed annoyed with customers. We were given a vehicle that was very dirty and did not meet the COVID cleaning requirement. We were also given one price and ended up being charged with ridiculous hidden fees. BEWARE!!! I would prefer to spend extra for better service and vehicle.
If I could rate zero at this location I would. I traveled to Puerto Rico on June 26, 2021. Worst experience I ever had. Establishment is understaff but yet you book more rentals than you can handle. I was traveling with my pregnant daughter, my 1 year old granddaughter and her fiancé. Once we got there we had to wait on a long line in the sun for 2 hours. My daughter was about to pass out. They wouldnt let her inside in the air conditioning because of covid restrictions. Didnt even accommodate us not even with a bottle of water. There was only 1 person at counter. After waiting 2 hours to just get to the counter. Im told that they cant use my personal insurance from my own car because my car is a 2015. They only take 2016 and up..yeah sure how convenient. No where on priceline does it say anything but do you want to add there own insurance. Then I had to wait again in the heat for them to bring my car another 2 hours. Once I got my car it was filthy, smelled like 4 football players were hanging out in the car and the smallest car in the lot. I asked for a bigger car when I got to the counter she said they didnt have any. When I complaint about the little car they gave me she tells me I would have to wait on the line of cars again..another 2 hours. The establishment is a joke . Horrible customer service. Will never recommend or use even if I was desperate.
4 hours later and still waiting for a car I reserved and paid for days ago. Worst rental car experience my wife and I ever had. Picking up the car took forever, they only allow one person per reservation inside their facility, forcing children and women to be standing outside at more 98F outside, while their facility is empty. If I could I’ll give them a zero star! Also they changed our booking price… I can’t say anything positive about this place. We had to wait almost 1hr to get our car after the checking process.Horrible rental place. Stay away!!!!
This is one of the worst experiences as a consumer I’ve ever had. I actually didn’t want to use them for a car in the first place due to their reviews but it was the only one that had a car left. I got their and waited in line for nearly an hour barely moving up two spots. TWO SPOTS!!! For some reason only one guy was working the counter. After all that waiting, he told the line of about 10 people that there were no cars left, not even for reservations. The place quickly devolved into chaos as my photo shows. STAY AWAY!!! You will just waste your time.
This place is the worst place you could ever bring your service, I have work in retail before and they do not have any consideration for the customer, even if you reserve weeks prior; when you come they are going to hit you with extra fees they are extremely under staff and they would make you wait outside for hours in the heat because they only allow one person to be inside- the staff doesn’t even explain what they are charging you for. It took me 3 hours to get a car and I had to ask staff if I could be helped after they brought cars to people that came way after me, this was a bad experience to start my trip. If you want to safe your time and money just rent one of the rentals at the airport, they are faster
First I pay 434 when I book online when I arrive to the nextcar I pay 789 more dollar & my reservation was at 3pm they make me wait 3 hour for my car I get the car at 6 & when I have to return I have to do at 3 pm & the car was dented & today when I wake up they charged me 539 more so I pay 1792 for only 4 day in a Hyundai Elantra & they don’t want to bring my money back I don’t recomendet this rent car is a sh***t
Pathetic service and had multiple issues with the reservation :1) it took 1.5 hours to get the vehicle itself in the first place (even after having a reservation)2) the vehicle stinks (most likely puke). We asked for the vehicle to be cleaned and they said it is clean and this is what we get. Alternative was to wait 2 hours at 11 p.m. in the night for them to do their job properly. I decided Id spray deodorant and push through.3) the vehicle just abruptly died on us in the middle of nowhere. The vehicle doesnt turn on. I am writing this review while trying to reach roadside assistance but Im not getting any response. Hopefully I get to enjoy the rest of my vacation.I will never ever ever be taking rentals from Next car ever!!Trust me, it isnt worth the price difference. Pay slightly higher to the big guys for a much smoother experience.
We did have to wait like 2 hours to pick up the vehicle but in all honesty this was a last minute car rental and for the price it was worth it. We needed a van to accommodate us on short notice and that’s exactly what NextCar did. The pick up and drop off from the airport was easy and simple. Returning the car was way easier than the pickup.
