I have lived here for 6 months . The 2 BR, 2 BA I live in is really spacious. Havent really had any major problems so far, really great staff and maintenance are quick to respond with requests . My only dislike is that the walls are a bit thin so it makes me very uncomfortable to have a “good adult night”, party celebrations, or movie nights because I can hear the neighbors and the neighbors can hear me. They also failed to mention that all rooms doesnt have lights on the ceiling.. I either had to pay to get the lights added or use lamps for my livingroom, and both bedrooms

Update: Still bad. They are issuing parking decals, so people will not park illegally, but the issue is there is no parking, so you have to park illegally if you want to go home for the night. The leasing office is not helpful.Terrible office staff. I have lived there for over three years. The last year has been hell. I cant wait for July! Parking is the worse, and they will threaten to tow your car if parked illegally. Dont move here.

Best closet space I have seen in an apartment. Maintenance work orders are fast and the outside is kept clean. Able to do shorter lease than 12 months and all utilities except power are included in rent.

Im a current resident of the Oaks and love it. Great location, prices are reasonable, units are very nice, and the complex as a whole is very well maintained.

I have lived at The Oaks at Lakeshore for two years now, and I have had a wonderful experience. They are very affordable, and their apartments have great floor plans. Mrs. Dana is a fantastic manager, who has gone above and beyond for me personally on numerous occasions. The staff is so friendly, and I loved how close the complex was to UABs campus!

Quiet. Good location. This is my 3rd year living here. The rooms are more spacious than those in other apartment complexes. The office staff here is great and maintenance responds very quickly to any issues.

I have come to these apartments at least 4 or 5 times and every time, they give me an excuse as to why no one can show me an apartment. Last time, the lady said she would give me a call back and never did. Im starting to get suspicious.

Dana is by far one of the best apartment managers I have ever dealt with. Maintenance is also quick to respond to service requests.

Decent price for being semi close to downtown. The only star im knocking off isnt actually their fault but being downwind from some treatment plant made it smell like sewage outside, smell doesnt come inside though. Being that I dont go outside much if im home - Id rent there again.

Great community, very quiet, and great location. The entire staff is very friendly and work orders are always done immediately when you call in something. Love my apartment.
