I have been going to Marlens Salon for about 15 years now. Tatiana is my go to for brows and Marlen for color and cut. They are amazing!! Everyone there is! Super friendly and helpful plus, Adriana makes some good coffee! Highly recommend Marlens Salon to everyone!

Marlene was wonderful, fit me in last minute, did an amazing job and the price for cut shampoo and blowout was so good I felt I had to ask her to charge me more!

Im giving it a 4 star they do a good job and I got the keratin treatment it came out good but the only problem I realize was that they dont care if your hair hurts or not....

Love this salon, the staff is super friendly and makes you feel right at home. One of the best hair wash experiences that I have ever had. I always leave loving the cut. The hairdresser are super nice to talk too. I have not tried their other services yet other than the hair care, but Im sure if it anything like that its great.

Got my haircut done there the other day. And I loved it. I never found someone in Boston that would do such an amazing job with my short hair. And the price! OMG the price was great. I will definitely cut my hair here again . Fun productive atmosphere too. My only complain is that they had me waiting even though I had an appointment. But the wait was worth it.

I walked in and asked for a polish change, and also asked the price. They told me I needed a manicure. I didnt want or need a manicure. I wanted a polish change and once again, asked the price. They told me that it was $10.00. Then I noticed the sign that indicated it was $8.00.When I brought it to the attention of the woman who I was dealing with,possibly the owner, she tried to tell me that it was $10.00 because my nail polish needed to be taken off. Really? Its was very obvious to me that GRINGAS are NOT WELCOME HERE! As the daughter of an immigrant, I love to see immigrants succeed in this country without discriminating.

I moved to Boston and didn’t know a place to get a haircut. They did a good job, were fast and cheap

I went to Marlen’s Salon to get a LONG layers haircut. The same haircut I usually get. I decided to try this salon because I recently moved and wanted a hair salon closer to where I live. BIG mistake. My hair was LONG and I told my hair dresser Tatiana that I only wanted a few inches taken off the bottom with long layers to add dimension to my straight hair (I also showed her a picture). Tatiana ended up cutting AT LEAST 6 inches off of my hair and the layers we choppy chunks of hair cut in uneven layers. I only noticed the layers when I got home and immediately went back to the salon. Tatiana told me it’s was because I was parting my hair differently (the exact way my hair parts naturally) and kept holding pieces of my hair up to show me they there “the same length”. Meanwhile I have extremely short (above my chin) layers on one side and NO layers on the other. She told me it was because I wanted later that it looked like that. I informed her this was not my first haircut and that I have had this exact cut several times and it never looked like that. I also told her I only wanted a little bit cut off the ends and it’s WAY too short. She said “too short for you”.... she did not take responsibility and told me to ask for something different the next time I get my hair cut. I ended up having to go rob the Delaria salon I. Davis Square Somerville where Ashley foxes the cut as best she could. At this point I had to cut more hair off and my 3 inch trim ended up with 8 inches cut off with my hair essentially in a chin length bob.. I do not believe Tatiana is properly trained to cut hair, she also had 3 clients going atttge same time, and my haircut and blow dry took no more than 10 minutes... I feel as though this salon is about quantity over quality and do not care what the client wants, they just cut what they feel like and then blame the client for THEIR mistake. I would advise AGAINST ever going to this salon, unless you want to end up with the worst haircut of your life and having to go oay somewhere else to fix it.!

Horrible service ...They only tend to help people of their nationality...Every time I go. Theyre. Always give me an escuse...Not to blow dry my hair..They say its too curly... Wow. Thats kind of being prejudice!? And if its not flat ironed they wont blow dry it... Really?!

I love this place, they are very kind and give you attention, is very clean and professional.

I got my hair cut here by the owner. Had to go back because she didnt do a good job with my bangs(I just wanted side bangs). Had to have her just cut them straight across and they still didnt look great. The layers she cut in my hair are several inches apart and made my haircut look messy and unkempt and--ironically--like I needed to get my hair cut. She was very nice and friendly but I will not be going back.

The staff and the owner are very friendly. I went to get a keratin and I think it is worth the money I paid. The person who made it for me did an excellent job. They use good quality products, they also remove eyebrows, do manicures and pedicures.After performing a chemical on the hair, they give you good recommendations to make it last and maintain your hair as it should.