Paid for a Jeep, get there and they have no Jeeps available. If you want to use your own insurance your car has to be 2016 or newer…or you have to use theirs. You also have to get the toll upgrade or you get popped for 50$ per toll. There is only one employee and we have been here for hours baking in the sun. An all around piece of trash company, pay a little more and go with someone reputable. Strong scam vibes.
This place is a joke! Only one person working at counter. I had to wait almost a hour for my turn and then the person had to step out to get the car and inspect it with the other customer. I will never rent a car again from this place, very unhappy. Nothing against the guys working. Nextcar in Carolina PR should have more people working
This is the worst car rental experience I’ve ever had. The rental is infested with roaches (see pictures). They started coming out once the sun had set. The company has offered me no solution or compensation. It also took me 4 hours to get my rental between me waiting to sign my agreement and them pulling the car up. My reservation was made and paid for about a week in advance. Their customer service is unacceptable. PlS BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!
They’re trying their best. Discounted rates will bring an influx of people. Sometimes the demand is just too strong. If u don’t wanna wait go to Alamo and Hertz etc and pay an arm and a leg.

** DO NOT RENT HERE **Allied/Priceless/Next Car Are all the same company, they share the lot and cars.I wish I would’ve read the reviews sooner. Car was scrapped and chipped at numerous points.The wait to pick up the car was abysmal as well, 1-2 people on staff with 8-12 people waiting. filled with insane hidden fees.Rented from Orbitz at $359.49 and owed $162.07 at pickup. Seemed reasonable enough for 6 days. Was blindsided with a staggering $450 charges in “taxes and fees” that was not on the original price point. If you can, find somewhere with more transparency.I told the General Manger Pascual my situation of already paying for the rental and fees and he simply told me “you signed the contract” with a shrug of his shoulders.Would absolutely not recommend. Book from the airline itself or literally anywhere else but this place.
I regret not reading the reviews before renting a car here. If you reserve online, be prepared to pay a totally different price - much higher. They trick you into it being non-refundable, so they can get you with the fees due at the counter. Arrive 2-3 hours before your reservation. They take that long to hand you the keys to the car. Absolutely not worth it! Please, whoever is considering this place, stay away.
Prepaid for my car and they found a way to charge me an extra $330 on top of that. The other reviews aren’t lying they are horrible. Giving Two stars because no wait when I got the car and the hoopty they gave me did not break down. When I dropped off the car there was a girl there that was waiting for 5 hours 😳.
This company deserves 0 stars, it is not an honest company, they charged me $264 more than what it said in my receipt and reservation, I do not have any document that said that it would charge me that amount of money for a miserable and small car. I contacted the company and there is nothing to do, I lost my money. I would never recommend this to anyone, it is the worst I have seen!!!!
I’m writing this review while I wait for my vehicle. I’ve been waiting approximately 3 hours with no end in sight. Do yourself a favor, if it’s NextCar or walking? Walk, it will be much faster! One star rating!!!! I wish I could give them something lower.
Absolutely HORRIBLE experience. Takes the cake as the worst auto rental experience Ive ever had the dissatisfaction to be a part of. Where to start. They are intensely understaffed, causing wait times surpassing 4 hours for MOST people. They do not communicate with customers to let them know whats going on. They are by and large unkind. To add insult to injury, They charged me TWICE for the same purchase. Ive mysteriously been charged an additional $542 A MONTH after the original purchase.SAVE YOURSELF THE TIME AND DO NOT PATRON THIS CFIMINALLY RUN BUSINESS.
My worst car rental experience. Booked last minute, family emergency. Paid for an SUV which they did not have available. Automatically downgraded to a hatchback and they would not adjust price difference. Car given to us was not the same one listed in rental agreement, tank was 1/4 full driving out the lot. Wait times are ridiculous, not the best customer service but not the worst. Suggestion, book directly through car rental place instead of doing it through travel agency. If an issue rises there’s too much back and forth with car rental and travel agency and nothing gets resolved.
