I will be loyal customer for life! Mark was very patient, responsive and helpful (to both me and my dad on our several emails/calls)! And Todd and Richard did an amazing job--they replaced broken gas pipe, repaired the ducts, did AC maintenance, and still made time to answer my questions patiently and were super kind to my dog, who is also now their fan as well! Very professional technicians, knowledgeable, quick to figuring out and fixing my problem. Called me back right away the next morning after I left a message the night before when they were closed. Plus they have the best customer service.

I talked to Mark around 4pm to give him info on the problem I had. He very kindly explained what he thought it was but assured regardless they’d get it fixed, and he had a tech scheduled for the following day at 2pm, which was wonderful!! Todd came not only on time but a little early! He was very respectful, kind, and knowledgeable. He showed me what he was doing and was very patient with my questions trying to learn! He even let my dog “help” and when he brought him a toy he played with him for a few minutes. He answered every single question I had, above and beyond what was needed. 100% will only use these guys moving forward. Prompt, considerate, kind, and efficient from start to finish. Southside H&AC was a great company to work with. Owner was responsive when I called on the weekend. Todd came to my house during the week and was very professional and timely in his work, describing the issues with my furnace. I would recommend them to others and would call them again if I need.

As Murphys Law goes, our A/C unit went out on the early stretch of a hot, humid set of MN summer days. Looking at the Google Reviews, I was glad to see this was a local business I could support who was rated highly for fairness, quality and overall value.I do like to DIY stuff from time to time, but no amount of YouTube tutorials would have come through for me like the expertise Todd our technician had. He was able to identify the issue quickly and explain the reasons for our issue. The fix was fast, thorough and professional (and no up-sells or pressure).I hope others put confidence in the Google Reviews like I did and have a similar experience. I moved into an older house and had an accident placing a new air filter. I called south side because the furnace had an old south side sticker on it. They walked me through how to fix it on the phone and saved me a call and deductible to a repairman. I don’t know how long it’s been since the services or sold this unit and they didn’t even ask! This kind of service And customer loyalty just doesn’t exist anymore and you have my gratitude thank you so much 🙏🏾

Scored a fan with work on my Laundry room remodel.I had a leak at the meter. Todd did an emergency meter repair. He came right over while Centerpoint gas was here. That saved me from having the meter tagged and shut-off. Then a few weeks later Mark and Todd came and relocated my gas line and swapped out my old, leaking valves.Good work, accurate quotes and above all nice men.

My furnace wasnt working when it was -25 out. I called Mark in the morning and he made time out of his busy day to get the proper parts that were needed and help me out to get things up and running again. Very good price and quick. Would highly suggest them.

Mark and the on-site workers did great work. We did a lower level remodel in which plans evolved a bit through the process. I would strongly recommend getting any change orders in writing. I waited a month after my initial email, questioning the price and never heard anything. When I emailed a second time, the owner did reply, but was defensive and did not offer any resolution.

Southside Heating installed our new air conditioner. They were friendly, honest, and prompt. I would definitely recommend them for help with your heating or air conditioning.*Update 6 month laterOur older furnace failed, called Southside before they opened in the morning. They called me back right away and offered to have someone there within an hour of them opening for the day. They sent someone out and repaired the furnace for a fair price and did not try to sell me anything that I did not need. I will continue to trust and recommend this business.

Great Service! Although I do not know very much about furnaces - let alone repairing them, Southside Heating & AC made me feel comfortable in choosing to hire them. Asked for tech to come out to add coolant to my system. Tech was at my house for 1/2 hour. Charges: $159.00 service call and $162.00 for 2 1/2 pounds of R410A @ $65.00 per pound. $321.00 Total. Expensive for such an easy service call. Checking around, I could have had the same service by others for $100 or less service call and $50.00 per pound for same refrigerant. Why such a premium price? I have no idea, but never again.Thanks for your response. However, as petty as this may seem, I would like to clarify that I was home and the tech rang the doorbell once. My house is not that large to hear it and I responded.As far as pricing, I just wanted others to see that they could get better pricing on a simple service call elsewhere.

This company refuses to do business in Minneapolis. I called to get an estimate on Air Conditioning installation in my home, and they told me they have decided not to business in the city of Minneapolis. I am flabbergasted. They said this was not due to an authorized dealer agreement or territory issue but it was a management decision for lots of reasons. They did not tell me that it was based on distance from their office nor was it a territory agreement based on a vendor. It is their preference not to work with Minneapolis.I told them I feel discriminated against - the salesman said I shouldnt feel that way. But why shouldnt I? They discriminated against me because of where I live.This is absurd.

Southside installed a new ac for my home, getting it sized right to help both the cooling and humidity. They also installed an on demand hot water heater. It let me find so much more room in my laundry room and I can take a shower now without having to adjust anything. Thank you Southside for making my home mine again.

I am very pleased to participate in this review of your company.My experience with you was absolutely fabulous.Our furnace stopped working and it was cold outside. The temp in the house was dropping rapidly.Your people were at our house just as we were beginning to put blankets over our knees in the living room.Turns out the two guys who came to repair our furnace were actually engineers who did not do service calls. But they said The repair guys are running late and when someone has lost heat, we treat it as an emergency.They had us up and running in short order. They were very nice, knowledgeable, well spoken, intelligent guys. And the cost of their labor was very reasonable.I have Southside Heating and Air Condtioning on my bulletin board. They are certainly the first I will call when I need help.Shirley Kallsen Bloomington

Over 7 hours after my initial call at 8am I was informed that they would be unable to fix my furnace that day. I had to make 5 total calls, 2 of which were never picked up. Apparently one of their technicians just doesnt answer his phone, and the other one who I did eventually get a call from was of no use other than confirming that my furnace was, in fact, broken, and that they would be unable to get out to fix it. I received no apology for the first techs complete lack of communication, and no apology for their inability to get the work done. This is completely unacceptable for a business.Ive used southside in the past, but after this experience NEVER again.
