The apartment complex will get one star due to the requirement of making a review. I wish I could rate it with a negative star review. I am currently a resident. The conditions, professionalism, and management have severely deteriorated over the last 5 years. Reasons not to move here:1)There is always trash in the breezeway of the apartment buildings from the tenants.2) Management and maintenance do not enforce upkeep of exterior.3)Water is turned off several times during the week due to “broken pipes”.4) The amenities listed are null and void.5)The rent is always increased without the improvement of quality apartment standards.6)The staff is incompetent due to lack of communication.7) It took them eight months to fix my a/c after making several maintenance request and legal assistance. 8)Management is never on site and always unavailable. When they are available, useless is an excellent term.9)There are constant issues with the management company.10) Do not think you are going to reach corporate for a complaint, there is no response or availability.11) Contour Management is the owner and far worse than any in the last five years.12) People who live in subsidized housing are treated better.

Emergency water repairs. No water in the entire complex. Water has been off for a week now. Every time we call the offices they promise the issue will be resolved that day.

I was interested in leasing but the reviews had me hesitant. I went to the property to view it and asked some tenants in the parking lot if they liked living there. I was told it was ghetto and I cant wait to move. I saw a lot of reviews on the water being off. I tried contacting the office for a week but it kept going to an automated system referencing the water being off...so they proved this to be true that this actually happens like the reviews said. It was also mentioned that they dont answer the phone, which is true. One dumpster had trash everywhere outside of the dumpster, abandoned broken down vehicles in the parking lot bringing the area down. The apartment complex is too big and the further in the back you go, the more it loses its appeal. On my tour that apartment model was lovely and I received a good assistance from the leasing consultant. The office staff werent rude and assisted me with all my questions and concerns.Is this apartment my number one choice? No.Is it so horrible looking that no one should live there? NoIve seen and heard people living in horrible conditions and these apartments dont seem as bad ghetto apartments Ive come across.But I will pay more elsewhere to have running water and a staff that answers the phone.

Do not live here. The front office might actually be run by 1 or possibly a group of toddlers. Everything will break and mightttt get fixed.. in a month.. or 6. Absolutely LOVE the “remodeling” that’s been done.Excuse me, I meant sloppy paint job over a dilapidated exterior. Throw in a roach infestation that you’ll pay for out of pocket instead of waiting on management for any solution and you’re set!

Update: Rent has increased. I now have mold and water damage (with a baby in the apartment)Ive been here for almost a year. I am so happy my lease is almost up. The office employees are rude and unprofessional. Maintenance is invisible. It took them 3-4 months to fix my air. 6 months to fix my stove. Now I have no hot water and its taking forever per usual. Paying $930 a month you wouldnt think youd have problems. I honestly wish I could give them less than a star. Definitely not recommended.

Terrible, horrid apartments. RAT AND ROACH INFESTED. Rude and negligent office staff! Their lack of urgency is comical. Do not sign a lease with them. No matter how low the prices may seem. These raggedy apartments with the raggedy management staff should be free!! Even if they were free I still wouldn’t love or or recommend anyone to live here. I would give ZERO stars if I could. Never answer the phone, never return phone call, have legal issues to discuss and can’t get any info on the false info they presented to the courts. Was served court papers after they had already had a hearing.

No return calls, no emergency service, which means they do not call you back. Garbage everywhere, you want something fixed forget about it! Without water, without hot water you know what forget about it.

Update!I still havent received any help. My A/C is still not work and the breaker continues to turn off my hot water heater. My lease ended on April 30th. I was set to move to a new apartment on May 8th. I was told from the office rep that I was suppose to give them a 60 day notice of me moving even with my lease being up. I will be charged for the two months of May and June. If I didnt pay I will be sued. Please read the lease contract before you sign. In the lease it states that the A/C is not an emergency and they can pretty much evict whenever. The rent goes up $50 every renewal. I will literally give them a 0 of I could. It takes me a long time to get mad. I have tried to work with them and to no avail, I get no help. I am truly disappointed that a establishment will run over people in not fixing issues. I havent missed a payment, but it doesnt matter here I guess.

A very poor place to live nothing positive about living here.the people that own this property are slumlords.We actually paid our bills on time and when we left they charged us $3000 in back rent. Please look somewhere else do not believe the cheap rent prices. People living there have protested the poor living conditions at this place.

I’ve literally live here a week, The apartment was not complete when I moved in, they were supposed to send someone the following Monday but that has not happened. I have. No heat or air and I have a 4 year old son. I’ve never lived in a place like this. I love the apartment but the fact nothing has been done and I just moved in is so ridiculous

Been out here 4 months now and i love it, only problem was my dishwasher, it wouldn’t work. I called up maintenance and 3 days they came and replaced it.

I get mad every time I drive onto the property.It’s been three months and no one has come to fix my A/C. I’ve left reviews. Called, left messages. Visited the office had the property manager tell me to reach out to them..DID but there was NEVER a response.I spend more money eating out because who wants to cook to make the temp go up in the unit? I’ve spent money on extra fans..I’m running fans 24/7 so imagine my power bill. Now we’re in the thick of summer with heat indexes in the triple digits. This is ridiculous, I had a friend to move in about a month ago his air went out yesterday so I’m interested to see how long it takes them to repair his.Please please save your coins.This is the worst apartment experience I’ve ever had.