Terrible customer service. Wait time to get a vehicle was well over an hour with only one customer in front of us. Way under staffed- only 1 service person at the counter. Most importantly didn’t get a car even close to what we reserved. Was too frustrated after the long wait to even argue about it. Do Not Use This Rental Car Service
When I arrived the shuttle pick me at the airport and brought me to the store. After that I wait about an hour for and employee to take care of me do to covid 19 measures, that’s understandable. Got my car and left without any other matter.Took very god care of the car during my time using it but when I came to return it at the same entrance is a manhole that exploded one of the front tires and they charge me $90.00 for the tire just like that. I told them it was raining and there is no sing of that manhole or at least some cones.They said there is nothing they can do and that I have to pay for it. I just think is not fair I get charge fo something is not my fault and that is not the first time that happens per one of the employees there. Just for that I won’t be using this company anymore.
This is the worst car rental place I have ever been to in the entire world. Please stay away!!! They are completely understaffed and the cars take about 20min-30min for each car to clean/wash and get ready. The car porter purposefully skipped me since he brought the wrong car and had to clean another car. I waited about 2 hours for a simple pickup of a economy sized car.
We had the worst customer service experience with Nextcar. We arrived at 11:45 for our car (pickup time12 pm) and ended up waiting outside in the heat for 4 hours. We reserved the car ahead of time, thinking picking up the car would be a quick process. Not only was it unorganized for those already in line, people would use a back entrance to cut the line and be greeted and helped immediately upon entering. The employees at the desks did not direct them to the line that everyone else was in. The staff themselves seemed as if they were not aware of what was going on. While waiting, we were asked numerous times about our paperwork when another associate previously came and took the paperwork. They did not communicate with one another about what was going on. We essentially paid for a day of car service and ended up waiting in the hot sun instead of using the car service we paid for.

So after a long battle with a routes rental car who left me stranded at the airport I finally was able to reserve a car with nextcar. I arrived at 7 am and it was only me and one other person getting a car. It was quick and easy. HOWEVER, my $325 reservation ended up being $450. At that point I was desperate and just accepted whatever to get to where I needed to go. I just wish they were more upfront with their pricing. I did buy the extra toll card since we were doing a lot of highway driving.
The car was decent but not in the busiest condition ; scratches ect that I was sure they were gonna probably flip on me. It took over 2hrs in the line standing in the heat and they wouldnt even let my girlfriend inside. Didnt offer water and one man booked all the reservations for two different car companies and one was outside getting the cars. I have yet to receive my deposit as well. Also yes can have the car returned at the time on the contract, but you are also paying more for the extra time...yet I was offered a rushed rude comment knowing that puerto rico has terrible traffic. Would I go through this company again...if I get my deposit and if it were my last choice.
We made a car reservation a month ago and when we arrived at 9:00 pm (after 11 hours flying to get here) the car was not ready. We had to take a shuttle from the airport to get here. I think that would be the perfect moment to communicate at least the reservation #, but no they do not do that. You arrive and thats when they know who you are. The paperwork takes a long time and then you have to wait for the guy to clean the car! You would think that they would know that people arrive tired and hungry. This place is understaffed and they are not very clever at managing their reservations. I wouldnt recommend this place.

TL;DR; STAY AWAY, they are scammers!!The worst car rental I ever had. I reserved the car for about $540 but in the end ended up paying $780 because of hidden fees they do not show on their website. The guy told me that they show them there but when I proved him wrong, he said that the fees are in the terms and conditions. Are you kidding me? When we finally got rental after almost hour we had to wait for the car almost another hour because their is only one guy doing everything. The car was in bad condition and smelled inside. Also we were suppose to get full tank but they gave us the car with half of the tank and told us to return it with the same amount. How can I do it? Stay at the pump and try to get it right? This company is one big joke and scam. If you can, STAY AWAY!!
0 stars in reality. Avoid this place or you’ll end up paying three times more. We went there July, waited a long time in line and we lost our reservations. Rented the car for one day for about $120 and three days later they took out $424. I had to go through my bank so I could get this disputed because they wouldn’t even tell us why it was so much, they’d hang up the phone when we tried to call them. It is August and for some reason I’m still dealing with these people? What a mistake. Worse experience I’ve had in my life.
