Nice people, nice techs, nice location, nice everything. But bad bad bad quality of work when it comes to gel x. I booked an appointment for gel x removal and a new set. The tech decided that it’s ok to do a refill instead so, I trusted their suggestions. There is so much differences between two side of the finger. poor apex building and bumpy nail. on one side it’s thick and the other side is spotless. Th top coat literally chipped off with my supposed design ( keep in mind i got it done 5 days ago).

Don’t come here. Got dip powder with tips and completely not worth the money. Dip powder and glue all over the cuticles and on my skin!! Got a gel pedicure and she cut the middle of my nail… Absolutely horrified by the nail job I spent $120 on.

I never write bad google reviews, but this place is very unprofessional. Went for gel pedicure removal, and the lady constantly complained about my designed nail art on my toe nails (probably tricky to remove). The result was horrible, my actual toe nails were damaged as well. Very disappointed. I would never recommend this place to other people.

I went for a pedi, the employee who did my nails was upset and rude for no obvious reason. She cut my toes in several places and got home to realize it was bleeding. I also feel sore as if someone manhandled my toes which never happened before. On top of it, she poured acetone over the cuts! I had to say “ouch” twice and tell her she was hurting me. As if this wasn’t enough, she asked me rudely to go wait there.. she went ahead and followed me while I was waiting for my nail polish to dry under the machine and asked me to “pay her now” all the customers were paying on their way out so it was so I felt singled out. She asked about the tip too, which I gave unhappily with the service. I know I won’t be back there again. But if you go there, make sure to ask about who’s doing your nails first and if they actually know how to use a clipper

My sister and I got pedicures here and had a really great experience. The polish lasted about 3 weeks, and the nail technicians were very friendly and professional. Would highly recommend this place for quality and location!!

I don’t know where to begin.I came to this place as my sister do her nails here. I made an appointment at the beggining of the week to get my nails done today at 4:00 PM. I arrived at 3:54 PM and I was told to wait that someone would be with me shortly. They sat me in the pedicure chair at 4:05 PM and after 30 minutes I asked the lady on the front it was going to take longer as I had an appointment and I was already waitng for 30 minutes with my feet in the water. The lady told me 10 more minutes and told me she will take care of taking my dip polish removed. While she was taking the dip polish off she was not even paying attention to what she was doing as she was looking at the door and she hurt me twice so I told her to stop. After that I told her I did not want to get my nails done as 40 minutes elapse and she sat 5 other people who came after me. Her excuse was “everyone had appointment” like it is my fault that they overbook appointments. They didn’t even take accountability for the delay not even a sorry came out of their mouth. The only person that apologized was Christine (she was doing my sister’s nails). She was the only one who looked worried about what happened.Honestly, worse service I’ve ever had

Great nails, do not last. This place has a wonderful atmosphere and the nail artists are very friendly and nice to be around. They check in during service to make sure everything is to your liking and I have loved both sets Ive received. HOWEVER, both times i have come here i wanted acrylic full sets. I have been getting full sets for years now and theyre supposed to last two weeks. The nails are pretty here but they DONT LAST. My first set, my first three nails already broke off. I work a very calm job as a barista, I am not lifting heavy things or doing anything to risky to my nails but even before the first week i already lost three nails. I thought it was because i didnt get gel so the second time, within that first week, I got my nails repaired and added a gel and color change, this time with a new artist. Again he was very attentive and did an excellent job but after FOUR days three nails already popped off and coming off. These are acrylic gel nails supposed to last two weeks yet within four days are coming off in masses. I went again after these nails came off to get them repaired and they charged me 12 dollars for them. I would understand that if i was working a high risk job or being reckless that my nails would come off and i would have to pay, even after a week. But it is ridiculous they charged me $12 for their mistakes, It was only four days and my gel acrylics already came off is their responsibility. I wanted to support this salon because they genuinely do a great job, but I am so disappointed. Especially since these nails are $60 acrylics theres no reason for them to be coming off so quickly. It is now a few days later after getting those first nails repaired from my second set and two more nails are gone and one of the freshly repaired one is coming off. I wish there was something that could be done and changed so future patrons arent wasting their money for three day full sets. I think this is a great place for any nail needs besides acrylic.

I received a dip manicure at Town nails and while I really liked the salon, the safety measures they took, and the selection of colors -- but I will not return for this same service. The dip manicure came out looking fine, but 5 days later almost all of the nails have chipped. This is an expensive service ($60), and I expect to get two weeks out of the service when the salon uses quality products. Hoping this salon will invest in higher quality products/brands, so the value is worth it.

Calvin (or Kalvin) did my nails and he was super professional and kind. He kept up conversation and was extremely friendly and made me feel welcome at the salon. He spent two hours on my nails without complaint, and completely blew away my expectations. Highly recommend this place.

