The technician who came to fix our fridge was very nice and knowledgeable, however it was scheduling through Sears Home Services themselves that was a nightmare.Long story short, they had re-scheduled on us FOUR times and we were without a working fridge for a full month plus. The customer service department was nearly impossible to communicate with and was extremely rude. They hung up on us multiple times and quite frankly are hard to understand because they lack proper English speaking skills.We will no longer be using Sears for our appliances.

My experience was HORRIBLE. A repairman came to fix my washer and told me that wed have to order a new part for the motor. Two weeks later, the part arrived and a different repairman came. He fixed the problem without using the part. Within the next week or so, TWO MORE PARTS ARRIVED! I called Customer Service FIVE TIMES, with 20-30 minute waits each time and we made dates for someone to come by and pick up the parts. NO ONE EVER CAME! I still have these parts and dont know what to do with them!!!

Abysmal service. They came and diagnosed and ordered parts. Couldnt come back to install for 2 weeks. Then they rescheduled our appointment to the following day. Then they sent a 3rd party with the wrong work instructions so nothing was done. Now I LITERALLY cant get them to answer the 800 number to try to reschedule. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE TO REPAIR YOUR APPLIANCE.

My dryer quit heating. Booked Sears repair online, for a 4 hour window on a day that worked best for me. I was able to check when the technician would arrive and have him call me to meet him at the house while I was at work. He arrived within the 4 hour window and fixed my dryer in less than 30 minutes. He offered a couple of options/discounts for me. Very happy with this service.

Did not have good communication with repair person at all - plus i found it strange that there was a different person each time - so much seemed to be too corporate and made me feel like Sears was just throwing the next available person my way.i thought that the repairs were overpriced - but the consumer doesnt have a choice - i knowi felt the labor charged was overpriced - but as a consumer with a difficult to replace item - i didnt have much of a choice -the repair person called me on the phone twice - however i was unable to take the call - a good clear message was left - but when i returned the call - i left a message and did not hear back from the repair person - presumably because the remaining charge was paid - ( by my renter )I would have preferred to discuss the remaining charge with the repair person myself -and i left a message with my phone number indicating this muchif i could do it over again - i would have made a greater attempt to find another way to fix my dryer - and i would not recommend others use Sears - nor would i use Sears in the future.

Scheduling our appointment for washing machine repair online was very easy. We did have to wait about 2 weeks until they had an opening, but we were given a 4 hour window of time for our appointment day that was narrowed to a 2 hour window the day of the appointment. Our service tech, Eric called when he was 15 minutes away and arrived promptly within the time frame. He was very friendly and polite, and had the problem diagnosed and a quote written up quickly. Since he had the part with him that was needed, we opted to have him fix it that which he got done quick. We were very happy with the customer service and our machine is back in working order!

Second try! first he shut the door, #1 appeared in panel, water started to fill machine - then opened/closed door/soap drawer and pushed buttons...? said it seems fine now... then when leaving he asked to use the bathroom - only svc person Ive ever had that asked that! I said no .. and directed him to two close stations. Is there not some gizmo that electronically tells if something wrong with the control panel??? I dont think he knew anymore about digital than I do - and thats not much! A wasted service call as far as Im concerned and do not want him back!

This is horrible. We paid $680.00 to have our refrigerator repaired and 10+ days later their automated system calls us and tells us to call in and reschedule. I call in and they tell me that they dont know when the parts will be available and to just wait for a call. Meanwhile we are living out of coolers with daily ice runs to the convenience stores. Dont buy LG and dont buy from Sears .

The repair technician came out to repair the sink disposal. I was thankful he didnt have to replace it. He was able to fix it on site and only charge me for the service call. He was very courteous and knew exactly where to look to resolve the problem. I highly recommend Sears.

The repair man came and was very nice, but Ive since had other folks look at my washer and its apparent he wasnt interested in fixing the washing machine noise, but was more interested in having me buy a new one. This was obvious when he said he didnt know what was causing the noise, but still quoted me a repair price that was just under the price of a new washing machine.Not impressed with the result, but the person himself was very professional and nice.

First, the technician was very nice - so my review isnt based on him, but more so your policies. My refrigerator has broken so many times over the past 1.5 years, and yet you wont replace it, despite us having the extended warranty and getting our fridge serviced annually based on your recommendations. Weve had it serviced 7-10 times in the past year, and wait for weeks upon weeks to get it serviced each time. We had one of your technicians out 3.5 weeks ago, he said nothing was wrong, and yet we had to call back and get another technician out when it fully broke and ruined hundreds of dollars of food - this has happened over 5 times now!!! Youve replaced the mother board SEVERAL times, and it continues to break - we just furnished our entire house with Kenmore Elite products, and have purchased several products for our 2 rental properties, and it feels as if you could care less about us as customers. Youve ruined my breast milk, organic food, and honestly severed our feelings towards your company. I feel completely violated by your policies and youve put my family at health risks with your lack of replacing our refrigerator which CLEARLY needs to be replaced. We spent a lot of money on this appliance, and have only had it for a few years. Im pregnant, and my child daycares out of our home - we need a reliable refrigerator, and you have yet to do whats right for your customer in this situation. Youve also cost your company more money putting a band-aide on a broken leg vs just replacing a faulty product in the first place. Im appalled by your lack of compassion for what is clearly a quality control issue with the products you sell.