This place is ridiculous! We came here for a vacation and spent 7 hours trying to get one car. Don’t go! Don’t come! Come no go! Go no come!! Whatever you can understand! Anything! Just don’t use this place. You will be disappointed!
First time for everything, my first time ever renting here and i will not do it again. I will stick to enterprises there customer service is wonderful. The service here was horrible the sales agent Ramon Alvarez did not even answer my questions kept walking away, and we had to wait for the vehicle so it’s not by reservations. And by the way Ramon Alvarez did not even finish with me when he walked away to do something else and his coworker had to finish my contract with an attitude, he didn’t have a name tag so i could not get his name however he had painted finger nails. If you have a choice do not rent here so disappointed pay more money for better service. They do not tell you that you have to wait from 30 minutes to several hours for your rental. They take your money and give you bad services.

We were here for so long, the sun set. This establishment should not even be in business. Only 1 worker handling everything. Time is money and I wasted a LOT of time here. Just spend a little extra, the price is not worth it here even if you want to save some money.
Well lets see. I paid online for a quicker process. Get there and they charged me 100 dollars more with a 250 security deposit. Im comfortable with the security deposit but the 100 dollars more is definitely false advertising. I could have went to the airport and paid the fees rather than here. At least i would be closer to checking in. If you already have car insurance, dont get theres. Its unnecessary. The sign says low cost for rental cars or no cost somthing like that. If youre visiting Puerto Rico, Rent your car from bella if you dont need to return on a Sunday. If you need to return on a Sunday, rent from the airport because this place charges you airport fees which they are not on the airport grounds. They gave me a car that has a side swipe on it. The person who gave me the car didnt mention it. They better not try to charge my insurance for it. Im getting ready to email them a picture of it
The absolute worst of the worst! I will never rent from them, or their child company Priceless ever again. I will gladly pay the additional $20 a day to deal with a major rental car company that prioritizes transparency and customer service. Over $150 in hidden fees, the sales rep ripped me off in getting me to sign up for prepaid toll pass, and we had to wait over 5 hours upon arrival to get our vehicle. Id give them 0 stars if possible.
The absolute worst rental location in Puerto Rico. Waiting 2.5+ hrs to get rental. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE. Only 1 worker to do both new rentals and returns. AGAIN DONT RENT FROM HERE.
One & half hours of waiting in the hot sun. One & a half hours waiting inside the building under the a/c. One hour waiting for them to actually bring you your rental car. Plus, an arrogant & disrespectful GM by the name of, Pascuel Duen. Be on the lookout for several up charges that they hit you for. This establishment is as bad as I’ve ever seen in the car rental industry. Pay the extra couple of hundred bucks at the airport & call it a day, believe me.
We rented from here last week 8/24/21 we went at our pickup time and only the person renting can enter. So me and my daughters waited outside forever while he was waiting for an attendant at the counter. Outside ppl were waiting as well forever. They excuse was they were short staffed. Ok I get that so we tried to understand. BUTTTTTTT when we went to the side where you are to pick up your car we saw the same ppl that when we were checking in still waiting for there cars as well. I wish I would have took a pic. Long story short we waited almost three hours for them to bro g a car up for us there was at this point almost 25 ppl waiting for vehicles. A family that was there shared their reservation was for 10am n when they came back at 2 something still had no vehicle ready. Make sure to check your vehicle especially the tires take pics and be prepared to wait wait wait. Smh yes cheap prices UMMMM NOOOO there are so many hidden fees. Our original cost online 3 something our total 750 some plus 250 deposit. I will NEVER rent from there again I hope you take my advise don’t do it!
Booked a car for 11:30, and was made to wait outside in 90+ degree Fahrenheit weather for approx. 4 hours before I received my car. Prices here are cheaper, but the customer service is horrible. They tried to make up for the 4 hour delay by offering a water bottle. There was four counters and 1 or two people working, with a line of almost 40+ people.