Very poor business the complex need a whole new management, it has been 90 degrees out and a lot of people have no air, the water line is not together so no water and there is no lighting it looks so suspicious out you don’t want to leave out your house at night & by frankly don’t feel safe somewhere you SUPPOSE to call home. 1 out of 4 stars do not do this place any justice more like -4 !!

As a former resident, I do not recommend anyone to move in in those apartments. Management does not do what they are supposed to do. Apartments fell into disrepair. If you need something fixed, they prioritize tasks according to tenants health issues. They required a photograph of RX bottles in order to justify getting repairs done sooner. It is inappropriate to ask for personal health verification in order to get things fixed. Air conditioning did not work for 2 and a half week despite being prioritized. Dishwasher not work for many months. Front door deadbolt would not lock and I was afraid someone would break in. I had to beg them to send someone because I did not feel safe. I was a good tenant, paid my rent on time and followed rules but I had enough of this mess and had to get out of there.

PLEASE DONT MOVE HERE THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE I HAVE A BAD WATER LEAK COMING FROM MY APARTMENT AND THEY ARE GIVING ME THE RUN AROUND ABOUT FIXING IT. Plus on top of that I have kids and my air is been off

I don’t care how bad you need somewhere to stay don’t go here. It was my biggest mistake. I pay $870 for no hot water & a messed dish washer they were supposed to replace before I moved in that is filled with dirt, rust & sewage waste. I still have repairs that haven’t been fixed before I moved in. I took pictures too. You might as well stay in the projects because that’s literally what it’s like living here. They don’t care about your living situations as long as they get their money.

This apartment complex has amazing management. Customer service has definitely been improved since my last time I was here. I definitely recommend coming to live in the area. Ananda was the best help. Thank you for great positive customer service.

I have been at this complex for 1 year. I have not been in my apartment for two weeks because there is no air. I have visited the office and talked to several people (including the manager) and still nothing. My sink in the kitchen is leaking to point where I can’t run any water, the tenant above me washer and dryer has leaked til my roof is falling in, and I have been dealing with rats since moving in. In addition, Ive been dealing with my stove that doesnt cut off AT ALL. Also, after only two weeks of being in my apartment, my place was broken into. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE especially if you have kids.Theres no way to contact the office an send my notice to leave this complex because I am 2 hours away. Do anyone know an email address?

I have lived hear a number of year rent on time the whole nine yards this property has been sold so many time all with different rules my rent increased now I am paying more than the new tenants are paying Its hard to get help when you need it the only way that we know that the property had been sold was from other tenants or a piece of paper stuck in your door I am on a fix income but they still made me pay a higher rent they try a fix it up like they are giving you a discount they bump your base up an then fix it up nice to make themselves look good like you are stupid my rent jump up after being hear a number of years I dont think its fair to drop a bomb on you like that ! Our hot water has been out for almost a week now and the responses from the office have been unacceptable. They have lied to us about what is happening and no one has come out to repair the water heater. They expect their rent on time but constantly fail to meet the necessary needs of their tenants. The unprofessionalism of the office staff is even more frustrating. They do not empathize with us and pretty much blame us for the issue. This is the third time the hot water has been out this year but this is the longest it has remained off. There are locks on the water meter which leads me to believe the bill has not been paid. I asked the office staff and they confirmed this was the case. I definitely do not recommend these apartments. I will be leaving as soon as I can find somewhere else to live.

To whom it may concern:I just recently signed my lease and payed the park at Callington almost 4,000 in rent because I paid for the next 5 months. I just recently moved in on June 12. You guys changed my apartment the day of me moving in, had me running around back and forth to the leasing office for my key then on top of that the air isn’t working and it is currently 90 degrees in my apartment and when I went the the rent office the lady who sits to the right that handles the keys and apartments told me “well there are a lot of people’s A/C going out so...” if I had knew that I would be treated like this I WOULD NOT have signed the lease and CERTAINLY would have kept my money. If you all knew that y’all were having air issues that should have been expressed to me instead of taking my money.

This place is horrific!! Since day one Ive had nothing but problems! But the past two weeks has really cause me to step out of character... My apartment unit has been without air for the past two weeks and has yet to be repaired. I have a two month old baby and I work from home, so just imagen trying to work with fussy baby in a 80 degree apartment and its 90+ degrees out side! I have been reporting this problem for two weeks and nothing has happen! I hate it here and regret the day I sign the least I wouldnt recommend NO ONE to ever more here!!

It will be 3 years in June that I have been living here. For about a month now, I have been having a problem with mice. I have killed a total of 7 as of today. This mess started the week before Christmas, and it took maintenance two weeks from that to actually come seal the holes that the mice may be coming from. As of today, I am still seeing and killing mice. I have called several times for them to call pest control and I have complained several times and no one seems to really care. I have tried to talk to the property manager, she never called me back and I have also called cooperate and no one has called me back. I am paying a total of $730 for rent. That’s is too much that I am paying to be going through this. So no, I would not recommend no one to stay here unless they get new management that actually cares about their residents. I am to the point now of thinking about breaking my lease. This week makes a month of me going through this!