The receptionist was quite rude and had an attitude towards me and my friends while trying to get service. The service is over priced for poor quality I received a gel manicure that chipped a week later that was 55 dollars and a regular full set was in return 65 dollars. The paint job was sloppy, the gel Nail polish was Terrible this was a last min option and will not be returning.

Made an appointment for a gel pedicure and he did an amazing job. I was in a rush and had left my phone and they saved it for me and i picked it up the next day. Overall, great service & GREAT staff. Not to mention the place is beautiful.

I always go to the location at 99 Charles St but this time went to 336 Newbury St as my friends gave me a voucher for my birthday. I am really dissapointed as when I go to 99 Charles my gel manicure always lasts at least 2 weeks and even 3 with no chips at all (and I do dishes, clean etc). I went on June 11th to 336 Newbury just before my vacation and I got chips in less than a week in 4-5 nails (without doing dishes or anything). Wont go back.I also did not appreciate at all the fact that when I was asked to leave a tip by Venmo, the person that had done my manicure went right away to get her phone to look how much I had left her and when she saw the amount she looked so badly at me and did not even say bye, just turned around and stormed off. Even if she expected a higher amount, it is a very unprofessional attitude that makes me not want to go there again.

Waited 45mins for a my first pedicure. As I was getting up to leave they said “don’t leave yet it’s your first pedicure”.Definitely not a solid first experience. Zero acknowledgment until I enquired about why I was not being serviced. Super awkward.

DIP NAIL REVIEW:My nails were done by nail tech Nina. She was very friendly to me and did a very clean job with my dip nails. It was a very pleasant experience chatting with her and getting dip nails for the first time. My nails feel strong and healthy, and look flawless and glossy. I love it!As for pricing, I have short nails, minimal shaping was done because I had pre-filed them into the shape I wanted and I used one color, the cost of service was $50. This was a bit more than I thought because my nails were short and already shaped but it was worth it because the job was done well and the customer service was great.Definitely thinking of going back and specifically asking for Nina! :)

I discovered this place 2 months ago after being in Boston for a year. I am very picky when it comes to my nails. I came to this place and Lily did my mani and pedi. This is my 4th time with her and I can just say that she is amazing. Everything that you are looking for in a mani/pedi service quick, neat, and perfect. After going to millions of places I can recommend this place and Lily with my eyes closed

Went here a month ago and had an AMAZING experience and I went back another time and the lady who did my nail this time didnt even get polish on my entire nail. Got home and found a hair from one of the brushes layered in the polish. Went back to get it fix and they were so unhelpful and didnt even fix it all. It hasnt even been a week and 3 of nails are chipping.

I used to love this salon but developed paronychia on a nail after dip treatment with a tip. It is very painful, the doctor thinks it was from excessive drilling and dirty tools. Won’t be going back again after this.

I asked for eyebrow threading and the woman did a wax that was too hot, fast, and completely unprofessional. I have a small burn and after she was done, she literally pushed my head forward off the sheet. What a mess. Never again and I hope no one ever goes through that again. HORRIBLE.

I hadn’t been back since March, so I made sure to treat myself to both the Ice Dancer Pedicure and a dip powder manicure. Upon arrival my temperature was checked, I was advised to wash my hands, and fill out a waiver. Masks were required and new plexi glass separators were added to the manicure stations. The entire environment was impeccably clean, safe, and welcoming. My nails are incredible, which doesn’t surprise me, but seeing the lengths they went to ensure a safe experience made the experience even more enjoyable. I will certainly be back in the future and highly recommend TNSS to anyone!

I’m very critical about my nails so I rarely venture to try new nail techs. I went here because the place I usually go to is all the way in Plymouth. This is hands down my favorite option if I cannot make the drive to Plymouth. To the average person this might seem far but no other place in MA has the color options or shaping skills I have seen from out there. I was please with my dip powder manicure. The technician did a great job with the application. I would have given him five stars but I wasn’t happy with the way my cuticles were done. I was not happy with the shaping at the nail bed/cuticle area. I thought it was too thick and it didn’t look the way I wanted. However the colors are so pretty most people don’t notice. So I would go back again but I will be using a different technician.

I found here which had four stars. In my opinion that is pretty good for a nail salon. It only took an hour for my nails when it usually takes 2 at any other salon. She was fantastic at everything. Will even educate me on whats best for my nails. Could not ask for a better manicure! Will continue to return every 2 weeks as long as I live in Boston.

Came in for Gel color change and decided to get a pedi to. I appreciate that they dont use a drill to remove old gel. Youve absolutely won my loyalty and. AND the price is affordable.