My experience was very stressful. It took me 3 hours to get the car. There was only one guy working at the front desk, and he was extremely rude to most of the customers. After waiting two hours in line, I went outside to pick up the car and I had to wait another hour because they needed to wash the car. Only one person was working outside as well, and he was in charge of bringing the cars and inspecting the cars that were being returned. I made the reservation through Expedia, I paid 393.00 and I was supposed to paid 189.00 at the place, but I ended up paying another 390, I was not able to use my car insurance from FL because my car is not a 2016 or newer model. So I ended up paying 783 dollars for a Hyundai Accent for four days.
Zero stars from me!!! I have been waiting to get my rental car for four hours. Literally!!! 4 hours. Overpaid for the rental, there were huge fees and hours and hours of wait!!!!!😡Update! 😡😡😡. After four hours of waiting., outdoors, on the heat they brought us the car. It was all full of scratches and damage on one side. You would think that they’ll apologize, but nooooo.. They warned me that I had to clean it prior to returning it, no food, no drinks and no sand inside of the car. The exact quote was, “it is better to pay a dollar to use a vacune than over $100 in penalties for the car to be clean”.
Scam scam scam!! They give you one price online when you make the reservation and when you get there it’s close to $200 more than what you were quoted. Worst part was the Jeep Wrangler we had reserved weeks in advanced was not available and they had the nerve to want to charge close to $600 for Dodge Durango.
We made a reservation through Kayak about a week ago and upon arrival to Puerto Rico, the company did not had any cars available. When our shuttle arrived to the location, they immediatly send us to the next location, which was 3 buildings down approximately, whithout telling us what was going on. It was raining and they had us wait for 3 hours to rent a car. What is the purpose of a reservation if they are not going to hold a car for you? I actually asked the representative to which they answer in a rude way, that you actually reserve the price and not the vehicle. Wrong answer!!! Will NOT USE KAYAK OR THIS COMPANY IN THE FUTURE!
If I could, I would also rate a zero. This place is so shady, they keep their charges a secret and tell you to sign on a pad without letting you see what charges they are processing. Then after the fact they tell you what they charged you and when you ask why you were charged for roadside assist when you have AAA, they say sorry, too late, its already processed. So they force you get all this unnecessary insurance and charge a $250 incidental charge that is supposed to be refunded after you return the car with right amount of fuel & no damage. Still waiting for the refund.
This is the worst car rental agency ever. The location is weird, only one guy works here, and you’ll be here for hours. We got a text that our car was “ready” at 7:00pm and as of now, 8:18pm, we’re still waiting for this car and there are a ton of people who got here before us that haven’t gotten theirs either. This place is where vacations go to die. How relaxing is it to wait outside on the curb near a highway while 1 guy paces back and forth across multiple counters to serve multiple people at once and still somehow no one gets served?
No evidence of any type of streamlined process. They haggle us on not being to use our own insurance even though, we are from Florida and NextCar is headquartered in Florida. The reps spent more time screaming at people to get out if they dont have a reservation than actually doing their job. We waited for over two hours. Tolls are not included in the contract. Avoid at all cost...if possible.
Poor service only has one person at the front desk checking in people and theres a full line and not enough staff to help! Waited an hour and half to pick up a reserved car. Just for them to tell me they cancel my reservation. I told them I called the moment I got off the plane in the airport to confirm my pick up. They did end up giving my car. Completely understaffed especially Mondays-Wednesday.By far one of the worse experience ever!!
This place is a scam. We booked through Expedia and our price including taxes and fees stated just under $600 for the week. We get there and it comes out to over $1200, and they made us buy car insurance when we already have it. Also made us buy toll coverage when we saw a total of 5 tolls the entire week.. Additionally we waited over 3 hours for a “clean” car that was still disgusting and had residue everywhere AND AN EMPTY TANK! Terrible customer service. They couldn’t even tell us what each fee was. Never renting here again. Happened to multiple other groups of people while we were picking up and dropping off the car.
I took it upon myself to write this review. I rented a car in Puerto Rico April 2021 through expedia. My main problem was they did not stick to the agreed price. It jumped from the booking price of 280 to 420. Then they try to force you to take ez pass for 10 dollars a day. I did not take the deal. Then when i called to add it, they told me they would charge me $20 a day to add it (true story). I took a 2 dollar toll in 2 days. This is probably the worse rental experience i have had. If you must rent a car from them, proceed with caution.