Terrible, Unprofessional, irresponsibleMy experience here was terrible. I was a good tenant and took care of my place, but the management and property owners DO NOT CARE! I moved out 2 months ago and havent recieved my deposit back which i was promised a month ago. They basically told me I would need to take it up with corporate and that it wasnt there problem. This is my very first apartment. I’ve been here for 2 years now and by far it’s the worst. My balcony door has been shattered for three months and no one has a care in the world to fix it. I haven’t had pest control since the first time I’ve moved in here. Management is very poor; I’ve been trying to contact them for the longest regarding my balcony door. I’ve been to the office and still no one seems to care about our concerns or safety living here. My rent has went up 50$ now I am paying $745 and was not aware of that because someone put me on a month to month lease which I had to redo for two months because it wasn’t corrected until two months ago. Please do not move here very poor management and maintenance ‼️

Slumlords!!!! I have family living in these wretched apartments. They have not had air conditioning in 3 weeks and no hot water going on 2 months now. You cannot put a maintenance ticket online or pay rent online. They unplug the phone when they leave for the day. No maintenance phone # at all. The leasing office is locked most of the time. My family went in person and the apartment rep wrote out a work order to fix the a/c in front of them. Now they said they have no record. They told us 20+ residents have no a/c and they are waiting for parts from China. Meanwhile we are paying full price rent with NO A/C and NO hot water and NO ETA of when anything will be fixed. And yes we have contacted them numerous times.

Unsafe living conditions because of rat infestation! I have spoken with Constance in the Maintenance office 8x about the infestation and spoken with the leasing office 2x. I’ve been told they would look into but received no further communication.An exterminator has come out 3x to treat my apartment and I still have mice to this day! My neighbors have expressed that they have mice too. Common sense tells me treating one apartment In an infested building will not help! Obviously the whole building needs to be treated.I have never in my life lived in these kind of conditions! I would advise anyone considering living here not to! Especially if you have small children due to health risk! My next door neighbor literally called the health department.The leasing office leadership and representatives are extremely unprofessional. They seemed highly irritated that I even mentioned the infestation to them. I literally have never seen a leasing office this bad!In addition the air conditioning units here go out frequently. I was without air for about a month this summer. They only have 4 maintenance men working on 1200 apts so they are gravely understaffed.

I lived there less than a year and it was trouble from the very beginning. The main issue I had was maintenance. I once had a leak from the ceiling in my bathroom, I contacted on call maintenance who informed me it wasnt an emergency. Mind you water was running like a faucet and I had to use my dirty clothes basket and mop bucket to catch water. The next day I was told by a maintenance worker that the upstairs apartment toilet overflowed, so there I was with toilet water leaking in my apartment and no one thought it was important to come check. There were a few issues with letters placed on my door for late rent after only occupying the apartment less than a month. But the final issue was it. This is when I realized they didnt care! I would itch uncontrollably and had bumps all over my legs, back, and arms. I knew something was wrong, so I sought out medical attention and had pictures to show the doctor how bad it was. She prescribed medication and performed a biopsy. Later that night while in bed I was woke up feeling like something was crawling on me. Im sure you have guessed it by now I had bed bugs crawling/biting on me. I immediately called maintenance, but they didnt answer. I spent that night getting rid of my bedding and anything I thought was effected. Once I talked with the rent office, they did seem to care, but said they couldnt do anything only maintenance. I spent the next few days trying to get them to come out, but no one did. Since they were no help, I contacted the health department who confirmed it was bed bugs and they informed me I was not the first to complain about this matter. Finally after several attempts to have them come out to cover my things as recommended by the health department. I had enough and went in to get what I could save. I emailed Justin Brown (manager) and told him I wanted to be let out of my lease and why. He agreed and let me out of the lease. I had to stay in a hotel or with friends because I had no place to go. Once I moved out I never had this issue again. Now fast forward two years later, theyre reporting to my credit as a debt being owed to them and I dont think its fair! I had to move out due to their lack of care! Im pretty sure the money spent on the hotel, my doctors visit, replacing my bed/bedding, clothes and medication cost more than the debt they claim I owe! Id love to talk to someone from the complex. Long story short do your research before making a decision.

I been at this apartment for at least nine months. The previous apartment managers had no care in the world. The supervisor that was there she helped me better than the agents with an issue in my apartment. The new ones are slapping letters on doors almost everyday demanding payment and threatening evictions in 7 days of notice. We are considered late after the fifth after that 100 late fee, which Im cool with that. The problem is we have letters on our doors on 2nd or 3rd for the two months theyre here saying pay within 7 days of this notice or suffer legal issues and another letter within one or two days later. I know Im late with mines, but I had graduation fees, prom dress to get, and tuition cost for my daughters. I never been late except this one time and they cant wait til next Friday for payment. I love being here. I have 13 co workers that stay over here with me, like they are family to me. Its quiet and very convenient to my job, which is a 10 min drive. I dont know what will happen but I will try my best to never be late again.