The follow through with customer service is horrible and after two repair visits, my freezer still doesnt work!!! I recently had a technician come to repair the freezer in my refrigerator. The repair person arrived within the service time window and got the job done efficiently. This was the second repair visit for this problem because a part needed to be ordered. The first time, the repair person was running behind and the repair time window had to be extended two hours. I had only taken 1/2 day off of work so I had to take an additional half day off. Sears said that they would send me a $30 gift certificate for the inconvenience. This never arrived. When I inquired about it with customer service, I was told that I would be set up with a Sears point program and I would be awarded points equivalent to $30 to spend at Sears. I set up the account but the points never arrived. Although the person who answered the phone at customer service was courteous, she could find no record of these offers and couldnt figure out what to do. With this aside, my freezer still doesnt work! Now I have to take more time off of work and hope it gets fixed this time around.

The earliest appointment I could get was a week out.When the repairman came, he didnt have the parts. He ordered them and made another appointment, again a week out.When he came again, only some of the parts had arrived. (I called Sears to warn them about this, but the voicemail system disconnected me twice.) He made another appointment, again a week out.The remaining parts arrived, and the repairman returned and fixed the problem. The quality of work was fine, but Im not happy about the fact that it took two trips and three weeks. And the voicemail system is pretty frustrating.

This was one of the service calls that turned out right. Admittedly it wasnt a difficult repair, but the service technician was able to complete the job quickly and efficiently. It started with the technician being right on time so I didnt have to wait half the morning. He quickly diagnosed the problem and had a replacement part in his truck. Thankfully it was a small component part, (starter switch,) which was easy to install. The whole service call took 30 minutes. Two weeks later my refrigerator is still running so I would say I am satisfied with the work. The only drawback, was having to wait 7-8 days to get someone to come out and do the work. I seldom give the highest rating to anything because that would indicate there was no room for improvement, so take the four stars as high praise.

The diagnosis of the problem and the service, once completed, was done fine. I was not happy, however, that I had to reschedule my service appointment twice. The first time because the technician was busy with other appointments that day. The second reschedule happened after he showed up and found the problem, but then said he didnt have time to fix it because he had to move on to other appointments that day. So finally, on the third appointment (spanning 7 days), they actually fixed it. So, the timely handling of my service call was really lacking in this experience. The repair itself met expectations.

Repair man came, very friendly, was happy we received the same repair person for previous issue with our stove. The control panel had went out, had a F-10 flashing on the stove control panel so we couldnt use the oven. The wrong part was ordered by the representative over the phone. We where lucky that our repairman had the part our stove needed in his vehicle. We didnt have to wait to order another part for the stove control panel. Thanks!

I explained when I made the appointment that I had two wall unit air conditioners that needed to be clean out due to having the popcorn ceilings removed in my condo. The coils where covered with the stuff . The technician arrived looked at the one in the living room and said oh, I cant do that one its a two person job. I am 51 and he wasnt much taller then me so I could see how he couldnt do that one, but since, most wall units are high why is this technician doing this job? The bedroom one is under the window so he said, he could do that one. He cleans off the front coils. Then tells me all the coils are covered and it needs to come out and have all the coils cleaned. I said, okay I know they can be cleaned in the garage. He then told me he didnt do that and did I want to schedule another appointment for the other one. I said for what you cant do what needs to be done. Then he said okay thats $139.00.

This was our yearly check for our refrigerator. Second year of a 5 year program. Technician checked the refrigerator temperature controls but did not vacuum the compressor which is supposed to be done yearly. He said it was tight fit for the refrigerator. When we had the technician out last year he vacuumed the compressor and checked the refrigerator temperatures, etc. If this service is supposed to be performed every year, why dont your technicians do it?

I called Sears about a terrible smell in our refrigerator. We had taken everything out and scrubbed the inside but the smell remained. I called Sears and Jeff came out last Friday. He couldnt find any reason for the smell and admitted it was bad. He cleaned and vacuumed the coils and suggested I get a citrus spray to use inside. I did that several times with the fridge empty plus wiping it out with a mild bleach. The smell is still there. The refrigerator is only a little over 2 years old. Its almost more disappointing to not find out what was wrong than to hear nothing was causing it. The service man was fine; we are just not sure where to go from here.