The 4 hour wait for the reservation was an amazing bonding experience. I met people that I suspect will be lifelong friends, as we had time to share nearly every details of our lives.
Do not rent a car from here, 4 to 5 hour wait. Staff are very rude and don’t explain why you have to pay $400 more of what the agreed booking cost. Understaffed. And the staff they have are very lazy and work very slow. They Even had the audacity to joke and play around with each other while a lot of customers waited for their rental. Not worth renting here, you will lose one whole day of your stay in Puerto Rico.
Absolutely horrible service. Waited for more than 2 hours after we had to be shuttled to the place (which was not included in details) and they were only doing one person at a time with one person at the counter. Had a full day of traveling and did not want to experience this, waiting outside in the humidity while they go as slow as they can. Do not recommend at all.

It’s been two hours for a car. Ridiculous. It doesn’t seem anyone is actually here. I’ve never had an experience this bad renting a car.
So not go to this place. We had an online reservation, showed up and there was 1 guy working 2 counters, with 2 other guys in an office in the back talking. It took ~50 minutes from the time we got there to walking out with a key. Took another 30 minutes to get the car. There were people waiting outside and inside. There was one guy getting the vehicles out back and you could see him and 2 other guys cleaning and servicing the vehicles as you needed them. Ridiculous.We rented a jeep and the dude was snapping photos of the damage as he handed up paperwork. We pointed out several items to him as well. Vehicle had less than 1/2 tank of gas; however paperwork said full tank. We took a picture to time stamp it, filled half way, and made sure we showed him the picture when we returned. Return was smooth, then again that was at 2am. Shuttle to back to airport was no problem and quick.Website says pickup from airport to San Juan area hotels for customers. Not sure what that means since they said they dont pick up from hotel for car rental. So unless you are coming to them from the airport then bank on getting a cab (or Uber). Overall, I would not rent from them unless I was in an absolute bind. Customer service sucked.
Do NOT rent here. Took 2.5 hrs to get our car (and from what I heard from others, it could be 4 hrs!) with a reservation bc they only have 1 person at the counter. Felt horrible for her but it’s insane. Pay more and use Enterprise or be ready to wait for a long time. See picture. $51/day ends up being $104/day
Waited 3 hrs for a car we had a reservation for and then wasnt told until we got there that we needed to pay an extra $200 for tolls. If youre traveling from out of country then you should just rent a car directly from the airport and rent it on a weekly base not per day.
This place is ridiculous. Be prepared to get charged for higher price if you book through a third party. Also be prepared to wait for at least one hour as they are just starting to clean your car when assigned. I’m writing this during the wait and it has been an hour. We had to ask them to stop cleaning the car cuz we are in a hurry. Do not rent from them.
DO NOT RENT FROM THIS BUSINESS - NEXTCAR PRICELESS CAR RENTAL!!!!ZERO STARS!They will never respond to your complaints no matter how many times you have called in. We returned our rental on time (early actually) but since they were short staffed (one worker at the counter and one worker outside to send off rentals and process returns) we had to wait for them to process checking in our car. Which conveniently for them was AFTER our return time so we had to pay for an extra day plus fees. The return worker said we needed to call in to their Accounting department since he cannot assist. USELESS all of them! We have called in several times weekly and still the same response (every time) of a ticket is put in and a supervisor should contact us via phone or email within 2-3 days. They never call back or even send an email. THIS BUSINESS IS A SCAM FOR TRAVELERS, JUST STAY AWAY!!!!!
Nonexistent customer service. Orbitz, Expedia, and others should drop this vendor immediately. Nonexistent car inventory, even when having a reservation. Bait and switch. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. If all others are out of inventory, take Uber. You will end up spending more money and time…hours and hours.
Wish I would have read the reviews. Steer clear of here. We had a 90 minute airline delay and They automatically cancelled my reservation 60 minutes after my specified arrival time. We ended up booking a car the next day (everyone else was sold out that night) from a different company and took an Uber to our hotel.