The worst place to stay!!!!!If I was able to leave a score of zero for this apartment complex I would do so. The individuals in the leasing office are very unprofessional including Cherryl D., the property manager and Constance, the maintenance manger. To start off my first issue was my roof. I had a leak in my roof, I called maintenance to repair. The office states to give them at least 72hours. It took over 2 weeks for my roof to be properly fixed. This happened because after a week and a half I had to call corporate. My second complaint are the roaches. My entire building had been infested with roaches due to one nasty neighbor allowing his apartment yo get out of hand. Myself and my neighbors complained of this issue. You pay for pest control but have to call and put yourself on a list in order for your apartment to be sprayed. Which is a joke because my camera in my home caught on numerous accounts the pest man come in and only spray at the door. This behavior was also reported by my other neighbors. However, it took over 2 months for them to fix the issue. My next issue is the breezeway and flood light . My light was finally fixed after 2 weeks and when I went to find the maintenance man that was suppose to fix the light. His excuse for taking so long was that management had prioritized them to get new units move in ready before they fixed anything for the old units. A week before and during the time my light was broken the vacant apartment across from mine was being left unlocked. One night I came home late and the door was physically opened. I went to the leasing and was wold they were having this problem around the apartment complex from the maintenance guys leaving the door unlocked. Finally after numerous times of going to the office the door was locked.I understand this is a lengthy review, but DO NOT!!! I REPEAT DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! They are using the upgraded apartments as a scam to get you into a lease. They make up rules that are not in the lease to accommodate them at the time and the headache is not worth the cheap price!!!!

Since moving here in early October 2016, my experience has been good. Office staff and maintenance staff have been attentive to a couple of issues Ive had. Some of the washers and dryers do not work, or do not work properly, and at least one tenant regularly takes his dog to do its business on the lawn in front of the building (I personally do not believe large dogs should be allowed to be here at all). Nevertheless, my experience has been generally good.

I am one month from the end of my lease... old property management was terrible.. So is the new property management.. I dont know my monthly payment down to the cent... So I called before I paid.. No one EVER answered the phone. I called multiple times at different times, different days of the week, to ask for EXACT dollar amount of my rent payment this month.. (they no longer accept web payments, which the total rent payment was displayed on.) I pay my rent FAITHFULLY, ON TIME, EVERY MONTH.. I got a notice as of today, that is an eviction notice saying my information would be turned over to an attorney.. (Might I add, they leave unnecessary notices quite often, which is SO ANNOYING). So I could have possibly over paid on rent.. There we three mice in my apartment in the span of a week.. My house is clean! The stupid part is I had to kill them myself since pest control sucks.. But just because theyre building new decks and painting and bricking the outside of the buildings rent would go up by about $200 if I resigned.. Not including the water bill.. Which would be $135 alone.. I would have discussed this privately with management... But you guys NEVER ANSWERED THE PHONE.. 2 words... NEVER AGAIN.

I was told by management that I could break my lease early due to an issue with my apartment. However; I still got charged everything that this manager told me was waived. Now, this has been posted to my credit and has put a hindrance on me relocating. I do not live in Alabama and cannot come to the office. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Getting in touch with The Park at Callington office staff has ALWAYS been an issue. Please be aware that they DO NOT keep their promises!

Currently in the process for sueing this terrible place . People I really hope you read the reviews before purchase. They wont answer my question to buy out my lease its a constant me trying to get to them. I am beyond tired of this place . I have a 3 family stay about me while Im in a 1 bedroom and they jump and play all night.my owned car was stolen from my front door Ive have rats continued roaches beg constantly to get apt sprayed had to stop the man after leaving another apt to spray mine . If there are any tenant that will like legal action as well please comment and I will contact my case is nice and I want everyone voice heard. I message Justin Brown and still havent had a response a month later. They will not get far how they are doing people.YES they are very nice when it come to becoming a New tenant but my 1st day in the apt I experience roaches and 1 month later there where rats they had to fill 4 holes in the apt the air conditioner link on the carpet and leave a smell the toilet constantly runs they turn the water off without warning the pools are never OPEN but display 3 pools . This is not the place you want to be the only reason the are remodeling because of the MULTIPLE fires

I truly love my apartment. The outside could use some attention. The repair work of the apartment could have been better but so far I like living here. The walls and ceiling are papered thin but I have just dealt with it. The utilities are included except for the power. The website is down alot. Moved in when it was cold. Waiting to see how neighborhood is not that its warmer of kids and pets.

I would like to update my review. The general manager contacted us and was very helpful in resolving our issues, even offering future solutions if we have further issues with our unit. She was kind and cared about what was going on . The over all staff on property are generally nice people and do what they can to help. I would like to say the accountant Kelly is one to avoid, she was rude and lacked any compassion for our situation. Over all happy with how our problems were resolved .

This complex may not be the best in Birmingham however if you are looking for a cute, clean, & safe place that has water and cable included in your rent then this is the place. I personally haven’t had any complaints however, you may need to constantly remind maintenance but they will eventually come. Overall I like it here.