Usually get great service from Sears on repairs, but this time I was very disappointed. Our refrigerator needed a new motor, and a new hinge. the serviceman was able to fix these with no problem, but while doing these repairs he broke our handle to the freezer door. If he would have fixed it or told me he had broken it and that he would fix it, I would have been fine with it happening. However, he just left the handle broken and parts on the floor for me to try and figure out what to do. I normally really appreciate the service at Sears. But this was a huge disappointment.

Terrible service under the Protection agreement that we purchased at the time we bought the Kenmore washer at Sears. Our washer is 3 years old and all rusted in all the inside parts like motor, bearings, shaft. He could not repair it withe new parts because he could not remove the rusted parts. Then he could not get it back together with old parts cause he damaged them while trying to remove them! So I am without a washer until more parts get delivered in a week!! You would think they could put a rush on parts and service, what are we paying for??

Worst service ever, they cancelled our first appointment which im not even sure how you schedule it and then cancel as a business, that in itself is ridiculous, the call center agents were alright minus the fact the first one said hed have all the parts to fix it the first time and that theyre almost impossible to understand half the time, it took about a month to get the glass fixed in the door... and cost about 500$, also paid a technician that had no special skills in puutting an oven door on, i could have done it myself with just the part after seeing the process... wont make that mistake twice

Completely Unsatisfactory. Encouraged to spend $273 so repair man could come out. First apt Sears cancelled because repairman was ill. Delayed 3 days, when repairman showed up, asked if he had been sick, no. (Of course in a large metro area such as ours, Sears has several repairmen. )Told ( in middle of heat wave) need to check it for a week, recommendation that we spend $700 more $ on repair, 10-year warranty will be up July 12. I wasnt home for the repair, but the serviceman was very nice to my father-in-law, who is not from here and doesnt speak very much English. Also, it was perhaps the coldest day of the year, and he was out in our garage for over an hour working on our snow blower. He resolved the problem, went above and beyond what was expected, and gave us valuable information for avoiding the problem in the future.

My technician was awesome! Very knowledgeable, patient and willing to explain. The problem was after the initial visit. A part needed to be ordered so we rescheduled. I took 4 hours off of work for their 4 hour window and nobody showed. I called and was informed “a technician had not been assigned”. Not apologetic, no attempt to make this right. Only option was to reschedule. I was upset due to lost wages, but okay things happen. After this, I was on top of it. I rescheduled and called the night before. I was assured by customer service that a technician would be assigned. I called at the beginning of the 4 hour time window- again assured that a technician would be assigned. I called a 3rd time to make sure that they called me on my phone- I had just learned this morning that my apartment buzzer didn’t work. I told customer service this and was informed that this wouldn’t matter as the technician would call me anyways. I call a 4th time at the end of my time window. I was told a technician had come an hour and a half ago and NO ONE WAS HOME. I received no calls- had my phone next to me all day. I demand to speak to a supervisor as this is now 8 hours of lost wages. Customer service said “the supervisor is just going to tell you the same thing I said”. I insisted. The supervisor could not have cared less. She repeated an obvious staple phase, offered no other option but to reschedule for another day. I demand a refund (I pre-paid—don’t do that!!). She refuses. Says my only option is to reschedule. Unapologetic, no attempt to make things right. I can’t take another 4 hours off of work. She informs me there is no way to request to be first appointment in the day or a smaller time frame even given the circumstances. No other option but to take another 4 hours off. Refused numerous requests for refund (minus part cost obviously) although they did not provide the services as agreed upon at time of payment. Sears has cost me 12 hours in lost wages in the past week. And they couldn’t have cared less. I strongly suggest you find a different company.

It came in the mail well before the appt.I was very pleased that it was the same technician that came back for the repair. That lends trust and confidence. He was a very cordial man, and I enjoyed his company for the short visit. He was able to do his repair and we were able to continue with what we were doing without interference.I think he is an excellent employee and you are lucky to have him. I paid $120 for a service call only to find out Sears doesnt work on built in refrigerators. The tech adjusted a fan and called it good. He also indicated the coils werent needing cleaning. His repair fixed nothing. I ended up having a second company come out to clean the coils and all is good now. Shouldnt a service fee be associated with a service actually provided?

I am so disappointed in the repair service I have received on my washer dryer. Today is Feb. 11, the first appt was Feb. 2, said they couldnt repair without parts, ok. They order the part, it comes in, the repairman comes out on Feb. 6, said he cant repair it, need more parts, but would be back on Monday, Feb. 8, between 8-5, ok. Monday comes and goes, no word from Sears. I call them on Tuesday, they tell me, parts were just ordered on Monday, not sure when they are coming, scheduled another appointment for another week out. We have been without the ability to wash/dry clothes. I pay lots of money for the maintenance agreement and dont feel this is worth it. Very very disappointed. Will not buy from Sears again.