If I could leave 0 stars I would waited over 4 hours to get my rental. Only one person working inside the office, no manager on duty and it got so bad a mob almost formed outside with the frustration. Lost 1 whole day of vacation because of this irresponsible company! BEWARE DO NOT BOOK !!!!
I booked through Expedia and was blown away by the hidden fees when I tried to pick it up. They even charged an extra license fee for the car having a license plate!
Reserved a car weeks in advance and when we get their, we had to wait 2 hours for the car while people behind us in the line were leaving before us. They said they took so long because the car had to be washed but they gave the car to us like someone wiped a dirty rag all over it and with a bunch of unwiped wax. To top it all off our Ford Explorer had no brake pads and the brakes sounded like metal on metal. The only reason I didn’t exchange it is because I didn’t want to waste a whole day of my vacation there again. Go somewhere else
Worst experience ever!! If I could give 0 stars I would.I arrived in Puerto Rico yesterday and it started with a 2 hr line I stood in when going to NextCar (I was the fifth person in line). Then when I finally got to the counter the man who “helped” me notified me that my reservation was cancelled since I was not there on time. My reservation was at 3 and I had been standing in line since 1:30!!!! He said there was nothing he could do and rudely sent me on my way with nothing. Completely unprofessional, and no help at all! I’m blown away they even have a 2.0 rating.
Do not go here. You will waste an entire day getting your car. Staffs very rude and doesn’t care at all. Would give 0 stars

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! My reservation was at 1pm and I ended up leaving the place at 6pm! They made us wait outside in the heat for hours, they didnt have any type of organization to know who was there first or last, it was horrible. Your reservation will not be honor at this place and dont get me started on the hidden fees. If you think you are getting a deal let me tell you that you are NOT. I dont understand how they are still in business.
It took 5 hours to get a cad. They would not accept my insurance and every single car was damaged.
We book a car, $126 per day, for 2 days, end up paying 461 for two days because of the ridiculous extra charges, there’s a charge for EVERYTHING! Unreal. It’s not the first time I rent a car in Puerto Rico and I never saw so many charges in the regular rent a car companies
Do not rent vehicles at this location !!! ... its the worst ... its been 5 hours on Sunday and Im still waiting with a very angry crowd with the same problem even though the few employees are trying their best. this place should be THE LAST OPTION for renting !!
Not worth the hassle compared to renting from the couple of places that appeared to be right at the airport. Slow service, 2 employees work while another 4 chat and customers are waiting 20+ minutes.The price advertised doesnt include tolls which they claimed couldnt be paid in cash during COVID but it appeared otherwise on the roads themselves - the highways split into cash or express and dozens of cars paying in cash. But its an extra $10 to activate and $10/day to have the fast-pass thing installed no included in the advertised price.
Rented a death trap with tire below legal limit. Threds sticking out of the middle of the tire, bald spots all over in at least six places. Look at the pictures. I noticed the tire while in El Yunque, near the top... had to put on the spare. My family was in danger, and Nextcar is putting families in extreme danger renting cars like this.
We receive our rental car at 6pm and we notice on the paper work it said return the car back at 2pm we made the rental guy aware of this and he told us he would take care of it but we found out the manger refuse to change it when we return the car back.We called to speak to the manager twice and was told he was Unavailable to speak with us.We were charged for 3 days when we only had the car for 2 days because we brought it back at 430pm when we originally got the car at 6pm. RUN they are a waste of money and I think they did us like that because we are visitors. Bad Business GO to another Car Rental Place. They cars don’t run smooth like they should anyway. Shop around for better rental cars.