I am only giving one star because there are no lower options. But one star is really far too generous. I suspect this complex is actually an ongoing joke or experiment as to how poorly a business can be mismanaged and yet somehow still operate. Your AC will go out in the middle of the summer and the maintenance and management will not make any attempt to fix it until you threaten to involve the health department. Unfortunately the staff here is incompetent at best. The apartments themselves are decent but be prepared for roach and beetle infestations. All urgent requests will be dealt with in 1-2 months if at all. They also mismanage money and I have been told my rent is behind due to their errors. You better keep your receipts if you move here because your money will disappear. Of course paying your rent is basically thievery since they dont provide anything on their end. STAY AWAY. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE unless you want to have ongoing issues that will never be resolved.

The management & maintenance department at this property is HORRIBLE. I regret chosing this apartment complex for my son to experience while attending college. I have been reporting a BROKEN shower head for three weeks and its still not repaired. We definitely will be moving VERY soon & reccomend you do not rent here!!

With deep sorrow in my heart and with a severe emotional and psychological trauma, I am writing this review of my experience today at the management office when I went to complain about a work order I placed 2 weeks ago that was not done. It deeply saddens me to write that I faced the worst discrimination I have ever faced in my life today at the Park at Callington management office.I was at the office to complain about my sliding door blinds which were damaged during the apartment renovation last year leaving me with no privacy in my apartment. I was treated in the worst inhumane manner I have ever been treated in my entire life.When I got to the apartment office today, I met a new staff at the door and told her what I came for which were my faulty blinds and informed her I had been here 2 weeks prior to place the work order. The staff did not really seem to understand what I was saying so I decided to go in the office hall to see the staff that took down my complaint the 2 weeks prior. As I was about going in, one of the staff just rudely told me that I couldnt see the staff I saw 2 weeks prior that I have to see the person at the door. I tried explaining to her that the person at the door could not understand me that I would like to see the staff I saw prior, but she would not even allow me to talk but shouted me down straight away and ordered me to leave the office immediately, otherwise she would have to call the police on me.It took me to my greatest surprise of the statement calling the police on me because I tried seeing a staff that could better understand me. I initially thought it was a joke until she kept on repeating it, that she would call the police on me. I kept on asking her what have I done wrong to warrant you saying you would call the police on me by trying to lodge my complaint to someone who could better understand me. I am yet to recover of all the shock and trauma I experienced by a staff threathening me with the police just to place a work order. I have never experienced such humiliating, discriminating, and traumatizing experience in my life. It was and is still a very difficult one for me to comprehend.I have never lived in an apartment with such callous and inhumane staff who threathens their tenant when they have come to complain about an uncondusive issue in their apartment. I have never made trouble with anyone and have never been in any problem with the law, for someone to be threathening to call the police on me when I have done nothing wrong but to exercise my right as a tenant to come complain about an issue in an apartment where I duly pay my rent and has never been late on any has caused me a lot of emotional and psychological pain and anguish.I have never in my life written a bad review about someone but this I sadly have to do due to the psychological and emotional trauma I am experiencing right now. It was a terrible experience I had today that will linger with me for a very long time. It is terribly devastating.I have never been traumatized this magnitude post my encounter with someone but this is too much for me to bear. I spoke with some few people after this bizarre encounter, and was told the new staff members employed by the new management, Contour properties are very inhumane and treat people in a very impolite manner. Also seeing the reviews of others online about their experiences at the apartment management office, I knew I had to write this terrible Me too experience.I write this review with great sorrow in my heart that something should please be done with the new staffs at the Park at Callington.

The management is terrible. One of the buildings burned down so a few other units including mine was infested with rat and they made all the effort they could to resolve the issue but we are still having issues. They have onsite laundry however have to get a pay card to use the machines which is fine but in order to get money on your pay card you have to go to the maintenance building that is only open from 8-5 and closed on weekends so if you work in between those and time and can’t get over there you will be out of luck. You can put in servers maintenance requests and they will never come unless you go to the office and complain or track down a maintenance worker. No one has time for that.

Ive been here for 2 years now. Have never had a late payment. My renewal papers were lost, got a letter threatening action. There was a problem with the system. Another threatening letter. Decided to take a vacation from work for my birthday and came back to a rent due paper dated for 12/2/19. I paid on 12/2/19. Rent is due by the 5th to not have a late fee. It was great to come home to this (sarcasm). This has happened many times. I have been late to work multiple times so I could go to the office for clarification on these unnecessary letters only to be told Im fine and the letter was a fluke (Because the phone is never answered). This has happened many times under the new management. Will I get the lost time at work back?...no.) I moved here from Summerchase at Riverchase. Never had this issue there. This is getting old here.How about contacting people AFTER the actual due date? Maybe not threaten the homes of your residents? These letters arent being delivered on time. Those of us that pay on time are being afraid of coming home to a letter threatening legal action when we are current.Other than that, my stay has been fine.

