We had them finish out our basement radiant floor system, the crew showed up on time, they were friendly and professional. They left the area cleaner than they found it and the system is awesome. They even made our plumbing more efficient with a better draining system. I feel the picture below of the system shows off their level of pride in their work (Disregard my cable nightmare to the left please).And the price was very reasonable, with the efficiency I’m seeing already, the system will pay for itself within the next couple years.

Best company to install Solar Panels!! We added 26 solar panels to our home and wanted to go local when purchasing solar panels. When I did the research, most of the solar companies were located in Ohio. Andy Hardisty also owns Simanton Mechanical and that is how we originally knew him from his HVAC work, but when he told us he had started installing solar panels we knew there was no other installer we wanted to use. Andy came out several times to find out where the best placement for solar panels would be. Usually they are on the south side of a house, but because our neighbors have huge trees that shade over our south side roof; the better location was on the east and west side of the home. He came out with his mechanical device on several occasions to see how the sun hit the roof to make sure that we would get the best performance from our solar panels. A lot of the solar companies provide panels that are like Christmas tree lights so that if one panel goes out, all of them do. Andy uses Enphase solar panels which have microinverters so each panel is a stand alone system. If one fails, it doesnt wipe out all the other panels. The enphase box is the size of a modem and is not a big clunky box that mounts on the exterior of the home. Andy placed ours in our laundry room and we can monitor energy production daily on our cell phone. Andy is also able to monitor our panels through his account and can see if there are any problems. Andy had a great crew of three do the work and he would supervise them. One of the installers was a roofer and we had gotten a new roof 4 years ago and were concerned that there might be some roofing problems after the installation of the solar panels, but there werent. It took about 2 days to install all 26 panels and they did a fantastic job! Our neighbors got solar panels installed too and their panels are mounted crookedly. I also question if that placement is the most beneficial for sun energy. We are so thrilled with our new solar panels, and his price was cheaper than other companies located in OH. Once again...super excellent quality work done by Andy and his team! They didnt leave a mess and cleaned up after themselves. If we were to move...there would be no other company to install solar panels for us than with Ecofriendly Mechanical.

Excellent work! The did all of the heating and cooling in our new build. They installed radiant floor heating in our basement which we LOVE! The owner is extremely knowledgeable and easy to work with. They really think out the entire process for optimal efficiency before they start cutting holes and installing things. They communicated everything very closely with us. We are a bit O.C.D and were extremely happy to see how clean they were. They were the only contractors we worked with that picked up everything when they were done with their job. The way they ran the vents, tubes, pipes, etc were very organized and clean. We only wish we could have also afforded to have them install their solar power panels on our roof!

A good company with some serious faults. If you want treated best with the company you go straight to the top. Andy is really the only one looking out for his business because Pam and others arent. Diagnosed correctly, but due to bad salesman, and pushy receptionist. I cannot give 5 stars. Final work was great, and Andy is a great and responsible owner. To bad hes the only one that wants to do it right.UPDATE: After much thought, I cannot change my stars, because the things that went wrong. HOWEVER, I will continue to give them GLOWING recommendations, and tell people about the final results! I DO RECOMMEND THESE GUYS AND HAVE USED THEM AGAIN TO ADD ON A DEHUMIDIFIER TO MY SYSTEM.

I had contact with the owner, Andy Hardisty, who also did and supervised the work. It was a pleasure the entire time. Andy is very communicative and was happy to answer all my questions and discuss all the options. He installed a whole-house dehumidifier made by a company that he had not used before; not only did he do it without complaints, but he did it with praise! He was very prompt at every step and made excellent choices.

After several major home improvements over the last 18 months involving contractors, Im very happy to say that Andy Hardisty and his crew were by far the best to deal with. Im an engineer with an electronics background, and I had numerous technical questions for Andy when going through our solar estimate. He knows his stuff, and when he doesnt, he studies up and reports back quickly. Perhaps even more importantly, we were frantically trying to find solar installers that could get the work done by Dec 31, 2017 so as to guarantee 30 years of net metering, and Andy was the only one out of about 10 companies we contacted that worked us in, and was done by mid-November. Cant say enough good things about him and his instillation crew!

I just cannot say enough good things about ecofriendly mechanical. Andy, the owner has been quite professional, and his ability to attract and retain quality professionals in his business are a tribute to his leadership. We brought them in as follow-on to Simontons prior business at our home. Theyve been out to our home several times, first to replace an old furnace, then to convert a dryer to propane (which they did even though this was not something they normally do). This year we had our entire remaining HVAC systems replaced: compressors, wiring, supply lines...to make sure we have a great working system. Wayman came out initially and was quite professional in taking measurements on the broken ac, even attempted some interim coolants to tide us over. He was quick in getting the estimate and arranging the repairs. Now, our HVAC systems are complicated in that we have a changeover boiler unit. Thats where Andys specialized expertise played a major role, in sorting out the many unusual mechanical and related connections in our complex system. Jason has always been great as a technician-always professional and diligent, and knows how to get the job done. Larry has also assisted in repairs on our big conversion, and did great work. I was extremely pleased with EcoFriendly Mechanicals recent work at our house. I have long used Ecofriendly Mechanical (when it was still Simanton) to service my HVAC at both my old and new house. In March, I asked Ecofriendly to problem solve an issue we were having with flooding in vents in our cement subflooring, In the end, Ecofriendly recommended three different options with three different pricepoints. We ultimately went with the middle tier solution - a ventless multizone energy efficient heat pump that allows us to heat and cool three different rooms in the basement independently. By removing that floor from our upstairs traditional forced air HVAC with compressor system, we were able to eliminate the floor vents completely, and we are now able to more finely control the temperature on both floors. We are also excited about the savings we will have on our heating and cooling bills. The owner, Andy, and his crew were extremely accommodating and friendly, showed up when they said they would and did an excellent job covering and moving furniture and cleaning up after the work was done. He also went above and beyond by coming on the weekend to set up a dehumidifier free of charge to help us with the initial water issue. Thank you!

Recently had new high efficiency AC, gas furnace, humidifier, and tankless water heater installed. Could not be more pleased with the product, installation, and quality/professionalism of the Simanton/Eco-Friendly crew. This was not an easy installation due to the finished basement and the way the electric heat pump that was being replaced had been installed. The Simanton installers were very courteous, professional, and diligent.Andy had to give some serious thought to how to install the new system and new natural gas line from the meter due to obstacles he had to work with. In the end the installation went as planned with completion earlier than predicted. And all at a price better than other estimates we had.

Ive been using Simanton Mechanicals services since the 70s and theyve always been great. They give really good HVAC advice and have serviced and repaired nearly all my home units.

They were great! Heres why: I called Simonton because I had heard good things about them from a friend who is a contractor in town and then I heard a radio ad of theirs as I was driving home. Id just had a serviceperson from another business tell me that I needed a new air conditioner and I wanted a second opinion. A serviceman named Mason from Simonton took a look and found some issues that the earlier repair person had completely missed and came up with a different diagnosis than a new air conditioner. While I know Ill have to buy a new air conditioner someday I appreciate the time, attention, courtesy and expertise Mason and Simonton exhibited.