If you are looking for a sign to not rent here because of all the bad reviews please listen to this one because this place is terrible. The customer service here is really bad. You wait 2 hours to get your car and most of the time the car is in poor working condition. I paid for full coverage and autoexpresso which is basically an easy pass for the tolls. My days in Puerto Rico were chaotic because of this car rental company. Someone hit me on the highway in San Juan and I got charged $1k and had to dispute with Ramon, the guy with painted fingernails. He was very unhelpful and couldn’t explain why I got charged so much when I paid for full coverage. I ended up getting $550 back and had to fight for my security deposit because he kept avoiding me and helping other people which was rude. Luckily I brought my mom who’s a native Puerto Rican so they wouldn’t take advantage of me because I’m American and young. Beware of the drivers here. No one signals or practices safe driving on the highway, just stay away from cars and maintain speed and you’ll be fine. I have a theory that residents from the island will purposely bump you cuz they see the rental license plate and think you’re rich and try to cause an accident so they can try to get you to pay them out of fear. The next day I had to return the car because it broke down and it took them 2 hours to give me a new one. I had to skip out on going to Condado beach because it was already 3pm and the sun was slowly fading behind the clouds. Please don’t rent from this place. Reserve your car at the airport 2 months in advance

I do not normally leave reviews...The one gentleman who was helping inspect the car was really nice. That being said, the company finds anyway to up-charge you. We ended up spending $421 for 3 days and and 4 hours (they charge another day if its not exactly the time you picked it up, even when you tell them ahead of time). And that was a car that already had tons of scratches and bumps on it. The wait time can become frustrating considering flight times. I will not be using this company again -- was through Priceline. The company needs to restructure its billing, because its going to lose a lot of customers over time.
I was apprehensive after reading the many terrible reviews but I needed a car while in Puerto Rico. The uber and taxi services was not as reliable as needed.We were able to secure a car and pick it up on time. We paid $208 for three days, with a $250 deposit. We were able to charge the deposit to a debit card and it was returned two days after we returned the car. We will definitely rent a car from this company in the future.
DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT RENT A CAR HERE. They will steal your money and wont ever return any phone calls or emails. I returned a car with low gas and they charged 145$. It doesnt cost 145$ to fill a tank up. I attempted to get in contact with them to resolve this matter. And i never heard from them. I even called with the reps from the US and they never answered any emails or calls. Extremely unprofessional and expensive. Go somewhere else, dont give them your business. I had a 5am flight the day I left and called them to confirm the drop off time and they didnt answer. But when I got there they were all hanging out at the front desk, on their phones. Choose a different car rental agency. Id give them 0 stars if I could.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!!!!!!!If I could I would give this place a ZERO! This was my first time renting a car and it was honestly a very unpleasant experience. I wish I had read the reviews before doing business with them because it’s true what everyone else said. They overcharge you for unnecessary extra fees that you most likely won’t even end up using. I rented a car for two days on expedia and it said $181 included taxes and fees but was charged $548 (including deposit). It’s almost a month later and still no deposit returned. Not only this but the car we rented was INFESTED WITH ROACHES. When we called to see if we could get a discount because of this matter and they told us that it happens basically saying that it’s normal for roaches to be in the car like YUCK!! SMH this would be the first & last time I will rent a car from this place.PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND RENT SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! I can not express this enough!!
This car rental company is a scam in Puerto Rico. So disappointed and angry. They tell you while booking online that total includes fees and taxes, but when you get there, you pay all hiding fees even up to $150.00. In any case or any circumstances will I recommend this car rental company to even my enemies. If I have my ways, will rate them negative 1 start. They have a very poor customer service ethics as well. I asked for a manager and he tells me that hes on phone and never tried to get him involved. Never will I use them again.

Booked a 1 day rental to drive to El Yunque on Priceline for $128(Taxes and fees included). When I arrived it took about an hour to make it through the 4 customers ahead of me only to be informed that the ACTUAL price(??) was going to be more along the line of $275 plus the $250 deposit($525 total). After reading reviews of some customers stating that they still hadnt seen their deposits returned I promptly cancelled the reservation and took and Uber back to spend the day at Old San Juan. Avoid at all costs and dont let them bend you over.
When I tell you I have never had worse customer service, it would still be an understatement. We were dropped off at location, reservation confirmation in hand, to be told they only had a few cars and they were saving them for other customers. That was it. Nothing to help us at all. So we walked down to enterprise. DO NOT USE THIS CAR RENTAL LOCATION. SERIOUSLY.