My sister has been living at this complex for 6 months and her a/c has not been working for 4 months every time she complains about it the managers and staff are being very rude and very dismissive DO NOT MOVE HERE it’s not worth the money or time...they don’t even answer the phones

I have been trying to rent an apartment from these people for two months!! The job I have requires you to call a number or go to a website to verify my income. The leasing agent I had did not do it correctly as I told him to and it never could get verified so I was denied for his mistake. I was also denied for having student loans. Thats just like saying oh we dont accept people trying to get a $100,000/year paying job. I told them when I had to move out of my apartment (July 31st...yesterday) and they strung me along the entire time. I was literally denied ON THE AFTERNOON OF JULY 31st because a job I have pay me in cash. I spoke with one of the agents/managers and she told me that was perfectly fine as long as my boss wrote me a letter verifying my employment. The leasing agent I had told me I would get accepted land that clearly was a lie. Went to look at other complexes and they all had negative things to say about this place. Worse group of management to deal with.

This place is awful. Do not move here. I cant wait until my lease is up.

If I could give them a negative review, I most definitely would. We lived there for a year, and about twice a month the water would be shut off. They said it was because pipes would bust or they would need to work on the water lines... these things don’t just happen every month. The water would be shut off for anywhere between 7-16 hours out of the day. Most of the time the office wouldn’t even email the residents to let us know. I have even had the water randomly shut off in the middle of my shower. They say they have pest control, but our apartment was infiltrated by German cockroaches and no one ever seemed to care to fix it. So we took matters into our own hands and sprayed Raid everyday to fight them off. The employees inside of the office are absolutely rude and don’t post your payments on time and say you owe a late fee (even when it gets paid on the 1st and they have signed and dated your money order). They care more about their landscape in front of the main office than they do their residents.

You ll got emplyees who cant do their job right from the start. I been here 3 months and I got to go back and pay fees that I tried to avoid. Each month i go in and make sure I have the right amount on my money order before I drop it in the drop box. How can you blame a resident for an employee mistake. Made customer service.

They let anyone live here, whether they are employed or not. There are drug deals around my apartment building in broad daylight. People stomping around all hours of the night. Hoodlums steal clothes out of other peoples dryers. If you enjoy peace of mind, being around respectful people, and having maintenance actually do their job, look ANYWHERE but here.

Sure the price is great but remember you get what you pay for! Be expected to witness murders,if you’re a girl to be be assaulted by men (I have photos and a police report to prove it), hear loud music at all hours,have the dumpster filled to the top and smell the entire complex,never have the pool open even though you pay for it,have huge bugs and roaches crawling anywhere and everywhere,have leaks in your home,air conditioner never work,maintenance negligence,and rude managers.but yes the price is great!

This place is horrible. The apartment they show you doesnt even be your apartment. The apartment Ive got looks nothing like the apartment that was shown to me. It only been a week since Ive moved here. My oven is wobbling. My a/c is not working. The water pressure is extremely low. The hot water doesnt get hot. Roaches in my apartment already. Lord whats next ? Office staff keep giving me the run around. Anybody somebody care to fix these simple things. I shouldnt be having any problems. Now Im stuck in this lease.

I’ve only been here ONE month and this is by far the WORST experience EVER!!!! Never ever have a seen a apartment complex ran so poorly!!!! The paint was peeling off my tub they redid it without me signing any papers! Then me and my TWO Small kids had to find somewhere to stay! IM GETTING a lawyer and getting OUT this lease ASAP!!! Rent is way too high for this BULL that’s happening!!!!

I have enjoyed living here since I moved here in August. The office staff is very pleasant. I would refer anyone to live here.

Piss poor management. As a community manager myself, I cant believe this place is still operating. They loose your rent every month, has poor communications skills and bad attitudes. The managers will not give you a contact number for corporate, they are horrible. Please run as far as possible.

I personally dont suggest anyone to move here! I totally regret it. Management is horrible, you try to get in touch with the general manager Josh hes never available nor does he returns phone calls after youve left numerous messages. The accountant SHERRY HOWARD or whatever she is shes unprofessional, rude, and unhelpful. All she does is dishes out smart remarks. Maintenace is horrible dont fix things AT ALL. Even when they come they leave your doors UNLOCKED. There infested with MICE and ROACHES, the pest control is no help. When I first moved in my apartment wasnt ready so I got switch to a different one ON MY MOVE IN DAY. The foundation of the apartment was literally falling. I was supposed to be on a special where it was $300 off first months rent which I was told by Susan. She claims she mixed up the information about that so I couldnt get the special. Water is always off for repairs NEVER GET NOTIFIED. These are just horrible & its not a good place to lay your head at all. If I wouldve known they were like this I wouldnt have ever gave the employees a dime of my money nor invested my time into theyre unprofessional asses nor moved here!!!!!!

This was my first apartment and I can say that the experience has been overwhelming. I have had a shooting happen twice in front of my apartment, both in the middle of the night while I was sleeping. I keep my apartment clean to the fullest, but there are roaches out of this world in my apartment, in every room possible. I have no problem with maintenance coming out but the roaches I feel will never go away but they have been coming out faithfully to spray but still doesnt help, I never had a problem with maintenance...I dont have a problem with noise but I can say I have experienced one of the most trumatizing scenes which caused me to not stay at my apartment for almost a week now(its not the staff fault on that part) i wont be going back to stay,....I have a couple more months left until my lease is up and Im moving, Ive already signed my 60day notice, packing early and paying what rent I will owe later ahead of time. I liked my lil apartment just the problems I mentioned at the beginning of this comment. The whole apartment complex needs a turn over.

