I have been using Commercial Service for 10 years. I have used them for installation on new residential construction, HVAC repair on my rental properties, installing a new water heater, and repairing my furnace in my home. They always are very responsive, usually able to complete the repairs within 24 hours or less from the time I contact them. They are professional, knowledgeable, on time, provide good quality, and are trustworthy. Charlie, Grant and Nick are always a pleasure to work with, as are the technicians. Bradley was great, friendly, explained everything, very personable and knowledgeable. Due to the pandemic and not wanting strangers in the house, I hadn’t kept up on my maintenance contract (of the furnace that an incredible Commercial Services team put in a few years ago when they diagnosed a CO leak!), but Bradley took care of everything and put me back on schedule. Commercial Services also put in a new water heater SAME DAY within the week. They are always respectful, prompt, reasonably priced, generally outstanding.

Let me be clear the service was great, the technician was great and we had a good chat, so no problems whatsoever with the service. The reasoning for 3 stars is because I feel like I was not told accurate pricing over the phone when I was told how the billing worked. I was only told that the hourly rate was $106 roughly and that was it. The tech was supposed to arrive at 1 and he got there a few minutes prior so I also thank them on being very punctual but it only took him about 20-30min minutes to fix what was needed and to make sure the outside ac unit itself didn’t have any issues.It was just a blown fuse in the furnace so nothing crazy or time consuming. When we got to the billing I was told my total was roughly $150 which was more than an hours work so I asked why it was much higher than I anticipated. I was told on top of the hourly rate there is a diagnostic fee. So I paid roughly 100 fee for diagnosing the problem and a prorated amount for the service. Would be 5 stars if I had been told about the diagnostic fee over the phone!

I emailed them on Thursday night after realizing my AC wasn’t working asking if they could come out Friday, if possible. I received a call at 7:15 am and they told me they would be out between 8 am and 8:30 am. They arrived promptly and diagnosed the problem quickly (rodents got in my compressor and chewed thru wiring - damn rodents!!) and fixed the problem. I very much appreciated the responsiveness and quick results. Well done!!! Keep up the great work!!!

We had several plumbing issues including a very clogged kitchen sink. George and his helper, Bo were wonderful to work with. George went above and beyond to unclog the kitchen sink which involved him coming back with a longer snake. He wasnt supposed to come back until the end of the week but came back three days early when he had some time, at the end of the day, just so that we could have the use of the sink. They were kind, courteous, professional and very efficient. They wore masks, booties and gloves and they were also BOTH vaccinated against COVID-19. We really appreciate the service and would absolutely use them again.

Sean did an excellent job repairing the unit. He also responded to my text to let me know how the job was going. I would refer him out on more jobs like this, he proved to be a great technician.

Had a service technician come out to check into a loud noise coming from the air handler, and to install a new thermostat. The tech was polite and knowledgeable, and quickly identified the problem, installed a new thermostat (and cleaned up afterward!) and walked me through the operating instructions. Scheduling the visit was easy, and they are very responsive.

We purchased our heat and air from Commercial a few years ago and are very pleased with the system however more pleased with the service after the sale. Commercial has been doing our PM since and have made it so easy to set the appointments and great reminders help me to keep myself on track. I just signed up for a 2year contract and saved myself $40.

Commercial Services was great to work with. There were several plumbing issues with a recent house purchase. They addressed all of the issues in a timely and professional manner, including having to run new pipes under the home. They also checked the rest of the plumbing to ensure there were no additional issues yet to be discovered. This was a very challenging job on many levels. I cannot express enough how appreciative I am for their techs and the quality of work performed.

As usual Commercial Service was excellent. They installed a Mitsubishi heating and cooling unit in my new garage. The installer walked me through the operation of the remote and all of the options that are available on the function of the unit. Didnt leave until I was 100% confident with the unit operation. The unit works great. Typical Commercial Services always keep a clean and professional installation.

Commercial service did an amazing job replacing three toilets in my home that hadn’t been serviced in 30 years. When we bought the house this fall, toilet replacement was near the top of my list. When the one on the basement started leaking and I couldn’t even get the wax ring replaced because the bolts were rusted out, I knew I needed a professional. Commercial service was prompt, professional, helpful, and they were sure to check in and confirm on anything they had a question about. The work is always top-quality and their employees are friendly and knowledgeable. While I likely could have had this repair done more cheaply, commercial service stands behind their work and I have peace of mind knowing it was done by qualified professionals.

After a $400 emergency repair to our furnace on New Year’s Day, we were expecting a quick and easy maintenance appt. today. It did not work out that way. A major problem was discovered with our heat pump. We have always been fond of Commercial Service, but how we feel about Commercial Service in future will depend to a great degree on what plan “Joe” comes up with for us.

Commercial services has done everything from full installations of HVAC to minor repairs. They’re always open and honest, easy going, on time, and they do work that lasts. Had to have my 20 yr old water heater replaced for me because my health prevented me from doing it myself. They arrived between within the timeframe they scheduled and the young man who installed my water called to let me know that he was on his way along with the time he should arrive. My water heater was a bit of a pain to remove, but he had it done within a reasonable amount of time. It is good to have a reliable water heater again!

Commercial installed a new high efficiency heat pump yesterday. The crew was on time, very professional, covid-responsible, clean, conscientious and so very competent! When they left, we were all certain that all the functions were working correctly. They even fixed some items that had been installed incorrectly by the group who originally installed the old system.Joe, my point of contact in Bloomington, was able to help me select a system that is more energy efficient, qualifying for some rebates and tax credits. He was also able expedite the delivery and install for us, when our old system stopped completely.Our home has NEVER held correct temperatures like it is doing now!!!

We realized that we had a water leak when our H2O bill increased for several months. We called Commercial Services, they came as soon as they could, and were able to reschedule the day so the repair was finished in a few hours. They also put our furnace and AC in 2 yrs ago. Good, conscientious, dependable work!

Service man diagnosed the problem. Need a part that was not available on Christmas Day. Will have to wait for part availability to finish repair.

A quick look at our heating fan was necessary after putting in an AC unit this summer. They came out the next day and fixed it no charge.

I called Commercial Services around 8 am and got scheduled for them to come out between 12-2 pm, but I got a call around 9 am from George saying he was nearby and could be over in 10 min. He came and took care of the blockage in our sewage pump and cleaned from the work in just over an hour. The price was very reasonable. George was friendly, kind and professional. It was such a relief to have such an awful inconvenience taken care of so quickly. I will definitely be calling CS with all our plumbing needs and I’ve already recommended their services to two friends. Highly satisfied!!

The plumber was very friendly and helpful. He went to work right away and was very focused on fixing our problem. He continued brainstorming and investigating. I have a service contract with Commercial Service that is worth its weight in gold. The seasonal maintenance keeps my old unit running rather efficiently. They are always on time, quick, and clean.

Fast and good.

Came to do semiannual service and diagnose and fix an issue with system (wasn’t working) in condo. They showed up Friday morning and did service and I didn’t get any fees back of issues, etc. The only thing I received was a text asking me to review their recent service. The next day (Saturday in heat of summer)I show up at unit and circuit breakers off and unit not functioning even when circuit breaker reset. I called service line and got answering service and subsequent call from technician on call. He told me what issue was and they were “coming up with a solution”. He relayed a message to his boss whom he said would read the message and call me that day to discuss. It is now 3 days later and no call from anyone in their company. Poor and unacceptable service. Have worked with them for more than 5 years. Very disappointing, especially with even hotter weather on the immediate horizon.