The worst nail salon experience of my life. If there was an option for 0 stars I would do it and it would be completely accurate.Worst customer service in the world even for customers who have APPOINTMENTS!They display nail polish that they do not have.They outright refuse to do paying customers nails because it would take too long.They refused to shorten the length of my nails saying that it was too late.I have been doing my nails for 15 years and I have never in my life been treated so poorly.I spent $50 for this salon that refused to do anything I requested for my nails such as length and color.I will never go here again even if I was paid. The employees treated me like a joke and Im appalled that this place even exists.Please do not give them anymore business.

Not a great experience here to say the least. If you want acrylics put on that are the quality of a pack of CVS fake nails, this place is for you!I had high hopes as I have come here for gel manicures and pedicures that were always pretty decent. But this time around, it was a mistake.I made an appointment and they sat me down and did my nails for a bit, ran around somewhere else, came back and did them for a bit and left again for 20 minutes. This is unacceptable for someone that made an appointment.I was simply getting a fill and gel and he ripped all of my acrylic nails off (led to me bleeding) and made me put a new set on, while making me wait in between, totaling my time there to almost two hours. Then, they made me put my nails under the fan to dry, and they had the heat on the fan instead of the cold which burnt my nails and skin. Great!The nails came out uneven and poorly done. To top it all of, my nails fell off within a few days of getting them. I go to other places where acrylics last 3/4 weeks no problem! I went back after a week and said they need to fix the three nails that fell off and they said they would charge me due to their nail policy of 3 days or less to come back for an issue. I get this for chipped manicures but for acrylics that are supposed to stay on for weeks, this is unacceptable. He finally gave in and let me get them done, rushing through again. 5 seconds before I wrote this my nail just fell off AGAIN. Do not go here for acrylics.

I went in on a Saturday and on a time crunch desperate to get my acryllic nails off (got them done somewhere else and they were just WAY too long and driving me crazy). I told the manager when I had to leave and he took me right away, removed the nails himself professionally but quickly (while still helping many other custumers) and got me out of there just in time to catch my bus for work. THANK YOU and I will be back!! This manager deserves an award!

They acrylic full set I received here was the worst full set I have ever gotten and then the woman is going to have the nerve to tell me “they are fine.” I want a refund I shouldn’t even have been respectful and paid. The service here is so marvelous. I came in to get the maintenance facial and it was by far the most relaxing experience I had getting a facial anywhere. The face and neck massage was A++. Afterwards my skin felt really smooth and soft too. Definitely a great place to get a facial done.

I have gotten gel manicures done here and I do not know why I keep coming back. They do not last for more than a couple days. Soon after getting them done my nails started chipping in less than a week later almost all my nails either have chips or cracks. Id recommend going elsewhere

This place is great. The staff does a thorough, quality job with mani pedis.

Usually I do review places unless it’s really good or really bad. My friend and I booked appointments (1 mani and 1 pedi). When we entered they didn’t seem to know we made a reservation at all. My color polish was in good shape, but my friend had to choose a 3rd option because the other were too clumpy. My pedi started with cold water and a broken arm rest. It seemed to me that many of the chairs and equipment was not replaced since opening. My technician did add hot water, but seemed annoyed I was even talking to her. My friend had the same issue with the water they put her hands in. My foot massage was good, but when she was cutting and filling my nails she didnt ask what shape I wanted and proceeded to make them really boxy which was not what I wanted. Next, after doing massage and cuticle care she proceeded to make my nails even more boxy. When she put the color on my nails she had to keep wiping the polish off my skin because it was not properly put on my nail. We found later in the end there are 2 town nails on Newbury, which is why there are two spots to review. Lastly, I asked for a design, but they took 10 min to get a new person to do it and charged me $6 for it when the sign said $3 and up. I’ve never paid more then $5 for a design. I read the review about transparency, but they seemed to not understand my questions about pricing.

I would not hesitate to return and would recommend them to anyone.

Money down the drain for me too. They said they could do SnS but she clearly didnt have a clue. First nail fell off that night and others quickly followed, cracking and flaking off. I have never had such an amateurish job done, ever.

I thought they did really good work but I have been there about 4 times. And each time something always went wrong. My nails always chip or the whole nails comes out. Or I get small cracks in my nails. They also get highly irritated if you do not give tip and one time the small old lady with wavy hair basically pressured me into giving tip and told me I can take out of the ATM. They are not very nice people except the girl that translate for them. One girl that did my nails had an attitude with me cause I wanted to make sure the color was right. Go somewhere else for your nails not here. Lasts literally 2 days and it looks bad.

My dip mani chipped after 4 days. I was there for 1.5 hours for a dip manicure. The man was rude, did not do the shape I wanted, had no idea what I was saying, cut me with the tools and in the end did a poor job. I will not be returning to Town.