This is not a bad environment however the services is . I have had no problems with neighbors or other residence. Although maintenance does not care about your needs. Ive been calling about why my mailbox havent been fixed yet for 3 in a half months now. I was told that Nate had fixed it but I went to see if it was and it wasnt. The only thing needs to be done is putting the door back on . Its so crazy how I never even gotten a mailbox key for this apartment since we moved from the burned unit. I waited a whole month not calling and when I do its still the same problem. All of my mail is being returned to the sender because of they mis-hap. I just want a mailbox and my key. If it takes this for me to get what I need I will be doing this more often. Then I called because the lady who always answering maintenance phone said she was gone call back and never didt. And tell me why she didnt answer ? Lack of service and respect .....

I just want to say that I met several very capable People who helped me lease an apartment at The Park At Callington. From the Tour to the signing of the lease, they were kind, patient, helpful and professional. Especially Miss Ebonie. She was always warm and friendly with a smile and a helping hand. If I could give this place less than one star I would. These apartments are absolutely horrible!! They are filled with roaches and MICE. They send pest control out but NOTHING changes. They’re trying to do renovations to cover up the real problems. Let’s not even start on the multiple shootouts they’ve had over here. Avoid this place at ALL cost.

I am two months away from my renewal date and this has been a horrible experience for me. I live alone with my 4 month old child while my spouse is away on duties and I have had an huge ant problem in just my closet, (which I still dont even understand how that happens), have rain leak spots on my ceilings, the list goes on & on! I have had to spend money on hotel rooms due to one of my neighbors shooting inside of their apartment & the recent shooting in the field across from me where the kids play! Contacting the staff is hard when you cant make it to the office on time, no on responds to e-mails or answer phone calls. I definitely wouldnt recommend staying here, its not safe!

These apartments look so pretty when you pull into the complex! I went yesterday to look for an apartment and within an hour I had looked at the apartment I was interested in. I also filled out my application and I was given a walk through of the costs, etc. I’m not sure what the woman’s name who helped me was bc I had a chaotic day yesterday (not influenced by this apartment complex) so I was just ready to sign my lease! Everyone there is so friendly and welcoming in the office, they made the process so easy! Also, I was honestly worried about these apartments because of reviews I’ve seen before. BUT, once I went there and realized the balconies/patios are being redone and rooms are being renovated (next month all should be renovated I was told). Which made me feel better after reading some of the reviews! I was also reassured when we were going to look at the apartment I wanted, because on the way if there was anything that caught your eye, like trash being in front of an apartment door or someone having an eaten apple in there windowsill (yes this really happened), she took pictures and sent it to her supervisor who then called the tenants and asked them to take care of whatever the issue was. All though this apartment building does have some bad reviews I can’t honestly say at this point in time I have nothing bad to say about this apartment complex! I’m going today to pick up my keys and do a walkthrough of my apartment with the woman who is helping me to make sure everything Is up to my standards. I will definitely post an update after I’ve been living here for a few months! I’ve also seen reviews about payments and not knowing what they have to pay but you have to go to the office and they will give you the exact amount. Also, if you have any amount left they will call you and let you know so you don’t get a pile up of bills! (The woman i was touring with said they called everyone in the complex who owed anything! Even if they had to pay $4 just to them know what they needed to pay and there was a line the next day of people paying whatever they had to. So that being said, it’s hard for me to believe that they don’t make you aware of what you owe and when).P.S. I went back today and finally learned the woman helping me and making everything such an easy process is named Jasmine. So if you want someone who is going to make sure everything is perfect for you and your apartment ask for her!

Ive lived here for 5 years and love my lil Studio. Im old enough to basically know to stay to myself and away from trouble but sometimes trouble just comes to you, no matter what you do. I know I cant keep a grill without someone else stealing it. I cant afford another one so I dont have to worry about it anymore. Other than that, Nobody bothers me and I dont bother them. When I do pass by someone, theyre always nice.

I moved into this apartment about 2 weeks ago and it has been pure hell since I moved in. Almost everyone in the leasing office except Susan have messed up attitudes. I walked into my apartment on move day and dried up urine was on the toilet seat meaning that either maintenance did it or did not properly clean my apartment before move in date. I was without hot water for an entire week causing me to have to boil water for me and my 2month old baby to bathe. The first day in my apartment the shower rod fell and hit me in the face. Huge ant infestation caused by someone in maintenance leaving old cake now my apartment has ants everywhere(walls, wood, etc.) This is unacceptable being that I have a 2 month old baby. I moved in on a special and was promised that I would receive a gift card as a move in special by the 6 or 7th of January yet I still havent received it and whenever I ask about it its like no one really cares of the fact that they didnt keep their word they just put it on corporate. My leasing agent told me that the shelf in my kitchen and the hallway door would be fixed by my move in day and when I asked her about it she got upset and said that it wasnt fixed because 9 other residence was also moving in. THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ME. They lie to get you into the apartments basically. I also moved into the apartment with many other problems and on move in date was giving a list by my leasing agent to mark all of the problems within my unit. Until this day no one has stopped by to fix any of those problems. Minus all of the issues the floor plan for the apartment is really nice and if maintenance would keep them up they definitely would keep tenants. I will not be renewing my lease!!!

This place deserve negative five stars. Please do not move here unless you are desperate to bring up your credit score or establish a rental history. Either way, be prepared to have vagrants knocking on your door in the wee (2:00a.m.) hours of the morning, looking to break in or beg for money. Even worse, you may be approached when heading to your car to work. There is heavy drug dealing at this complex. I saw U.S. Marshals surround a whole complex looking for the drug dealer.My neighbor was attacked at 4:30a.m. when going to warm up his car in the winter to go to work. The assailant had a gun and my neighbor had to fight for his life. The security who rides around in the car is a joke. They only got security after so many robberies, break-ins, attacks. I was lucky to make it alive to the end of my lease. As a female, it was very frightening.Old rippled carpet, painted over kitchen cabinets (atrocious!), rat/possum holes under the sink,...my air conditioner failed in the summer; I had to threaten to call the news in order for maintenance to finally show up for repair. Water leaked in the hall causing mildew.... Dont even look here.....turn around...go back....google Alabama child predators...put in the complex address, and see how many child molestors live in proximity, many at the same address...four to one apartment......

This place is a joke. I have contacted maintinence REPEATEDLY about my AC not functioning correctly. The answer? Apparently duct tape. I have water ALL OVER MY FLOOR now from where they fixed a leak, apparently with tape, and now my AC panels are clacking away because the tape isnt enough to hold them together. Not only that, but my friend is an electrician. He took one look at the wiring on this thing and told me that not only was it not to code, it was probably not even properly grounded. There is MOLD in my utility closet, my kitchen ceiling is sagging from where the unit above me had a leaky pipe (nothing was ever done to fix or check my ceiling, so I can only assume that there is mold there as well). If this goes on much longer, it wont be the property manager and online review boards that I contact, it will be the city and the health department. I dont ask for much, just a working air conditioner and dry floors.

When we moved here it was nice, in May our ac unit went out and we called maintenance and they came out the whole ac was burnt out so we called the apartment management and they did absolutely nothing about it. Im 5 months pregnant and my 5 year daughter had to be sent away because it has been so hot we called maintenance so many times and they sent contractors and they told us it will be three hours to fix our ac unit and they never fixed. No one here cares it has been 90 degrees, but they wont they rent on time. Please listen do not move here they have let anybody move here and its bad, all security do is drive around.

Don’t even give them YOUR time of the day. It’s to the point where I’m just going to break my lease soon. Constant break-ins (some dealing with drugs, others just to take from others), car break-ins, fires, shootings (someone died last week here), water shuts off without no warning. Not a place to rest your head at night. The management, Sherry Howard to be exact, if you have a job.. DO IT! She never responds to emails and when I meet her in the office, automatic smart remarks and attitude. When I first moved in... my place wasn’t even ready for me to move in! No new carpet, painting, walls and doors were horrible, holes in the walls and roaches. Arlington Properties, The Park at Callington and Carlyle, just throw it all away.

Its not worth the money youre going to share your apartment with roaches the maintenance office is like they dont even have one cuz they are not going to come and and is not 580 a month is 680 a month for a one bedroom and staying over here Ive heard shootings and someone broke into my girlfriends car about 2 weeks ago its not worth spending your hard-earned money every month to pay them f*** them youre better off trying to find somewhere else to live oh yeah and last but not least they also have bed bugs

Landlord stole my wallet and lied about it after, I mistakenly left in office while viewing an apartment. After being overly nice, I knew something wasnt right with her.

Dealing with these apartments will be the worse mistake ever. Im going to give you the short version because I experienced issue after issue with these apartments. I was set to move April, all fees paid in full but could not move because the apartment was not ready. I was informed the problem would be fix ASAP, but after a week of constant going into office regarding issue still nothing. That was it for me, the lease was voided and process started for refund of money already paid. I was informed the process takes up to 30 business days so I recently called regarding refund and now Im told it will be 60 days smh. These apartments want your money but dont want to put needed work in their complex.

I dont live here but I know people that do this is a very dangerous place to live especially for children.The apartments are beautiful and cheap but thats about it. Cars are borken into often I was afraid to leave my car. Shooting is the norm. Stay away

This is the worst property to rent from. Every year they are under a new management. The manager of these properties do not care about their tenants. The apartments are infested with mold, rodents, gnats, roaches. Please dont let the cheap prices pull you in here. You will definitely be getting what you pay for.

My real review is to give them no stars because it has been horrible from the beginning. I have had the misfortune of moving to this infested and very poorly managed so called apartment. I lived here before it was under new management and have never had gnats, rats, roaches, spiders, mildew, mold, bed bugs, etc. But since living here I have had nothing but problems and they expect to be paid in full and on time. No one ever comes to fix anything and if they do it is done poorly and if anything more problems arise. I wish I never moved here and when the time comes I WILL be moving from this uninhabitable place.
